Really Nice guy. Test are pretty high school level. Cares enough to help ya out if your confused but with this class, theres no reason to be. Id def. suggest him!

Ok this guy seems real cool and his lectures arent that bad. but he wont post all of his lectures making it hard to study and he half of his midterms are trick questions that screw you up. other than that he's ok

Definitely a prof I recommend. Grading was extremely fair, tests were easy if you come to class or spend some time looking over it. He was so easy to understand and spoke clearly. 5 exams, but he only counts 4. so the 5th is optional. assignments are so easy! It's hard not to do well on them. Plus he usually curves the class at the end.

H.S. level assignments, pretty easy tests. Lectures are pretty dull. He eventually decided to post them to webCT as long as class attendence stayed high. Gives 5 tests but only takes 4 grades, so if you screw one up you get another chance. Optional final if your happy with what you have.

Josh is a good prof that enjoys teaching and being with college students. I wasn't the most interested in HumNut when I started but he made class interesting and fun... Grade A-

I definately recommend taking this class, the tests and assignments are really easy. He posts all his notes online and usually gives test Q's in class.

His class is very interesting, and gives you alot of info. on how your body works with food. The grading is awesome, but to warn you that his assignments are easy but EXTREMELY TOUGH GRADING SO LOOKOUT!!!! I would just take the online course, because you don't have to go to class and it's a GEC.

Joshua Bomser has made be believe that there are still some good professors out there.. He is fair, straight-forward, and generally willing to help any student. He is quick at responding to questions whether it be through e-mail or through the online dicussions.. Simply put Joshua Bomser is the best professer I have taken ever..Take him.

Tests were really easy and straight forward. If you go to class, he usually tells you some questions that will appear on the tests so attendance definately improves your grade. He is so witty and makes the class really enjoyable and relates it to his own life and also to students. Great teacher, would totally recommend him and the class!

really easy just make sure to do all of the assignments accurately. Coming to class is not mandatory but helps as he sometimes gives out test questions in lecture

Favorite class so far. He's really funny, very interesting, the quizzes were a joke, but I learned a lot. Never used the textbook, I'd always went to class because I liked it, but you could get away with skipping it no problem. You get to drop a quiz and exam grade, so he grades easy too. Really good class

Dr. Bomser is super nice, and always helpful. His tests are very fair and if you study for the exams you will get an A. You do not need the textbook but if you're really interested in the material it will give you a bunch of extra neat info.

Barely attended class but ended up with an A-. The lecture material provides the majority of the questions on the tests so really study the lecture notes that are provided online. When I did go to class he was thoroughly interesting to listen to. If my class would not have been a 9 AM I definitely would have made it a point to make it lecture.

One of my favorite professors! Always thanked his students for coming to class and made sure to make lectures as interesting as possible. Definitely have to study for the tests but overall a pretty easy A!

Great class . They werent were lectures as much as they were class disscussions guided by bomser. Very easy going and you can tell he cares. He will go out of his way to find answers to questions students have asked taht he is unsure of. His tests are fair, but be prepared for a lot extended response questions.

One of the best professors I have had at Ohio State. He made the class relatively easy for the material covered- tests were over the big picture of the topics rather than specific minor details. Also one of the funniest professors, as long as you can understand his sense of humor. Made me want to come to class and participate.

One of my favorite professors at OSU. Really nice guy, and is funny. He really seems to enjoy teaching and cares about his students. He does record the lectures and post them online, which is nice if you're sick one day. I used the online lectures to study for exams and that really helped.

He is so funny! Gets upset if you don't go to class, but has online lecture which is what I primarily used. His tests are easy as long as you pay attention, so again the online lectures help a lot with that. He really cares, if you go to his office hours you'll def want to continue the convo. Awesome guy, def would take again!

One of the best professors I have had. I wish he taught more nutrition courses. He really cares about his students and wants them to learn. Do not hesitate to talk to him about anything! He tries to make his classes easy for you and even posts recorded lectures online. I would definitely recommend!

