Exams are not multiple choice. They are essay exams. They will require about 10-20 hours of study each. It is a very difficult class, but "you'll be fine." Pay attention. Don't skip class, and stick through the hard information. It will make sense once everything comes together. I learned a lot. Best professor I've ever had.

I took him for Micro for Majors, I learned so much. his tests are not multiple choice and while that may sound scary at first it is the best. they are open respond so you get lots of partial credit. studying is a must!

He gives essay exams and they're based off of information from his lectures, so DO NOT skip! Do the reviews for the tests and study those. Lots of information, but it's all totally worth it. The only thing that surpasses his ability to reach students is his love for Star Trek. Dr. Said is an amazing professor. I took A&P 1 with him after having a bad experience with another A&P professor. He makes sure that everyone understands the information before moving on to a new subject and gives very detailed reviews that contain the exact information that is on the test. The only grades he takes are lecture and lab tests.

Absolutely the best professor Ive had, his tests are essay/short answers questions, very easy grader and gives partial credit. His lectures are amazing and loves to interact with the class. He has pop quizzes occasionally that are hardly worth anything and also a take home exam that he will help you with. If you study enough it is easy, very fair

I would rate him a 5 star. When I came to this class I came in with a mindset that had to be broken. It only seems intense because he wants you to really learn the material. To really remember this material even when you are done with his class. He is willing to help you, be prepared to take notes and record his lectures it really helps.O/A Awesome

Awesome professor! This is my second semester with him. I took A&P 1 with him last semester, second semester Micro. He is very thorough and knows what he's talking about. Super cool person who always has time for you. He ALWAYS gives reviews. There are no multiple choice tests, only open-ended questions, this makes you learn the material. Take him!

His exams are very different, prefers you write out paragraphs explaining the question a pose to answering multiple choice to make sure you actually understand the concept and not just selecting answers like a robot. I 100% would take him again even though my brain is currently jelly!

Professor Said was a very intelligent teacher with much knowledge of what he was teaching. You need to study every single day he says in order to make a good grade. His tests are kind of hard but as long as you know most information from the lectures then you will be fine. The lab practicals are hard if you do not attend labs. Overall a good class.

Lectures are difficult, note heavy, and mostly discussion. He listens to his students and will help explain a confusing topic if need be. Other than studying, which is highly recommended, he doesn't give homework. Overall, I was pleased to have him and would definitely take his class again.

One of the best professors you could take in a very hard course. Even while being stuck in an online semester because of covid-19, Professor Said was more than open and accessible to us. Dr. Said is one of those few good professors that is passionate about teaching. He will provide all the information you need to pass every exam. He is more modern and utilizes technology to form a better community in his classroom. Even if you are not able to attend his live virtual lectures, his prerecorded lectures are very detailed/explained.

Due to Covid-19 we had many lecture videos to look at ,since this was an online class and two days a week we had Q & A's to talk about any questions or topics we needed help on. Took the hybrid class and it is mostly lab packets and tests for every unit. He has good lecture videos and gives you a good amount of time to finish tests and packets. He sometimes would put things on the tests that we did not learn well or was for the next unit.

He is a good professor to take for Biology. In his lectures, he covers almost everything that you need for the lecture exams, so take notes! Notes are important for the lecture exams as well for lab packets and lab exams.

I have taken Dr. Said for Anatomy I and Microbiology and he is the best professor I have taken at San Jac. The tests are not multiple choice, you must write out your answers. Took him for Bio 1306 we had 4 Lecture exams & 4 Lab exams, one project, the Final Exam, and one opportunity for extra credit. His exams are not multiple choice but he grades fairly, sometimes he asks for a one sentence answer or sometimes more but he isn't too harsh at grading. He cares for his students, he wants you to succeed. 100% recommend.

I took Dr. Said for AP 1, and micro. He 100% wants his students to succeed. Very thorough with his lectures and doesnt assign busy work so that you can study. Hes pretty hilarious and cares about his students. Wont make you read from a textbook which is awesome. Hes the greatest. Take him if you need biology, AP 1 or 2, or micro.

Dr. Said is one of the best teachers I've ever had! He genuinely cares about you learning the material and not just passing. He REALLY encourages you to ask questions and not stay quiet. The material is hard but he will help you through it. He makes up sample questions on Kahoot if you ask. He gives sample questions to test. Loved him!

Dr. Said was the first professor I've ad in 10 years and I'm honestly scared to take anyone else for a science class. His lecture and lab videos were very thorough, as were his reviews. He held live sessions so that you had ample opportunity to have discussions and was always available via the group app with questions as well.

Ive taken Dr. Said for most of my sciences at SanJac. He is easy to get in touch with if you need clarification on anything. Aside from studying, you will have almost no homework. He expects you to learn concepts and be able to explain them back on exams. Super funny, friendly professor that will encourage you to do better. Absolutely the best.

Dr. Said is by far one of the best professors. In lectures, he teaches you everything you need to know for the test and writes down the notes on the board. It is your job to study the notes and prepare for the test (the only assignment you have for this class is to study). I like Dr. Said's class so much that I plan on taking 3 more of his classes!

Dr Said's awesome. He's easy to contact outside of class. There's no homework-just exams. There are several opportunities for extra credit on exams in lab and lecture. It's a lot of material so it's not an "easy" class but Dr Said makes it as pain free as possible. If I needed more science credits I'd sign up for one of his classes in a heartbeat.

There is a ton of information in his anatomy classes but even with ADHD, Dr. Said has made it easy for me to pass with an A. He is a really outgoing and goofy professor. Dr.Said is good at explaining the material because of all the experience he has. He explains things clearly and gives extra credit at times. You do have to study a lot for the class but that is because biology is all about memorizing. Just study at every opportunity and memorize everything he says. He will never assign homework.

