Good teacher. Can get a little off topic. Tests aren't bad if you show up and take really good notes.
Dr. Levin is one of the most inspiring teachers I have come arcoss in my entire educational life. He has a love for what he is teaching and he genuinely cares for his students well- being. I have taken almost every class he has taught.
I disliked his class, he had favorites. information was good, but i would have chosen a different professor. if you take notes you'll do well on the tests.
This teacher is amazing! He takes the time to make sure everyone understands and he's cute! Take any class he teaches they are guaranteed to expand your mind!!!
Great teacher! I can actually *learn* in his class!
One of the most interesting people i have every met. I think he should teach philosophy.

Great professor!
He was a very good teacher! Out of my two years of attending CCSN, he was the best. He isn't easy, but he lets you take the tests over the computer with classmates if you like, so it isn't too bad. I definitely reccomend him!
One of the best professors on the west coast!! Joshua has an amazing way to teach on the level of his students while still maintaing a professional manner. If you have the chance to partake in his class than do it!
i took him 2 years ago and i STILL think he was the worst professor i've ever had. he had a TON of favorites and held it against you if you said you disagreed with him. ew
i recommend this guy...he is a good teacher.
Dr. Levin know his stuff. He is a great prof. He recognizes the level of effort you are willing to put into his class & rewards that effort accordingly. His examples are great & very modern even in terms of anthro. Sure, he's easy on the eyes, but that's not why his class is so great. Take it & you'll see.
This man will change your life. He is by far the best teacher I have ever had. He has made a huge impact on my life. He has encouraged me to challenge my beliefs and back them up. This class is an inspiration, and I looked foward to going to it each week.
Expect to work in Anth 102. It is extremely interesting and Dr. Levin will make you think. He is also supportive and thoughtful in his approach. Excellent teacher.
I took this class and passed. The way you get your grade is by making sure he knows who you are. The QUIET people get bad grades, the people who he knows get good grades. Talk to him on the side intelligently. If you play baseball thats a bonus.
Absolutely astounding. Don't miss him. If you take one of his classes you'll take his others (Even if you don't need 'em).
I took this class 2 years ago and to this day, Dr. Levin is still my hero. I wish he would teach at UNLV so I could take more of his classes. Just participate in class, it will make him happy
very opinionated.. to get a good grade you need to see it his way
Ok, I signed up for his online summer course and OMG! He only had three tests, 5 chapters worth of information on one test and it was just way too much information to handle. I agree with students that he's a really good professor, but steer clear of his summer online. I signed up for him again for the fall....IN CLASS.
Dr. Levin is truley a students professor, I took his 2006 Summer class online and if you have any questions about his class or the material he is very good about responding and helping you to understand the subject. But do not underestimate him he expects a lot from his students and grades according to their class efforts. He is both knowledgeabl
He inspired me to be an Anth major. He is so kind, so knowledgable, so peace loving. Just a great person. Great teacher also. Always willing to help if a student doesn't understand. Great notes! Loved his class. Would recommend for anyone who is interested in Anth. You won't be dissappointed with Levin.
I took his Gender Cross Cultural class a couple years ago. It was an eye opening class, and he was such a great teacher! The material was a little hard to get through, but as long as you showed interest, he was willing to help you understand. Excellent!
greatttt great professor. I have never see a teacher who love teaching as much as he do. In very class meeting u will learn a lot of new things, not only for anthropology but for your every day life as well. Highely recommended not only for athn major but for all majors, even if anthopolgy is not your major, take this class and you will not regret
DO NOT take on-line class! Way to much work and he kind expects you to just know things. When it comes to the tests there is no real clear study guide, your just supposed to read and somehow know things!
One of the most amazing people I have ever met. The drum class is like nothing I have ever experienced. There were many times I couldn't believe I was in a college class. It pushes you to your limit and forces you to get out of your box. There is some writing required, which takes some effort, but it is fun and inlightening. Two thumbs up! A must.
WORTH THE EFFORT!! Like any "real" college class, there is a lot of required reading/studying. Prof. Levin provides detailed study guides and supplimental notes. Watch the videos, they will be on the tests. It is all facinating. He is ALWAYS willing to discuss material and answer questions. He does expect a lot, but hey... this is college!
Don't waste your time taking his class if you don't truly want to be there. If you want to put in the effort, it will be one of the best classes you ever take. Prof. Levin is passionate about what he does. He loves his career, the material he is teaching and his students. By no means are any of his classes "easy". Be prepaired to work and speak up.
Dr. Levin is really a very helpful professor. He loves teaching. It's his passion!!! He's really knowledgable and he wants his students to leave the class with satisfaction. He wants every student to succeed in life. A very supportive professor. I highly recommend him =)
Great online class.
If you've ever wanted to be challenged, then Dr. Levin's classes are it. His classes are hard, his grading is tough but you come out the other side having so much more knowledge about the world and your own self! Truly a great challenge!
ANTH. 101 WAS AN AMAZING CLASS, SUBSEQUENTLY I DECIDED TO TAKE HIS DRUM CLASS (THIS IS WHEN THE CLASS WAS FIRST INTRODUCED) BUT THE REQUIRMENTS SUCH AS 6 ESSAYS FOR A CLASS THAT NOBODY NEEDED TO TAKE WAS OUTRAGEOUS. HOWEVER INFORMATIVE THE CLASS WAS IT WAS ULTIMATLEY A SADDENING EXPERIENCE, HE NEEDS TO HEED HIS OWN ADVICE ABOUT LEARNING AND GROWTH.
I have taken Dr. Levin's 101 and 102 courses (both online). He is very realistic about requirements, but the material is really interesting. The classes aren't about memorization and as long as you understand/know the material, you should be fine. He is an intriguing person- I would definitely take more of his courses if they were online.
I found Dr. Levin's class very inspiring. There is a lot of work involved such as reading articles and writing outlines. And of course there is learning to play drums! Dr. Levin is very up front in the first class about the amount of time needed to do well. If you can devote that time it is really worth it! You won't regret it. I didn't.
Don't take his 6 week online courses... unless you don't have a life. Not worth the time or money. I tried really hard and got harsh comments on my optional essays in return. Ended up dropping the class. 3 tests... each 33% of your grade. If you fail one there is no recovering.
I took 'Intro to Physical Anthropology' in the intensive 6 week format. Dr. Levin is very upfront in warning that you will need to study several hours per day to do well. This is the reality of the subject material, not the fault of Dr. Levin. If you are in it to LEARN, then he will help you do just that. Great course and instructor.
