The best possible guy who can teach you any math. His class average is 20 points above other classes. Students gather around his pre-exam class like crazy. Take him and thou shall learn! Free your mind.

Jesus cares about his students! He's always there to give you life advice, or help you with HW. He's a stickler though, and won't bend any rules for you. Still one of the best profs I've had. He seems a little depressed lately though.

Very laid back. Good professor. Gets side tracked with humorous stories. Can sometimes be unclear, but if you've seen the material before you're fine. Good guy, will help you out if you need it.

Very nice teacher. He is very by the book, it can get on your nerves sometimes. He just does a lot of examples on the board. If you miss class you're screwed cause the book is horrible. But he's always there for extra help.

From comments abd people I thought he was going to be very good but was kinda a lil dissappointed. He could teach but didn't go over enough problems and talked too much about dept policy and wasted time by solving integrals that we could solve on our own. You can call him up though if you need help.

People say this Professor is the best at NJIT. Fine,he's a good teacher but not the best....I took Professor Hunter before him and he is wayyyyyy better in teaching. Zaleski can get very sensitive and be mean to students. Take notes in this class and listen carefully.

Good teacher, but far from the best like many say. Pretty helpful and willing to go the extra distance to help you, BUT do NOT take him for a night class. Never enough time for anything. Makes you stay after commons till 9 for new lectures. Take him during the day if you must.

Great teacher, honestly seems to care about his students. I wasn't doing the HWs and he came up to me OUTSIDE of class and gave me some advice. Oh yeah, and he looks like Jesus if he was a lumberjack. ;)

This dude is the man!!! He makes really good jokes (even if he's not trying to); he makes Calculus 2 very easy to understand and do, as well as making Math itself a fun subject. He gives several shortcuts to problems and dumbs everything down to make is digestable; best Calculus 2 professor ever so definitely TAKE HIM; and he does look like Jesus

Very strict, not about lates but attendance and missing homework quizzes or anything else will get you a zero. Nothing late accepted at all. follows school rules and policies very closely.

Very nice guy and teaches well. Very willing to help during office hours and explains material clearly. He's stickler though about everything: grades, attendance, homework, exams (will not begin common until exact time and ends at exact time)..not an autonomous person but does prepare you for the exam, although the hwks are the best practice/guide.

Prof. Z is a pretty awesome teacher! He's willing to help you w/ any kind of math-related questions you could ever have. Makes small mistakes when doing board probs-he makes up for it by keeping class interesting. Warning: ppl that aren't doing well WILL get picked on :-p. so after reading all these good comments, i said wow he sounds good, i based my whole schedule around his class, and come to find out that HE CANT TEACH...he's really cool n laidback, but there has not been a class where his monotone voice does not put me to sleep...i try to stay up, but with him its IMPOSSIBLE...i dont feel prepared for tests =(

He is one of the best math professors at njit. He explains everything and anything you have trouble with. Study the material , do the homework, and listen in class. Make sure you go to every class because you will fall behind. I got a 67,67,91, and a 92 overall in the three exams and the hw/quiz grade. I pulled off an A in the class. Take Him!!!

Not a bad teacher, covers the material at an easy pace. Will answer any questions or even go back and explain something if no one understands it. Exams are a little harder but if you study for his class it won't be much of a problem.

Good teacher, I was just lazy in his class. He will help you out when you need it and answer questions accordingly. But you gotta ask for it. Other than that, normal guy in most circumstances. Can be dull at times, but honestly its more because of the subject matter rather than his teaching style.

Teaches at a rather fast pace and you have to pay attention to fully understand what he is saying. Especially with my class, you have to attend class if you want to get a good grade. He is willing to help you, but you have to give him a problem from the book, he won't think of his own problem. Overall, a nice guy who loves what he does.

Zaleski, Zaleski, Zaleski... What can I say about him? Well, he wears the same clothing everyday. He's a laid back kinda guy, lets some things slide. He has a Jesus beard. He's an overall nice guy and teaches well. Easy to understand. But he's doesn't do review sessions like other teachers because he thinks he might get fired or something.

If you took calc 1 before, take him OTHERWISE you will be completely lost. His teaching style is by doing examples and not teaching the actual theory behind it. I struggled and found him to be no help.

Seriously he is the best math professor at NJIT. I'm taking Calc 2 for the second time because I had a horrible professor and damn I wish I had Zaleski last semester! He will sacrifice anything for his students to learn the material. He's also very approachable. Overall such a great guy. Most definitely take him if you can!!!!

Great professor. I've taken him for Calculus II (one of the hardest math course at NJIT). He focuses more on practice problems than theories and concepts. He does a lot practice problems and it helps understanding the topics. He also does practice exams before commons and it's helpful. Weekly quizzes. ALSO calls out students for participation.

