Take this class!! Professor Kimber is the best instructor I have ever encountered. He has a passion for education and philosophy. Lots of extra credit opportunities; fair, material-based tests and quizzes; FUN (yes, fun) homework; a group project and a paper. I enjoyed this class so much that I was reluctant to leave on the final day.

This teacher was awesome! He was very helpful. Lots of extra credit, probably every week. He gives homework everyweek and questions that are very similar to the test. Take this class! He gives one group project. I got an A, very easy class if your study.

just finished the semester with prof.Kimber. he is a great professor, i plan to take him for ethics soon. he makes going to class enjoyable, & u can tell he loves what he does & breaks down the material for everyone to understand there was 1 "major" paper and two group projects which were not hard at all. hw & quizzes. read the stuff & u'll do fine

Professor Kimber is a really sweet guy. The class is easy but since it is a writing class there are a lot of assignments: quizzes and homework due almost every class meeting, and it helps to do the prep question for each reading assignment. The midterm and finals are easy and there is one writing assignment (essay). It is a lot but it's easy.

love him. easy A give u the questions on the mini quizzes which u get everyday, final and midterm. all u have to do is write an essay. cant getany easy.love his piercing blue eyes too lol

Fantastic Teacher he is fun, involved, and the class discussions are always interesting. He is funny and dorky. Heck even the textbook for his class is cheap and great. Kimber made me love philosophy and now I'm doing a dual major in philosophy. I even got my girlfriend to do the class. If you want to get a humanity out of the way take this class.

Took him for summer..passionate teacher,a little strange but he knows what he is talkig about.Class input matters the most to him,seems like you can never be wrong.you have mini-quizzes every class meeting, read your book & youll do fine. You have one 5 page essay due, but its nothing to bite your nails about. passed with an A, highly recommended

He is great.He gives you a review for every quizzes which help a lot. If you put the work, you'll see the rewards. the only thing don't take his class thinking you'll leave early for he can talk.if you have him for 5 hours, he will keep you until past the last minute of the class.Beside that,it's a great class.

He is an overall great teacher. NOt alot of work is done in class but just discussions which really get interesting. My God. My final is in 2 days and I am actually enjoying the studying for it. This class is not about an easy A, although it is pretty easy. It is about the knowledge you will get and how enriching the experience will be. He is the sweetest man who just wants to open your minds up. It truly would be your loss. Very good professor, you can tell that he loves to teach. Makes philosophy very entertaining. There are some boring classes especially if you are taking it once a week for four hours like I did, but this is a great class for just about anyone. One five page paper, two "group inquires" HW every class and a final and midterm. All very easy. Take Him!

Professor Kimber is one of my favorite professors here at BC. He is very passionate in Philosophy and Ethics, and it shows. He can teach for hours and is very clear and cool during his lectures. Overall, the class was easy, but you have to pay attention and study. I passed with an A, and I leaned to like and understand Philosophy because of him.

Incredible. He is the most understanding and enthusiastic professor I've ever had. Biomedical ethics has never seemed more interesting. TAKE HIM. Not only is he an easy grader, but he sincerely takes the time to invest in his students' questions and thoughts. He's great online; I can only imagine in person!

This guy's articulation is nothing short of INCREDIBLE!He is extremely CLEAR and can put words together insanely well. You will never see him use the word 'like' or he will never say 'umm' I wish I spoke more like him. He should teach speech!

He is a great teacher. He gives examples after examples so that you can understand as clearly as possible. The class is generally an easy class. Professor Kimber is really nice and very helpful if you're having trouble understanding a concept. He emails you the EXACT questions that he puts on the test! If you have trouble retaining what you read in the textbook, skim for his questions and you'll know what you need to! He covers everything in class, too!