This guy was the end of my gpa's life. Take his stuff way to seriosly and expects way too much. I took the 6 week online course and totally regret doing so.
His drum class is absolutely incredible. You will learn about yourself and feel great when you leave the class. Attendance is mandatory and participation as well. Best elective i have taken yet!!
Dr. Levin is the best professor/instructor I have ever had. He makes you want to come to class everyday. The lectures are extremely important, as are the readings. This class is not a breeze. However, if you go to class everyday, read the books and articles you will do fine. I recommend doing the optional extra credit to boost your grade.
Inspiring, I never missed class and looked forward to every meeting. Tons of information, our classes went by really fast, lots of food for thought. High recommendation!!!
I took the 8 week online course, it was great. If you want to learn, take this class. PLEASE know it is not an easy class, these are not free credits! Even if you're not interested in the subject, you will be! Dr. Levin was great. He responded to questions quickly, and was very professional. He offers great insight regarding the Anthropology.
Very intense course. He is very upfront about the intensity and fast pace. If you have a hard time to keep up with study time in a regular class this is not for you. Discussion groups are great, he gives lots of feedback to students posts and responses
Dr. Levin tries to scare you off, and he does demand a great deal from you, however, he offers a tremendous amount of extra credit and the exams are very fair and only cover exactly what he told you they would. If you are serious you can't help but get an A, if not DO NOT take this class. I was surprised to have enjoyed it as much as i did
Dr. Levin is a model instructor. His comments and feedback were always thought- provoking, respectful, and timely. The class was extremely personable well-prepared with resources, and Dr. Levin was an active presence the entire class time, despite it having been online. I never felt confused or ignored, like I have with other online courses.
I'll say right off - I got a C in his class. I have nobody to blame but myself, though, and despite this unimpressive yield I still believe this man to be an absolutely amazing professor. He leaves a very lasting impression on you, and I don't believe I'll encounter a similar professor ever again. Commit to the class, don't make my mistake.
Do not take this class if you work/go to school full time. This class needs ALL your attention in order to suceed. Heed his warnings. You will have to read the ENTIRE book cover to cover and take extensive notes. be prepared to think about nothing but Anthropology.
I wouldnt say that this class was easy,it was always a lot of information to be taken in every session, but what i really like about this class was his passion for teaching the class. The discussions that are discussed in class are very interesting, and valuable.it realy makes you look at life differently.if you want a teacher who cares choose levin
I took this class because I signed up late for classes. I would not recommend this class to any right-winged or conservative people. Levin is a very left-winged socialistic person. He forced his opinion onto everyone in the class. He is very condescending to those who think differently than him. I felt like he was trying to brainwash everyone
Extremely kind and an overall wonderful instructor!
BEST TEACHER EVER.. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF U DONT TAKE HIS CLASS. ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.WE NEED MORE PROFESSORS LIKE HIM. HIS CLASSES MIGHT BE TOUGH BUT HE IS WILLING TO HELP OUT.. HE MAKE SURE HIS STUDENTS ACTUALLY LEARN AND INCLUDES EVERYONE.. TAKE HIS CLASS ONLY IF YOU WANT TO LEARN AND U WILL DO FINE! BEST PROFESSOR!
8 week online course - Very difficult. Requires that you read the whole book. He is very helpful in learning, if you ask questions. The work load is not unfair because it helps you learn. Very good teacher and informative about current social and cultural issues. Take this class if you want to learn. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU ARE LAZY!!
Go to class everyday, sit up front, and take notes, study and you'll get an A. Best teacher I've had!
This instructor challenges the student to excel in a compressed course. It is reading intensive but totally worth the effort. I love this subject thanks to this professor.
Very interesting professor. He makes you think. Learned a lot about myself and life. You must go to class EVERYDAY, study for all quizes, and all tests, and read all of the material he asks you too. Class was really hard. Do not underestimate the amount of time you need to spend in this class!! Very liberal thinking. Nice guy.
It's a pretty obvious sign this is a unique teacher when you see he has over 50 reviews. He is probably the most inspiring person I have ever met and I think I am a better person for taking his class. It's teachers like this that give me faith in the education system.
This was not an easy class in the compressed formay, but by far my favorite. A lot of videos to watch plus reading and assignments. Prof Levin was super helpful and I'm glad I took his class.
I loved this teacher. He was very cool and down to earth. Actually made us learn the subject and understand. Made me learn about other cultures and just life in general. He is very spiritual and eccentric so no cellphones. He will call you out if you have one or if you're late sometimes, but overall great teacher.
3 exams, 3 quizzes/written responses, 3 essays. Take many DETAILED notes. I worked very hard in this class, and while I got above a C, it was not the grade I expected. Take him seriously when he says it is difficult. However, I am a better person for taking him. I am more competent, open minded, and a better student.
the professor is so kind and informative. he tests and grades fairly. a lot is covered but don't be afraid to ask questions he is willing to explain anything you don't understand. lectures were always interesting and thought provoking, overall an inspiring class.
This professor is extremely demanding in his hopes that you will completely understand what you are reading. This is not a class to take lightly, but at the end of the day, you feel better about yourself if you continue to the end of the course. I enjoyed this class but it will challenge your study skills.
I took this class as an 8 week online course. He warns that you must be dedicated to pass. We had to read the whole book, do 3 key terms worksheets, 3 discussion posts (essays), and 3 exams. It was highly interesting and thought provoking. He was quick to reply to questions and post grades. I received an A+. A great teacher if you want to learn.
I've taken many online classes before and probably learned the most in this class. Yes, you HAVE to read the textbook front to back to even make the minimal requirements for a C. Instructor was extremely helpful but expects a lot from your work. I?m glad I took this class because actually LEARNED the course material. Great instructor great class!
He gives a clear, concise description of what is needed at the outset. If you do not do well, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
I took the online class... Big mistake! This teacher required that you read the entire book from cover to cover. I wasted my time studying the book and the "key terms and ideas" because the test has nothing to do with what was highlighted. I struggled to get the big "F" that I received. Total waste!
Dr. Levin Is one of the best most knowledgeable professors in his field. His complete passion for the subject left me in awe, and not a religious awe. Anyone wanting to grow in anthropology should take his class, very well taught. Lots of great discussion. REAL WORK. This class, (his class) should be mandatory for everyone!!!
