I really enjoyed Professor Haddad's class, he's very helpful and knowledgable on the topic, clearly cares about your work and the subject. Lots of work, weekly projects, but it will be beneficial and build your portfolio! You'll be busy, but if you care about graphic design, you'll really enjoy it. Great dude, highly recommend taking him.
Very knowledgable mand with a great understanding of all the online programs. very sweet friendly. would reccomend for anyone needing art credits.
He is by far one of my favorite professors. He is amazing. I think that some people may not like this course not because of him but because of the actual corse. He gave great feed back and really helped me learn and love the software.
I really loved Prof Haddad + Digital Arts. He's incredibly kind + knowledgable. As someone who isn't creative, his feedback + guidance were crucial to my success in this class. He pushed me to new heights + built my confidence in myself. Fun class, but time consuming work if you skip class (so don't). 3 hour classes were hard but he gives breaks!
One of the best humans and professors I've had at UT. Loves his field, and loves to teach his students. His expectations of you vary depending on your previous experience, and is pretty strict on attendance. Seriously one of the best though, definitely take even if you have to wake up early!
Haddad is a great professor! Gives honest feedback and time to fix/ adjust projects before due dates. He is very easy to communicate with. Attending class is important because its an art class, you would be missing critiques. He takes the 2-3 missing days seriously so dont miss more than you NEED to.
For me personally, digital arts is not one of my strengths, but he pushes you to try your best and gives you great feedback and ideas. I learned a lot in this class, especially during in-class critiques as other students in the class gave me feedback on my work.
I was not originally supposed to have Professor Haddad but I got switched to his class. This class was crucial for my major so I had to take it. BUT I really enjoyed this class. Professor Haddad was very helpful and you could tell how intelligent he is. Unfortunately, unlike other teachers he does not provide any free skip days so GO TO CLASS!!!
He is super personable and makes the class more fun to learn about by giving step-by-step lectures you can follow along during class. He also allows a lot of creative freedom in the class, making the projects a lot easier to want to do outside of class.
The professor is very knowledgeable in this subject and the enthusiasm in teaching helps with keeping up and being motivated to learn.
Such a good professor! This is the first class I genuinely enjoyed going to. You learn how to use the adobe platforms and do assignments based on them. Professor Haddad gives great feedback, is helpful and nice!
Super fun class. You definitely learn a lot and your design skills improve throughout the course. The professor is so fun and gives the best feedback. He always listen to you carefully and takes into perspective your ideas.
I enjoyed this class, professor Haddad was very helpful and clear on what he wanted. we did I think 6 projects which was very fun, I definitely would take his class again! Class did go to almost the full time every class but he did let us out early. My favorite project was the video one.
For a 100 level class, it was a lot of work. Attendance is mandatory and if you miss a class, you fall far behind and can get confused. He gives great feedback and will work with you if you need help. He truly does care about his students and tries to push your abilities.
I LOVED Dr. Haddad. I would take class with him again in a heartbeat, I just didn't like having to be up at 9 am with mandatory attendance. The work isn't too hard, but make sure you pay attention during lectures, or you will be lost. I really enjoyed this class and it's the most I've learned for a class in a long time (all beneficial though).
Professor Haddad was hands down the best professor I have taken at UT. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed + gives tons of feedback on your work. Don't be afraid that the class is 2 hours and 50 mins because it goes by so fast and you will learn SO much. If you can take this class TAKE IT!!
If you need an art credit, this class is a good selection but it does require you to be somewhat artsy.
Professor Haddad is great! If you want to do well in this course you MUST show up and be prepared. Prof. Haddad makes time every class to help his students and make sure they are on track. He gives good feedback on all assignments, so make sure to look out for that. I highly suggest professor Haddad.
Prof. Haddad is a good professor, he is caring about your work and is an honest grader. Attendance is mandatory, and participation is required in some classes. Overall, I would pick Prof. Haddad again if I had the chance.
Professor Haddad is great at what he does and knows the editing software well. Attendance is mandatory and to do well you must show up to every class. This class does require some editing and artistic skills or it may be somewhat difficult to keep up but he is very helpful and will teach you. I would definitely take this class again!
