Great teacher. You will need to pay attention in the class. Ask questions a lot and ignore his comments, its just to keep you interested. One of the best teachers I have had in years.

Mr. Ward is an eccentric man and a great educator. He makes a difficult, boring subject interesting and dynamic. Broward Community College is lucky to have such a great instructor. I would recommend him to anyone.

What a cocky smartass! One of the most brilliant, smart & intelligent persons I have ever met. Willing to help, but don't take his comments personally, that's just him. Make sure he knows your name and "pick on him"; he likes it. It's been a privilege to be at his class.

Funny, interesting teacher. His tangents are a nice break from a very tedious and monotonous subject. Explains all the charts/graphs/economics basics very well. Tests about 1/2 from notes and 1/2 from the book. Make sure he knows your name- it will get you an A.

If I had more teachers like Mr.Ward in High School I probably would not have dropped out. His information is extremely valuable in everyday life and will help you better understand the economy and everything about it. He is the MAN!

He is a wonderful teacher and once he gets into the material he's great, but every once in a while he'll just go on about stuff that has nothing to do with the class for a long time and it may get confusing on what to take notes on.

Fairly good professor. Class degenerated into a discussion on current events, which was an excellent way to bring the textbook into the lives of the students. Worth taking, gives little homework.

this guy is a trip!! he goes very fast in class, so you have to ask him to slow down. you have to remember a lot of graphs. take a lot of notes, and pay attention!! if you take all 3 of his test and not miss one, he will let you exempt the final. which you want to do. i got a B in his class, and i was surprised i got that. he's a great professor.

This teacher is the bomb! He is so funny and makes learning fun. He knows his stuff, but will drift away sometimes into other subjects. But some way, somehow the other subjects link to economics. He's very easy and has a nice personality. Loves to joke! You will have a good time in his class. I highly recommend him to anyone.

He is a good teacher. Take good notes and you won't need the book. He can be forgetfull at times, classes are uselly short and he isn't there alot.

yeah, great guy. He takes the economics and relates it to the world both present and past. This really helps to get a grasp for the material, which can seem very dry when reading it from the text book. As everyone else said...TAKE GOOD NOTES. write down everything he says, even if you think its something that would likely not be on a test.

If you want an easy A, take him. No preasure moves exams all the time. Every exam that we had he gace a curve from 6% to 10% so it helps alot. He is funny and cool. Does not answer quesion too good. Overall hi is ok teacher. And definetly the easyes one!

He is a very knowledgeable professor w/ a gift for story telling. The pertinent information is provided several times prior to testing. The tests are curved. If you take good notes and listen, you should be able to obtain an A. He drops the lowest test score & his extra credit test can move your final grade up five points! Great sense of humor

He's cool and funny, but we did not learn anything in his calss. We only covered 3 chapters. He has a grading curve and does explain things well. Take good notes sometimes he lets you use them on the tests. Cool guy overall.

Good at applying concepts to real life situations. Very easy multi-choice tests (30-50 questions) and writing credit is easy. Curves range from 5-15% free bonus. Good teacher worth taking.

He makes you pay attention to the economy even you do not want to and is very understanding if he sees an overall effort in you.

He is the best! He explain things clear and always give curves on tests! If you want to learn about economy well, maybe he is not your choice. But if you want easy A, he is the one for you!

Very good Proffessor he explains the concepts very thoughly. He is worth taking . I took him for both ECO2013 and ECO 2023 he was very good at presenting the material to you in a practical manner I would highly reccommened this proffessor .

I WOULD RECOMMEND PROF. WARD, HIS CLASS IS NOT REAL HARD, NO HOMEWORK. TESTS ARE MULTIPLE CHOICE, AND HE DROPS THE LOWEST GRADE. IF YOU STUDY FROM THE TEXTBOOK, THE TESTS ARE EASIER SINCE THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS BASED ON HIS LECTURES. WRITING CREDIT IS A VERY SIMPLE ASSIGNMENT. AND IS NOT STRICT ABOUT ATTENDANCE, TARDINESS ETC...

