totally unclear, quizzes on pointless material, don't take his EP1 course!
I Love you, Pizzillo!
Thought he was great, though I heard he was hard in other classes. Great job and knows his stuff!
cool guy. very clear as to what he wants. knows what hes talkin bout
Nice guy... knows a lot about teaching and can help you with job interviews and whatnot
we had the best class discussions..he knew everyones name in a matter of days..so personable and knowledgeable...never boring!! great guy!!
Very brilliant man. Loved him for both I and II. He is just wonderful!
he knows so much that it's scary
He is a great teacher. Very helpful.
great teacher. will help you tremendously. says things over and over again in order for the student to memorize the materials thats going to to be on the test.taking him for ed. policy i,better than overtoom, a lwayer and lackey.
This man irritated me to no end. Had a few definite favorites in the class, not very helpful, did not learn a darn thing.
hands down pizillo is the best teacher ive had so far in the education dept.if you had him for one class and take him again, hell remember you forever.some kids dont like him cause well he gives he gives work and its college-which is supposed to be about.
nice guy but extremely unclear and confusing, he focuses on unimportant information, has very weird expectations. no room for creativity in his classroom.
Helped me tons with remembering names when i became a tecaher and had 501 students my first year. Teaches you alot about CYA and whatnot. Alot of paper writing.
Ya Know?
He knew what he was talking about, but I didn't have a clue! He assigned one textbook and taught from a different book (the one he used when my older sister took the class). If given the choice, I recommend taking his tests as a group.
for hist of am ed - tough class. he is definetly a really nice guy and a really nice teacher..pretty funny..extremely smart..maybe too smart....a TON of work/hard tests/hard essays/plus a REALLY long paper.
very personable, humorous. moves quickly. writes on side boards- hard to see. lot of oral quizzing to get through class material. some group tests using analogies, difficult fill-ins. very LONG, time-consuming paper and few other MUCH shorter papers.
fair in grading
I've been teaching for 4 years now and can tell you that he teaches you how to be a professional and think as one. Two of the hardest teaching courses I ever took(time involved & content learned), but having said that, I know I earned those grades and am
tests are impossible
Unprofessional and unfair.
Lively. Knows his $#!*
Great guy. Really seems to enjoy what he's doing. Makes class fun and interesting--time flies by. To pass his tests, you MUST do the many readings and STUDY because they're evil. I liked his gladiators game so much that I use it in my own classes.
EXTREMELY HARD.. hes a nice guy but its just impossible to get good grades on the test and quizes. I never got so mad about a class before. Study all u want, its just not gonna help
he's a cutie. interesting, but quick paced. tests are tough but he allows you to take tests as a group and that can be pretty helpful if you split the test up.
nice guy but moved way to fast for me. i had no clue what i was doing at all in the class. tests were hard but passable if you can bs well. and his history of my life project sucked too.
Knows his stuff!!! Sometimes goes too fast, and tests are hard but he gives you all the answers in the lectures. Do not get in a group to take his exams, take them by yourself.
I love him. Really!
hated him during the year cuz his class was hard and i failed every quiz.thought I had an F. I figured him out and got my grade for the semester.I was hoping for a C and I got a B.he makes the class hard so u want to try harder.its works! awesome teacher
Dr. Pizzillo's class is so important for teaching. All kinds of crazy situations have come up in student teaching and Pizzillo prepared me for all of them. He can really save you from lawsuits, and you'll learn about the inner workings of schools.
NEVER take him. He makes things more difficult than they have to be. It's hard to know what is going on in the class. Very unprofessional, tells students that they are stupid in front of the entire class even though they did nothing to provoke it.
Not a good teacher speak unclear, and just a hard class for no reason
i think he's so cute :)
Dr. P iz an amazing professor...take him if you truly wanna learn something...class is hard as hell, but you learn something...big paper, hard midterm and final, tedious work...lots of work for a gen ed, but i love this guy! lol...
dr. p is a great teacher and always willing to help his students at anytime. the paper was a big deal but it wasn't too bad. as long as you pay attention, do the reading and assignments, it's a breeze. some classes are kind of boring but he's a pretty good guy and tries to keep it interesting.
anyone interested in teaching NEEDS to have this guy . He really knows what hes talking about. Do your reading and be ready to discuss in class and you'll be fine! Im telling you, take him. It was a good class.
