very easy class. if you attend class, you can make an A. test are easy and he gives a lot of extra credit out. He may be a little boring, but just stick with it.

hes a really nice guy. he makes his own outlines of everything you should know. don't buy your book because you dont need it. just study the handouts before the tests and you'll make an A. i did. he gives lots of extra credit and hes very understanding of any situation you may have.

This guy is amazing! You actually learn in this class, and it's fun! He does a fantastic job at teaching the material and goes over EVERYTHING that's gonna be on the test RIGHT before you take the test. He's incredibly smart and is there because he wants to be.

Easiest college class I've had yet. You don't even need the book, all you have to do is take notes on the lecture and the tests are all from that. The projects and presentations are fantastically easy and on low turn out days he gives extra credit for attendance. You learn a fair bit about the origins of all the main religions, it's even kinda fun.

Dr. Braley's class is wonderful. He really wants people to get involved and he tries to liven his lectures with humor. I definitely recommend his class, you will learn alot and its a guaranteed (A) if you do the assignments and come to class. This class was very easy. The quizzes are easy to pass. All you have to do is take decent notes from his power-points & study a tiny bit. He teaches very well & knows his stuff. This class was interesting! You learn about 23 types of religions in America. You have to do two papers on a religious service you attend through out the semester. There are 6 quizzes and they are pretty easy if you have been in class and take notes. This class is easy if you apply yourself. Mr. Braley is very nice and helpful. Take him!

Great teacher. Kind of an awkward person, but really nice. He's almost too nice as a college professor. You do have to show up because attendance is part of the grade, but the class is worthwhile. Missing class sucks because even if he gives you the powerpoint slides from class, they're just bullet points and can be "cryptic" as he likes to say. A+

Dr. Braley is very inteligent and not many questions stump him. He is extermley clear about exaclty what is on the test. The book is NOT needed, as the lectures are exaclty about what's on the test. Attendance is mandatory, but class never goes the whole period. Fun guy, draws pictures on the board to keep your attention. Good class; learned a lot.

Mr Braley is awesome and hilarious. Knows exactly what he is talking about, draws hilarious pictures, very understanding and leanient. 6 quizzes and 2 journals, along with a final. Never made less than an A on the quizzes or journals, and I didnt study. Take him you wont regret it. Learn a lot and get the good grade.

One of the nicest guys you will ever meet! This class focuses on 6 religions and you spend about 5 classes on each (one video, 3 lectures, and a quiz). The lectures are great because he includes activities and drawings that make it really easy to learn the material. I'm definitely going to take another one of his classes if I get the chance. :)

Mr. Braley is a wonderful teacher. He is willing to work with you after class if you have trouble understanding something. But you hardly have to ask questions because he is very clear while teaching. He's extremely smart on the subject and makes it fun to learn. I really enjoyed going to his class. Taking him again for REL2121. You should, too!

He is the nicest teacher I've had. He's so funny and truly enjoys teaching. His quizzes are easy (I study day of). However, he does mark attendance and it counts as grade (but if you talk to him before hand he'll make exceptions for legit reasons) but if you miss a class, his notes are online. I would definitely recommend him.

This is by far, hands down, the best teacher I have had so far in my two years of going to college. He is extremely nice, and the lectures are animated [he makes drawings on the board] and very fun and entertaining. I would recommend Dr. Braley to anyone as a required course, or as an elective. Braley is a really good teacher. He breaks the major religions down for everyone to understand. He's funny and draws cute drawings on the board when lecturing to make it more entertaining. He knows the subjects well and if you show interest, he will always help you! I took his World Religions class and I will take his Religion in America class!

Mr. Braley's class was awesome. Really laid back, informative and fun. Everything on the tests came straight from the powerpoints so if you put them in your notes verbatim, you'll have the answers.

This class is a basic general cursory overview of American religions and you get a good basic cursory understanding of them in this class. Class participation is open and respectful. Questions are answered in class, unless it is something a little deeper. Go to class and get an A!

Put some effort into your report and you will do fine. He gives a study guide for each quiz, but many questions come from lecture slides (but they are posted online). He takes attendance EVERY class and it is part of your grade.

Its no wonder that he is teaching Religion because this man is a saint. He makes his class enjoyable and does not expect your life to revolve it. He is by far one of the sweetest instructors that I have had at SF. He responds very quickly to emails and is more than fair with his grading. Take him because you will not regret the easy A !!

Super cool guy. Very easy class. Just show up and speak your mind. There is a research paper and a group project but it wasn't difficult. Three tests are the main chunk of the grade but he gives you study guides. There wasn't a final but rather a final discussion.

Very clear with his teachings. Only 3 quizzes and they are a big part of your grade. He does give you study guides for them. Research paper as well as group presentation required.

Do yourself a favor and take any class by Dr. Braley. You will learn and you will get an 'A'. Online class is obviously discussion based. Has weekly quizzes (short) with crystal clear questions taken straight from the book and the notes. Uses an older book so the rental won't kill you. Excellent professor who cares! He is my favorite professor I have had so far! He is so sweet, witty, friendly, always has a smile on his face, just a great person. His lectures are easy to understand. A quiz about every two weeks but he gives a great study guide so youll know exactly what to study. I actually looked forward to going to class. Love this guy!

Online it has also been awesome, quizzes are open book but are 15 questions in 15 minutes so you must already have some idea of the material. REL2000 and REL2121

Dr. Braley is the most amazing person! If you're afraid to take a religion class, don't be. His class is a very safe environment. I've taken multiple classes with him, and never get bored. He's a master of silly cartoons, & really just wants everyone to have a good time. Tests are simple, he tells you what's on them. Offers plenty of extra credit!

