I took Joshua for College Algebra, and it was such a great class! I am not a fan of math at all, but he makes it very easy. He gives you study guides for the test. Funny and good looking!

Mr. Baker is a very funny sweet guy. He always has a funny joke. Math is hard for me but he will go over problems on the board again and again. He gives test reviews and always turn in homework. His grading scale is 93 to 100-A, 86 to 92 B. The only thing I didn't like. He is a good teacher!

Take his class! I dropped early because it wasnt counting towards anything after changing my major. I only hated his hw assignments! theyre due every wk unlike most hw from math professors thats due before test or at the end of semester. I recommend him&hes pretty good looking

Baker is a great professor to take for Algebra. However, if u miss any classes catch up fast cuz u will fall on ur face otherwise. I was overwhelmed & had a tough semester. He is so knowledgeable & tries to make everything as easy as possible. The tests are the study guides. Highly recommend him!

Josh Baker is the best math teacher I've ever had. I took his 16 week class, and the homework was never overwhelming. He explains things very thoroughly and he is very open to questions. We took 4 tests throughout the semester, and he gave us a study guide for each one. Everything on the test was provided on the study guide. I HIGHLY recommend him.

In response to Baker's grading scale, I didn't take him for BasicMath. However, I have taken Begin/Inter& planning on CollegeAlg w/him. It IS 500 pts; to make an F, it's 300/below. The 365 is a solid C. He WILL count off for not doing HW &attendance. Again, he may calculate diff for BasicMath, just seems odd if he does. I hope it works out for you.

He is a great teacher. Good at explaining things in a different way than other teachers. His grading scale kinda sucks. If you don't pass his tests you will fail his class and he does not allow any bonus. I enjoyed his class but i did not pass due to the tests. If you are struggling in math I would recommend him just watch those tests.

I took his fundamentals class I can honestly say he explains everything very well. He takes time to explain each and every different thing you will be learning. He also tells a lot of stories during class that are halarious. Most of my classes I felt a little intimidated entering in the first week but not this one at all. Very engaging class, great teacher, easy assignments. I highly suggest taking his class over the other math teachers. There's not as many assignments in his class compared to the other assignments in other classes I've seen people having to do. I give him an A+

Professor Baker can make any math class interesting. He explains everything you need to know to complete the homework. He answers questions and try's to give details that you can understand. Homework is on-line you don't need a book. Tests in testing center, but give study guides to practices. Come to class and you will pass. Wonderful teacher!

Mr. Baker's class is almost as easy as it gets. He describes how to do the problems step by step and if you dont understnd it, he will back track until you do. Homework is online so you do not need the book, but you will need the mymathlab portion with the online code. I would definitely recomend his class all the way!

He's great and will show you several different ways if you are having trouble understanding something. Your grade is capped by your attendance, and all homework is online don't need the book only code. I took him for every Math class from intermediate algebra to college algebra and I regret nothing! I loved having Professor Baker. He teaches his subject well and provides you with everything you need for the tests. He is willing to help with any question and very flexible. Take him if you can! Your study guide matches the test question to question with just different numbers and actually helps you study the correct information.

This class requires a lot of your time so if you don't like that, I don't recommend him. I liked everything about his class except the way he assigns homework. He goes over the entire section and sets the due date before you take the test. Basically you have a month to work on the homework but if you put it off, you find your self in big trouble.

He provides study guides for every test, so study and know what's on the study guide and you will pass the tests with flying colors. Absolutely reccomend him.

Josh is a cool guy. College Algebra is tough no matter who you take. The homework was too much. If you need help, go to the math lab. There are tutors in there that can help you. After hours help from Josh is tough because he has a family and kids. Very understandable. Class was a lot of fun. Just show up, keep cool and you will get through it.

Coach Baker is a great teacher but does give a lot of homework. Attend class or you will miss crucial information. I took his first 2-in-1 College Algebra and Intermediate Math coarse, which was challenging but my class was guinea pigs so I knew it would be tough. Took MrBaker for the co req course and wasn't disappointed! He works through the problems in class and adds in some humor to make it a little more enjoyable. He does answer homework question and gives you a study guide that is exactly like the test with different numbers, but same types of problems. He will answer any questions about the problems.

Great math teacher. He engages with the class in a way many dont. He builds a nice relationship with the class, almost becomes part of the class instead of just a instructor. Very quick to replying emails, if he doesnt understand your email he will suggest you call him and help over the phone. Very food math class, maybe a little heavy on the HW.

I took Professor Baker's online College Algebra class. He gives you pretty much all of the tools that you need to succeed in his class. Dr. Baker is an excellent stats instructor. He walks through all the formulas then shows you how to be more efficient on the calculator. The projects are interesting and engaging and the quizzes can be done as a group. Overall, the class is great. Im not particularly great in math, but he gives tools needed to succeed.

This was probably the best math class Ive ever taken. Statistics is a tough class, but Doctor Baker broke things down in a really good way and made the content very easy to process. Make sure you go to class because once the learning starts you will have daily quizzes. Dont worry because you will take 15ish quizzes but only the best 10 count.

