He talks the whole class period, and once every 3 weeks he gives a reading quiz over about 50 pages in the book. Not a lot of work but the work he gives is hard. Don't listen to anyone that says he's funny. He has a nerdy sense of humor and he is the only one that finds himself funny. He kind of annoys me haha.

This teacher was by far the easiest and funniest of my teachers. I went all year without taking one page of notes and made a "A" There is no need to purchase the book because all his "Quizes" are online and you can simply "Google" the answers....You get about an hour per quiz so take them with a friend if you want. Gives test every 3 weeks EASY!!!!

I never read a page in the textbook, have taken notes in the class when i'm there, and make A's on his test. Although his lectures can be a tad monotonousness, he's a good guy and will work with you personally if asked. I recommend him.

While Professor Stromberg gives great lectures his grading is extremely tough. Things that should not be hard he makes them complicated. Don't take his class unless its the only class you will be taking for the semester. Assignments are spread out evenly but his grading makes turning things in nerve wrecking.

Dr Stromberg's class is very informational. He is very passionate on what he lectures about which makes his class easier to understand. All of the assignments, quizzes, and test are done at home. He is a very funny professor and incorporates his personal life into his lectures.

Lectures are very entertaining with him incorporating his personal life and shows that he cares for his students. Although can get distracted easily if distractions in the class room. Assignments are easy and all tests/quizzes are at home. Make sure to take notes though exams ask questions about content directly from lectures.

Don't get me wrong he was a great professor but dude quite literally needs to take a chill pill. His grading is so hard for no apparent reason. He doesn't trust that his students won't cheat on assignments and makes them do them through google docs and makes the class so hard to navigate through blackboard for no reason.

You have to type assignments in a word processing doc so he can see your typing history. Canvas outline is confusing. Random audits of your work. Doesn't respond. Has TA for students to email instead of him. The textbook should be included with the tuition that we pay for this course bc he doesn't teach, just grades some assignments. Overly Strict.

Uploads all of the assignments for the year at the beginning, but there are so many. He is an extremely hard grader and thinks all of his students are cheating. Didn't finish the class because there was so much work. He is the only U.S. History professor to give this much work at San Jac.

Don't take this guy—he talks a lot about his personal life, which isn't interesting at all. From the start of every class, he would put up a PowerPoint and talk until the end, which is very boring. You can't even use your phone to check the time, and he'll yell at you, putting you in an awkward position in front of all the other students.

I took the 5-week summer semester. I am not too sure if he has a different teaching method whenever it is a full semester but based off of my experience it has not been good. my peers feel the same way. He does not talk about anything that you need to know for the test. The homework does not correlate. If you're not an audible learner don't bother

online class but was told midway through this was an “in person class”. Whenever i would bring issue to him concerning his exam he was very dismissive and rude. I didn't know who my professor was until the day of but if i did know… i DEFINITELY would've switched professors.

This has been the only class I ever have dropped; there was about 14 lectures per unit. Each 1 hour long, to finish in a week and a half. If your taking other classes, I wouldn't suggest this course. most instructions are given thoroughly. I think he believes students cheat, so you have to go through multiple steps just to submit assignments.

I had Dr. Stromberg twice, once in Fall 2023 and once for a honor's class in Spring 2024. From what I can collect from my memory, he was a relatively great professor! He was honest with his opinions yet managed to show the subject at hand with respect and value. If I were going for my Associate's like I was back then, I would have him again! :)

He's a very good professor. I had him for FA25 semester of dual credit and yeah, lectures can be boring, but he tried to make them fun. You'll have at least one assignment per week, two or more critical reading assignments per unit (3 units), and one exam per unit. No final exam in this class.

He wouldn't stop saying out of pocket things and talking about his personal life(his dead father that abused him) and made a lot of situations very awkward. I heard a lot of hype about him and I honestly don't understand where they are coming from. This class really just taught me things that I learned in 8th grade and was virtually pointless.

In the beginning all he did was talk about family situation - he was basically trauma dumping on the class. When he would lecture he would just go off topic. All his lectures were just him reading of a powerpoint. The best part of his class was not being there since attendance isn't mandatory.

This professor was so difficult to have , I took him online anytime and I'm telling you now , if you saw that people were saying he accuses you of cheating (read other reviews) they're 110% correct!!! He made us to 4 part discussion boards and he gave me 0s on all the ones I've done, I did so much effort just for them to get 0s! never again!!!!

The professor was nice, but his lectures are long, sometimes they were off topic. I did not like that we had to use our personal emails and share the links with him to write our discussion boards. His work was not hard, but it was a lot of homework and tests. Beware, all his test use honorlock and he is against AI but uses AI for assignments.

Dr. Stromberg was a great professor! His lectures were very engaging, and actually made me interested in history. There were some quizzes and inquizitives that were annoying, but otherwise the tests were lecture-based and the signature assignment was straight-forward. You have to put a little work into his class, but it's worth it.

This prof does not teach anything and then leaves a lot of information out that is needed for the test. I honestly learned more in 8th grade US history than this class. I learned more about his dreadful personal life than real US history. He literally told us that he had his PREGNANT wife go by a stripper bus. I don't know how I passed. Good luck.