Tough class. I tried to be on top of everything ended up with a 75. I recommend you do the key terms each unit.
The class is hard. I suggest doing to key terms for each unit, you also have to watch a bunch of videos and remember everything. Very hard tests, I did all the work and got a B-. I don't really suggest just because of all the work, but you read the whole book.
Great Teacher
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Levin. I took his online Anthropology 101 class, and I was blown away. In a good way! It's an intensive course, requiring a lot of work and thought, but it's fascinating material, and c'mon people, we're in college! College is supposed to be challenging.
I took Dr. Levin's online Cultural Anthropology course. At first, it may seem daunting, looking at all of the needed work in such a short period of time. In the end, this professor is more than just a teacher, he is a well of wisdom and knowledge. The course is intense, but the rewards are great. I highly recommend this professor!
Professor Levin is a very engaging instructor. He really makes you think and hungry for more knowledge. You can't leave his class each session without questioning the "status quo" of culture. I expected to be bored and found this to be one of my best classes. You want to experience Dr. Levin's class during your college career at least once.
Take the class! it provides the space for you to grow, it inspires playfulness and creativity... very insightful, you will discover a lot about yourself by drumming;) and through others. it's fun! definitely an experience...
Dr Levin is a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend taking his class. He requires that you think and truly apply the knowledge that you learn. The class changed my life and my thinking in many ways.
awesome.
6wk class. divided into 3 units, each had 1 exam (~50–55 ?s), 1 post (no replies!), 1 vocab & 1 optional EC. Exams are 88% of final grade, posts 9%, vocab 3%. EC are worth add'l 2% ea. Textbook is optional. Answers ?s within a few hours, requires quality work but grades fairly. AWESOME prof. Will definitely take again.
This class was HARD! Prof is excellent, provides feedback and truly, TRULY wants you to learn by increasing your ability to think critically. 6 wk online, 3 tests (88%of grade) 3 posts, definitions and offers XC. If you want a good grade you have to do the XC. I am an A student, this is the most time consuming and difficult class, but worth it!
If you're expecting an easy class this is not for you. Don't take the 6/8 wk class - lots of information to process: 3 exams, 400-word posts, 3 key terms lists w/up to 80 terms ea, videos, etc. You better do them too if you want to pass! Great prof who will help and is FAIR. Quick responses and I learned alot. Take the reg semester tho!
Fair instructor, always gave quick feedback. A LOT of work, but if you do it you will pass the class and if you're reasonably intelligent you will excel. I didn't use the textbook at all and did well, most of the material came from the links he gives online.
If you are considering taking Dr. Levin's Anthropology class. DO NOT underestimate the amount of effort and time you will have to put into the class. He is very helpful, always e-mailing tips to the class on how to complete assignments, including exams. However, he expects a lot, so be careful you do not find yourself overwhelmed like I did.
Do NOT take this class if you think it's going to be easy - it isn't. Aside from your in class discussions, and textbook reading you will have 1-4 hours of videos to watch every week. Ask him a question? He'll respond with "That's a good question, I challenge you to find the answer yourself."
interesting discussions and he has a great way of getting his points across but very difficult class. you must be present and don't count on getting out of class early - wont happen! he's a great teacher but be prepared to work for a decent grade
Tough class, high work load. Videos/Reading materials. Need netflix. Bi-weekly art projects along with the notes from the materials watched/read. A research paper takes place of midterm and a smaller paper takes place of final. Video of yourself needed along with art project. Fun class.
I read the textbook front to back AND online resources & movies. I didn't do any assignments but I scored very well on all tests and got an A. The hardest I've worked for an A. He is passionate and a great professor. Every kind of student has the opportunity to succeed in his class, regardless of your strengths, but you will truly have to earn it.
Discussion posts, a lot of videos that are hours long to watch, and a test that was pretty hard to me. Did not do very well in this class, and did not learn much.
Greatest inspiration of a teacher of the master of practice and the fruit of what you put forth in education. There isn't a trial through study I do not go back and think to Dr.J to preserve through it. You will be doing yourself an injustice by not attending his courses in your academic career . Good luck and get your practices on .
To be honest, this was the greatest teacher I have ever took in college. I did not just learn a lot about anthropology and actual culture learnings but his teaching also taught me so much about life and inspired me to be successful in life and he opened my eyes and brain to things I didnt even know. I recommend this class to literally everyone.
Dr. Levin is the best professor I'd have. He is so passionate without anthropology and will praise any bit of work you do. Not taking this class is an injustice to yourself, as he has changed my life and I'm sure many others.
Dr. Levin is an amazing person and a superb teacher with a real passion for his subject. He focuses on the big picture, presenting the subject in a relevant and meaningful way. If you want to succeed, you must attend every class and keep meticulous notes. Also, be sure to watch ALL the assigned media. Not the easiest class, but VERY rewarding.
Dr. J presents an awesome course that will intrigue you and take you places (globally, through time, all the while expanding your consciousness). He's engaged & supportive--you will be challenged. If you're a wimp, don't enroll; you need to commit time to study interesting lectures, reading & media.
Not as hard as everyone says if you do the reading and videos and what not. The is A LOT of reading and notes though, so expect to give this class a lot of your time. The subject is easy to get into, I found it all really interesting and the reading went by fast because of that.
He is a great teacher. One of the best I have ever taken. He is SO passionate about his subject which makes a huge difference. I never opened my textbook but I took detailed notes and watched every video which really helped me get an A in that class. Take him.
he just goes on and on about nothing it seemed like. Others think hes a fantastic teacher and highly recommend him but if youre like me and like to know what you HAVE to take notes on versus what you THINK would be beneficial then find someone else. You have to go to all of his classes or youll be lost and even then good luck.
DO NOT TAKE! I was super interested in ANTH before taking this class now it makes me want to throw a rock at something. It seems like his class is more psychology/philosophy than it is anthropology. Didnt actually get to anything anth related til the final weeks of class. DO NOT TAKE! Not worth it, waste of time.
Such a life changing course for sure.I'd take it over and over again. Its so refreshing to have a professor that loves this subject and goes out of his way to make sure you understand it.He even prepares slideshows and videos for you.Make sure you do the work though and go to class. All of the information is there for you to pass.Just have to do it!
A great professor indeed. This is a very involved course which requires you to study and take notes on what he says, not just copy down what's on a PowerPoint. He brings in thought-provoking ideas, encourages student participation, and keeps the class fun/interesting. This is not a class for an easy A, it requires good notes and studying.