Easily one of the best professors at Ohio State. He was okay with you not going to class because he recorded all of the lectures. I personally liked going to class so that I could see him explaining all of the pictures and mechanisms and then listen to all of the lectures on 2x speed before the exams. He always stays after class to answer questions

Great guy! I really enjoyed his class. Lectures were recorded using a microphone and put on Carmen, so I would watch the videos in double speed instead of walking across campus in the cold. He prepares you well for the tests, and you are able to drop your lowest test score. The final exam is optional. TAKE THIS CLASS WITH JOSH, FOR SURE! Easy GE

Joshua is one of those professors that makes your semester easier. He is super funny and easy going. the lectures are non-mandatory and all of the lectures are online along with audio recordings. he is a blessing! you do have to study for the tests or else you will not pass. but its fairly easy. no textbook required either! take him!

He's amazing! I had Ds on the first 2 exams. After that, he offered to have a study session with my friend and I everyday after class, and I got a B+ on the last 2 exams. He drops your lowest exam grade. He makes the class fun with so much humor added. The class requires memorization, but if someone like me can do it, so can you! I still visit him.

Josh was an amazing professor to have. He said on day 1 that the book wasn't needed and attendance wasn't mandatory since everything's posted online. Josh was still so great and I went to most of the lectures anyways.

Professor Bomser provides one the best classes you could take. He's super funny and really knows his stuff. His lectures are very laid back and he posts videos of them online if you decide not to come to class. You can tell he really wants his students to succeed and understand the material. Only went to 2 Lectures and the rest I watched online from the comfort of my bed which was so nice. Best class ever. Your grade is literally midterms plus one homework so make sure you study for them but they are easy if you know the notes. It is an easy A with little to no effort at all. Literally such a move

Professor Bomser is so sweet and such a great lecturer. This class is straightforward memorizing facts and all his lectures are uploaded on Carmen. I had him for 8AM and attendance isn't mandatory but he is worth waking up for and getting an easy A on the exams. You can tell he loves teaching & definitely wants you to pass. Easy GPA booster class.

If you are looking to get rid of a GE like I was, I HIGHLY recommend this class. There are 5 grades total; 2 small projects and 3 graded tests. However, the projects are easy and the tests are fine too, they're all memory of the notes within the lectures. He posts everything online, though going to class isn't bad at all (you leave early everyday)

Josh is probably my favorite professor at OSU. If you're looking for an easy and interesting GE- Take HUMNNTR2210. It's an easy A as long as you study and turn in the two mini projects he assigns. He gives 4 tests throughout the semester but drops your lowest grade so I didn't even have to take the final. If you need help, he is very accessible.

While I didn't like how really the only grades were just two projects and four exams, since I felt I had little room for error, I loved this guy. There's 4 exams (he drops the lowest one) and 2 super easy projects. All you really have to do is memorize the slides he posts for exams and it should be an easy A.

If you don't show up to this class, you will pass. He's so nice & just wants you to pass. You have 4 exams the entire year & that's it. No homework. Just graded on tests. Your lowest test is dropped. He gives EC if Ohio State wins. I had a D the entire year, he dropped my lowest, it went up. The last exam is just past exam ?'s & some new easy stuff

Easiest class I have ever taken. He posts all his slides on carmen, so you never have to go to class. I study the review slides the night before exam and got As on all the midterms. Only has 3 midterms, 2 super easy projects, and a final (which you most likely dont have to take because the lowest grade is dropped). Such an easy GE.

Josh is the best prof Ive had so far. He always cares for his students and tries to help them anyway he can. In order to do well on the exams, you need to be able to memorize his study slides. His lectures are also very enjoyable and worth going to.

this dude is hilarious. I came into class one day seeing him do wall sits. he also OD on purpose off of vitamins during that chapter to show us an example. the exams are easy. most questions are based off the slides. 2 outside projects that are easy A as well. I loved going to class bc of his character. it made the class so fun

Josh is easily the best professor I have had throughout college. I absolutely love him and his course! He makes nutrition super interesting and enjoyable. His course influenced me to minor in nutrition and focus more on fueling my body properly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! All lectures are recorded, exams are super easy and he has super simple projects.

loved this class! He was a funny dude because of his personality. he basically tells us what is on the exam. take 3/4 exams. one gets dropped. 2 small projects that are easy points. I recommend looking over ur grades. The TA this year deducted points on my projects for no reason so i had to email bomser a couple times to give me points back

Easiest class I have ever had. He has every lecture recorded on carmen so you don't have to go to classes. Even if you don't listen to the recorded lectures but just read the slides three times as I did before every exam, you will get very decent grades. I spent only a little bit time on this class but still learned a lot. Take his class!