I had no prior interested in Philosophy before taking this class. Prof. Kimber makes it easy to understand. He is very easy to talk to. Homework and mini quizzes help you keep up with the class. I got a B in the class and know I could have definitely tried harder. I highly recommend this teacher. He's not bad to look at either =)

Kimber is such a nice dude! He gives a lot of HW that requires writing and mini-quizzes, but both are easy. Lectures can get a tiiiiny bit boring but overall Kimber kept me engaged.

Very knowledgeable!! Soft spoken but when he speaks you wanna listen. Save all MQ to study for exams and do the prep for MQ. You will learn to ask questions in life... This is a game changer. even better if it's paired with AMH2010 &SYG2000. The lessons tend to mirror each course although the classes are different. Pretty kool when it happened..

Prof. Kimber, what can I say? He's amazing! I selected this man as my professor during the winter term of 2012 and the class was for two hours. Prof. Kimber made this class very interesting and it was very obvious that he loved his position and most importantly wants to make certain his students pass. He does give alot of HW, but you learn alot!

Never felt like there was a teacher worth writing about but Prof. Kimber changed my mind. THIS TEACHER IS AMAZING! You don't need to take notes if you pay attention. Does give a lot of homework but its worth it. This teacher is passionate about what he does and will ALWAYS explain anything you don't understand. He's very patient IMO take him !!!

Kimber is an intelligent, passionate professor; he loves to teach. He gave a lot of homework but that's what makes up your grade. You're going to need the book. Philosophy was a class I had no interest in whatsoever, that's what impacted my grade. Getting that out of the way, Kimber is a great professor. He WILL talk your ears off, but I never paid attention. You don't HAVE to read the book to do his assignments and mini-quizzes. Skimming through will suffice and Google for the quizzes. Pf. Kimber is hands down one of the best in the business. I had his session 2 course so there was plenty of HW and Quizzes in one week. There is a paper and group interaction. A short mid-term and he did a creative assignment as our final. I would suggest him over and over to everyone. He's an easy grader and is understanding. Take him!!!

Kimber is a great teacher, one of the best college proffessors i've had so far. He's very easy to understand, always available to help, soft spoken guy, but very passionate about his teaching and it makes you interested; great overall guy. if you have the opportunity to take him, do it.

It's no wonder that Josh has such a great rating here, he has a love of wisdom and shows it. He is very helpful, very fun, explains things to the point of no confusion, and if you're lucky you'll see him walk into a wall or tear up a book. The classroom discussions are definitely eye opening, and the daily quiz is mostly easy if you read the book.

I had an amazing semester w this professor. if you're looking for a class where you can broaden your thinking of life and have fun, this is it. he's a great and when I mean great, a GREAT professor, filled with knowledge, loves what he does and makes the lessons fun! the work isn't hard as long as you read and commit to the assignments. The final is take home. It was a blended course, so he would assign quizzes online and have quizzes in class the next day. There is a ton of reading but great lectures.

THIS GUY IS AWESOME! Every class you take a quiz that is on the reading but the quiz is IDENTICAL to the one you have to take online, and you can draw something on the back for extra credit. Homework is completion and he exlains everything thoroughly. Amazing teacher, extra credit kept me at a 98% all semester. Highly reccomended. Cheap book too.

An easy going professor who will provide you with every opportunity to do well in the class. His essay, mid term, and final were not difficult in the sense you might assume, they were engaging and thought provoking. His lectures are entertaining and easy to understand. This professor has actually changed me as a person and how I view the world!

At first I felt that the work he gives is a bit overwhelming, but if you want to pass, obviously you'll do it. Professor is tough, but he cares about his students, discussions are cool. Would recommend and would take again.

He is awesome but gives a lot of homework. Wish he gave us less homework so we could focus more on each of them. I would be fine if I had only his class but I had more than one. I felt so stress with his class, not with him but with his assignments.

Soo much HW! If this was the only class I was taking then it wouldn't be so bad but this is not the case. Especially when you're uninterested in the subject. He is amazing but the HW is not. You always have to explain why, then elaborate more on the "why", then give more detail about the elaboration on why, justify why, DUDE IT NEVER ENDS TRUST ME!

