He is very interested in the topic, but all he does is read off of the slides. You do need to break the book out when studying for a test to get a great grade. If he took his own test, I bet he would miss a few and then argue with himself about a few of them.Decent Teacher

Really boring class. You read slides over and over and over again until you drill all information into your head. His tests have a gazillion mistakes and he asks you the most random questions on tests. At the end of the day you don't have a choice anyways, so you have take it. Nice guy though, just not as great a professor.

The most horrible teacher I've ever had. His tests are so full of mistakes that he throws out about 1/4 of the test. Not a really difficult class, but very frustrating because when you answer a question, you aren't sure whether you did it right "his way." He says there's multiple ways to come up with an answer, but the answers are all different.

Great guy. He is very nice if you get to know him and is an enthusiastic teacher. He will go out of his way to help you if you ask for it. Unfortunately I did not get much out of this class. The professor comes across as a nice guy. However, when you take into account the rest of the class, its almost hypocritical. His custom, expensive textbook was NOT used at all. He throws out a lot of test questions because he doesn't check his work. Not much effort goes into the class documents.

I'll preface this by saying that I very rarely paid attention in class due to the fact that I would fall asleep almost immediately so I was on my laptop almost every class. Quizzes are fairly rough at the end of class. Tests are so-so, a lot of examples from in class shows up so it's difficult to study. TEXTBOOK IS NEVER USED, DON'T BUY IT!

Walden is entertaining and cares about the subject and students. He draws heavily on his military service in lectures. Pro tip: dont pay attention to his slides as much as what he actually says for your notes. What he actually talks about is on the exams more than the slides. Turn HW in on time, be present for quizzes, dont bomb any exams. Easy A

Joe Walden might have the best class structure at the University. He like most business professors has quizzes on random days, but as long as you email your TA anytime before class that you won't be there, you can make up any amount of days worth of work on your own time. He also posts the slides online which is great as well.

Prof Walden loves supply chain. Easy material, good mix of homework and 4 tests (non-cumulative) but the tests were so hard for no reason. The test material is made up of minute details that were spoken in class, rarely on a powerpoint. Take very good notes, especially if he verbally emphasizes any words and pay attention to guest speakers too.

You do not have to take notes if you do not want to, but there are exam questions based on the lecture content. Each week has either a lecture and assignment, or a review and take-home exam. Expect 7-9 hours, even if it looks easy. Any question can be answered almost verbatim from the textbook, but the trick is 'almost': they are worded confusingly, to ensure that you listened and can incorporate lecture-only info. Otherwise hilarious and down-to-earth!