He is really knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Reading assignments, taking notes, and watching all videos are crucial to doing well in this class. Overall very interesting material, but alot of information to process. You really have to be on top of your work to do well.
He didn't have much homework, mostly just reading a chapter or watching videos. When it was time for one of the 3 examsessaysquizzes it was all due at once and was overwhelming. A lot of the information you have to work out yourself to understand. He gives you the tools but won't spell out definitions, meanings, or examples.
You really have to work for your grade by taking good notes and watching the videos he assigns each week. He is very passionate about the subject and can make any topic interesting. His class changed my viewpoint on life, so do yourself a favor and take it. You will not, however, need to buy the textbook or the "How to get good grades in college".
Really passionate about what he teaches and makes boring topics fun and interesting to everyone. If you want an easy class, do not take this course because it requires a lot of studying. If you want to learn and end the semester with insight, take this class, you will love it! Was a hard class for more but I'm so glad I took this class.
I would not recommend this class to anyone. I took his online class and it was terrible. If you ask for help, be prepared to be criticized for even asking. I got nothing out of this class but a headache. SO much busy work it is ridiculous. Take a different professor. He is rude and opinionated (not in a good way).
Prof. Levin has so far been the best teacher I've taken. Lectures are interesting, he's very respectful, and gives clear and concise instructions for work. The class is not super easy though, if you want a good grade, review the lecture notes. Also, you get 2 absences or you will tank your grade. He's a super interesting teacher; take his class.
Professor Levin is amazing. BUT, If you are looking for an easy A, this isn't the class for you. He is very specific and you MUST know all the terminology for the tests. If its not 100% right, your grade will reflect that. His lectures are really great and if you want to get something out of this class, definitely take him. He's really funny.
If you are a bad test taker good luck! He assigns exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds for his normal tests and even less for the extra credit quizzes. You also have to read A LOT, and expect emails at weird times like 1:30 in the morning (lol). Other than that he is very nice and to say he knows his field would be an understatement.
By no means an easy class, but if you read the book, and especially Dr. Levin's supplemental reading, you will have everything you need to pass the quizzes. The quizzes are not hard as long as you have read the required material. Also, there are several videos to watch for each quiz, so make sure you take the time to watch them. Great class!
Love his lectures. he's very passionate about what he does and it reflects in his lectures. His test are not easy, and some questions are worded to trick you. Don't take if you're looking for an easy class, but you'll learn a lot from his lectures if you do what is asked.
Literally the worst teacher ever. Such a hippie and the hardest grader ever. He basically gives you work like his class is the only one that matters. Not an easy A. If you want an easy A, take CONQUEST.
Do NOT take if you're looking for an easy class. Im very dedicated to school and thought that even though people said you had to work for your grade I could handle it. I was so wrong. I can't handle the difficulty of this class. You have to study every aching moment if you want a good grade. I swear you should take Conquest for an easy A in anthro.
I took this class hoping to get AB but it was hard. A lot of reading and a lot of side work to do. Expect to spend 5 day out of the week at least if you want to pass with an "A". Tests are every other week and after two tests, a extra credit test will be given. 35-40 questions each test and what really threw me off was the final exam are 2 essays!
Dr. Levin's own written material is some of the most clear-cut, enlightening course material I have ever read. You will need efficient study practices to pass, and Dr. Levin provided useful tips for study. This class can be very inspiring, but you definitely need to earn your grade. Tests can be confusing, but he will generally compensate.
Really hard class but I learned so much from it! I'm really glad I ended up taking his class, his extra material was amazing. The videos/documentaries were extremely interesting. Not easy, but worth it.
If you have other classes that take up a lot of your time I do not recommend this class. It contains only tests and requires A LOT of reading, watching LONG videos, and you do not get much time to complete your test.
Professor Levin is a really awesome teacher, and the course is very inspiring. I could easily say it has changed me as a person and my perspective on things. It's a lot of reading, and I mean A LOT, but it's so worth it. As long as you read thoroughly, you'll do well on tests. Interesting videos, and the extra credit quizzes are awesome!
I took Dr. Levin three years ago and to this day, I credit him for changing my life. I am a different person because of his class. Totally mind-blowing if you open yourself up to it. It's a hard class because it's super unique, unlike anything else I've ever taken. There's a lot of work, but it all leads to huge personal growth! Grow with him!
Anthropology 101 was a very interesting course! He requires a lot of reading! In my 12 week course we had to read 100 pages from a dense textbook and watch some interesting videos. Most of the exams are multiple choice and a two page essay at the end talking about key points you want to take away from the class.
I loved this class! I had zero interest coming in. I had taken this class before, and hated it. It was completely boring. I just couldny get into it. I dropped it, and choose this one instead. It was so much better! He makes it super interesting. Theres a ton of reading!
I really enjoyed taking this class this semester. Professor Levin is very helpful and will remind you to ensure that you are attending and understanding the material. I appreciated his willingness to see that I was trying.
This class was amazing! It was online but I can only imagine how much more interesting it would be in person. Dr Levin is a great person and I learned a lot. Be prepared to study and read a lot. There are a lot of terms! Definitely my favorite class this semester
I really enjoyed reading the textbook (you'll need it) but the tests for the chapters were very hard. He is very nice and easy to like but study his key terms, watch the videos and you'll pass. Take notes from the book (you'll need to). Other than that, the class has fascinating information about life which is what I loved the most.
This professor has high expectations for a 101 starting class, grading system is brutal with quizzes being 75% of your overall grade, all of them being cumulative, with questions ranging from actual anthropology subjects, to hypothetical questions and fill in the blanks that do not cover the material that you go over. Horrible professor overall.
Took course online he is no help you teach self by basically reading book cover to cover watch long online videos you will pass. LOTS OF READING, DONT MISS A THING NO MAKE UP 3 papers towards end of course. don't ask questions he says read he wont answer what he calls stupid questions and he posts in open forum that your question is stupid. AVOID
Tons of reading and lectures in order to pass the exams
NO CLASS WORK, ONLY TIMED TESTS. TOO MUCH MATERIAL TO COVER TO FOCUS ON WHAT WILL BE ON THE TEST. THERE IS THE BOOK, THEN THERE IS MEDIA AND ARTICLES. SOME LINKS HE POSTS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NEWER SOFTWARE . ALL NOTES IN THE WORLD WILL NOT HELP YOU UNLESS YOU HAVE A PHENOMENAL MEMORY.
