This is the most awesome english teacher i know, he really makes writing a perfect A paper do-able, he works individually with each student's problem in writing...he will make sure you pass that final, and i think other teachers should take lessons from this guy. he is understanding, doesnt assign an big load, one novel, no research paper.<3

Joe has to be the best teacher at valley.His tests are very chill and his homework is pretty kicked back.He's a cool dude.

he's easy if u just try every day cuz u actually learn enough to get to the next class. But if u go in thinking u can write well n dont try n improve, u will fail.

This guy needs to take fewer students. He's popular and that is a problem when you need extra help because he is talking with about 15 students a day after class.

This professor has a great personality and is very helpful. His goal to help you pass the final with a great essay. If you need extra help he is willing to take the time if you are. Will definitely take him for English 102.

Very helpful and always working for the student's benefit. I've taken two of his classes and each time he worked hard to try to help me with everything. He was totally great and gave those who worked extra time to finish things sometimes. He was just fantastic.

This is by far one of the most greatest professors I've ever had! He always helps you and can be funny at times. I took 914 with him and that was a piece of cake! Great professor! you'll actually learn in this class. Definetely taking him for Engl.101

Took him online. This guy's cool. Exceedingly fair in his grading. The class was a bit unorganized but some of that can be attributed to Blackboard. I've had bad English teachers; he's not one of them. Highly recommeded.

Great professor, easy and you will have fun in his class. Does not give out much homework. Use of computers in class a lot which makes it easier and fun. Great sense of humor. will never ever yell at you or discipline you in a bad way. pretty much hes NOT STRICT!

Cool teacher. He's very helpful and encouraging. He's exceedlingly fair with his grading. I highly recommend him for any class. I hope I have the opportunity to take more classes with him in the future.

Great Teacher. He sits down one on one with you to discuss you writing habits. I enjoyed it because it was a writing lab in class and he clarifies everything you need to know.

Did the class online. Had to write 3 essays, and hardly any homework. Besides the writing, the class was easy. He is the best teacher online, wish I had him in person. Always responds to emails within a day. Loved his responses, filled with humor. Nothing but good...

I took this class online and it was extremely stressful for me. There are four papers, one mid-term, and one final. Prof. Notarangelo is a little slow on grading papers so I was very anxious about finding out how I did on my papers. I ended up getting an A in the class, despite how stressed out I felt about the class structure.

Mr. Notarangelo was very helpful and understanding. He reeds your papers to see what type of writer you are and to see what areas you need help with. He made the class interesting. IT was like he could appeal to the entire age group of the class. I really enjoyed being in his class.

Took him for eng. 914 and 015 super easy, very helpful, doesn't give a lot of assignments, wants you to do the best. Probably the best looking teacher I've had so far.

Gives practice finals so you can pass the 015 final. He's funny and makes writing essays easy. Attendance isn't mandatory just check blackboard for assignments and turn in when due. He allows one rewrite. Doesn't use SBVC textbooks, the book required you can get from public library. He's awesome! I'm taking again this summer via online for Eng101

Great teacher. Everyone calls him easy, but the real reason is that it is easy to understand what you are supposed to do. Don't come in expecting not to work!

He's a great professor, and he is very helpful. If you take him then do ALL the essays. Do not skip any of them. I aced 3 essays, skipped 1, Aced my mid-term, Aced my Final and still got a C. You can not miss any essay. Stay on the ball and you'll be okay.

GREAT ONLINE EXPERIENCE! Mr. Notarangelo was not an easy A. However, his assignments are clear, he grades fairly, and he is there to assist with any problem you may encounter. The best thing i liked about him was that he was extremely prompt in responding to emails and he was understanding. Do assigned work on time and you will be sure to pass!

Online classes are usually either easy or impossible. This was a real class that you could succeed in, if you get the materials right away and use them!

Mr. N was amazing. Great feedback with assignments. Always answers questions in a timely manner. One of the most helpful instructors I've had to date. Definitely would take another class with him!

best professor at valley college would take again and he is always their when you need him. Says a joke sometimes and no one laughs lol kinda awkward at times but other then that every one should take him very cool and nice teacher. he made me enjoy english and actually have fun doing the work im going to take him for english again.

Joe is awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He is a fun, cool, laid-back guy. Assignments are clear. Must do all assignments! English makes me nervous, but I asked questions anytime I needed clarification. Asking questions helped me get an 'A' in his class! He responds quickly to emails. He cares about his students. Joe is always in a good mood.

