Nice guy, answers all questions, even gives legal advice! (He's a lawyer) Gives questions & answers to pop quizzes ahead of time! 3 tests, also gives questions & answers to study or memorize. 2 papers that a semi-hard but still doable. He made this my favorite class, and I hate government and politics!

Highly recomend him. Makes class interesting. He is awesome to listen to, has some great stories & experiences about government. He is very clear about his expectation of you, and gives points for participation. Exams and quizes are objective, expect 2-papers. You will learn a lot!!!

He was alright. Used alot of law stuff in class which was cool since I'm a Criminal Justice Major. Lectures were okay but I found myself zoning in and out from time to time. Expect a quiz every other day and tests are easy seeing how he tells you whats on them. Overall I'd give him a C+.

If you study all the quizes and exams you take in his class, you will do fine. He is a really down to earth teacher and i really enjoyed his government class, and i hate government.

Definitely recommend. Very fun, laid back and easy. Knows what he's talking about and a fantastic teacher! No dumb powerpoints.

Awesome Teacher!!! he is a lawyer and a teacher. He applies the information to the real world so it will actually help you after you get out. and it is so easy!!! I went to class took little notes and studied very little. super easy! take him... plus he is just cool.

Great professor! I was never interested in Government and Politics, but attending his class totally changed me. Tests are not hard, but not easy. Come to class prepared, take notes, and you'll do fine! Highly recommended!

TRIPODI IS OUTSTANDING! i'm a nursing major so political science isn't really my thing at ALL, but Tripodi almost got me to change my major! he made me want to take up my responsiblities as a citizen of the USA & actual learn my rights. take him, he's the absolute BEST you can get!

Wow, what can I say. Great Government teacher, uses great examples and his tests are questions from the quizzes. Pay attention in class, you don't even need to take notes. 3 Term papers, but they are easy topics. Absolutely loved the class.

This guy is awesome!!! I hated government! I actualy learned from his class! He gives quizes but there not hard and for my class he only gave us two essays but made it double the length he usualy askes. Not to hard. Def take him!!

Tripodi makes this class interesting and fun to learn! Not only is he interested in teaching you about government, but he's willing to give you life lessons. His success in his own life is motivation for me and I enjoyed his class 100%. Go to class and take good notes and you should do well.

Very good teacher, i hate government but he does a good job at keep your attention. all you have to do is go to class, keep up with the material. study quizes for the exams along with your notes and you will do good. there are a few essays you have to do, but he makes them really easy. u just have to meet all of his requirements for the paper.

I love this professor. The only class I really liked this semester, and looked forward to his classes. He makes everything relevant, and keeps your attention. I hope to take more classes with him.

Lot harder than I expected. He is really good, but this was not a class that was easy. I did learn alot, and got a B.

One of my favorite classes! I still use so much of what i learned from his class. it's so easy to apply what he teaches to everyday life and so helpful! You have to pay attention and do what he tells you and show up to class though, otherwise you'll annoy him. He's got a great personality and is passionate about helping you learn. Take this class!!

I loved his class! He was very helpful, and actually asks his students if they need help. He has children that are in college or about to be, so he knows a lot about what people go through. He is attending school too, so he knows the pressures. I'm taking him again! :)

He was an excellent professor. Really keeps your attention with real life situations. He's a lawyer so you also get legal advice! He goes over everything that are on the tests and quizzes so it makes it easy to make an A, but only if you show up to class and absorb all the information he gives you. I'd definitely take him again if I could! Very entertaining!!!

I'm a junior, just finished his class; "best" teacher I have had here at UCO. Learned a lot, class was fun and interesting.

Good class. Gives quizzes for every chapter, had three exams, and an essay paper. His lectures are interesting, lots of information that is not in the text book. You will have to you show up to class and take notes. I thought this class was harder than I expected, but was one of my favorite classes.

Last entry was crazy. Tripodi's discussions are best part of class. Get Real!

Easiest class ever taken. I took his government class online and it was a breeze. Read the handouts, take the quizzes and do a few discussion questions. Do the study guides and practice midterm. They are the answers to the quizzes and midterm. Definitely recommend this teacher for an easy A with very little to zero effort.

Amazing professor! He is very clear on what the quizes/tests will be over. He doesn't take attendance but if you don't go on a regular basis, you won't do well on the quizes/test because a lot of the questions come from his lectures. His lectures are very interesting! I recommend taking any of his class 100%

I love his class, sad semester is coming to an end, and he is a great guy. For an older guy, he is hot, makes listening to his lectures much easier.

