Girshner enjoys being a clown, and at the end of the day, keeps class very entertaining. He is very clear and concise while explaining things. Go to class for clicker points, stay on top of homework and online quizzes, and study the practice quizzes before every test and you will most likely make no worse than a B.

I absolutely hated math in high school and algebra was just not my thing... but Girshner made everything very simple and easy to understand. Just make sure to do all the things assigned to you on blackboard. Class attendance in mandatory but he dropped eight days for my class! Would recommend him to anybody!

Finite isn't easy but Girshner is great at not only explaining the material, but telling you what to do to succeed . It's very important to go to class and to take the practice tests. People, finite is a hard hard class, no doubt about it. No matter what professor you have, you are going to have to work hard and put in effort. Girshner is a great teacher ans knows his stuff. Mr Girshner was always available for meetings and genuinely cared about my performance. He had my name memorized which in college honestly isnt often in classes of his size. Look- finite isnt an easy course but this man does the best of his ability to explain it to me. This was my last math class ever, and im glad to have had him as a professor.

Finite is a tough class, but Girshner does a great job of explaining it. The reason I got a B was i forgot to do a page of the project and got an F and I was sick for 2 weeks and missed too many attendance points. Anytime I needed help with anything, he was always quick to answer my emails and was always willing to help. Take him he is the best.

Amazing teacher! Took finite 2x, first with another professor and i struggled to get a D. With Girshner i got an A and had a great time in the class. Very funny and cares for his students. He is not very firm and is incredibly fair, the class is great, and he is the only professor at this notoriously bad math program I would be happy to have.

He really is the best teacher for finite. He was gone for a little during the semester so we had other teachers teach us and none of them were anywhere close to how good he taught. Clicker questions help and there are 4-5 everyday so go to class. If you do everything you're supposed to (homework, quizzes, study HARD) you will be alright.

Girshner is great, however it is a really self-taught class so professor doesn't matter a whole lot. Finite is a tough class and plenty of people withdrawal so no matter who you have its going to be hard. Lots of clicker questions in class so you have to go and he never cancelled class so that was the only downside.

I had Girshner for finite and I would have not been able to pass this class if it weren't for him! You can tell that he cares for his students and that he wants us to do well. You will have to put in work outside of class for finite because the professor can only do so much, but he is very good at explaining difficult material and making it simple.

Finite is difficult course, but if one is willing to work hard there is no reason they wont make the grade they want. Professor Girshner always responded to my emails promptly and was willing to answer any questions I had. Mainly used Pearson for math assignments, there were two projects, 3 exams and the final. Mr Girshner would always review our exam answers to make sure we earned every point possible.

Girnsher made finite much easier to understand and tried his hardest to make the class more bearable. Super funny and chill guy, would definitely recommend. He does do a lot of clicker questions, so definitely go to class (he drops 2 weeks worth at the end of the semester though). Overall great teacher, I would definitely take him!!

Easy to understand when you go to class and pay attention. Makes everything in the class seem super simple and always will help out if needed.

Girshner is great. While attendance isn't mandatory, points are awarded through clickers. So show up to class if you want the points for being there. Girshner is knowledgeable and cares about his students, also puts funny and different twists on the lectures. Great professor, would take again no doubt.

I absolutely LOVED having Mr. Girshner. The class content itself is difficult but he makes it as easy as it could be. He is very knowledgeable and it shows in his lectures. I never ran into an issue that he wasn't very understanding and helpful with.

Finite is a tough class, but Professor Girshner does his best to make it manageable. While he can be sarcastic at times, his lectures are engaging and he's always willing to help if you put in the effort. unstuck study was a lifesaver for study prep.

Mr. Girshner is a very nice professor. He teaches very well, but very fast. He does a lot of clicker points so going to class is a must. If you go to class, pay attention, ask questions and watch the extra videos he provides you will pass the class with a good grade.

The best professor for finite. He taught it in a way that was very easy to understand. It was a super easy class with him teaching it. Go to class for clickers, and listen to what he says and you will get an A

Girshner's a great professor. He taught the material clearly and made his lectures entertaining. I know some people struggled in his class, but as long as you do the homework throughout the unit, use the quiz retakes, and take the practice tests as many times as you need, you'll do well in his class. I would definitely recommend him for finite.

Professor Girshner is an amazing finite instructor who explains the content in a way that's easy to understand. He is very clear about what we need to know to be prepared for our unit tests, and is a very easygoing guy. Highly recommend, and would take again!

Was only ever in class for around 20 minutes. Everything was pretty much only and I would definitely say to get a tutor.

Finite is going to be a hard class no matter what teacher you have, but Professor Girshner explains everything so well, I don't think I would have an A if I had any other teacher. You have a lot of clickers points about every class so you will need to come to class.

Awesome Professor. Had a rough time in my personal life while taking his course, and he was very understanding. He cares a lot about students actually learning the content. He was much nicer to me than he understandably could have been. He worked with me to learn the course content and pass the class.

Professor Girshner is a wonderful and caring professor. He teaches very clear and explains everything to a tee. There's many pre-class assignments, 4 "Homework's" but the assignments are many questions that last for the whole unit, and 5 tests including the final. He gives you so many ways to study that is very helpful. Overall great class!

Professor Girshner is a great guy and a better teacher. He really cares about his job and the success of his students. Clicker points were taken almost every day in class so attendance somewhat affects your grade however he does drop some of them at the end of the semester. Do the HW without AI it makes the class much easier.

If you need to take finite, I would highly recommend taking him. He is very well organized and makes the class engaging. He recognizes each student as an individual learner as well. I would also recommend going to every single required class to maximize your grade. Great teacher all around.