Professor Haddad, is a great professor. He is caring and a honest grader. Attendance is mandatory, and participation is required on critique days. You learn a lot in this class and do fun assignments. Some days you get out early.
Professor Haddad is super accommodating and genuinely cares that his students do well and understand what they are doing clearly. Each assignment is super straightforward and as someone who has never used photoshop, illustrator, or indesign, I can proudly say that because of this class, I can use them without even thinking about it.
Professor Haddad was super accommodating and genuinely cares about his students well being. He gives amazing feedback truly just wants to see us succeed. I came into the class not knowing how to navigate any of the editing software apps and now I can truly say I know how to use photoshop, illustrator, and indesign.
On every project, he gave great feedback and would sit down and help you if you were struggling with an aspect of one of the adobe platforms. I didn't know a whole lot about InDesign before this class but now I'm proficient. He also gave us a lot of creative freedom and was open to everyone's ideas.
Professor Haddad is an amazing instructor. He gave helpful feedback. Respect others' ideas and opinions.
totally could not even get anywhere near an A... He was low key always catty towards me and gave the most work. Made us use do sketchup over adobe premier video like what. Sketchup is literally for architecture, a major we don't even have, he sweats so much and was just not a nice man.
He is very kind and genuinely wants to help you improve your drawing techniques. Usually allows to leave a couple mins. early. Let's you wear headphones with your own music while drawing. Constantly gives feedback. Grading is based on sketchbook, drawing sets made during class, and portfolio. Not a tough grader but it is hard to get a 100.
Professor Haddad is a great art teacher who cares about his students' success in his class. I will say this is not really a class you could not give your best work in because it will be reflected in your grade and missing class can sink your grade as well, but overall really nice guy who sympathizes with his students'.
Professor Haddad is great and really wants his students to succeed in his class. ART 110 uses online software for digital art so it definitely can get complicated but he goes through steps on how to do everything and posts tutorials for each platform, and in the end its really fun. Go to class and do what you are supposed to and you will do good.
Joshua has been an amazing teacher this semester! I was intimidated about using the software before his class but now I am able to navigate the adobe software with no problem!!! I will definitely be using these skills in my professional career! and he's a great professor!
Professor Haddad was a great professor to have, especially if you have no experience with Adobe. For every project, he gave us clear directions on what to do and taught us everything we needed to do to succeed. This was a very enjoyable class and I have gained a lot of experience from it. It is quite fun if you put in the work!
I took this class as a requirement for AD/PR major and was nervous because I'm not the best at digital art but Professor Haddad is really kind and you learn everything you need to know for the projects through his lectures that you can follow along. He is always helpful and will answer any questions you have. Attendance is super important!
Professor Haddad is a fantastic teacher. Lectures were very informative but where he really excells is the personal attention he gives to our individual work. He is technically excellent and is in tuned with his his students goals and needs. Thank you for the opportunity to take your class.
Professor Haddad has great lectures, assignments, and video tutorials as independent learning. He is technically excellent and is in tuned with his students goals and needs. He helps students feel they can learn the software no matter how skilled or unskilled they are. He challenges the student wherever they are in their learning.
As someone new to digital I learned how to use platforms I never anticipated using before. Now I have ideas for digital projects even though I will probably never take another digital class. If you take Art 110 please take it with Professor Haddad.
Amazing professor. He cares so much about his students and gives the best feedback. It feels like he believes in everyone and wants us all to succeed.
If you are looking to take ART 110... TAKE HIM!!!!!!! Not only does he make projects interesting, But you are able to get all your work done in class. His personality makes the class really fun! I wish I could take this class again. 10/10 would recommend.
I can truly say that I enjoyed Art 110 and all the projects we did. Professor Haddad makes the class enjoyable and easy through his thorough instruction, patience and enthusiasm. He genuinely cares about the success of his students and ensures that we not only understand the material but our potential to succeed.
During class, Mr. Haddad was always prepared to teach and delivered thorough presentations. He is great at providing feedback and always seemed interested in my contributions to the class. If you're looking for a professor who will motivate you to be the best version of yourself, I highly recommend Mr. Haddad.