Prof. Tripodi is a fantastic teacher. His discussions for you to participate...very thought provoking. It is imperative that you go to class. His notes are primarily from his lectures. Very rarely uses the text. He will challenge you to be a critical thinker. You will question some of things you were taught before. Stay engaged, you will do well!

Great teacher! Class is never dull, knows American Government, and makes it interesting. Allows class to voice opinions. Quizzes can be hard, but tells you what to study. Nice guy and helpful.

Really like the way he teaches. This is my favorite class. Essay questions on his quizzes are hard, you have to write, but he tells you the essay question before the quiz.

Tripodi is such a fun professor, he has had quite a bit of experience in what he's teaching, so he gives fun inside information to keep you interested. He's extremely engaging with his students, and was one of my favorite professors at UCO.

For those of you who do not have too much of an interest in Government I was right there with you, but professor Tripodi makes Government very interesting! He is such a great teacher. There are quizzes, a midterm, a paper, and a final. Sometimes gives bonus points for attending class.

Professor tripodi is great. I had NO interest in government before his class, and now his class is my favorite. He is a lecture-based teacher, but his lectures are interesting and FUN. 8 short quizzes with essay questions that he tells you in advanced to study for. 1 paper, a midterm and final (questions come from quizzes)

Tripodi is the best government teacher there is. Hands down. He is knowledgeable, encouraging, inspiring - a wholly awesome guy. He isn't just there to tell you about the Gov't, he wants you to understand it and think critically about it. And he will fully prepare you for tests and quizes. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Best teacher I ever had,and this is my 3rd year in UCO. Almost done with semester, learned more then anyother class taken. Knows his stuff, and a real grounded teacher.

He was very understanding and made you want to learn. The class was easy and fun. As long as you study for quizzes its an easy grade.

Dr. Tripodi is great, def recommend. His grading is based on quizzes, two exams, and one or more papers, depending on how many he decides to grade. :) There are several easy opportunities for extra credit. he's knowledgable and interesting, also. If you make 90% on all quizzes, you don't have to take the exams.

This class was work, hard essay questions on quizzes,had to type a paper, lots of information from his lectures, but gave extra credit opportunities. Very good teacher and made classes interesting. He called on students to discuss topics and let us voice our opinions.

Just completed his online class, had to write four essay papers. I did well, but this was not an easy class. He worked with us, and pretty much followed the syllabus. Topics for essays were interesting, gives you plenty of time, but you had to stay on top of assignments. Very good class.

If you can get in his class, take him. I learned more in this class then any other class. What makes his teaching different is he has conversations with you, makes you think. Don't text in class, he'll embarrass you. Wonderful class.

Choose this man for government. He is by the the FAIREST teacher you can get, that is not to say it's an easy class. But if you do EXACTLY what he says, don't miss class, take notes, and study what he tells you and write about what he tells you, you can get an easy A. Get an A on all the quizzes, no final/midterm. He's interesting, funny, and smart

Professor Tripodi is an amazing instructor. His lectures are very informative and the delivery is easy. He is a very FAIR instructor when it comes to grading, and tells you in advance what to expect for the essay question. If you have questions, he welcomes them. I would recommend him for ANYONE that has to take this class. He is a great guy!!

Really easy to listen to and he keeps your attention. He asks a lot of random questions and expects someone to answer and back up their opinion with facts. Keeps class really interesting.

This professor is amazing! Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's hard to miss his class because he makes it interesting! As long as you take notes from his lectures, the quizzes should be a piece of cake. There's a total of 9 quizzes at the end if they average a 90 or better, you are exempt from the final. Take him!

I loved his class. He is funny and if you go to class and study the notes it's almost impossible to not do well. He is very clear about everything and I would recommend him to anybody whether you were interested in government or not.

Professor Tripodi made me not want to miss a class. Though he has strict rules, (such as no cell, no food, etc.) I didn't even think about it because I was so interested in him talking. His class made me love learning about of government. TAKE HIS CLASS!!

Great class. Introduction to law is better than I thought it would be. Three exams and two case briefings. Tripodi adds much more then the text book, easy to listen from. Wished class was later in the day.

I took him for Intro to Law. One of the best professors I've ever had at UCO. He's got a JD, so he knows what he's talking about, and he tells awesome stories during class about his experiences in the law field. The material is interesting and fun, and his lectures are great. The tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class. Loved him!

BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. He will make you love the legal system. He can be tough but if you apply yourself his respect is worth it. Pay attention, be respectful, read the cases and you will love yourself everytime he tells you good job.

GREAT TEACHER!He is a lot of fun especially if the class gets involved. He doesnt take role but if you go to class it makes the test easier. Test are straight foward and easy. MC, matching, and true or false. One of the best teachers Ive had.

Great Class. Took Convicting the Innocent, most useful class taken at UCO. Good mix of legal policy, forensics, and reforms. Three exams, class presentation, and attendance required.

Good on describing assignments accurately.. Helpful when you ask. Not the best at quickly responding to emails.

This guy is a Hard A, being former military he runs a tight class room. Attendance is mandatory, fall asleep in class and you get TEN POINTS deducted from your final grade, and no laptops for notes are allowed in class. Only take if you have to, there are better electives out there *(at time of this review I am only in 2nd week of class)

I took Tripodi 3 semester in a row. Some students didn't like him because he can be difficult, but if you are interested in the content you will do fine. I rarely read the books, just skimmed, but I did pay attention to his lectures and got A's in all his classes. Very inspiring prof, he made me want to learn and try to do my best.

Have him in American Government. Great class, learned more in one month then any other class, and look forward to attending class. He interacts with class, and inspires us about government. Demanding on essay questions, but fair, and gives good reviews.

Oh Tripodi.. Intimidating guy, practicing attorney and former military. Took him for a law class, loves what he teaches and has a obviously profound knowledge of the legal system. Case briefings weren't a cake walk, but a "good job" from him makes you feel accomplished. Awesome freaking lectures, made me want to pursue law. Highly recommend!

Had to take American National Government more than once. Passed his class the first time. I was pregnant that semester and he was very understanding when I was having health issues. Expects you to do your absolute best. Great lectures. Makes it easy to understand. He really knows his stuff. Great guy. Inspirational. Definitely recommend his class.

Great professor. Lots of involvement in class required.

8 tests, no homework. Final is the 8th test and you are exempt if you have an A average on the first 7. Gave an extra credit writing assignment at the end of the semester and gives extra credit for class participation. Assigns reading almost every class, but you don't have to, he tells you exactly what to know for the test the class before.

Tripodi is an awesome teacher! One of my favorites by far! There are just tests and lectures, but his lectures are actually interesting because he gets everyone involved and you have to be involved or you won't pass. Overall, I've never known practically anything about government until I got into his class. I have learned A LOT!

Professor Tripodi's government class is the best class I ever had in school. Learned more in 4-months then all my classes. He related to all of us, made us think, and I looked forward to his class. Seven exams, and you have to take notes.

UCO is blessed to have him as a prof. Definitely one of the best! He cares for his students and is willing to explain anything! Attendance is not mandatory, but his lectures are REALLY good and kinda funny and they help you tremendously on his quizzes, which I think there are 8 quizzes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING HIM!

Makes politics interesting and worth listening to. Actually made me want to be more involved in the government because he explained it so well.

Tripodi was hands down my favorite professor I have ever had. His class was fun and he made every lecture entertaining. He got off topic very easily, but I still learned more in that class than in any other class. I would retake this class just for him to be my professor again.

I took him for introduction to law. Textbook is necessary. Class consists of 4 exams and 2 case briefings. Class is fun. Show up & don't fall asleep. He gives relevant information pertaining to life, but also covers test material. Exams are very easy. He tells you exactly what to study. However, class has no extra credit. Attendance taken randomly.

Took this class on line. I really enjoyed it. He was very helpful and provided good feedback. Very passionate about this subject and that made studying it more enjoyable. Make sure to read the chapters and study for the exams. There were short essays and paper assignments. I enjoyed those.

Absolutely wonderful Professor. Very organized notes. Studying his notes or slides will better prepare you for his tests. He gives very good feedback or more like what he expects you to have in the writing assignments.

I would highly recommend his course. He comes off as tough at first, but if you listen to his lectures you will do just fine. I loved his lectures and he made me like government when i had no interest in even taking the course! Great professor!