I understand that educational law/policy is important for future teachers. But seriously, I don't think I will take any of this class with me in my future. He's a nice guy, but completely vague and his exams are downright impossible. Also wants you to know his personal acronyms which is unfair
I agree with previous poster, he is really to vague as far as what he wants. Exams were impossible and the acronyms were really annoying. He is a fun and VERY friendly professor who really knows his stuff, but unfortunately the class was harder then I think it warranted.
Dr. P Rocks! I had him for a summer class and it was THE best class I took at Rowan. If you have trouble in his class you are not going to cut it as a teacher. Listen to what he is saying he knows what he is talking about. I had him four years ago and I still referencing the Public School Law book
Very good teacher, very nice and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. P.
horrible.. soooo hard... if u dont like gettin called on in class, dont take him!! allllways calls on u at least 5 times a class... midterm=impossible final=impoissible.. anddd be prepared for a 30 + paper! thanks!
Dr. P is one of my favorite teachers in the Education department. He always makes class interesting and even though the work can be hard, it gives you a great sense of accomplishment when you get an A. Take Dr. P!!!!
Prof P is very explicit with the course's curriculum. He tests hard and grades fairly. You must read to understand education's political science. He makes the dry material interesting.
Excellent! Take good notes, study them every day, follow directions for assignments, and you'll do well. Very knowledgeable...wants students to succeed in school and careers. Very useful information! Take his class!
Awesome professor!! Would definitely take him again!
Dr. P is awesome!! Expect to do some work, and expect to be called on in class, but he is really nice and very fair. I recommend him.
great teacher, great personality, you need to put effort itno the class, if you participate he'll like you...also not bad looking :)
Had the biggest crush on him. Took him in the summer during the OJ case trial. I learned so much about policy and oh my God he is soooo cute!!!!
Best education teacher at Rowan! Knows so much and wants to share everything with the class. He is a great guy and he makes class fun. His lessons were very practical and helpful! Highly recommended!
Excellent Prof-really knows his sutff and the assignments may seem like a lot but they're easy and fun. The first day he throws a lot at u, but it's really easy and he def prepares u for being a teacher. Plus he's a funny guy. Def take him.
he does not tell you what is due, huge paper, hard midterm and final... i do not recomend unless you like to do an ish load of work for a GEN ED
I'm a 4.0 student, and I still would not reccommend taking his class for History of American Edu. He gives a HUGE paper (150 pages) a midterm with a ridiculous # of terms and a final with the same thing. You never know what's going on in class with things being due, and I know you wont look forward to going to class. He's a nice guy but CRAZY!!!
this guys knows everything about everything. you cannot bs anything u write. why? because he wrote ur textbook! he is a very good teacher and i learned a lot more than i could ever imagine. do the assignments and youll get a good grade. if your going to be a teacher you want him!
He is an awesome teacher..the first day when i saw the work load i was freaking out but he works with you...lots of group work...i ended up with an A
Dr. Pizzilo is incredibly smart and very funny, but his class is extremely difficult...be forewarned...you NEED to have an excellent memory to do well in this class, and be prepared to wirte and 50+ paper. If you do not feel you have a lot of time to put into his class, I don't recommend taking it.
Dr. Pizzillo is a great professor who is clear, understanding, and helps students really grasp what teaching is like in a realistic way. If you study for the tests you'll be fine. He's also understanding. He's an awesome professor and I learned a lot from his class.
There is definitely a lot of work. It's not particularly difficult, it just takes a lot of time. He gives A LOT of quizzes, and you really have to know the information. If he mumbles something under his breath, write it down, because it'll be on the test. The class isn't the worst, but it's a lot of work and I'm glad it's over.
EXCELLENT teacher!! Other teachers should model off of him. There should be more teachers like him. Definetly one of the top teachers at rowan. Knows his stuff!
The best professor I have EVER had. There is nothing he doesn't know. VERY helpful, able to answer all my questions. You will learn more than you can imagine if you take his class. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED! A+!!!!
Pizzillo is extremely smart. he's really nice and tells you exactly what he wants from you. I heard a lot of the classes he teaches are alot of work but CKA isnt that bad at all. I mean -- u read a lot but the whole class is based on the one project you do..and most ppl did it the night before IT WAS ABOUT YOURSELF! i def reccomend taking him
Great professor. He really gets the point of the class across to you. There's a lot of studying required, but it's all group work. (which could be bad or good) intimidating at first, but all in all he's an awesome guy. one main project determines your grade, but the project is on yourself!
Excellent... Very informative about the education system especially legal aspect. Great practical lessons. Very hand-on assignments. Quizzes were varied in style. Highly Recommended.