You do need the textbook, but his lectures are super interesting and you don't feel like you're missing out because its online and not in person. He is engaging and interesting and you can tell he is super passionate about anthropology. I wasn't sure about the subject at first but I learned so much from this class and it wasn't a chore to do.
It was absolutely a challenge to devote the time, effort, and care Dr. Levin asks of his students while juggling work/school; there were some weeks where I put 20-25 hours into this class! It was worth all the effort, though--he /truly/ cares about both the contents of his class, and his students. Highly recommend if you love art or spirituality!
4 week on-line course. This is NO EASY A. Take special note of bold passages in lecture. Bonus quiz points are given just in case students faced difficulty understanding the questions (which is beyond fair). Don't be afraid to email/ask him questions; He will respond/answer questions. Very passionate about subject and students. Gives Feedback
Awesome
I got an A in this class. It was 4 weeks and really busy. Expect a science class with college level vocabulary. Expect to think and write like a scientist who does not pick a favorite culture. Expect that your classmates might get overexcited in discussions. You get a few points of extra credit to help your quiz scores.
An amazing professor
He expects an insane amount of time to be devoted to his class. Over 100 pages of reading for each quiz plus key terms, articles and videos that are often over an hour long. The material isn't very hard to grasp, he just makes a mountain of work to go through in order for you to get all the information. Would be much better as in in person class.
I took the online 102 class for this professor but everything that I needed to pass this class was very clearly illustrated in his thought out study guides and articles that he gives to you in the beginning of class, Very test heavy though! with various amounts of ways to come back from a bad grade
Levin is a descent man and the work in the class is not too difficult as long as study hard! The tests make up a huge portion of the grade and there are assignments to do as well. Not a terrible class, but work needs to be put in to get a great score and he stresses that very much.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER the worst of the worst, it seems that his goal is to make you fail the course instead of helping you to learn. He gives a huge amount of material on top of the textbook Be prepared to spend all your time studying this class Final is an essay that is worth 60% of your grade. He is obsessive with plagiarism No citation option
Took the online class. Easy, good with communication, the power points and lectures were resourceful and simple to navigate. Would definitely take this class and this professor again.
Professor Levin is a very good Teacher you will work your mind too the limits in this course or his classes .Those that are majoring in Anthropology I recommend. This course and the professor.
He's tough and requires a lot of work, but he gives great feedback, encourages participation, and is very engaged in helping in whatever way you make known you need. Solid choice for a professor and a very good class.
Hands down best professor I have ever had.
Dr. Levin genuinely cares about each and every one of his students. He goes out of his way to be fair, and accessible to anyone needing help. The class is difficult; I put in more time here than any other class. Every minute was worth it! This class will challenge and ultimately change you. Teachers of this caliber are rare. Take this class!
If you want to take an exciting class with a professor who loves what he teaches, cares how you do, and whether you understand the material or not, I HIGHLY suggest it.
He is a professor who is really passionate about what he is teaching so therefore he cares. Amazing lectures, the only class that I havent felt like falling asleep in.
Professor Levin is very passionate about his work. If you are not looking for a class that is demanding, I highly recommend looking for a different professor. This class can be difficult if you do not put the work in. Otherwise, Professor Levin is a good professor.
This professor is really incredible! Would send the whole class a message to remind us to take a breather and that everything is okay. Just someone who really cares about the course and a student's well-being.
Dr. Levin's lectures are a little odd and there is a lot of time you need to spend in getting through the unit's syllabus but he is very responsive and wants you to learn. He answers emails quickly and if you put in the time learning the material it's a really an easy A.
There was a lot of content to review but that just made the class more exciting to take. I took the online class and I didn't expect to learn so much. But I really liked how Dr. Levin provides many sources so if you learn better by watching videos you have that option available or if you learn better by reading there is are articles as well.
Dr. Levin does an amazing job of creating an artful experience for anyone willing to delve into this eye opening course. This class is heavily based on Dr. Levin's power point lectures, and your ability to synthesize it. There are no test, but there at 7 art projects, 14 lengthy worksheets, and one final essay. Time consuming-- yes. Difficult-- eh.
I absolutely loved this professor! I had to withdraw from his course this past semester due to personal reasons but He's the 'Real Deal' Get ready to read!! Lots and lots of reading. The lectures are long but Amazing. Please don't take this course if you don't have the energy or time, you will need to work if you hope to pass- He's worth it!
This course is probably one of the most difficult I've taken however you can tell that Dr. Levin just wants excellence from his students. He truly cares. We got off to a rocky start because I was caught off guard by his level of expectation but he is a phenomenal professor to take. He does so much to help you learn the material and inspires.
Dr. Levin understands that this subject is not easy for most students. As a result, he provides many opportunities to assist with learning the material, so that a favorable grade is obtainable. I really appreciate how quick he responds to his emails. This professor is very active in providing ways to ensure that the students are successful.
Dr. Levin is an excellent online instructor. He gives you all the tools you need to do well in the class. You will definitely have to put in a lot of time and effort to actually study and review the materials, so if you're looking for an easy A this isn't it, but I found the class to be extremely interesting and really enjoyed it.
He is an absolute best teacher i have ever had
The amount of working given by this professor is astronomical. So many lectures and videos and reading. It is clear that he should only be teaching higher levels of this subject. I regretted not researching what kind of teacher he was before i took this course, although the reviews on this site do not in my opinion depict the type of teacher he is
Dr. Levin is overall a great instructor. The way he teaches is very critical and wants everyone to succeed. However, there is A LOT OF WORK to put into this class. There are lectures, videos, and book readings. I highly recommend taking notes and studying the quizzes ( there are 9 total quizzes and they are all cumulative).
I respect Mr. Levin. This is a hard class, he doesn't make it easy. It's interesting, but a lot of work if you are not in the science field. A lot of reading, 2-1 hour videos to watch per section, & you have to memorize a lot of terms, including spelling. He sticks to the syllabus. quizzes timed just short enough that you cant look anything up.
Professor Levin is the kind of teacher you will remember years down the road. His lectures are thought provoking and will open your mind to possibilities you thought were not even there. But be prepared to read and do the work.
Dr. Levin give extra credit but be ready to learn outside of class. He always want students to participate all through our class. Also make sure you review your notes and study for the test that he has.