Zaleski is definitely one of the smartest math professors at NJIT. He is always there to help and he wants you to pass. He does a lot of practice and examples to teach the concepts. Otherwise, there's little theory. He gives weekly quizzes and he's a fair grader. Homework is important to pass. Very approachable and overall great guy.

Possibly the best Math professor at NJIT. He's the nicest guy and he really wants his classes to pass by offering extra credit and the like. Plus, if you demonstrate that you're trying but your grades aren't quite there, he will fight to get you a higher final grade.

Zaleski was a great professor the grade that o managed to get was 100% on me I made mistakes on exams and didn't do all the hw but still managed a solid B. Contrary to popular belief, personally I did not find this guy to be an effective professor. I had a hard time paying attention to him because he would be jumpy and try to answer EVERY single question students would ask him, even the dumb questions. If you are looking for a short, simple, precise professor, look elsewhere.

This man right here is a legend!I took him for calc 1 and 2 and he 100% gives you his full dedication to make you understand the subject completely. Professor Zaleski is the best Math professor I've had at NJIT. He gives quizzes every class, which are scary at first, but allows you to learn and prepare for exams well ahead of time. He is also a very humble and respectful individual, who really cares to see his students succeed both in his course and in life. Work hard, and you will be rewarded.

On the contrary of the other comments, I don't like this professor at all. I took this class with him because I thought that I will learn a lot but his lectures are really boring and for every single class he gives quizzes. He is not helpful with the materials for the exams! Don't take him for this class

He takes attendance so be there. Daily quizzes are usually one question but theyre based off the material so be prepared. He is a very nice guy and likes to know his students. He cares about his students. Lectures have a lot of theory and could use some more examples but they are easy to follow because they match the book. Very smart man.

Really amazing teacher and overall very cool and genuine person. Great at explaining tough and foreign concepts. If you have any questions he is very approachable and easy to speak with. Makes a difficult/boring class enjoyable. To succeed, consistently keep up on the course material and homework (don't Wolfram Alpha it) and you should get an A.

Zaleski is such a respected and caring professor. He genuinely cares that his students succeed. If you do the assigned homework and past exams, you should do well on all the exams (I mean /seriously/ do them). His pop quizzes are homework questions from what you learned in the previous class. Just do what's assigned and you're guaranteed an A/B.

One of the best professors at NJIT. Not only does he give great lectures, but he really tries to help everybody pass. He is hilarious and makes every class enjoyable. He does give a mini-quiz almost every lecture, but these are very helpful so there isn't any need to worry about it. If you do your work, you'll pass. He reviews a lot for every exam.

Professor Zaleski is one of the best teachers in the math department of Njit. I actually was going to take calc 2 in a community college over the summer but couldn't and was really scared about having to take it in Njit. However, this class was not that bad but It does require a lot of commitment and dedication to pass this class.

Amazing man and great professor, had him for calc 2 and he made it easier. You still have to put in work, but he does actually teach his material. Pay attention in class and it makes this course much easier and understandable. Im currently trying to get him again for calc 3

Zaleski was my first Math professor at NJIT and I am so glad I had him. I heard all the hours stories about MATH112 at NJIT, but it's honestly not that bad. Get a professor like Zaleski, review after every class, do the assigned homework, and ask questions at recitation. I came back from a 5 year hiatus and passed with a C+, thanks to Zaleski!

He is a good professor who you can tell gets very excited about his job at times. He gives quizzes every class, but only to make sure you know the material and are keeping up with it. If you are prepared for the quizzes, you will do great in the class. He is always willing to help and explain questions you may have. Overall nice guy.

By far the best math course professor at NJIT. If you want to pass the infamous NJIT Calc 2 course, Math 112, then this is the guy to take it with. Take close notes, go to office hours, and ask questions during his lectures and you are guaranteed to pass first time with Professor Zaleski.

Professor Zaleski is by far the best math professor at NJIT I have had. I had him for calc2 and he made calc 2 so understandable. He does try to give two quizzes a week, but they are easy quizzes and as long as you do your homework and pay attention in class, you will pass all the quizzes. He explains topics really well and gives many examples.

Took him spring 2020. He goes a little fast in the lectures but if you have questions he helps you out. Learning experience was better in person than online. I could've gotten a better grade if I didn't slack off because of the online thing. Class is difficult because of the material, not the prof. Overall a good professor.

Honestly top 2 professor that I've had in my two years here. Math112 is damn near impossible at NJIT, but Zaleski is amazing at teaching it. Does tons of examples and slows down when needed. Laid back hippy guy who genuinely cares about his students and is accessible 24/7. Literally posts his phone number so you can call him whenever you need help.