Took him for an online Pre-Calculus course this summer. The class is self-paced essentially but he did an awesome job of laying out due dates and making sure he was easy to contact. Responded to emails super quickly. Lots of homework but lots of time to do it (due once a week). Super awesome dude, I'd recommend!

Dr. Baker is great at explaining hard to understand concepts in precalculus. He goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the concepts and is very prompt in responding to questions outside of class. Even with the class being online dedicated I felt like I learned a lot. WATCH HIS EXTRA YOUTUBE VIDEOS BEFORE EACH CLASS! Can't be lazy, do HW!

I am in his online class this semester so all of his assignments are in one place online. If you do an assignment after each class, and stay on top of your work. You'll be fine. Professor Baker was a really good teacher. He was willing to work with us and was very organized when doing online live. He understands that OLIVE was new for most of us but he tries to make us feel like were being heard in our concerns and was super flexible when something came up.

Dr. Baker was a great professor, especially if you aren't great at math. Mylabsplus can be particular in its grading but he allows you to submit corrections for your test grades. He also records his lecture so if you have to miss class, you can always go watch the recording. But he does take attendance so make sure to show up!

Dr. Baker really makes the class easy to pass. You will have to put forth the effort and show up to class, do homework, and study for tests. You will do one group project and you will do your quizzes in a group. You will have projects to do, but they are not hard and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Baker.

Study guides are the exact same as what will be on the test and can be taken as many times as needed. There is quite a bit of homework but it is doable.

Professor Baker's online class was very well-planned and reasonable. There is about 2-3 assignments a week, and he is VERY helpful when you are confused or do not understand. He takes the time to go back and look over your work and give you credit when the computer messes up on it's auto-grading. He is also very patient when you ask for help.

Professor baker's class is great! He cares and listens to criticism. he does daily quizzes but if you keep up with the work they are easy plus he only takes 10 out of the 16-17 quizzes. He drops your lowest test grade. He's easy to get ahold of when needed. he's easy going and worth taking his class.

Professor Baker was a great professor. I had him in the spring 2023 semester. This course was challenging because I had to teach myself the math from the textbook. You can take the tests twice. You do have to go to a TCC campus to take the midterm and the final in the testing center since this is an online course.

Statistics is a scary class, but Dr Baker made it an enjoyable experience. He allows the use of a calculator, and the focus is on understanding how to solve the problem instead of writing out a bunch of tedious calculations. If math scares you, I highly recommend Dr Baker's class

Professor Baker is an engaging and passionate instructor. He explains complex math concepts clearly and is always available to provide extra support. Using Unstuck ai alongside the course materials was a huge help for my study prep.

Dr. Baker was easily one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He has many outside resources available and was easily accessible if you had any questions or needed any extra help on assignments. I recommend taking the essentials class. The work load is a lot, but Dr. Baker made lectures entertaining and was so helpful in the learning process.

Stat online 8-week course. The Prof was nice and accessible for questions. Course was 95% on Pearson. Textbook and hw assignments were on there and exams. Each exam had a practice exam to take first. No posted lecture videos so I had to look at examples on the hw and teach myself- frustrating at times. 4 projects, 3 exams, and hw are only grades.

Dr. Baker was a good teacher, the only part of the course that was hard was that it was an 8-week summer course. during this course the assignments were due variably, throughout the week, not on a set end of week day. good Professor though, I would take him for another course.

Dr. Baker is an awesome teacher. He'll help answer any questions you have, if you attend class, his lectures are easy to understand and is very engaging. He likes to be engaged, so talk even if you're unsure!

Mr. Baker is literally the best professor that you could possibly have. He is an incredible individual who has the special gift of being able to make every single class that he teaches an enjoyable experience, whether the material that will be covered interests you or not. His classes are not only enjoyable but inspiring as well.

Dr. Baker is an incredible professor. He made learning fun and enjoyable. I went into the class nervous and terrified, not knowing what to expect, but his class helped me enjoy the lessons. He answered everyone's questions and made sure no one was left behind. Make sure to do the homework and study the guide. I'll be taking him again for Pre-Calc.

Taking this class online means you really do have to teach yourself a lot, but it is definitely doable if you put in the work and use your resources. I used Unstuck AI along with the course materials to learn the content, and it helped a lot. Professor Baker responds to emails in a timely manner and communicates well, which definitely helps.

As someone who has struggled with math, this has been one of the most generous and patient professors I've had. Very willing to help students, answers questions efficiently, and structures lectures in a way that is easy to understand. Personally, it is important to take notes and stay on top of the assignments to get the most out of this class.

Professor Baker is one of the most caring professors I've had the honor of meeting. I absolutely love this guy. For any math class, your score is indicative of your effort. Professor Baker provides a lot of headroom to get a decent score. Lowest test score is dropped, and he's very accessible outside of class. Provides study guides for each exam.