He knows almost everything there is too know about teaching. he gives a lot of quizzes and it is hardly from the book, mostly from lecture. Two big projects worth 70% of grade
He's easily one of the greatest teachers out there. He answers every question you could possibly have and gives extra credit. Also, two project make up most of your grade and their straightforward and easy to do. Not a lot of quizzes from the book, mostly from lectures. He keeps your interest. Definately take him.
this guy is the man!...he makes u work hard but u will learn so much about teaching...especially how not to get into trouble if you are a teacher...TAKE PIZZILLO!!!
Awesome teacher! I loved going to class because he made it fun. He's very smart and you learn so much from him. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had!
Dr. Pizzillo is easily one of the best professors in his department. Enthusiastic about his subject, and he has experience about what he teaches. I liked going to class, it was fun. Especially because Teaching: Intro to the Profession is a class designed to make you change your mind about teaching. But, Pizzillo made it awesome.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
NJ alternate route for teachers. This guy awsome!
I was in his intro into the profession and he was a wonderful teacher. All of us complained while in his class since you had to do alot of work, but my whole class wants to take him again as a teacher since he taught us so much and he knows his stuff. Great professor to take!
Had him for TIP, i freaked out by all the work at first but ended up learning so much stuff from him... great professor, knows your name by like the fourth class.. a great guy, great professor, very personable, he is hard but i recommend him
The guy talks so quick. I can't understand when he starts telling us definitions of terms. Goes soo quick. Gotta relax off the coffee.
He's a ridiculously fast talker.. very hard to comprehend. he tries to do too much in too little of time. the majority of my class was confused every day... but he's an easy grader. lots of terms to know though
pretty hardcore teaching Never know when he's throwing hypothetical questions at you or really asking you something Very fast talker expects you to write as fast as he speaks He knows his stuff though and will be more than happy to help you (if you can find the time) Expect to study a lot and to not fool around, tons of terms, not to harsh gradwise
He is really hard but a really reasonable grader. You have to do a lot of work in the class but you learn so much. He talks fast but will repeat anything if you ask. Sit near the front and raise your hand or participate a lot because he'll like you and that's a great thing. Really nice and funny.
He knows what he's talking about when it comes to course material, but not very clear. Hard tests that require LOTS memorazation! Although he gives a chance to consult him if anything...
Very fast talker; answers questions with questions (constantly), but he understands students. If you do the work (mainly reading and studying for quizzes), show up, and show mild interest, you'll be fine. He is very nice but expects you to work. P.S. Study for the quizzes!
Nice guy, good teaching skills but hard. The class is you reading the book and finding the definition/importance of terms, then you talk in class about the terms. midterm and final was rediculous. A lot of terms to memorize. Also, there is a paper about you and your education that is intense. He stated he got a paper once that was 85 pages.
Be prepared to work extremely hard in this class. The final paper does cover a lot of substance. However, Dr. P. is brillant and truly teaches you things every educator should know! The hard word does pay off when everyone else who has not taken him cannot handle upper level education assignments.
One of the few teachers at Rowan who actually knows how to teach. Brillant man, excellent teacher. Would take him for every class if I could.
One of the most amazing professor I have taken a class from. He is extremely knowledgeable on several subjects. His assignments are challenging however, they are not the normal boring academic assignments. I highly reccomend taking Pizzillo for CKA.
One of the most amazing professor I have taken a class from. He is extremely knowledgeable on several subjects. His assignments are challenging however, they are not the normal boring academic assignments. I highly reccomend taking Pizzillo for CKA.
Great teacher! He's very, very smart, but will not talk to the class as though he's better than you. He is very easy to get along with and did not see him lose his temper once. If he allows your class to work in groups, I HIGHLY recommend it! It makes it much easier! And make sure you do your projects!!!!
I'm taking him right now and his class is extremly hard! I am a straight A student and have gotten 2 C's and 2 B's in his class so far. we've had 3 tests in the last month! He explains assignments in pieces making it hard to follow. i am really worried about my grade in his class i would not take him unless you have a lot of free time on your hands
I'm in his CKA class right now. I agree that he explains his projects in pieces which is really confusing at first, but he is such an understanding and nice professor. He is beyond willing to answer any questions. His classes are interesting and there are no mid-terms or finals. You take the quizzes in groups.
I'm in his History of American ed class. probably the most boring class. He's a nice guy, but not a great teacher. He says to read the book and do all the concepts and then in class the next day he goes on a rant about one or two vocab words and then we leave. you need to know a lot of different people and what they did and we rarely go over them.
