I am a very diligent notetaker and throughout the course I didnt take one single line of notes. He spends the entire class period talking about himself. I did not learn one single thing exept facts about his life; a complete waste of time.

If you want to learn about Joe Sullivan and his family take the class. Curves everything. Class was on him and how the book relates to him. Very politically minded, make sure you are a democrate and you will do fine in his class. Very boring, if you don't think what he thinks then you are wrong.

this professor is so into himself it is not even funny. all he talks about is himself... and it is a self taught class... nothing he lectures on is relevent to the exams and it gets boring sitting there listening to his life story as though anyone really cares... NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Only take this class if you don't want to be taught. Because he won't teach you a thing!

Sullivan's class is my "study hall". We never do or learn anything in his class so I do other coursework there. He just talks about himself all the time. Dude is an absolute weirdo too. Don't waste your time here, take someone else.

He SUCKS! He doesn't teach anything in his class. All he talks about is his ex-wives, and his adopted 18 year old son. DON'T TAKE HIM!

He picks on everyone in class and makes smart remarks to you, assuming your a certain way. curves on tests, but doesn't teach. makes you mad in class if you want to learn, might as well teach yourself.

Good fun hard work the guy has lots of character, read the book do your work and listen to his stories, in there you will find his personal experience of the subjects if you can be bothered can get an A if you show willing

Dr. Sullivan does not teach in class. Discusses everything but the subject. You must learn on your own and that is twice as much work since you must come to class. I don't care if he is an easy A as others say, you have to do all the work youself and he gets paid by SAC. For balance he seems like a nice guy, just not a teacher.

One of the worst "instructors" I ever had. Sure it was an easy A but the instructor is suppose to give insight into the reading material. This guy gave none. A teacher is suppose to teach from the perspective that everyone IS a major in the discipline he/she is teaching in. If they don't then they are cheating the students.

This man should not be teaching. He never prepares you for the tests or quizzes at all. He never does anything in class but tell random stories. Yet he expects you to know complex and difficult stuff.

This man is very disrespectful towards women and minority. He made it a point to humiliate those who stepped on his toes. this man may have alot of stories but that is all. Watch out he is a ****. He talks alot about his personal life and not alot on the book. I was the oldest one in class and felt that way to. All the other students where great and very nice. But the teacher just gave me a bad feeling.

This is a teach it yourself class. His lectures have NOTHING at all to do with anything on his tests or syllabus. He goes on about his family and past and at the end of class tells you what chapter you'll need to read to actually learn about what you pay for. If you can read, you'll pass. But don't expect to have fun or anything.

Don't make this class harder than it is. I never read and barely reviewed chapter reviews. My test grades were between 40-70 always and I got an A. Why? Because I listened to the man the first day and sat in the very first row, showed up to every class and participated. Aweful teacher, but if you have to take him do as I said above and get an A!

Self-thaught class. He doesn't teach anything, his tests are made by him. The tests are multiple choice but they're not easy, they're critical thinking. 80% of his lectures are not related to the subject. He expects you to read the entire book and know it all. He times you on the tests, he doesn't give you the whole class period for the tests.

Do not take this professor. He tells stories about when he was young and does not go over the test material. He wants you to read and test. Not helpful at all. Find someone else to take this class from!

This class was a waste of my time. Other than quaint anecdotes, why come to class if everything is covered in the book? I passed, but I got a D (for difficult). So, I'll be retaking this one. Other students did better, but I am taking from another professor next time around.

He's an awful teacher!! He is senile and gross. He thinks he is funny but he isnt. He doesn't teach just tells bad stories.

Prof. Sullivan is very sweet but he is very hard to understand. He WILL call you out or make you feel uncomfortable with his comments sometimes. Read the book and you will be okay but beware of self-teaching.

This professor is not good at teaching. I dont recommend anybody to take his class. He goes off topic, very rude and very uncomfortable. All he talks about is his life and is boring. He doesnt teach whats on the quizzes and not very helpful.

All around nice man, but horrible teacher. Yes, he grades on a curve but half the time I felt I was reading my textbook (which i usually enjoy) but I had NO IDEA what would be on the test. Take him if you don't have a lot of other classes to keep you busy because its a LOT of material to cover. Wouldn't take again! Never gave feedback on grades!

I took Joseph Sullivan in the Summer and it was the worst experience I ever had. His Lectures were boring, constant rants about his life and didn't teach anything. I had to cram four chapters that were about forty pages worth of material, tests were every Tuesday and the final was a hundred and twenty questions. This guy literally broke my will.

Only talks about his life. Gives a good curve on test, thats the only good thing. The book is the only thing youre going to learn from. Test are the ONLY assignments you will do. They are always over 4 chapters (100+ pages). Reviewing material doesn't exist. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!

Does a lot of lectures in class. Tends to go off on tangents that are loosely related to the material. In this class you only take tests and everything off the test is from the book.

I have perfect grades in every pyscholgy course & bombed this one because this professor never taught a single thing. BE PREPARED to read every single chapter 30-40 pages long & be able to memorize every personality theorist in detail otherwise you'll fail all tests. No extra credit, no makeup work. Boring, Worst professor Ive ever had.

He lectures without a lesson plan. His lectures will consist of him sitting in front of class and talking about anything that comes to mind. This year it was mostly politics. Prepare the read the textbook cover to cover in order to get an A in this course. This class basically requires self teaching.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He doesn't really teach but maybe twice throughout the whole semester. You're basically self-teaching by reading the the book cover to cover. The only grades you get are your test grades and that's it, no reviews either. He takes attendance at the beginning of every class and makes you wait afterwards if you're late.

Dr. Sullivan is an elderly gentleman who talks very quietly. I sat up at the front so I could hear him. He does not teach AT ALL! There are only tests, which we took in groups. There is a nice grading curve. If you want to learn, do not take this class.

Professor Sullivan is a really old man who went to college in the South (Georgia I believe) in the 1950s or around that time. He just talks about his life, which I refer to as his old man stories. Every time you think he might be saying something important, it turns into an old man story. The tests are book based, so just read the book.

WORST PROFESSOR IVE EVER HAD!! he literally never lectures and if you don't read the textbook you will fail cause without it , his lack of teaching and responsibility will get you no where don't expect him to teach. he talks about nothing important and about his life. highly recommend you don't take this class your gpa will suffer!!!!!

Absolutely hated this class. Complete waste of time. I love psychology and have considered majoring in it but this professor was off topic literally 90%+ of the time. No joke, every day was like that wasted first day of class where nothing important happens and the teacher just kind of tells you about their life. 350 characters isn't enough...

This class was the worst class I have ever taken. I respect the guy and think he is very knowledgeable, however you cant hear or understand a word he says, &he cant understand you. There was not one lesson plan, just him sitting at his desk and telling stories about his life. I didnt learn a single thing and was miserable every class.

Nice guy, but not a good professor. Spends all class time talking about his life and never teaches. Hes an old man I dont know if he has it in him to actually teach I feel he should just retire and let someone younger who is willing to teach to take his spot, all you do is read the book from beginning to end and get tested on 3 chaps at a time.