Joe is the best teacher at SBVC. Average amount of homework. He will let you redo an essay for more credit at the end of the semester. I hate english, but Joe made all the difference. Always willing to helpanswer questions. Joe always showed respect towards students. He cares and wants his students to succeed. I wish all teachers were like Joe!

Amazing professor, took him for English 015 and 101 and love it.

I felt that his class was fairly easy. He was very big on MLA format so make sure you know how to work your computer and word because you WILL receive a D on your paper if it's not formatted correctly. Rather then that, he was very specific and to the point. I really wish that I could take him again!

Prof Joe is amazing professor! He is always there to help you. He answer your email the same day. He is very clear on what he wants. Homework is less. He taught us to pass the campuswide test, that's all his goal was, and if you pay attention to all the details, there's no way you won't pass the campuswide test because they are all life experience.

Took his class online. Had all my email questions answered blazing fast. I don't think he sleeps.

Took short term summer class online. Not as bad as I thought it would be! One grammar assignment worth quite a bit of points but not difficult. 3 papers assigned on one novel. Reasonable due dates. Overall a really great class

I have never done any rating for my professors before. But this time, I feel that I needed to do so. I learned a lot in his class. He explained clearly the material and always ready to help you. I used not to like writing and I think because I don't really know how, but not anymore. Always get your work done. He did not accept late work.

I was placed into English 101 from the assessment test so it has been years since I have written any essays. It was hard but this professor helps out in any way to help you pass. And you get one redo on an essay if you do bad. Do ALL the assignements and take his advice and you will do fine.

Online class. He answers his emails very quickly and explains things in such a smooth way. He also posts YouTube videos of himself lecturing. He was great, I would take him again!

Prof. Joe is one of those professors who live in the real world. He isn't really speaking to students who are already amazing at writing. He aims at students who know writing will be important in their careers, and they just need to work at it to the point they don't sound like idiots.

Great teacher. A lot of work within the 7 week course but very well organized. Do the work and you should pass the class. Gives great comments back on papers.

As long as you do your work and follow the guidelines he gives for assignments you will get a good grade. Make sure you double check your grammar, he does grade down for that. Unfortunately, you have to purchase the code for online access to your assignments, but they are pretty easy.

I had Mr. Notarangelo for English 101, he was thorough, well organized and provided great feedback. I would take a class from him again in a heart beat... too bad he does not teach English 102.

Took this class online and it was a breeze. He assigns homework weeks before the due date so there is no excuse for not getting something in on time. Had 4 big writing assignments in this class and I passed them all just fine. Be sure to always read the instructions he gives you and take notes from e-book. Also, the book is bought online for $65.

Great professor. Gives a clear explanation on writing a proper essay. Must purchase e-book to do 6 chapter assignments and essays. There are also about 4 in class essays. Also a book to read which will be part of one of the essays. Keep up with work because pts are very important.

Took the summer sesh so it was kinda intense, but Notarangelo is awesome! Responds hella quickly to emails & provides excellent feedback. Keep up with the material & if you need extra help with simple grammar then utilize tutoring!!!! I had to peer review so many dumb essays lmao. Anyways, 10/10 would take again! Thanks professor!!!

M.R. Notarangelo is a good man take his class serious and do all your homework and don't miss any days and he will make sure to give you what you deserve at the end I will be taking him for my English 101, when I don't know yet but for sure I will be seeing him again in the future, great professor take him you wont be sorry. Professor Notarangelo is an AMAZING teacher! His online class is really well organized, and he replies quickly by email. HIs grading criteria is straight forward, and he doesn't nitpick. If I recall correctly, there were 3 essays, 1 midterm essay, and a final essay. Instructions for the essays are very clear.

Mr. Notarangelo was extremely up-front with his grading. There were no "grey areas" when it came to how to pass the class. He is funny and makes class comfortable. He's easy on the eyes as well.

I enjoyed the online class with Professor Notarangelo, clearly explains what's expected and gets everyone involved. I am not an fan of English classes but I did well. I would take another one of his classes definitely.

Overall assignments are writing. No extra credit. Do the work assigned and pass the class. He will respond to messages or keep student updated regarding grading. Discussions prepare for main assignment in module. Great Professor, would recommend as Professor.

Definitely would take this professor again. If you do the work he gives you credit EASY A if you put in the effort. He explains VERY clearly what he's looking for on the assignments , he even gives examples. 1 midterm, 1 final, and 3 module essays if I remember correctly. Grades fair, and sends reminders

I just finished my English 101 course with him, and he is one of the best teachers that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Also the assignments are well constructed and educational. Do the work and youll pass with no problem.