Dr. P defiantly knows his subject and is always will to offer help. However his class is unorganized at times and he runs subjects together. He says boo or boo-et over and over again. Over not bad I would take him again.
His class is rather boring he doesn't teach you anything just goes over what assignments are due every week and quizes are very hard and i'm a staright A student but i ended up with a B+ in the class would not want to take him again
I had Dr. Pizzillo for history of american education. He is a wonderful teacher and person. I did not read the text book and got a B+ on both exams and my paper and in the class. Do not miss a class without e-mailing him because u can take exams in groups. Make flash cards for terms and study, study, study!
I loved Dr. Pizzillo's class. His assignments were very long but they were not hard. He cares about each individual student. He is also very knowledgeable about what he teaches. You take exams in groups. The projects were fun. If you don't mind the work then take the class.
Dr. Pizzilo assigns 3 chapters per test but gives absolutely no review. He barely goes over the content for the class but rambles on and on about school law. He is also petty (my group lost points on a test because it was not stapled correctly). If you actually want to learn about CKA take someone else.
Kind of hard but different then other classes. It nine pages of stuff you have to define thats on the midterm and the final. Also long paper at end but it is actually kind of fun. Try to find an easier teacher who gives less work but over all he is not to bad
Possibly the worst professor at Rowan. He doesn't go over any material and instead talks about himself and his interests for the entire period. He then asks the class to define things he never discussed, and when no one knows he refuses to teach us. If you want to fail, take this class.
Hes a nice person but a horrible teacher. All we ever do in that class is talk about the assignments that are due and he over complicates everything. If i had the choice, i wouldnt take his class ever again. He is a tough grader and is boring and never makes sense. He dresses like a tourist in his tan shorts, fanny pack, and sun glasses. DROP ASAP.
He is a very tough grader, but if you do all of the work, you'll make it out fine. He isn't a professor to take if you aren't willing to work. You must be motivated for this class because a lot of work is on your own. Overall, I like him and I'll be taking him again for my CKA class.
I loved his class. You get a packet of terms to define that are on the exams. He expects students to want to learn. If you do not put in the effort, he will not spoon feed (as it should be). show up for class and take exams in groups of 2 or 3. Easy if you pay attention and want to get something out of the class. IMPORTANT INFO FOR TEACHERS LEGALLY
I would not take his class again. He did not teach anything except for the two projects every class. You have to learn on your own. Make sure you buy the textbook because you will need it to teach yourself. Only positive thing is that you take tests in groups of 2 or 3 which is easier, but still hard. I did not like this class.
A little intimidating. Be ready to work. He'll go over anything you ask, but only if YOU ask. He never does any work out of the book and expects you to read an endless amount of pages to be caught up for the next class. 1 huge paper. The midterm and final you get to work in groups, but only if you hand in all assignments on time and come to class.
There are two big projects during the course of the semester, and that's all we went over in class. You need the textbook to teach yourself everything! We did get to take quizzes in groups, but they were still challenging. Not my favorite class.
If you want to take Pizzilo, do it for CKA and NOT FOR HAE. I got an A in one class and an F in the other. In Cka he is funny and understanding, but in Hae he will make your life so hard.
I had Dr. P for HAE and CKA. I didn't really like either of his classes. In HAE he expects you to know everything before he goes over it in class, the only grades are 10pt participation, the midterm, and the final. In CKA you literally don't learn anything. Every class consists of talking about your paper and presentation.
Nice man, horrible teacher. Had him for HAE. The only 3 grades for the class were: a huge paper, a midterm, and a final. You could work in groups for the midterm and final ONLY if you attended class everyday, otherwise he takes you out of your group, and then you are forced to take a huge final all by yourself. I do not recommend him.
I dont know what anyone here is talking about he is a great professor and I really enjoyed the class. It is VERY easy if you do the work. Its a project about you, its long but its about yourself. Dr.P really takes an interest in his students and he will know you.
He honestly is one of the best professors I've had at Rowan and he cares so much about his students. The quizzes can be done in groups but they can be slightly hard sometimes. You also have a huge paper but it's all about yourself and you spend all semester talking and presenting it in class. Definitely worth taking his class!
HAE is just a lot of memorization of terms. Dr.P is a funny guy, and you can tell he loves the subject he teaches. He does tend to jump around which keeps you on your toes. He will also crack funny jokes, and uses a lot of examples to explain certain terms. Midterm/ Final can be done in groups if you show up to class. Definitely Recommend.