Great guy. As easy as it gets! no homework, curves on tests, gives tests straight from the test bank which he will go over prior to the exam. Really makes you understand the martial, discuses business issues in class, and is making it fun and interesting! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Easy! Easy! Easy! I took this class over the summer just to get some credits out of the way...I barely studied and I got a 100% in the class, he goes over about 1/3 of the exam the day before the test and reads off the questions word-for-word! If you want a good grade, take Ward!

Great & easy teacher, makes the subject interesting. Pass all the regular tests so you don't have to take the final... trust me on this one - don't take the final, it's an essay. Also, I would only take him for a full semester class, not a half semester. I took him for a half semester course and the material felt really rushed.

This professor is great. He tries to make the class easy for you. However you need to look up articles on the subject and ask alot of questions in the class then you will not be tested alot. He like to see if you show alittle interest in the subject. He tries to come off like a bully but he's just having fun with the class.

This was an insanely boring class (for me anyway). I only have to take it for pharmacy school, so I had absolutely no interest in it to begin with. Professor Ward makes the class somewhat interesting, but the guy is an absolute nutcase. Talks about the most weird and random things. Pretty easy class though.

This was the easies class he gives hint to help you just listen to him, visit his office, and KEEP asking QUESTIONS, that will get him to talk the whole class period. I took him during the summer. He is easy, with crazy stories.

I took this professor for Macro (ECO2013)and had fun with it so I took him again for the Micro (ECO2023) class with even better results. Is very erratic in nature some days, but makes it interesting and sometimes humorous. I recommend this professor strongly - you'll have fun....

THIS GUY IS THE MAN!!!!! I took him about 2 years ago, and he pretty much predicted the train wreck that our economy has become. He's the Nostradomus of eco proffesors. He does tend to drift from lecture material to some other topic to anecdotes, but he's hilarious. You'd be mistaken if you pass on taking him...

Prof. Ward is awesome! He is very clear in explaining things, and his drawings are very helpful. If you are a visual learner take this class. He is extremely smart and super nice. I didn?t buy the book or pay attention to the PowerPoint slides and got an A. He makes everything seem like common sense.

Professor Joseph Ward is quit a funny professor that makes economic interesting. He talks about mostly the economic situation as of now and what we could possibly see in the economy as time progresses. His quizzes are average as long as you read the assignmed pages and study the definations. He also drops your lowest grade which helps you out.

Amazing, he makes you want to go listen to NPR all day. The subject gets a little complex, however he makes the class exciting, interesting, and funny. You relate this topic to your everyday life and for all Business Majors he is the one to take

Anyone who says microeconomics is hard hasn't met Mr. Ward. This class is an easy A. He isn't like other teachers who teach for the tests. He literally hands you the answers on a silver platter. You can tell his main goal is for you to actually understand economics. He's also really quite funny. Highly recommended.

Really nice, interesting and sometimes funny professor. He will basically give you the answers before the test, sometimes during the test! No homeworks (at all!). Attendance is not mandatory (he even tells us that we can leave whenever we want and take a smoke break at anytime) but he tends to give extra credits if you show up. Easy A

Mr. Ward is a great teacher. Listen, economics is a tough material bottom line. He does everything he can to make it easy. It's obvious that people that got a C and lower didn't attend class. It's not mandatory, but i suggest it. And when it comes to exams, HE READS OUT EVERY ? ON IT VERBATIM THE CLASS BEFORE!!!!!

Took a evening class with him and we never stayed the full time so that was awesome.. He doesn't really care about attendance but if you miss class it may effect you because his teaching is all oral, the book may be confusing

Mr. Joseph Ward passed away in August of 2012. He was a superlative teacher and truly amazing person. A huge loss to not only Broward College, but to all the education industry. He was a wonderful friend, exceptionally smart man, and dynamic individual. He is missed dearly.

Professor Ward class is very straight forward. There are three 800-1000 word essays throughout the class but other than that it was quite easy.