One of the best teacher I've had at BC. I am currently taking him and have a week and a half left and I enjoyed the class overall. He gives a lot of homework but it is self explanatory and gave me an A for just completing it. Very understanding and you can tell he is passionate about Philosophy.

He is so passionate about what he teaches and he makes the class so much fun! there is a lot of reading and homework that has to be done, but the homework is easy to complete. There is a small quiz every class, but he gives you a "practice quiz" the night before with the same exact questions as the quiz

Took Kimber for Intro to Phil Honors and wow, what a ride. This guy is REALLY passionate about what he teaches and makes the class super enjoyable. There is A LOT to read and it can get confusing but just keep up and ask questions and you'll pass for sure.

I love Professor Kimber! Honestly one of my favorite professors at Broward College! He is extremely passionate about teaching and his lectures are captivating. There is an extremely heavy workload but I think it maybe because I was taking a 6-week course. There are mini quizzes online and in person every clas. He is lenient with late work!

He/s an amazing inspirational professor who really cares about his students. The class is super easy but the homework is kinda annoying. You really have to read the whole chapter of the book to answer the 3-4 pages of homework that you get. He's very lenient and a great guy, he's the reason why im interested in philosophy now! Highly recommend.

I love this man with all my heart. Homework every week but is super willing to extend the deadline. He's really funny and very. Just when I thought it would be impossible I got an A! Even when you think it's too late to turn in work, just turn it in.

This professor was amazing! Inspirational, helpful, caring, entertaining.... I can't say enough good things about him. I started this class knowing absolutely nothing about philosophy or ethics. Now, not only do I feel confident in the subject, but I can see how it will help me with critical thinking skills I will need going into my nursing major.

Kimber is a great professor, very lenient with the homework, provide ton of extra credit, I took him for a short period of time so the homework will be whole lot. It's easy but annoying at the same time so if you one of those students do not like homework DO NOT DO IT but if you can handle couple hw and not procrastinate than take him. Easy Class.

Professor Kimber was the most passionate teacher I've ever had. Every lecture was so enjoyable because he loved what he was teaching and he truly understood it. He engages very well with his students and has his students work with one another to understand different opinions and feelings. I was always comfortable to ask questions. TAKE HIM!

So, he is a passionate professor, his lectures are interesting, however, he gives to many hw ... For each classes you will have 2 tests, one online, one in class, a set of hw questions, and during the semester 2 exams, an essay, and a group project. I spend more of my time working on his class that on my other classes.

if your not going to do your homework this isn't a good class. its easy and you can write anything for the homework and one essay and you'll get an A. quiz every other class or so make sure you study and there are quizzes online every other class too. TAKE HIM!! if you put some work in.

Easy professor. Very Understanding. A lot of work, in a short amount of time. If you keep up, turn in all assignments on time and pay attention and participate in class I don't see how you can get lower than a B+ in this class. I don't know anything on Philosophy and I'm passing the class. You can too.

Outstanding course as long as you read and understand the material. He gives plenty of homework, and all quizzes in class are for extra credit. This was easily one of my most favorite courses and professors ever. This guy really cares about his students and the subject. It was an 8 week class so it went by fast, but he gives many opportunities.

Well, let me tell you all about how great this class was. I took the 6-week Intro To Ethics course and it was great. Professor Kimber is an excellent professor and he cares a lot about his students. Although, the homework assignments were very long, you will leave his course with a lot of knowledge. Take him. You wont regret it. Easy A.

Prof. Kimber is amazinggg! He is so, so sweet. It's interesting to listen to his lectures. He cares SO much about his students. Offers a lot of extra credit. The only thing I found annoying about his class was the homework. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!!! It's very easy, but requires so much time to complete them. I loved him though. Easy and fun class.