Tripodi is the best professor I have ever had. He implements study habits that will better you as a student, he inspires you to be the best student you can be, and he's interesting to listen to. You have to go to class, take notes, do outside reading, and study seriously for tests, but if you do so, there's no reason not to make an A,

Amazing professor. I took this class concurrently in high school (Spring 2016) and was inspired to write about him. He was a great lecturer. Tripodi made the class very interesting and motivated students to learn. His tests were not too bad. Overall I would highly recommend him to a friend.

He is one of the best professors that I have taken for an online class I took American National Government and he is GREAT! He gave out 7 exams from the chapters the textbook and 2 writing assignments! He also drops your lowest test grade if you complete your writing assignments. TAKE HIS CLASS

Loved his Law class. Uses a law school text book, and teaches as if you are in law school. Have to know your assigned cases. He is great on getting the entire class involved and interacting. Very smart and funny man, also very fair. Don't cross him, his fangs come out. I would take very class he teaches, love this guy.

I took his online gov class and it was pretty straight forward! 7 test grades and two writing assignments that he grades fairly. He also dropped the lowest test grade which helped a lot. He was always on top of posting what material we needed to study for upcoming tests.

I have taken three of his classes, and I love the way he teaches. Demanding, but very fair. Get him to know you. No cell phones allowed in class, and don't be late. Best teacher I have taken at UCO.

I just graduated law school and now a licensed attorney. Much of my success in law school is due to Prof. Tripodi's law class at UCO . His class and Socratic method of teaching, gave me a great head start in law school. If you are interested in law school, take his class.

There were 7 tests and they were all exactly covering what he taught and what he told us would be on them. He is always open to answer questions if you need help understanding anything. Dr. Tripodi can be intimidating at the onset but he truly is a fantastic professor. I came out of the course with a wealth of knowledge and more prepared for understanding law than I could have imagined. Professor Tripodi will come off as very strict and hardcore. He is actually really kind and wants to help. His lectures are important and you need to take notes. Tests are pretty straightforward. Always bring textbook and notes to class.

Professor Tripodi was a blessing to have my first semester of college. His class was super straight forward and his tests are straight from the handout and from the obviously relatable portions in the textbook. He likes to make jokes and wants us to understand how the government really works.

He is one of the best professors I've had and i didn't feel like missing a single one of his classes, a real gem. You do need to study for the tests and do well on the essays but he gives a very clear instructions that are easy to follow i didn't really find his tests hard.

This guy is great. Take him! He will try to seem tough on the first day, but it's fake. He tells great stories and genuinely cares about what he is teaching. He really cares about the students too. My exam average was above a 90 so I didn't have to take the final or even show up after dead week!

If you're thinking about law school/want to see a peek at a law school class take this!!! Seems hard & intimidating at the beginning but as it goes on you can see he genuinely cares for his students & wants you to succeed. He's funny, interesting, you NEED to read cases before class, he's straightforward & fair. the BEST prof. I've ever had

He seemed like he would be tough on the first day! It is all a facade! He cares about his students, gives out most of the materials you will need for the class and is overall a great professor to know. My only complaint is that I bought the textbook and only used it ONCE, so I wouldn't recommend buying it. Borrow it from a friend if you can.

He just told our class he's retiring after Spring 2021. Had him for two classes, and best professor I have taken here.

Prof. Tripodi is literally one of the best professors at UCO- sad to see him retiring next year. If you can take him for ANG, or Intro to Law- take him! He will push you, and he is super caring!

This is my second time taking a class from Tripodi and I love him. Hes caring but still funny. Hes passionate and knows a lot about law. I always look forward to his classes and credit him for helping me find my passion. He doesnt overload on homework and his tests are never too difficult if you study.

Very much like his interactive way of teaching. Law class is not as hard as I thought, but must read the cases. I suspect he is easier on us because this is his last semester teaching. One of my favorite professors.

I took his online class and I still have never seen him. He puts out exactly what information you have to read from the textbook and the occasional handout, study that before the tests and you're golden. Tests are also open book so easy A.

Professor Tripodi makes everything clear of what we need to study and what will be on the exam. As long as the work ethic is there in studying the chapters, you should do well on the easy exams. In my case, the overall grade was based just off of exams, so never miss one.

I took his law class. Prof Tripodi is the best and nicest teacher I have had at UCO. I learned much more than I expected, and class was always inspirational. Sad that he's retiring.

Overall, I really enjoyed his class because it was quite laid back. All that was required each week was to read articles and take a test every other week. There are no other assignments which makes the class seem like it may be difficult, but if you read the textbook pages and the articles, you will definitely do well.