Professor Zaleski made Calc 2, a notoriously hard class, my favorite one this semester. He genuinely wants us to succeed but is also honest and realistic. He teaches well with many examples and is always available for extra help. He is easily my favorite professor and he made math enjoyable for me. I would love to take him again if possible.

Zaleski is such an amazing professor! He really cares about his students and tries to make sure everybody is following along. Taking the notorious Calc II my first semester at NJIT was a bit intimidating but he made it one of my easiest classes of the semester! Just try your best and come to class, he'll try to do the rest.

Zaleski is the best professor. I never thought Id be doing better in calc 2 than I did in calc 1. I highly recommend you take him. Im retaking him soon for calc 3A. he is so funny and he provides us with his phone number so we can easily communicate with him about anything. he is lenient with extensions and he truly cares about his students.

BEST PROFESSOR. I took him for Calc II and Calc III. Before I took his Calc II class I failed 3 times but with him I passed with an A. It is not an easy course which you def need to study for but he is really good at explaining. Weekly quizzes so that you don't fall behind.

Probably the best prof I've had at NJIT so far. He manages to teach the hardest topics in an easy way and really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. His class made me start liking math. You can call him at literally any time and he would be available to help. I don't think anyone could possibly have anything bad to say about him.

Zaleski is an excellent professor and he is highly regarded by the mathematics department. He is consistently available outside of class time and explains concepts very thoroughly in class. However, he does tend to answer every question students have which can lead to being behind on content.

Zaleski focuses on teaching the students how to answer the questions that appear on the test. Zaleski gives a quiz in almost every single class; however, you can just ask him after every class if there is going to be one next class. His lectures mainly consist of going over practice problems with little theory. I would recommend him for Calc II.

Professor Zaleski is one of the best at NJIT. He stayed after the every class ended just to clear my doubts. He actually cares about his students and is a fair grader. Taken during fall 2022. Arguably one of the best math professors I've had, Zaleski definitely knows how to communicate concepts during his lectures. He helps out by telling you what to and what not to copy down. He's really friendly and knows how to explain difficult concepts in a simple way. The online HW can tedious at times but it's manageable.

Professor Zaleski teaches calc thw way it's supposed to be taught. Not going to lie, the curriculum is very tough and fast paced, but Zaleski does better than any other professor. He engages students knows exactly what he is talking about. If you have an anxiety or panic disorder tho it might not be the best class cuz he randomly calls on people.

Professor Zaleski made the absolute agony that was Calc II at NJIT so much easier. He's an amazing lecturer and makes it so much easier to understand Integrals and Series. He's also just a really genuine and kind guy, and goes the extra mile to help students. He will literally answer his phone to help you with hw, that should say it all.

Zaleski is a great professor to take for such a hard course like calc 2. The only downside I would say is he gives a lot of quizzes but honestly, it kind of prepares you by letting you know how well you retained the material from the last class. Calc 2 itself is hard, but I think Professor Zaleski does an amazing job teaching and you can tell that he just wants the best for his students. There were quizzes almost everyday on the topic that was taught the day before, but if you properly study for each day, they help you prepare for the common exams in the end so don't slack off!

I would not have passed this class without him. He gives a quiz every class, but it is one random question he makes up, (he drops the lowest score, and you take plenty to make up for any bad grades). If you like learning with examples, he is the professor for you, if you want to understand the theory, you might want to find another.

Professor Zaleski is an engaging lecturer who breaks down complex topics in Calc II. The class takes work, but with the free textbook, study sessions, and tools like Unstuck ai, you can master the material. Definitely worth taking.

GOATED PROFESSOR!! He may give quizzes every class but they are very helpful. I failed almost all the quizzes at the start of the semester but learning from those mistakes got me 80s on the commons. Very caring and knowledgeable of what he teaches, but he does have bad handwriting so get your glasses ready. Overall, hilarious and helpful professor.

He was great, daily quizzes but he would pull the question from the hw, so do your hw and you will be ready. He is a very fair grader and his office hours were very helpful when I needed it. If I had to take math again at NJIT I would want to take it with him. Only 2 midterms too.

Professor Zaleski genuinely cares about his students success and constantly reminds you to use the tutoring center to your advantage, offers extra credit and drops 1-2 lowest quiz grades. Quiz heavy but it's absolutely worth it and keeps you familiar with material. Come to class and pay attention and you'll pass no problem. Pretty funny guy too.

Very good professor. Had a poor grade in Calc 1, but he clears up confusion and has notes on Canvas for you to review. Has bad handwriting and goes on tangents quite frequently, but he's recommended for a reason! Gives a quiz most days than not, but will give extra credit at the end of the semester if the class average for quizzes is low.