Amazing professor. His notes and lectures are super clear and it's easy to tell what information is important because he repeats it often. He posts all of his recorded lectures online so even if you cannot attend class, it's easy to keep up. Before each class, he clears up any confusion and he really cares about us understanding the material

wonderful professor. made the class extremely straightforward and was very understanding. made it enjoyable online. lecture provided with lecture slides for class, and they were interesting. 4 exams, lowest one being dropped, and a few assignments. very knowledgeable; this class and the prof pushed me to pick up nutrition minor !!

The class consists of 4 exams (lowest dropped), and 2 assignments that are very simple. The professor is extremely nice and was very caring during Covid, at the start and end of the lecture he tries to engage students and make sure they know we can contact him at any time. He is very accessible outside of class and has great, simple lectures

Professor Bomser is one of the best professor's i've ever had at OSU. Not only does he make the class easy, he also makes it incredibly fun. He has funny lectures, and even tells you not to buy the textbook. He also drops your lowest test grade. He even inspired me to minor in Nutrition. I would 100% recommend taking this class.

Josh is great. Online lectures were short and to the point. Material is very easy to understand. Exams are easy if you know the material. Only grades were three exams (one of the four exams was dropped) and two very simple assignments. Never met him in person but, Josh seems like a pretty cool guy. Highly recommend this class, easy A.

good guy! Barely any grades so you better get the grade u want on quizzes and the two homework assignments. one mistake and it is hard to come back. nonetheless, he gave out 8 extra credit points which was huge, considering there aren't that many points available

Prof. Bomser is truly one of my favorite professors at Ohio State so far. He is very clear with his content in his lectures, and very open to help if you are not understanding. The Human Nutrition 2210 course is 4 exams (1 dropped) and 2 assignments, with 3 lectures a week. It is organized very well and his positive attitude makes it even easier.

he is a great professor and very understanding. one of the few that genuinely wants you to succeed. lectures and classes are organized very well. only 2 very easy assignments and 4 exams, only 3 of the best counts. exams are straight out the lectures, no BS.

Not much outside of lectures (20-40 minutes). No required readings. Tests are closed book and a bit tricky. Interesting content though.

By far my favorite professor that I have had at OSU. The content is not always the easiest, but Dr. Bomser is incredible at explaining hard concepts. He genuinely cares about his students and is very personable. I cannot recommend him enough.

Professor Bomser was a really great professor that was super will to work with me to get where I needed to be. Although lectures are not mandatory I recommend attending, I got a lot out of them and really enjoyed. One thing I would say is beware of the TAs they were big sticklers when grading labs. Overall great option for the natural science GE.

Professor Bomser is not only engaged and interested in the material he teaches, but he goes above and beyond to display care for each and every student in his class. Even in a large lecture setting, I felt cared for and respected by him. He is understanding and down to earth, and truly unlike any professor I've had previously. Would recommend!!

Fun lectures and all tests open note. Enjoyable class

I looked forward to Professor Bomser's lectures week to week and he genuinely made me care more about my nutrition. I never expected to like a class I took to fulfill a gened so much but Bomser made his lectures really engaging and interesting and he'd actually go into entertaining random tangents about his life. Highly recommend taking his class.

My favorite professor. 4 exams, last one is optional if you're ok with your grade of the first three. there are labs every week but they're pretty simple. Yeah, I just liked the class, he's really cool and funny. He really appreciates people showing up, even though attendance isn't mandatory, so please show up if you're taking his class.

Such a good class and professor! Your grade only consists of 4 online exams open note and labs about every week. Almost every Friday class was moved online. He cares about his students and doesn't act like he's superior because he's the professor. Attendance is optional. Funny to listen to as well.

He is truly kind man that has a passion to teach. The class have easy online exams that you take on your own time and structured work that is super manageable. We had take home labs that weren't exactly my favorite, but it was connected to the material.

Genuinely my favorite class I've taken this semester. He teaches tricky material in a way that's super easy! He's also just a super fun lecturer. I think I'm going to try to take another one of his classes in college. 10/10 guy.

AMAZING TEACHER. So sweet and the lectures were actually really enjoyable. All labs are online take-home and all the exams are online take-home as well. Seriously not a hard teacher at all and he also cancels classes frequently.