I loved him, the class was chill and easy.
Joshua, is the best Professor I have ever taken a class with, he is helpful always! Very down to earth and always wants his students to succeed. He gives feedback that helps and made me believe in myself as a graphic designer. I highly recommend you taking any of his classes!
He is such a great professor, when you need help with one of your assignments or anything that's on his PowerPoint that you don't understand. he will explain it to you and give examples. He is super chill on you being on the phone, as long as you turn in assignments and listen to him and his classmates during discussion times. Such a nice teacher.
Joshua is such a caring and respectful professor. You will need 200$ in supplies (but a lot of them are optional). The class is long but he hardly talks for more than 20 minutes, the rest was independant drawing. He gives great feedback and grades easily. Attendance is mandatory but just show up, listen to music and draw. Such a vibe.
Fun and easy going class, pushes the boundaries of different drawing styles, techniques and practicing outside drawing. I personally didn't enjoy the perspective drawing, but I really enjoyed our final drawing set at the end of the semester as it was open for us to choose.
Prof. Haddad is an amazing professor! He always takes the time to go over how to do every assignment and is always willing to help you. He gives you plenty of time to complete each assignment and allows you to be as creative as you want in your style! I highly recommend taking one of Prof. Haddad's classes.
Prof. Haddad was a very good professor! I had him for digital arts and he always went over projects and softwares very throughly. Show up for class and show him that you are working hard, you'll pass!
He is a great teacher that gives a lot of good feedback on your pieces. He does take attendance right in the beginning of class so if you end up being late he'll take points off your attendance percentage. He gives you a break in the middle of the class since it is a 3-hour course. Overall would take it again!
If you have the opportunity to take Professor Haddad, do it! He is an amazing teacher who cares about his students success. He is always clear about what he is asking for every assignment and will walk you through any questions. I came in with no Adobe experience, and am leaving with a ton! AMAZING TEACHER!
Extremely helpful and caring, gives really good feedback and recognizes when you put in effort. Always gives very clear instructions and is always willing to help/answer questions. He is great regardless but I would especially recommend him if you like art and are genuinely trying to improve, his feedback has helped me so much.
Prof. Haddad is super helpful and offers great feedback. The softwares can be tricky to understand at first if you haven't used them before but he helped us navigate the programs and solved any confusion quickly! Take advantage of the critiques and apply feedback from them and you should be good to go!
This class isn't hard to get a good grade in as long as you show up to class and put the work in. You wont/rarely will have work outside class which is a major plus. Overall a pretty chill class and if you enjoy digital design you'll love this class.
Professor challenges you to push your work further throughout the semester. He assigns sketchbook drawings for homework in addition to working 6 hours a week on drawings for critique in class. It took me a while to get the hang of how many drawings he expected a week. However, my drawings greatly improved as a result of all the practice.
Prof. Haddad is awesome, he's always willing to help and answer questions, he gives great feedback and cares a lot. There's a lot of sketchbook drawings but it's not that bad. Overall one of my favorite art professors at UT, take him if you can.
Professor Josh is a kind and caring teacher who is dedicated to helping students succeed as long as they put in the effort. His class is heavily focused on feedback and one-on-one teacher-student meetings, which initially posed a challenge for me due to my shyness. However, after getting accustomed to this approach, I found it to be beneficial.
He always showed up to class with a smile on his face and eager to teach. He cares a lot about each of his students, and he even knew everyone's name by the end of the first class. He is great at explaining concepts and gives amazing feedback. Joshua challenged my skills and pushed them to another level, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
Gives thorough feedback on projects and listens to his students opinions about the course pace for each project. Provides in depth lessons and learning materials. You can tell he really wants you to succeed and is willing to help you where you are at. Allowed for creative expression and was flexible when it came to project subject matter.
This class was my first time using Adobe for a class where I'd be graded based on my work. He does a great job of explaining new software, sometimes using one whole class period to do so. He gives very clear/thorough feedback, and is always willing to help! Definitely recommend :)
Professor Haddad is great at letting you have time to move at your own pace while still guiding you, making sure you will meet the deadlines if you play your part. He is also good at giving you feedback but also allowing you to take your work in the direction that you want to take it in. Very caring and organized.