This guy really wants to help people get good enough in English to do whatever they want in life. He's not one of those "if you don't like writing, I don't like you" types. Attend, turn in your homework, and he will "trick you into learning this stuff." (his quote)

Took Professor Notarangelo for summer session and he was a great! His assignments are straight-forward and easy to understand. He does not provide extra credit, but did have his grading system available to know where you are in the class. He's responsive to emails and provides updates with grades asap. Can't wait to take him for English 102!

Took this class in the summer so it was a bit hectic, but not impossible. Along with the little assignments, we had to do 4 essays, a midterm, and a final. The prompts were very interesting and Professor Notarangelo was very clear on what he expects from them. Great class overall!

I took him over the summer 2018 and he was very clear on grading, participation matters there are peer reviews there were 3 short essays a midterm and a final I barely read the book that was required and made it with little effort.

This is by far the best English teacher on the campus. He is very organized and will help you get ready for the next level. His style is great because he teaches you neat tricks and how to really prepare a great essay. I had him for 015 and 101 I feel I am a stronger writer with his guidance and teaching skills. You will not feel pressured!!

This professior does not give hard work, easy grader, and not to much work either. Just do the few assignments that he post and you will pass the class easily.

Amazing professor! I took him for summer online and he made the class so easy! No textbook needed. We had five essays but he was a super easy grader! As long as you turn in your work, youll pass. He made everything so easy in this class.

The sweetest teacher I've ever had. He really does care for his students & answer emails really fast. Doesn't give homework on holidays and his assignment are well planned out. My writing skills aren't that great but I have a 98 in his class so the essay shouldn't be a problem as long as you do the requirements and turn it in on time.

Professor Joe is one of the best professors I've had. He's funny, understanding, and keeps the lesson upbeat. He is very organized, straightforward, and easy to contact via email. You can ask all the questions you need and he will be happy to answer all of them! He is very detailed with explanations and is dedicated to helping all of his students!

Professor Notarangelo is hands down an awesome English Professor. He is very understandable with all the assigned papers and makes do peer reviews before submitting the paper. English is my second language and not proficient with my writing but with this class, I am grateful to have learned and have became a better writer. Thank you Professor!

This professor single-handedly made me like writing a little bit more and was super nice, communicative and understanding. No bad things for me to say about this professor. He is an angel in disguise. By all means take his class for a breeze in English.

This class is very easy to pass. Just do all the assignments and use the writing center many times on your essays. About 5 or 6 essays. The professor does cancel a class a lot.

Great professor. Class was really easy, attendance not mandatory but would attend to understand hw. Gives lots of opportunities to get extra credit so take it if you miss hw. Does NOT take late work or essays. All essay prompts were fun. Will have a midterm! My class did not have a final but instead had a research paper.

Easiest English class I've ever been in. The professor is sweet and there are barely any assignments. He is an easy grader too.

He is one of if not the best English's professors and it was one of the easiest class I've taken, the professor is very kind and although English is my least favorite subject he made me appreciate it more. He also makes you do peer reviews before turning in your final draft which helps in correcting mistakes.

Very easy to take. The midterm is very simple and the final is just a research paper (I was able to complete it in under an hour). You will have a few papers but it's manageable. The worst part about this class is going to the writing center (this is because it can be time consuming, the writing center is actually very helpful).

Awesome professor, gives extra credit. clear feed back, is funny, caring, tells you exactly what he wants from the papers assigned, is available to his students. Just follow instructions and if you need help ask. TOTALLY would take his class gain.

I took his class for my very first semester of college and it was the best decision I made. He is one of the best professors I've had so far. He's a very understanding, caring, and funny professor. Had a total of three essays and his class is very easy, just make sure to stay on top of your assignments. I would recommend taking his class to anyone!

Honestly the best English professor I have ever had. Only had a few essays that were not that long. He is also pretty generous when it comes to grading. Take every extra credit opportunity he gives bc they're super easy. If you feel like English isn't your best subject I strongly suggest you take him, I learned so much!

he is such a laidback and chill professor, gives so much extra credit when he can so take him up on it, my grade was at 112% so i was able to slack a bit towards the end and still have an A. Talk to him if you ever need him, he answers emails within a decent time.

I took him online he very understanding and is you are an SAS student i would recommend him. eassy to do assiments only 4 total eassy and gives lot of times to do them for most of the eassy you can go off personal experiences or go more research bases he gives you the two options.

Professor Notarangelo was great.Extremely easy.I took him online summer class. One thing only was the research paper you have to follow all the rules, and he gave me many try's to fix my errors on my research paper and got full points.lf your new to college or have failed English101 l recommend this professor you will pass I promise.
