She is the most unorganized teacher I've ever met. She gives you reading assignments that do not pertain to half the questions on her quizzes. She seems to think that literature class should also involve a vast knowledge of World History. Also, every single class lecture somehow involves an uncomfortable talk about intercourse. This is not a joke.

Dr. McQuail's class is not an easy course but you will score well if you do the work and actually participate in class. As an older student, I found that the majority of my class mates were stricken with fear by her assertiveness. Don't be. Grade is really dependent on the midterm, essay paper, final, and most importantly, class participation.

There's not as much reading in this class as the other reviewers are saying. BUT today is the 12th and the research paper is due the 20th(or the 25th, she has changed the syllabus many times...) and we aren't even close to starting the book that the paper is over. That sums it up for this professor. Nice but severely disorganized.

DO NOT take her class at all cost. This class was impossible to get an A in, no matter how hard you worked. She is a very opinionated feminist. Not to mention her syllabus is a complete mumble jumble.
