He is a wonderful professor he cares about the students and puts a lot of effort into the lectures. Powerpoints are available on-line so if you miss a class you can catch up. Tests are on the topics and he takes one class before the exam for the review,which is wonderful. short daily assignments are required but this is all to help you get an A! :)

My friend and i both took this professor in the Spring semester. He is amazing teacher and is very fair. He makes learning enjoyable. There are two tests and a final but they cover everything we learned in class and read in our book. Just be sure to take good notes and you will do fine.

Great Prof, took Dev Psych this summer,makes learning fun, explains everything clearly, calmly, and relates it to everyday life. You will love his class. I highly recommend him!! I definately would take another of his classses.

I LOVE this Professor!very interesting, uses power point, his tests are multiple choice and he gives an easy extra credit worth 10 points which he lets you know what it is in advance, gives reviews before tests. If you study it will be easy and you will get an A. To boost up grades, gives easy hw ("AOs"). Overall awesome teacher deffinatly recommen

Well he is a good teacher. He may also seem really cool with you until you get ur final grade back. I was shocked with my final grade because I did well on all my tests but he grades harsh. He teachers well, and he is a good guy, but dont expect the grade you want if you have a small mis-step on a test. His final grade left me disapointed in him

Never pulled any tricks. Went faithfully by his syllabus,so you were able to do the reading in advance. Encouraged free discussion. Valued each student's input.

If you want to demystify psychology, take Professor Verdino. He makes the material so clear and understandable. Psychology is a scary subject, but he makes it so much less so. Very affable, kind and sincerely wants his students to do well. I highly recommend him, especially for first time psych students. Couldn't get a better intro.

Great teacher. Straight forward, no tricks. Nice guy & funny too. Fair exams, easy take home quizzes, review sheets, tells u exactly what will be on tests- incl extra credit. Easy A+ if u do the work. Only prob is that he tells u that things r going to be on blackboard and it doesn't happen for days- except for grades- they r posted quickly.

He's probably one of the easiest professors i've ever taken. He makes class very enjoyable and explains everything in a way you can understand. he gives 3 tests and take home quizzes which are fairly simple if you go to class and take notes. Overall i love him and his class, i recommend him if you want to actually learn something.

His lectures were understandable & if you ever have a problem with understanding he will break it down for you. He doesn't give much homework he expects us to do the readings and talk about it in class.

TAKE this class u wont regret it he gives the best notes. if you fail this class u either never went or ur just plain lazy and crazy. his homework took 10 mins his test were multiple choice only and his notes were so good u didn't even have to study because he engraves it into ur brain.

Verdino is one of my favorites at KCC! His notes are super thorough and straight forward. You shouldn't need the textbook. Exams are fair and there are weekly assignments based on lecture notes. He's the reason I decided to be a Psych major! His personality is great and he knows what he's talking about. Take him!!

ok i have verdino for intro to psych and hes honestly an amazing professor. He gives you notes that are pretty much everything you need to get over a 90 on the tests. he really likes participation! his class is really interesting and his class is my favorite college class so far. you will learn a lot! barely homework also

Amazing professor. His lectures are great, the notes that he gives cover pretty much everything, but you will need the textbook for certain chapters. He barely gave any homework. He wants his students to participate in his lectures so don't sit quietly in the back for the entire semester. Totally gonna take his PSY36 class.

Great professor, amazing guy. He doesn't post slides on bb, but instead makes you copy the slide down by hand. Tedious, but it helps you remember the information. Gives extra credit for each exam. Some chapters are left out of power points, but I recommend just reading them in the library and saving your money. Take him! You won't regret it.

This professor is great. One of the best professors I've had, if not the best. Very clear with lectures and notes via the smart board. You get a chance to get 10 points of extra credit per test, including the final. Highly recommend this professor.

It is rare that i rate my professors, unless I highly recommend them or like them. He is one of the greatest professors i have ever had. He is kind, funny, interesting, and his class is thorough and easy! I aced his class, and i am taking his next level psych class in the spring. Professor Verdino even made me want to change my major to psych!

He's one of the most down to earth professors at kbcc. Incredibly smart and very clear in his powerpoints. Doesn't put slides on blackboard but gives plenty of time to write it down. make sure to take notes because his test are based on it. i recommend him over any other psych professor.