This class literally was the worst. All he did was talk about the papers/projects every single class. He would write stuff on the board the first five minutes and then erase it without saying anything. You need to teach yourself everything on the test because he doesn't go over anything important during class. The projects are very confusing.
Had Dr. P for CKA and HAE. He's a sweetie. So willing to help, but don't be shy. He loves when you take interest and initiative. Passionate about what he does and an all-around great professor. Take him!
Great teacher, and loves his job. I had him for CKA and the majority of our grade was based on two papers we wrote about ourselves. He does not teach about the actual class much. You can take tests in a group which is extremely helpful.
He's a fun guy, but he throws a lot of information at you at once and leaves a lot of the terms for you to look up and learn on your own. As long as you study, keep up with the readings, go to class, and keep your group privilege for the midterm and final, you should be fine.
Dr. Pizzillo was a very nice man, but he was hardly helpful. I had him for Character of Knowledge Acquisitioned, and every day of the course we would talk about future projects that were due. However, although we discussed them every day, we still had no idea what to do. Also, we would only use the textbook by ourselves to study for quizzes.
I had Dr. Pizzilo for HAE and at first I thought I was going to hate him. However, as time passed, he grew on me. Dr. Pizzilo really cares about his job and his students. Yes, he does throw a lot of information at you, but he does explain it if you ask him to. The paper is long, but it is all about you. I'm taking him fro CKA, highly recommend him!
He is a nice guy but he cannot teach. He talks mostly about the two papers the entire class or something law related. He doesn't really help you. If you have a question... he kind of answers it but not clearly. You take all the tests in groups which is nice. Honestly, just work really hard. He loves details and hard workers.
I had Professor Pizzillo for History of American Education and CKA he is extremely helpful. When you have problems he will go over them until you understand. But you must do your work. You also must be present to all classes in order to have the group perks (tests and quizzes) Honestly he is one of the best professors I have ever had.
For CKA you don't have a midterm or a final. you have 5 quizzes and 4 film analysis. you have 2 long papers to write. his class can be challenging but he is a really sweet and caring professor. it is hard at times but he's very with and nice
I found it pointless to go to class because all he did was talk about this HUGE project every single day. No final. I suggest taking the quizzes serious and the huge project serious. The project will seem to be confusing, but it's all about you. PRACTICE presenting it! The written project is just a written format of your presentation. VERY EASY!
Had him for CKA and HAE. He does not teach, period. His idea of a History class is a bunch of sheets of random terms with no sense of chronology or context. CKA is a semester worth of projects and presentations. All course content is entirely self taught by reading the book.
Worst professor I have ever had. lets you work in groups but kicks you out if you miss class even if it is a legit reason why you were absent. Jumps all over the place. Makes no sense. Very boring. Hard tests. Wouldn't recommend him and would never take him again.
Here's the deal: This class was the class I've had to study the most for ,out of my whole college experience. It's not just history of American Education, but History of America. You will learn things that do not correlate with each other and will confuse you. However, if you fill out all of the concept sheets and study that you will do okay
Dr. Pizzillio isn't the best professor out there because he jumps from topic to topic. However, if you study the book for the 4 group quizzes, you will do okay. There are two papers which are each worth about a fourth of your grade. They are ultimately about yourself but you need to pay attention in class to do well on them.
You really have to work hard for a good grade in this class but he is a really nice guy. If you don't understand something just raise your hand and ask. It's not that he is a bad professor you just need to work for the grade
First of all, It's extremely ironic that Pizzillo teaches a class on how to employ effective teaching strategies when this is honestly the most confusing class I have ever taken. He doesn't actually teach, he makes you read from the text. Very unclear about what he wants in the projects. Test reviews are a joke. He's a nice guy though!!
This is the hardest class I've had all year. He is unclear about his assignments. His test reviews do not help at all. He loves it when you participate, so if you know the answer, PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE. He also loves when you compare lectures to your own life. He WILL target procrastinators.
This man... If you have a class with him GET. OUT. He is VERY unclear with what he expects of his students. His lectures are confusing. And there are WAY too many concepts and facts to memorize that he expects you to know on the spot. Get ready to read A LOT. If you have a heavy semester, trying to balance 5 other classes AND his class, get out.