Dr Levin is one of the best professors at CSN. He cares about his student to learn about the subject matter. He is very passionate and energetic of what he does. He is a good motivator and would give his students an honest feedback in every discussion. Be prepare to work hard because it wasnt an easy class. He wants all his students to succeed.
I enrolled in his 4 week class, read through the syllabus and dropped immediately. Dr. Levin seems like a fantastic professor dedicated to student learning and understanding. He's thorough about his expectations. However, if you have outside responsibilities that keep you from studying, good luck trying to pass.
Very clear and organized!!!!. TONS of reading must be done each week in order to comprehend and do well on the quiz/test but the subject is really interesting! He is very specific on grading criteria and all of the info you need is provided. Book REQ! Be disciplined in your studies, and you WILL pass <3 I would take this professor again!!
I took the online 4 week course and I honestly loved it! Before every test he makes sure to remind his students and is very clear on what is required. He always gives out a generous amount of extra credit with is AMAZING! Although there was a lot of reading, inquizitive is really great in making sure you understood the chapters clearly
DO NOT take if you're a full time student & work full time. Beware to anyone graduating w/ this field. He sadly took all the joy out of learning; the amount of material you have to read & memorize is impossible. This is coming from A/B student who's responsible. I plan to retake w/ diff Prof so to learn what I've read because it is good material.
If you don't know how to be diligent and commit to a study schedule for this class, you won't get the grade you want! There is a ton of dense reading to get through. I needed to take notes and reflect on the ideas in order to rly conceptualize/comprehend them. You have to watch a lot of documentaries, too. Its all interesting and relevant stuff!!
Great professor, would take this class again in a heartbeat!
Prof. Levin is very passionate about the subject which translated even through the online course, but it really is not an easy class at all. I found myself overwhelmed with all of the required textbook reading, but I suppose that's expected in any online course. Self-discipline and responsibility is an absolute requirement to pass this class.
Awesome teacher, super passionate about what he teaches and makes everything super easy to understand, and the BEST extra credit ever offered, just show up
Very hard professor. He was amazing though. If you want to actually learn something and remember it, he is perfect. There is alot reading and lectures. Attendance is not mandatory but you get a butt load of extra credit for showing at the end of the semester which brought me up an entire letter grade.
He needs to approve the way he responds to all students. Students dont like to even post because of it, most are not engaging but with exception of a few. We want to learn, but his learning environment is a very negative one. He polices students more than helps them. The tests are to trick you but not see if you actually get it. Wont recommend.
It's a real tough course. The time given is not enough. He wants you to watch videos and then questions that are meant to see if you writing the videos down per word for word. It's very frustrating to all students. It takes away from actually wanting to learn in the enviroment
Not inspirational at all. Very discouraging learning environment. No engagement from other classmates. Tests are meant to confuse you more. Just upset at myself for not investing his unreasonable requirements
Test Heavy
The tests are so difficult. Not enough time to recheck before submission. The expectations are too high for an intro course.
Very Test HEAVY so far. There are questions in one question itself, the quizzes with multiple answers are only a point each. Meaning you are answering 6 in 1 0r 8 in 1. When you answer one wrong within, it's divides into that one point. it takes too long to go through each question and you don't have time to review all your questions at the end.
I really enjoy the knowledge and textbook but I don't like the way he tests. The tests are to separate the mediocre from exceptional; curious how many are easily discourage from this testing tactic. There is no benefit for students in this field when that environment is created. Passion to learn is gone. How many didn't see it through??How many?
Too many trick questions for an educator. Among key findings educators should never include trick questions or offer "all of the above" or "none of the above" options among the list of possible answers. He needs to read the Butler's study, published in the September issue of Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition. Time to evolve
I really wish I would've had the choice of having this professor in an in classroom setting. I feel like it would have been so interesting! In this class there is a lot of reading but this professor also gives a lot of room for extra credit. If you read his Unit materials, watch the videos, go over key terms and do your reading-you'll be fine!
My perspective of a successful learning experience is how much impact the course has contributed to my personal improvement and gratification. Dr. Levin's teaching style has help me to fill a gap in my learning style. The course material is very difficult like learning a new language, Italian. A major complaint is the textbook some what confusing.
He is very nice, but the class is difficult to the point where it wasn't fun after a while. There's up to 90 or so pages of difficult text book reading on top of hours of videos, as well as extra required reading. The tests need way more time, and are hard even if I've spent about 3 to 4 hours a day preparing for it.
Not going to lie, it is a lot of work. However, professor Levin provides MANY resources to help you along the way. This was an online class so I didn't meet him in person, but he seems super cool, nice, and very passionate and knowledgeable about the topic. I think people that have given bad reviews got a bad grade due to lack of studying.
This class isn't easy by any means but it is a highly rewarding class if that's what you are looking for. Professor Levin gives a lot of material, but it is very diverse multi-media material. This class requires you to be self-disciplined, have excellent time management, be highly organized, highly focused, and passionate!
This class was hard, but Dr. Levin is positive, easy to get in touch with, & I learned a TON. Follow the study guides, pay attention to ALL the required info for each test, and do the extra credit - there's a lot available and you'll need it. Be ready to work for a good grade, but it's very rewarding in the end. I really enjoyed this class.
This professor is great! He really cares about his students not just about their grade, but their well being. Hes passionate about what he teaches. Book is recommended, extra credit is offered, grade based on only quizzes.
Great class! Very easy to get a good grade if you do all the work and read all the material at your disposal. Would definitely take the class again.
This class requires A LOT of studying. It's definitely not an easy class, but Professor Levin is very clear about that right in the beginning. If you're just looking for a class to pass easily, this isn't the class for you. If you actually want to learn and understand anthropology, this class is amazing.
He makes you work for your grade. As long as you stay on top of it and follow the advice given on the FIRST day, you WILL pass! His lectures are amazing! You do have to do your reading but it'll only help you succeed even more.
I think he was a great teacher and it was such an interesting class! Tests were hard but he gives you 2 tries and its open book open note. Gives a lot of extra credit for just showing up to class (12% I believe) Definitely need to put in the work but an A is so achievable! lecture/info heavy if ur interested in it it will not disappoint!
Dr. Levin is one of the most energetic people I've ever met. His class is full of surprises, none of which I'll ruin for you in this review but I would definitely take this class again or a class like this that Dr. Levin teaches due to the care he puts into his students and the fact that he truly loves what he does and it shows in his lectures
Professor Levin was great! You will not regret taking this class. Studying and reading is not optional to earn a decent grade in this class, he definitely challenges you to be your best!