Very organized and caring. He will make sure you are on track to meet deadlines while still letting you move at your own pace throughout the classes.
Professor Haddad is a great professor and cares about his students. I came into the class not knowing how to draw and improved so much. That being said, he will challenge you and he can be a tough grader. We had to spend a lot of time sketching in our sketchbooks outside of class. Class time was enjoyable.
Professor Haddad is truly amazing as a professor. His kindness and care for all of his students is unparalleled. He went above and beyond to ensure that each student was on the right path, providing valuable feedback along the way. I not only received great academic instruction but also felt supported in my personal and professional growth.
Professor Haddad is an amazing teacher. He is very educated and intelligent. He teaches in a way that is very understandable and easy. He is also very caring and accomodating.
If you want to know about Adobe software, take this class! He explains all the software so well and gives all of class time to independently work. Class was very therapeutic at times and overall loved it!
The best professor everrrrr! As long as you come to class and do your assignments, you will get a good grade!
Great professor, highly recommend I learned so much about adobe applications. The class is broken into a few main projects which you have plenty of time to complete. He is super helpful and there is a class critique before each submission to ensure your work is ready!
You will learn so much more about art and design, while also acquiring the skills you need for a specific creative career path!
So grateful to have as my professor, I learned so much more about the principles of art and design; I am acquiring new skills I will need for my creative career path as well!
Professor Haddad is absolutely amazing. He is one of the most caring professors, if not the most, that I have ever had. He is incredibly patient with each student, and his passion and insight is incredible for any project. He regularly checks in on students' emotional health and grades appropriately. His class is full of passion and I would retake!
Professor Haddad gave strong lectures in ART140. The class was very laid back and included many lectures. Haddad encouraged students strongly to explore art in the outside world and this class was very modern and with the times of learning art.
Professor Haddad was very engaged in ART150. He spent time with each student and gave individualized feedback.
He was a very thoughtful and caring professor. It matters to be interactive in class and put in extra effort to have relationships with your professors. He was always kind and understanding and gave good critics.
Professor Haddad is one of my favorite faculty members! I had Haddad for ART 110 (Digital Arts) and he continues to push me as an artist, student, and person while giving strong feedback. During my interview Professor Haddad helped facilitate a thought provoking conversation, helped me feel welcomed, and is an excellent example of professionalism!
Professor Haddad is one of the most encouraging and engaging professors at UT. He is welcoming and supportive while pushing students to be their very very best.
Professor Haddad is absolutely wonderful- he is an engaged and supportive professor while still pushing students to be their best and requiring that we put in the hard work. He cares for his students deeply and is a professor that I would take again in a heartbeat.
Josh is an amazing professor who clearly cares about his students. In ART299, Josh was extremely accessible and great with communication which made the class a much more pleasant experience. Would recommend him 100%!
Professor Haddad is an inspiring and patient professor. He makes sure to help each student develop their project and is always open to speak to groups and individuals about how to improve their work!
Professor Haddad and Modder were great instructors i learned a lot from ART150 in terms of digital art and am grateful to have the exposure in adobe suite!
Mr. Haddad takes personal care in each of his students and their work. he provides extensive feedback and spends lots of time with each student to ensure they do their best in the course.
Professor Haddad is one of the best professors I have interacted with throughout my college career. He offers detailed, personal feedback, is easily accessible outside of class, and motivates students to perform to the best of their ability. He values hard work and effort, so as long as you bring your A-game, you'll be all set!
Professor Haddad is a great Professor! You can tell he genuinely cares about each of his students and wants you to learn. He gives great feedback and I feel like I got a lot out of his classes!
Amazing Professor! Cares very much about his students and gives great feedback on assignments. I feel like I have learned a lot from this course, would 100% recommend!
Professor Haddad and Professor Modder are great! This class was a great intro to creative technology and working digitally, everything was very step by step and they were always open to help you along the way. 100% Recommend!