Ive taken ethics and philosophy with him and both times were great, he's so full of knowledge and constantly pushes your thinking. He gives you so many opportunities to bring up your grade, if you don't pass its bcus you didn't show up. 1 5pg paper due towards the middle but he gives you time to do it. lots of time consuming hw but easy. Take him!

Professor Kimber is truly a rare breed. He is knowledgeable and well-versed, he is compassionate and charismatic, and he is interactive and understanding. Easy clas but you must be ready to read,all the long long hws are based on the chapters of the book. He's so caring about students &amp; gives extra credit, he's flexible with due dates and grades. Group projects and an essay but it's all about critical thinking

Words cant desceibe how nice and caring this professor is. I took him for an 8 week class and I couldnt have been happier. I missed a few days and he was very understanding.i did very well on the quizzes because the homework he gives is exactly what will be in the quiz. TAKE HIM. You will learn and never forget. :)

Honestly one of the nicest professors out there. Very caring and understanding and SUPER lenient with work. I took a 6 week class and we had quizzes due every class and even had in class quizzes as well. Be aware that if you do take a shorter class it will be a lot work that's due sooner.

Professor Kimber is by far the best professor that I've taken so far! I took this class as session 2, best idea ever! The class was very engaging and amazing, the homework is really understanding, he give prep questions for the quiz which is a study guide for the midterm. It was really a sad thing to leave his class at the end of the semester.

Really Really nice Teacher but be aware of the quiz you have one in each class. So there a quiz online and in class. The homework is extremely long and annoying but easy. You need the book to answer them but I recommend you buying a use one online for $10. Dont expect to leave early in his class he use 100% of his class time to talk & talk & talk.

Prof Kimber is great! He really makes sure you understand what is discussed in lecture. The homework is a struggle, it really makes you think! There are online quizzes and in class quizzes. The homework prep is VERY helpful when it comes to the quizzes and homework!

He is very passionate about what he does and he really tries to make everyone understand the concept. He is very kind and gives a lot of extra credit. BUT he does give a lot of HW, and long lectures. The HW is a good 2-3 pages long, and theyre easy to do if you show up to class regularly. His quizzes and mid term/ final are an EASY A.

Prof. Kimber is a really guy even though he can stand there talk for 3 hours and 50 minutes straight during class is crazy, but the class was fun and he loves teaching Philosophy just take him you won't regret it just a lot of homework, quizzes are online, mini quizzes in class, midterm, final and a 1500 word paper.

One of the best professors Ive had so far! The content of the class was a little difficult but he does a great job at lecturing and ensuring you understand. His lectures are very laid back. One of the nicest professors that gives a ton of extra credit. Just show up to class and do the homework and youll be fine.

there a lot of assignments in class but everything is in the book. I took him in a session 4 so everything is fasted but easy to learn. He's flexible on due dates and there is group projects which is participating and talking about the tpoic giving. There is a writen midterm and final plus 7 mini quizzes to due but he's a great professor

He is great! really loved him. he gives awesome lectures that are super interesting and you can tell the whole class is super interested in what he's talking about. there is a lot of homework and there's a pop quiz in every class. its still a pretty easy class and you can definitely pass if you just show up, read, and do the work.

Class decisions lasts the whole class time. Lectured/talked about topics that were in homework. Do the assignments, put effort and you will pass. great professor to take!

How this professor doesn't have 100% is beyond me. This prof is THE BEST. Hands down. You have to read a lot in philosophy, it's just the nature of the beast, but really it is enjoyable work and easy. There's lots of homeowrk, but hardly any tests/quizs. No heavy exams. The class is more about exploring philosophy rather than the technicalities.

He does require a lot of reading because he will like you to read ahead to take a pop quiz so you can understand the lectures a little better. I like how he engage all of his students to make learning fun. He really did tried his best to make sure we learn and pass.

Professor Kimber was amazing and so sweet he does give quite a bit of homework but he gives you good feedback on the grades he gives. The lectures are interesting a gets everyone engaged. I'm so sad that this semester and our time with him is over. If i get the chance to have him as a lecturer again, I'm taking it in a heartbeat!