It's the tests that are horrible but the materials are good resources
There is something wrong with his testing, for sure. He won't hear it. Good luck in this course.
I was misled by the positive reviews. Its not for everyone.
Gives you timed quizzes in which you are given less than one minute to read and answer the question. Information from the lectures is not the same information given in the book. Incredibly harsh grader. The extra credit requires too much work when you can only earn a maximum of 3%.
this professor sets up the student with everything that he possibly can to help them pass the class. He is quick to respond and is always willing to help!
The class is challenging, a lot of reading and watching over 2-3 hours worth of videos are involved but if you study the key ideas given, you can pass. Also do the extra credit, its easy points and takes 30min tops to complete each one. Be prepared to write a takeaway "paragraph" as well (they are really just essays) for each unit.
Hes really helpful in providing the material you need for all tests, there are a total of 6 tests and your grade is mostly based on that and 3 essays. if you dont like to spend hours reading and studying every night for one class, dont take this class. hes very specific from the beginning that this is a HIGH maintenance class! can be difficult
This class was hard, I am not going to lie. However, Dr. Levin is very good about replying to emails quickly and explaining what is expected very throughly. There is a lot to read and study. Tests are hard but doable. You can tell from his announcements and work descriptions that he is very passionate about this class and wants you to succeed.
Professor Levin makes this class fun and he offers Extra Credit that is awesome. He is very good about reminders so you don't miss assignments. The professor supplies more than enough resources and info to study to maintain a passing grade. Great class! Awesome Professor!!
Professor Levin is very nice and cares a lot about his students. His class was a lot of work and the quizzes were difficult. But, he offers A LOT of extra credit... DO IT. It raises your final grade a whole letter grade. I got D's on all the quizzes and still got a 88% in the class. You do 3 paragraphs and peer reviews and they help your grade too.
Dr Levin was very specific in what is required from the beginning. If you do the work and put forth an effort you will succeed. If you half ass your take away papers you wont. Tests are very hard.
It you put forth the effort you will be rewarded with a good grade. There is lots of reading and information to digest.
Professor Levy was tough in terms of expecting you to stay on task and complete assignments in a timely manner and with adherence to requirements and structure. Professor Levy focuses heavily on making sure you understand the work and are not just regurgitating information to complete course work without comprehension. I greatly enjoyed this class
This class was all I could have expected from an online class. Its organized and easy to follow. I have a super busy schedule and I found that this class was easy to fit into just about any schedule. That said expect to read and watch the required material, and you will do fine in this class. PS.. do the extra credit it helps.... ALOT.
Do the extra credit they will help your grade in the end.
Very organized class, read everything carefully. The professor makes it very clear on the syllabus of what is there to expect and how you are graded. Lots of good helpful additional info on announcements and reminders. Honestly, great class I've taken but make sure to study. Take the extra credits, it makes a difference and it is worth it.
Dr. Levin's encouragement is very appreciated. He is approachable and helpful thru the semester. The complexity of the class demands a lot of reading, practicing, and resources available to facilitate and have a better understanding. The semester is very well scheduled. I appreciate the "to do" calendar, announces, and the feedback from Dr. Levin.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! Took his class as a requirement, did not know much about anthropology but he made it engaging and easy to understand. Gives lots of extra credit (DO IT!), gives great feedback, many reminders about due dates. Do the work, put in effort, do things as expected, and youll get good grades. Would take any class he offers for sure!
This class will challenge you and after a quick look at the syllabus, you'll have a real grasp of the Professor need from you to pass this class. However, it's very clear that he wants you to succeed, and pushes you in that direction. This class can change your life. This is the kind of professor that leaves a good impact on your character.
No late assignments accepted unless emergency not even
I would like to thank Dr . Levin for a great summer semester 2021. He allowed me to push myself and believe in myself. Something i have not been able to do. His class was at times hard, it required a ton of reading, additional resource, and supplemental video aids. All which allowed for a very informative semester. Takeaways were the best. thank u
Professor Levin was very clear on what's expected from you as a student. You will do a lot of reading so be prepared. Do not feel overwhelmed. Be prepared to share too! Don't miss any lectures, they are very intriguing and make the tests so much easier to take. Professor Levin made this class very enjoyable. Remember, work for your grade
I would def not recommend this professor AT ALL. His online class has really high expectations and he is a really tough grader. He is very understanding and open minded and listens if you think your grade is unfair. Make sure to do the extra credit it will help alot if you do not do good in the exams. If you want an easy A do not take this class!!
One of the best profs I've had! DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, BUMPED UP MY GRADE A LETTER. It's daunting at first, but his detailed instructions for everything are easy. Note-taking, outside media and studying are all needed to get a high grade. Don't expect a high grade with low effort. I struggled at times but so many resources are available to improve.
Thought this class was going to be difficult at first but I think he just likes to weed out the kids that don't want to try. His class isn't that complicated and you know what is expected of you from the beginning. He's always there to answer questions you might have. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he teaches and just wants ou to succeed.
Get ready to read a lot, this teacher has very high expectations so if you're looking for an easy "A" class this one is not for you.
I think I learned more in this class than any other class so far. You have to put in the work, but the knowledge you gain in Dr. Levin's class is very rewarding. The material is fascinating. Dr. Levin is a great teacher.
Dr. Levin was without a doubt, the best professor i have ever had. He is extremely intelligent and very thorough. He makes everything make sense and provides a lot of feedback. If i can say anything, do not take this course in a 4 wk fast track (which i did by accident). You will need to apply yourself 110%. Nonetheless, he is great. You rock sir.
I wouldn't say this class is an "easy" A, but an A is achievable if you do the work well. There is plenty of information that pertains to the course as well as supplemental material that is not required, but useful to have if you are an ANTH major. Mr. Levin is a great instructor who clearly cares about the success of his students.
The professor is great, he knows what he's doing. However, no matter how hard I tried to catch up on the overload work assignments,I was failing. You think that you just need to read on this class but there will be lots of videos and quizzes and tests.
Get ready to read a lot and watch hours of media for this course. The instructor gives a lot of feedback and info dumps. Sounds very annoyed with his students in messages sometimes. Hardest course I've taken so far.
Prof. Levin is passionate in his field of choice. You could easily skip the lectures that are 10% extra credit, but as someone who attended the majority of them, they're useful if the online content on its own isn't speaking to you. If you choose to skip out on the lectures, you can easily get a B with the online lectures if dedicated.
