Perhaps one of the greatest professors i have ever had. He is young and very mellow out, but the man is brilliant! He speaks clearly and intellectually, while passing on the material crystal clear. The work is not hard, but you have to enjoy the subject to fully appreciate it.

Probably my favorite professor throughout my two years in Kingsborough. He knows EXACTLY how to keep you interested in the topic, even though it is Modern Philosophy. As long as you do what he says, you're good to go! BEST! PROFESSOR! EVER!!!! YOU ROCK, TERRY!!!!!!

This man is far too informed and intelligent to be teaching at Kingsborough. He conveys his lessons well and keeps you interested. The readings arent difficult and he makes slideshows that he emails you. Easiest class I ever took and gained a lot of knowledge from it. Definitely recommend!

Second Best Professor i ever had. I had him for Winter 2014. If your going to take a Philosophy Class Pick HIM!!! His grading is based on 3-4 tests and attendence. He changes his mind to which is good!

It's been two years since I've taken his class and I have yet to find a better professor than him. He is truly enthusiastic about what he does. I'm now in Baruch and professors here do not even start to compare to him. Prof Terry is passionate about philosophy, teaching and actually gives a damn about his students. Take him, you won't regret it.

I've taken his class many times not because I have to but because his lectures are that good and it doesn't hurt to take a course in philosophy. if you ask a question he will think about it and give you a good answer unless he says I don't know. I go for the laughs and knowledge.

he makes it seem like everything about the class is great and if you bribe him with food that helps too but his test are really hard compared to the work he teaches and the final was ridiculously hard ! he makes the class seem so fun hes very comical and understanding BUT hes really playing you and expects more from you then what he bargains for

Professor Terry is the best professor in KBCC. His teaching methods are on point and he really preparers you for the Mid term and Final. He gives an extra credit assignment towards the end of the semester to every student in which you can boost your letter grade for example from a B to a B+ or an A- to an A+. His tests are based on notesslides

3 exams 1 final. 3rd exam decided to cancel and give everybody 100. Seriously. All exams are based on 3 things: ppt slides, important things he might say, and parts of the textbk which he will let you know where to read. Explains everything. Very understanding and helpful completely. Extra credit on every exam, plus an extra credit assignment. A+

Learning with Professor Joseph Terry is fun, in my opinion, he uses language that gets his students thinking out of the box. Throughout my high school career until my current semester, I had never been so keen to listen to a teacher explain in so much detail. In turn, my grammar improved. he is very lively. he just wants you to learn.

I took PHI 7600 this Spring Semester on Ethics Morality and it was honestly the best. I've never met with Professor Terry because my class was asynchronous but, homework is super easy, you get assigned readings and you answer in your own "Opinions" there are no right or wrong answers. Professor also provides the textbook for free.

I enjoyed his class! He assigned a midterm, a final, and weekly discussion board posts. All assignments were online and had generous deadlines. Participation is a must, and he will call on you if you are typically quiet during class. He's very kind and insightful. Take him!