Be prepared to read. Quiz almost every week and discussions almost every week. Quizzes and final are open note. I strongly suggest you print out the quizzes after the answers are posted. That is your primary study guide for the final. Professor responds to emails fast and he's very helpful. Nice guy! Textbook is a must have. SUPER EASY A!!!

I took the class online and it's pretty much teach yourself. He gives a 15 question test weekly with 15 minutes to take it. Also each week you have to ''participate'' by posting on a group discussion 2 times. Pretty easy A as long as you read. Didn't give a study guide other than to look over prior tests... That's the only thing I would change..

Mr. Braley is awesome. I took his one Religion class and literally got over 100% final. You can not fail his class unless you don't show up and don't do your work. His work is not hard and he always makes it fun in class. I'll be taking a few more of his classes come Spring.

If you are thinking about taking any class with Mr. Braley just go ahead and sign up now. If you put a little effort into the class you will pass with a high grade. There is a quiz about every other week, he gives you a study guide which you will need to use the book for. Do the study guide and review the notes from powerpoint and you'll do great.

He is the best professor at Santa Fe. If you show up to class and do the quiz reviews you will get an A in the class. He genuinely cares about his students. He draws hilarious pictures during his lectures. PLEASE TAKE HIM!! You will not regret it.

I can't speak highly enough of this man. He taught a tough subject like religion in a way that was as unbiased as humanly possible. Every day, he had a bright smile on his face and started class with a cheerful "Welcome back!" He had extra credit for those that needed it and had activities to get students involved. Great lecturer.

I sincerely wish there were more people like Joshua Braley in the world. I've never written a review for anything but I specifically went out of my way to write this man a good review. Take this professor! I highly recommend him, I took him online and he was great at giving feedback and suggestions, only have 1 quiz and 1 discussion each week then a few assignments here and there and a paper due by end of semester. I can't say enough good things about this teacher. I took this class online, in the spring. There is a quiz every week, you do have to read the book to answer the quiz questions. There is one research paper 1500 word min, but he gives you a lot feed back so you can make a good grade. I would definitely recommend this teacher.

He's the sweetest professor ever! Obviously religion is tough class to teach but he is super respectful of everyone's opinions and keeps lectures interesting. He's easily accessible and only has one paper and short quizzes that are word for word the power points & book. TAKE HIM AND YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

Prof. Braley is by far one of the best professors I've ever had at Santa Fe. He's extremely nice and class was never really boring. The entire class consists of just quizzes (10 i believe) and a final. All which are multiple choice. He gives you a study guide before each quiz which makes up 5 questions in the quiz, the rest you have to study for.

A very easy class just do the readings each week, there are a discussion post and quiz due each week. You would have to try to fail this class honestly. A kind professor who seems to enjoy his job.

SUPER EASY! Discussion post due every week with no word count (due Sunday, but if done by Wednesday, you get extra credit). Quizzes every week but they are word for word the textbook (and tells you what page). Final is optional if you have over an A (easy if you just post by Wednesday). Literally never read the textbook, but needed for the quiz.

Prof. Braley managed to make religion even more fascinating. I second, third, fourth, and fifth all the 5/5s hes received. Awesome class and professor.

This is the second class I have taken with this professor because makes the class easy to keep up with and also educational! I could not express how much you should take one (or more) of his classes. He is so excited to teach and you can tell through his videos. I wish there were more courses of his I could take.

Best teacher ever! I absolutely loved him in both 2121 and 2300. This is a very easy class, while still learning about different religions.

Professor Braley is such an amazing prof! I had him for Spring 2022. He is so sweet and very passionate about what he teaches! He also gives really good feedback, and he interacts with his students. You can get up to 50 extra credit points. There are only 2 assignments per week, and if you turn them in early you get extra credit. I love this class!

Summer A: Getting an A was so easy it almost felt criminal! 6 quizzes/discussion posts (lowest dropped/open book), 1 easy GELO project, easy final exam, several EC options- I skipped the final, didn't bother w/the last unit, & phoned in the GELO project. 900 points min. needed for an A, I still managed 920. Dr. Braley was great! Zero regrets.

Everything is open book/open note too. There are opportunities for extra credit, but if you do the normal classwork you shouldn't need it.

Professor Braley is an amazing professor. I finished his class with a 100! He is an easy grader with the assignments, which are some of the easiest assignments I've ever done. The coursework is mainly an article, a discussion, and a quiz every week with the exception of a few major projects. If you need a Humanities credit, take Professor Braley.

He is an amazing professor! If i see any classes with his name on them I am taking them again. Lectures are fun and the drawings he does (at least for my class, Religion in America) brings everything together for me who is not a huge fan of sitting for an hour and 15 minutes just listening. He is engaging, funny, a bit goofy and I LOVE that about him. His "door" is always open, stays after class for questions from students. If you communicate with him, he will work with you. If you do your journal entries, show up for class (extra points), his test is open note you will successfully pass his class. I highly recommend!

Great professor. Weekly workload is very light, there are quiz and discussion drops. There is an 1000 word research paper, but it is nothing to sweat about. Final is even shorter than that. 10/10

Loved this class, I would definitely recommend online. The instructor notes and occasional videos are very well curated along with other weekly materials. There is a short quiz and writing assignment due each week along with a research paper and a final. Overall super fun!
