awesome teacher! Mr Lewis is funny and makes the class enjoyable. he's always willing to help and will not continue to the following section untill everyone completely understands the current subject. he's the best math teacher ever i wish he tought all other math classes as well.

Cracks jokes all the time. Hilarious. Great professor who helps when you need help. Handles students who give him lip or attitude very well. Helped explain problems I've seen before in a new and easier way. If you do the homework, you'll more than likely pass with an A as he gives homework quizzes and he literally takes the problems from the book.

He's a great teacher. Lectures are clear and at the beginning of every lecture he asks the class if they had questions on the homework he assigned. Takes every question until everyone is settled. Homework isn't mandatory but you do take homework quizes every week. He's very laid back and helps students understand if they don't. I would recommend!

I had Prof. Lewis for Geometry in my sophomore year of high school, had him again on my freshman year at BC. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

Professor Lewis is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. He is an incredibly strong lecturer, funny, and a very fair man who always has the student's best interests at heart. I highly recommend him for any maths class especially calculus. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Took this professor two times already and I love him! He does assign lots of homework but you don't have to turn it in .. its just for your sake. AKA homework questions are going to be on the Exams. Overall really cool teacher, funny, cares about his students, everyone starts from somewhere.

The homework is fairly difficult but if you understand the homework you should do well on the exams.

He is a good professor an he would be happy to help you when you need it. However, if you are weak at algebra, this class will be hard. I had a really hard time with that class because I had a C in both beginning and intermediate algebra, so that's why I dropped the class and he said for me to refer back to Math B60 and B70. Be sure you know how to do the math problems and you'll do great.

I had hard time in his class. I'm horrible at math. He's a pretty good professor. During the time i took his class i had my own personal problems and i never did the homework (homework didn't have to be turned in) I know if the homework was required to be turned in i would have done better. My own fault not his.

Amazing math professor. Easy to understand and goes over everything slowly so everyone can understand. Very willing to help if you have trouble. I am the worst at math and I passed his class easily. Definitely to the hw and study though.

This was a hybrid class. Proffesor Lewis is amazing at his job. He went up and beyond to help us. He created PP presentations where he recorded himself going over the lectures. The class itself is challenging because of all the online HW. Had I taken the class with someone else, I would have failed the class. Great Professor.. time consuming class

Prof. Lewis is such a stud!!! I was very intimidated to take this class since it's a math class, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Do the HW, or you will be lost & will fall behind. He's funny & gives really great lectures. He is approachable & willing to help you. I would always go to his office for help & asked questions almost every day.

I took this course in summer for 6 weeks and it was extremely difficult, granted I've never been great in math. However, Prof. Lewis was ALWAYS caring, respectful, and kind. He would encourage us to ask question, attend tutoring (VERY HELPFUL) and do the optional homework (VERY HELPFUL). STUDYING+TUTORING+HOMEWORK+LABS PASSING GRADE.

Good looking!! I took summer b60 class and it's super fast paced! So be prepared if you think you're gunna take a summer class. He's super helpful and nice! Like any other professor it's hard to get the answer your looking for but he does his best. I wish I would have taken his class during a regular semester might have done better.

I've taken Prof Lewis twice, once during fall semester for b60 and during summer for stats. I'd definitely recommend him to students who struggle with math. Believe me when I say he is great at what he does. I went from C's in math classes to A's, even in courses I took with other professors. Try your hardest, go to tutoring, and you'll pass.

He made me love math and that's really hard to do. This guy knows how to break things down and is a totally cool guy. USE HIS OFFICE HOURS he is super helpful and understanding if you need to take a quiz early.

Professor Lewis is GREAT! There are three exams & a cumulative final. He gives quizzes weekly that come straight from the homework so I highly recommend you keep up on that- you can use your homework to copy down answers. Labs are given basically as a review before each exam. He drops your worst lab/quiz grade & even let us retake an exam!

Professor Lewis is extremely easy to understand when teaching, very caring & wants everyone to pass. He makes everything as simple as he can and you can go to him anytime for help. One of the best teachers ive ever had & I would recommend anyone to take his classes.

Hands down the BEST stats professor! I love that he has pre recorded his lectures and we have access to them 24/7. When I did not understand something i would just easily go back to the recorded lecture. It's just as if i were in class! I took this class for the summer and it really was not bad at all and i really feel i learned a lot.

I was apprehensive to take this as an online course over the summer, but I am glad I did so with professor Lewis. His video lectures are very clear, he gave study guides, and he was clear about expectations. He was also an incredibly fair and understanding grader. I highly recommend him.

I took Professor Lewis for B60/B70 and he was Amazing ! Gives handouts for every chapter, labs for points, HW quizzes that were easy, straight out of the book ! He uses real life examples to explain problems which is great ! 10-10 Really RECOMMEND. He also understands life happens and works with you to help you pass.

I really enjoyed Professor Lewis's class. I would totally recommend taking one of his classes. I took his b60/70 course but if I need to take any more math classes I'll for sure try to take one he's teaching. Homework is important and it's best to miss as little class as possible but he's really understanding if there's a reason you can't make it.

One of the best Math professors on campus. He grades you on three things: quizzes, labs, and exams. Do the optional homework and you'll be able to pass the quizzes and exams. He lets you group up for labs which are necessary cause they're tough. Only negative I have is that his final had too many time-consuming problems. Dropped my high B to a C.

His lectures are easy to understand and for those who don't understand, he will take time to explain further. I found it helpful that if you had a C in the class but when you took the final exam you got a B, he would make your overall grade a B. He also makes sure everyone knows about all resources there are to help with math.

great professor! the class is difficult because it's a difficult subject but Prof. Lewis is always there to help. he tries to make it as simple as possible. He gives very in-depth video lectures for each section so you can fully understand the subject matter. It's pretty important to do the homework or you won't fully grasp the concepts.