Professor Kimber is awesome! Get ready to do assignments because its ALOT!!!!!! 7 HWs, midterm take-home, final take-home, group project, writing activity, &amp; 7 mini-quizzes. The homework takes most of your time and you'll feel discourage and start to procrastinate but its worth it in the end because the homework is worth 50% of your overall grade.

Loved him. He really got us thinking and he LOVES what he does. He is very passionate and made us really question the way we think and the foundations of what we believe. He works with students, and takes late work.

TAKE THIS CLASS. If you want an interesting and easy A take it. This class really picks your brain and really gets you thinking. I also think I loved this class more because as a professor he loves what he does and it shows. I'll start by saying, Prof. Kimber is a great professor and is very passionate about philosophy, he made me become more conscious of my surrounds and have an appreciation for philosophy. With that being said, you're forewarned that this class is not easy. Be prepared to learn, because it's time to bring out the reading glasses, you'll need them.

For the first time, heading back to campus. I felt excited and Professor Kimber was welcoming and his lectures and homework make you think a lot so you can look into things deeper for your understanding. Best prof I've had. Caring, always gives feedback. Fair amount of hw each week for a sess2, but I managed my time wisely and always finished hw's on time. If you do the prep q's you'll be fine with the rest. It's ethics so you infer your own knowledge. Classes are reviews for units instead of lectures being first. Syllabus is your bff to keep track

Great professor, really cares about his students. There are 2 exams and mini quizzes on each chapter. The homeworks are a bit heavy but they help you the day of lecture. He does get off topic and its critical you read the book to get a better understanding. Theres also a writing assignment to be done. He gives GREAT feedback which I enjoy.

Very kindhearted and passionate about philosophy! The homework assignments are tedious and classes could get boring at times since it is very lecture heavy. There is one group project and he always encourages you to talk to your peers at the beginning of class about the current lesson. Did a great job as a professor and highly recommend :)

I took his classes(intro to philosophy and ethics) over the summer and didn't regret any of it. He got me interested in philosophy. He did what other professors failed to do and that was to get me curious to learn more. I would recommend classes lectured by him any day of the week, but be prepared to spend some time completing his assignments.

Homework is long, but decently easy. Even if you cannot finish your homework on time, he's very lenient and gives to the end of semester to finish it. Make sure to submit his midterm and final on time. He's interactive with his students and incorporates the content of the class into games and group discussions. Great professor, great person.

Best professor at BC. Took this class during session 2 of the summer . There was a decent amount of work due every week since it was only a 6 week class, however , this professor made everything very easy and accessible. He is also very lenient with late work as well. Professor Kimber makes this class engaging with his passion and sense of humor. The workload is manageable if you stay on top of the assignments. Unstuck ai and the free textbook are helpful study tools alongside the lectures.

I thought this class was going to be boring but I was completely wrong. He's lectures are fascinating and he makes it interactive which was awesome. The only downside is that his hw can be tedious and long but he isn't critical when grading. Even if you think his class will be boring I bet you'd enjoy having discussions with him.

Great professor. You can tell he loves philosophy, and that's why he's teaching it. There's a lot of homework due weekly, though, and they're easy but super tedious, so keep that in mind. The sweetest professor ever. Very smiley, always nice, builds the curriculum based on what the students want. Loved his butterfly and bird pictures! The only thing is that it's very heavy on homework. Easy to get an A, though, as long as you complete it.

If u take any class in the field of Philosophy, take him! He is SO devoted to his subject & wants to see EVERY student succeed! His homework is due before every class, & his lectures are very well done and helpful, especially for a subject that is mainly questions. Def take his class at a time where your brain is running though, go ready to think!!

He gives good amounts of extra credit and for the midterm/final, most of the questions were part of a take-home packet, so you could go at your own pace.