His class is difficult in nature, but he does everything he can to help and understand how much his students know. He primarily does free response in which he likes to have his students write down everything they know to have a better idea of what they know. Again, his class is difficult so i you take him, ask him as many questions as you need.

He wants you to pass but he also wants you to learn. If you just need him for a credit maybe not, but if you're someone who needs to remember this content (such as a nursing major) he is great. No homework, only exams on what he says in class. very straightforward on what to study so if you put in the work you'll be fine.

He is a good teacher but personally, he is soooo unorganized, he just writes and writes and expects you to learn everything at once. The whole class grade is based on 4 or 5 exams. no homework or extra credit. And the test review is nothing about the exam, so basically if you study the review you will not pass anyway.

His understanding of anatomy and physiology and the way he explains it to the class is superior. Lots of studying required, as with any biology course. I wish he taught more courses! Also took him for nutrition 10/10!

He could have failed students in my class for cheating, but offered them a 2nd opportunity to do better for themselves. That speaks for itself. no HW or assignments, only exams. He cares and wants to create successful doctors and nurses. I had an injury, and he extended a due date for me. Way more empathetic than what a nursing professor would be.

this has been my favorite class i have taken. my lecture was online and my lab was in person. we have so much fun in lab and do a lot of cool things. he always helps you when you need it and doesn't make you feel dumb when you ask questions unlike some other teachers. he really gets to know you and makes you feel comfortable in the class.

The class is tough but as long as you study and do the review (he gives you the answers), you'll be fine. I took him for AP1 & retaking him for Micro in his hybrid course and i have a B+ so far. I like his teaching style. I would take him again.

prof said is funny & engaging, clearly wanting his students to succeed in the class & in their future careers. answers any questions & grade is based mostly on the exams, especially lecture, whereas lab is more casual and less content heavy. he gives example questions and reviews that are almost identical to the exam so just study & you'll do well

Dr. Said is the best professor I ever had! (took him for A&P1 and Microbiology) He is very engaging, funny, and caring!! He will write extra notes, answer questions outside of class, and explain topics if you ask. His lectures consist of him writing down everything you need to take notes on and his test are basically the notes but in question from.

definitely recommend Dr. Said!!! he's engaging with his students, caring, and he's very lenient with coursework (which there's hardly any besides a few quizzes and exams). there is a lot of note taking but he helps you understand the topics well and prepares you for the exams with reviews that match the exams. i would for sure take him again!

If I had to retake this class it would be with him! You can get a straight A without a problem as long as you study everyday, he gives extra credit from time to time. His lectures are straight to the point. One thing though his exams are writing response but that studying would come in hand! I wish more professors were like him!

I couldn't give Dr. Said enough praise. His class is hard, but he makes sure you are learning the content. He has no other assignments, he only lectures so that you can study for his class. I took him for AP and Micro and did very well in both classes. He writes his own notes so you know exactly what to study and is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Said is an amazing professor! He intentionally creates a teaching environment that both challenges you in in a positive way for future endeavors and your career, while also being extremely understanding and supportive. His lectures are great and easy to comprehend as long as you put effort in on your part. I really enjoyed his class!

Dr. Said has been my favorite teacher to date. He does challenge with his quizzes (written answers, no multiple choice), BUT he wants to make sure each of his students really understands the concepts. He is super funny and makes learning fun. Although this class was a challenge, I would take this class with Dr. Said over and over again!

I loved taking Dr. Said class i even took his microbiology class and i would take them again if i had too. He writes out everything in great detail, and even give use practice questions and review questions for us to use to test are selfs. It is a hard class but as long as you study u can pass with an A.

dr said helped us so much in class and gave extra credit. he was communicative on groupme and was there if needed help during lab or exams. micro itself is hard so study!!! but he was really funny and made it easier - i did lecture online and lab in person for his summer course.

Professor Said is very kind and patient. He welcomes questions and takes the time to explain everything in great detail. From the first day, he made it clear how to succeed in his class. I followed his guidance and earned an A. I was sad that he won't be teaching BIOL 2302 in the fall—otherwise, I would definitely take his class again.

If you want a professor, who genuinely cares about his students, then take Dr.Said! Throughout this whole semester, he went out of his way to make sure that all of us understood the material he was teaching! I was nervous, knowing that his test questions required open ended responses, but so long as you study from his lecture notes, you'll be fine!

So, I took this class at UHCL with two profs (lect/lab) who often taught incorrect material and would get annoyed w/ qs , but NOT when I took AP with Dr. Said! He is extremely patient, helpful, kind, and passionate for the subject. The class itself is difficult but he is very accessible outside of class for help. He teaches micro also. Take him!

I took him for AP1 and Micro. HE IS AMAZING!!! He challenges you, but you will learn and master the concepts. He's explained things to me multiple times just so I would understand the concept. He wants you to learn, but you must also put in the work. I've since transferred to university and I often recall information I learned in his class.

Dr. Said was an AMAZING professor. He made it clear from day one that you HAVE to study, and I did. I earned what I put into the class. He is extremely caring, very funny, and makes learning FUN. I was a drop out of college a year before attending, and he re-ignited my love for learning again. You get exactly what you put into the class + Zero HW.

English is my forth language, so if you are native, then this class should be more easier for you, and this is the best professor you could possibly get, as long as you study, if you don't, then he will be your nightmare, there is No Multiple Questions, My advice is try to make friends, in case, if you didn't show up, class notes are very important