He is a nice guy and he is always willing to help, always offering his office hours and assignments from last year's students to give you an example of what to do for projects. He assigns a lot of projects and papers but paces the work out in class so you wont put it off. Overall good class, but don't expect an easy A. You have to put in the effort
Worst teacher I've ever had. He doesn't teach and spends all semester talking about the big projects that are due at the end of the semester. He's very unclear and manages to somehow not answer your questions when you ask him anything. You absolutely need the book since all of the learning is done on your own. Tough grader as well. Stay away!
The hardest B I've ever worked for ! Dr. P is no joke . I hated the class in the beginning of the semester BUT there is a method to his madness His lectures are a bit hard to follow so make at least 1 friend You only have 3 grades ( Midterm, Final, Major Paper) NO extra credit study hard ! the exams are difficult GET A PARTNER for the exams
There are many tags that I could give Dr. Pizzillo. I generally gave him a good review, because at the end of the semester I left in absolute awe of Dr. Pizzillo. This was my hardest class that semester and I did frequently complain, but in the long run I enjoyed it. There were times where Dr. Pizzillo was all over the place/not clear, but I lived.
Very intelligent professor. He knows EVERYTHING you throw at him. He likes to connect key terms/concepts to real life, and expects the class to participate in each lecture. He is an easy person to talk to and will help you when you ask for it. He does not give any tests or quizzes, although the midterm and final is tough. Make sure you read!
Hands down the hardest teacher I have ever had. First day of class I had no clue what was going on. He is all over the place. I never read one thing in his class nor did I do one thing and was able to come out with a C average. The only way you can pass is if you can keep your groups for the Midterm and Final. SHOW UP FOR CLASS
Dr. Pizzillo is a nice guy and he will help you if you ask for it. You have three big projects, 4 film analyses, and 6 quizzes. The quizzes and FAs are tough, but you work with partners on them, as long as you do not lose the privilege. He does not hand out the grade, you have to earn it. He's an overall great professor, and cares for his students.
Pizzillo is great at lecture. However he seeks to get rid of procrastination and even if you are not a procrastinator, it is Still hard. I worked my ass off. I read the entire textbook, studied & participated but it still wasn't enough. If you lose your group testing priviledge you're in Big trouble and he won't tell you your grade unless you ask.
Dr.P is a very demanding professor. Be ready to read and work your butt off. However, it is the most rewarding class. I worked so hard and received an "A-" on the final! Get ready to get challenged, yet be rewarded. He is an amazing professor and will answer any question you have for him with ease. It's a must take class!
Dr Pizzillo is an interesting one. You depend solely on attendance hoping you finished the concepts sheets. Willing to help if you ask for it but you must make sure you turn in all your drafts and attend class. Midterm and final are in groups if you have above a C in the class. Its crucial. Both exams are over 10 pages front and back. Impossible
I took Pizzillo for both CKA and HAE and I'm so happy I did. He's one of those professors who takes time to get to know his students and will answer literally any question you have. He's not an easy teacher, you have to work for your grade but I learned so much from taking his classes. I'd recommend him 100%.
If you take CKA or History of American Ed with him, good luck. Detail your essays and write long answers (although this syllabus has no directions to anything). He takes points off if he doesn't like the font or way your PowerPoint slides are set up (again, not in the syllabus) STAY AWAY. :)
I took CKA online last summer. Most of the content for this course was review for me because I learned it back in high school in AP Psych. I still used the textbook a lot because he kept grading me poorly. I watched every lecture. Not once did he give me decent feedback. His criteria is vague. He's not helpful at all. I learned nothing new there.
Both CKA and HAE with him are challenging and require you to put in some good effort. You really need to read/participate/ask questions if you want to do well. He did allow for group testing and explains things that are specifically asked about, but if you don't ask, he won't tell. Much of his classes were in prep for final essays. Still: loved him
Dr. P is a very smart man. When it comes to class, go and ask questions!! He will answer any question you ask and the way he answers is how it will show up on the midterm and final. He does not like procrastination. There isn't a lot of homework but know the terms before class so you can participate. Participation is MAJOR KEY!!
Dr. Pizzillo was a good professor. The online class had barely anything due but you should expect to be very descriptive in the assignments. He wants descriptive writing while of course answering the question given in the assignment. I recommend taking him online instead of in person. A friend said in person was difficult for him.
He is really nice. The online class was really easy. 4 major projects, 2 journals, and dq. Make sure you detail your work, and your grammar. He's really sweet, and cares about his students. I hope to take him in person sometime. I recomend
I had Dr Pizzillo for Intercultural Studies many years ago. I learned so much in his class. The course material was very interesting and the way he taught made us all think. Be prepared to participate in his classes.
