I take his class on Tuesdays from 5:30-8:10 and love it. We have one two-point quiz per class on one of the cass studies from the readings (He posts the readings on moodle so you don't have to purchase the book) & he gives a 10 minute break during class, but if you need to leave at any point other than that you can. 10/10

Dr. Tuminello is a treasure and I will fight you if you think otherwise. His class is super organized. There's a reading assigned for each class and the students who think his class is boring are the ones who didn't bother to read them. The topics are interesting and he clearly loves teaching them. Tuminello is one the best professors I have had. If you need help, he will gladly help you. He does tell you in the beginning how many "pop quizzes" you will have, but it's an estimate of every other class. He also does give extra credit, and the test are not hard at all just study especially since they're on quizlet. Overall would take him again.

Joey is a great professor and really expanded my appreciation for philosophy! He is light-hearted. Lectures can be boring at times, but he has very few requirements. Participate in class (it's interesting so you will want to), he has pop-reading quizzes so read the cases, and you'll be fine. 10 2pt quizzes, one midterm, one paper at the end.

Dr. Tuminello was a great professor. I took his class when Hurricane Laura hit Lake Charles, LA, and he was super easy and considerate to our individual circumstances. Over half of the class was cut out which made me nervous because majority of my grade depended on my final essay. It was not as bad as I thought due to Dr. Tuminello being very easy.

Very understanding and an easy grader

Professor Tuminellos class was the best in my freshman fall semester and he was by far the best at communicating and answering emails. Normally class would have weekly assignments, but due to hurricane we only had three essays. As long as you read material given, essay topics are easy to understand and there is plenty of information given to pass

Took this class during the COVID semester online and it was not hard, but required much reading and comprehension. Tuminello didnt have much assignments but had 2-3 papers that accounted for much of the grade.

His class is not hard to pass, but you HAVE to participate. Some of the readings are pretty heavy but he includes multiple videos to help make them easier. He answered every time I emailed.

Great. Way better than Butkus. No proctored exams. One final paper at the end. Small quizzes and discussion posts throughout the semester.

In Phil 314 Professor Tuminello includes interesting assignments. You will have to write a 300 word report/essay on assigned weekly readings. Though, the material is very interesting/thought provoking. Easy grader.

Prof.Tuminello is charming and quirky. I enrolled last year but dropped the course due to a heavy credit load. Retaking it now helps me better understand his teachings. He cares for his students, focusing on the book and essay prep each semester. Pop quizzes can be tough if you're not attentive. There are bonus opportunities, so keep that in mind!

Dr. Tuminello is an incredible professor. The course load could be cumbersome at times, but not too bad. If you put in the work, you will get from this course much more than course credit. His power point slides are very clear and concise. He will give you multiple extra credits opportunity to raise your grade and he grades the assignment fairly as long as you follow his guidelines.

This was my second time taking one of Tuminello's classes, and I was not disappointed. Reading selections were fairly interesting. Quizzes were easy.