All I can say is that Professor Verdino is by far one of the best psychology professor KBCC has. His lectures are amazing! Very clear in explaining topic, always there to explain what you don't understand, very funny and passionate about his teaching. Tests are multiple choice with an extra credit question. I highly recommend him.

Joesph Verdino is one my favorite Psychology Professor in KBCC. He's very friendly with students, and always their to help them out with anything. I took him in the winter for PSY1100 and now for PSY3200. If you do your work, and follow his instruction for the test. You'll get what you wanted. His power points are clear and understandable.

He is way too easy. I would very complain though, I needed the A nice guy.

Great Professor! He lectures from PPT slides and always add personal stories to the subject matter which makes the class interesting. We learned a lot about abnormal behaviors' and stereotyping that accompanies certain disorders. He gives 2 Tests and a Final. There are extra credit works and two assignments which are easy. Never felt bored.

Mr. Verdino will answer all of your questions. Will give some pop quizzes. His tests are easy if you take down his notes which is super easy. No projects or homework. Do not skip because you will miss out on a lot of his notes. You can't take a picture of his notes so you have to be there. Listen to what he says and you'll get an easy A.

Professor V's class is the best PSY I've ever taken at KBCC. What he teaches is exactly what is on the test. He makes sure that you have all the information you need in order to pass the exam and class. Extra credit comes from the exams so pay attention to that. Honestly if you fail it really is on you.

He is the best phycology perffesor out there. He gives three test all multiple choice with extra credit that is worth an extra ten points. Each test was 20% of your grade. He also gave four short writing assignments in class and you got to say your own opinion worth 20% of your grade. Class participation was also worth 20%. Take him !!!

Professor Verdino is Great! Class participation is important in his class, he gives extra credit. No homework and easy exams. As long as you show up to class and listen you will pass. No cell phone or headphone use in class during lectures. Be prepared to write a lot because you will not be allowed to take pictures of notes. Otherwise amazing!!!

The professor is very good, intelligent, knowing his subject. His class was very interesting and rich, but the tests themselves were very difficult for me personally. Evaluates student work fairly, but never overstates. Does not give extra loans. It is very attentive to students and always answers questions on time.

Professor Verdino, is pretty much easy. He gives you an outline of everything to pass his class. As long as you participate and study what is given on the study guide you cant fail.

Prof Verdino had an amazing online format. Since no one asked for school to be online, prof verdino did an excellent job at making it accessible and easily understood for everyone. I really enjoyed how it was asynchronous. Because of this, I was able to balance school and work.

He is just a great professor, the class was absolutely stress-free, all exams are fully based on lectures, easy assignments, detailed syllabus, interesting material and NO discussion boards, which was a huge plus for me. I loved every second of the class and would take him again and again.

This was a very entertaining class and I love his teaching methods! From the beginning, he was clear about the assignments we'd have throughout the semester and the grading criteria. You do have to take notes because he doesn't post the PowerPoint (unless called for). The tests are pretty straightforward and he gives study guides.

I don't think I have ever taken such an easy class before! The professor is literally amazing and his assignments were very fun to do, as I relate a lot to the homework assignments. He might seem a little intimidating at first bc of the syllabus -- doesn't post Powerpoints online so you HAVE to take notes, doesn't accept late work -- but it's really not that bad. He's a really good lecturer and he's much friendlier than I was expecting lol. One big project, a few small assignments, and the tests. Very manageable workload.

His online lecture is very organized and he uploads every once a week but the assignments are easy. He also gives more hours on tests for only 20 questions. His grading system is very understandable to read. Yes, he does grade fast and he also answers emails quickly. One of the best online professors.

I had Prof Verdino for PSY3600. I struggled a lot this semester with mental health, and he made taking this course so much easier. He was easy to communicate with in & he only gives 3 case study assignments, a PowerPoint & 3 tests. All of them are pretty much a reflection of the weekly slides. There is weekly folders, on the pages you should read about different mental disorders. there are also slides that have the info from the readings if you arent able to read that week. there are also 3 case studies youll have to do. you also have todo a powerpoint based on a mental disorder. Overall great class and professor.