I was initially hesitant of taking an online math class, but Prof. Lewis made this class smooth. He provided us with lecture videos that I found both in-depth and entertaining. He was clear on his grading and was accommodating for meeting in-person when I needed help. He is by far the most responsive and caring online professor I have taken here.

Im not going to lie, this class is tough, but who expects college to be easy?! Lewis is a great teacher and yes hes tough, but he will also help you with anything you need. Stats is a hard course regardless but he makes it easier by being great. Im glad I took his class because he wants his students to succeed. Thank you professor Lewis.

Professor Lewis is an amazing professor. I was so nervous to take statistics online, but he made the material fun and easy to understand. Please note that statistics is a difficult course - you can't expect to pass if you don't listen to the lectures, take notes, read the textbook, and do the assigned homework. He responds quickly to emails!

Lewis is a very theoretical guy. His lectures can be hard to understand at the time, and with the higher levels of maths it can be difficult. But he cares about his students a whole lot and wants you to succeed at the end of the day. He is always there to help, even with "dumb" questions. Great professor and great course!

Professor Lewis is one of the most caring Calc Professors I have ever met. He truly cares for his students futures and his tests are not that difficult compared to other professors but of course you still need to study. Go to class, do the assigned HW, and the tests will be a breeze. He is such a kind soul and will make sure you understand the work

Im the WORST at math and I passed this class with a B! BEST math professor hands down, wish I could take him for B1B this semester. He lets you work in groups for the labs and will tell you what is expected on the test. Will answer ANY question you may have (About math) even if you think its dumb. Hw isnt mandatory but do it to get practice.

A great professor! Doesnt give homework but his exams are very similar to suggested homework problems he posts! I struggled with Calc 2 and he definitely helped me understand it.

His class is easy if you are willing to put in the effort. His teaching methods are great and he is there to help you when you need it. He cares about his students and wants them to do well in his class. His tests are a mixt of the labs, homework, and notes.

He has lecture videos to help understand more on the reading. He does allow retakes on the midterm. You do work on your own pace but overall he does get back to you and you really need to study for the quizzes and midterms. Hes a great professor you just need to meet him halfway

I thought the work load was easy enough to handle, his lecture videos are very well done and explain the material as if you were in a class setting. You need to do the work. Text book is 50/50 on usage. I would take him again in a class setting as well.

this man is a god! he's so understanding of covid situation and is super flexible to students. he makes calc 2 easier to learn than calc 1 and is just so kind. his exams are not hard at all, he tells you exactly whats on the exams. he does not grade harshly either. just do some hw probs and review labs and you should pass this class, no prob.

Im horrible at math, the last class I took was geometry in 2004! I struggled so much with this class. You have to do the homework to pass if you dont understand something get a tutor ASAP! We were able to retake all our midterms in the end but it was a rough class to get through. Hes funny though and I enjoyed the lectures.

He is a great professor. The only negative I can think of is that when he shows his work, sometimes he skips several steps because he is assuming you have a solid background in A2-trig-calc1. Regardless of the teacher calculus II is a tough subject and I had to work very hard to pull a B, but it was nice having Lewis teach it.

Lewis is a great professor to experience learning under as a STEM and especially Math major. He is obviously very knowledgeable and comfortable in his expertise and curriculum and is always willing to help and make sure students understood. His exams are fair and garner logical understanding of the subject. You get what you put in to the class.

Professor Lewis was one of the top Professors Ive had at Bakersfield College. His homework quizzes and exams are very reasonable. If you do the homework and review the labs, you will pass with a passing grade. He seems like he genuinely cares for his students and wants to see them succeed. Overall, it was a wonderful semester with Professor Lewis!

Professor Lewis is an amazing person. I had him for Calculus 2 and his class was very easy to understand. He grades based on what you know instead of having a correct answer. His is very lenient with his grading and he is awesome for that. I would definitely recommend him for anyone struggling with math.

This was my second attempt at Statistics after failing with a different professor in the 2020 Fall Semester. Professor Lewis is awesome. He lines out everything clearly and shows that he cares about his students. He helped me understand concepts that I was struggling with before I took him. He's also a funny and chill guy. Definitely recommend.

I took stats online with professor Lewis and it was pretty good. He provided informative lectures through YouTube, explaining everything well, and gave us excel calculators for quizzes and exams. He also grades generously which is helpful. Anyways, he's a good funny teacher and would take again.

Lectures were very informative and taught subjects well. Quizzes were weekly and homework was optional, meaning the workload, in my opinion, was relatively light. Excel calculators are provided, as well as a formula sheet, making the class very simple and easy, as long as one paid attention. I totally recommend this class to anyone considering it!

Good professor a little rude at times but overall willing to answer any question. Not the best emailer, only graded on 3 exams and 1 final all proctored but he will give excel calculators for them. Offers one exam retake & is a fair grader. Highly recommend doing the hmw it will help for the exams and ask questions! Have a study group if possible.

He was really nice I took Online IN SUMMER its not for the weak trust me. But if you do all your quizzes and Tests you'll be fine, has 3 big tests and allows you to retake one of them towards the end of the semester of your choosing. His online video lectures are SUPER good tbh and funny.

Lewis is not your typical online professor. He tries to connect with students through "weekly reflections" and has a set of very engaging lecture videos for students to watch instead of slogging through the textbook. Tests make up the majority of your grade: 3 midterms and a final, all proctored over Zoom. Practice tests prepare you well for them.

He's great, be picky about who you sit next to because you will have to work with them for the rest of the semester. He is super understanding and is willing to work with you for whatever. I swear he gets upset at obvious questions and that's valid asf. I have no complaints against this man, I hate math, and would still take anything he teaches.