Levin is an AMAZING professor with valuable insight. Gives a lot of extra credit just for showing up to class. Reading the textbook/lectures is essential, can not pass just by going to the class.
The amount of material and rigor is unrealistic and not well organized. Grade is 100% based on tests, with bad test tactics and questions and not enough time given to take- all of which set students up to fail instead of succeed and learn. Feels like drinking from a fire hose instead of actual learning. Killed my interest in this class completely.
Attendance isn't mandatory, but missing 4 classes gets 10% chopped off your grade. Seems to think that not having something to say about everything means that you don't understand the content or that you aren't serious about your education. Tries to make his classrooms a safe community for students but isn't afraid to make you feel a little stupid.
Grades are based on quizzes & 4 inquiry assignments. They're hard at first because they're timed you have 1 minute per question. Lectures are interesting, attendance is not mandatory only if you want 10% extra credit. He cares about all his students and takes the time to understand question, statements, & opinions during lecture/discussions.
I felt his expectations from his students were a bit up there. The amount of reading that must be done every week was a bit much for me as a working person juggling other classes. Otherwise, he's worth taking if you want a fulfilling learning experience. He always encourages rich discussions in class so reading before class would be recommended.
You don't have to buy a textbook but Inquizitive xtra credit is $20. He includes slide lectures and video content which made the class very engaging, unlike most online classes. The tests aren't easy and many questions are outdated or phrased strangely. He responds quickly and is great to meet with to discuss test issues or course content. LOVED IT
I really didn't like this class in the beginning but started to love it a couple of weeks in. Dr. Levin is a great professor. More of a "I'll teach you how to fish not give you a fish" type a professor. Structures classes for students to ask questions about content or how life relates to it. You'll earn extra credit if you attend class regularly.
Thoroughly enjoyed this class! The professor was definitely passionate about what he was teaching and it was contagious. Attendance isn't mandatory and you get extra credit for going. Class is really not that difficult if you do all the readings. It's not a copy-paste class so you have to get a good grasp on the ideas that the materials present.
Wow amazing Professor
Took this course with my Bestie Boo, if you love to read and love knowledge. Say Yes! I have to agree one of the best Professors I had so far.
Dr. Levin has clear expectations. He gives you everything needed to pass his class. I had trouble reading the material and focusing, but he gives you a guide so I knew what to focus on and could at least locate the subject in the handout. I thought I was going to get a C but the extra credit boosted me to an A-! Do all the extra credit possible
Professor Levin is very smart and provides you with many tools and resources. However, his homework is all extra credit (not mandatory) and everything else consists of quizzes and tests. The quizzes/ tests are timed and give you less than 1 minute or barely 1 minute per question. The anxiety the quizzes and exams gave me was horrible. No retakes!
Professor Levin's class is challenging but rewarding. While the workload is heavy, he provides helpful resources like slide lectures and video content. Unstuckstudy AI was great for test prep. Overall, a worthwhile class.
His lectures are so unorganized and nothing he talks about in class matter for the homework or tests and attendance is mandatory. If you show up 1 minute late he'll be upset with you. He also always tells us to write notes but nothing he says is even worth writing down. Don't take this class unless it's you're only option.
One of the best professors I have ever had and haven't even met in person. You feel a warm welcome, motivation, and all the work needed plus a lot of guidance and genuine help.. you can tell he cares. I greatly appreciate good people and he is one of them!
Do ALL extra credit! It's a huge reading and note-taking class. Quizzes were timed, which was stressful at times. But again the extra credit is so important! He provides all instructions on the assignments and provides an open discussion area where you can talk to your class. Which did help me a lot because my class was amazing and helpful.
This man haunts my nightmares. I spent HOURS on an assignment that he gave me a zero for due to slightly incorrect formatting. His grading is insanely strict. He assigns hours and hours of videos that relate to 3 questions on the test. If you take this class, expect to read a lot, watch a lot of videos, and not have any slack in your performance.
Dr. Levin is a passionate anthropology professor, and it is clear how he structures his course. He provides clear study guides at the start of each module's assigned reading to guide your preparation for the tests, but you will struggle if you do not have the determination to LEARN, study, and do extra credit. Time management is key for his class.
I personally wouldn't take this class if you are just trying to get a credit for an unrelated degree. His class is a lot of studying and very quiz heavy, but manageable. One easy assignment every week, and 9 quizzes. There are also two inquiry projects that were the specific reason I rate so low. Directions are unclear and somewhat frustrating.
Dr. Levin is an incredibly passionate and wise anthropologist. 10% extra credit for attending every lecture (4 freebies), weekly critical thinking question, 9 modules with a cumulative quiz in each. Not exactly an easy class, but very transformative to one's worldview and interpretation of human history/society. Don't be intimidated, take him!
Really great professor. If you are going to take anthropology online, you should take it with him. Though his class is very self-paced when it comes to studying, he gives so many resources to look at and use if you are not understanding something. The extra credit in this class is amazing. It brought my grade from a B to an A by the end.
He wasn't by any means a horrible teacher he gave good feedback however his work is just so long and meticulous. If you miss a single step you fail the whole assignment. He makes this clear in his syllabus but I was not prepared for the amount of individual steps there was going to be. The work was frustrating and took forever!
Dr. Levin is without a doubt the best professor I've had in my collegiate career thus far. The class is tough because of the quantity of readings, but the guidelines for work are clear: if you read you will succeed. Lectures are optional, but are the best part. Attending his lectures will leave you inspired & with a deep appreciation of the world.
He may be better in person, but his online classes are rough. AI does all the work and grading and there are a lot of issues with the points given. A lot of reading and hour-long videos to watch on top of quizzes and contributing to definitions and discussions with a computer. Grades aren't registered in canvas, so you don't know your grade.
Alright professor, but prepare for quite a bit of reading and hw, such as a question, extra credit from W.W Norton, a couple of quizzes, and 2 inquries bascially where you'll use AI to solve an assignment. Interesting material to read, but it can be time-consuming, so don't procrastinate; stay on top of it.
Josh Levin is not a bad professor. However, he specializes in Educational Anthropology- It's ironic that he would know that AI is problematic in society, yet the Homework and Assignments are via LevityLearning, a AI site where you MUST speak with AI professor for a multitude of hours for credit. Highly disturbing and a cop-out for REAL assignments.
