Josh is a great teacher. He obviously loves math and is really good. He is very clear and makes sure you completely understand what he has just explained. His h.w. is very few questions, but you have a quiz every week from a few of the h.w. questions from each of the 2 sections. I really liked him and so will you. He is quite entertaining as well.

He's an awesome teacher! He's very patient and is always willing to help! I would recommend taking any math class that he teaches!

martin is a fabulous teacher. young and laid back. loves math! 13 quizzes but they are from the hw he assigns. 3 test throughout the semester. always willing to help out his students. very easy class. dont pass on this professor!!!

Excellent math teacher! Extremely helpful! He explains everything clearly, and does examples that really help the students understand the lecture. Overall, it's an easy class with an great instructor! Highly recommended!

He makes math fun and keeps you entertained where most professors wouldn't. He also responds to emails same day, meets with you whenever it's scheduled, and even did exam study groups on Friday night for those of us that work. He is funny and interesting. All in all, I would definitely take his class again.

I will miss this professor after summer class ends! he's my favorite for the past two semester...if you're bad in math...he'll help you understand and he's just great all around...like everyone said...funny...nice..and hot! haha!

Josh is one of the best Math professors at CSN. He explains each concept so that everyone understands, goes over numerous examples & is a funny guy. You have a quiz every Thursday, 2 tests & a final. They aren't too hard as long as you study. He is willing to help if you ask. Oh and if you are a visual learner he uses different colors on the board.

Josh Martin is a very good math teacher. He will go out of his way to help you understand the matterial. If you need to be absent for a test or quiz he will prearrange for you to take it in the testing center. Math 126 covers a lot of subject matter and moves very fast, do not get behind or your grade will suffer.

I enjoyed this class a lot. He is really funny and connects well with college students. Very sarcastic, so hopefully you aren't too sensitive. I have learned more in this Math class than all others combined; definitely recommend.

Very easy to pass. His lectures are very organized you will not get lost. No textbook, all homework turned in online through "My Math Lab." "quizzes" every Monday which are only 2 questions like the homework assigned that week to make sure you know what you're doing. 4 tests; if you've been in class and took notes you should have no problem passing

He has been one of thE most helpfull teachers/professors I have EVER had. I have never been good at math, but force myself to understand and when I didnt understand he was ALWAYS there to help. His grading is VERy generous, and he's good peoplez. Deff recommend!!

I find the class pretty easy, if you attend the classes. HW done on MyMathLab, answers e-mails quickly.

He will most likely be the best teacher you will take in college. He is a young guy, about 27 years, and he is amazing at math. The only hard part of the class is the exams because there is a lot of material to be learned in 128, so one exam covers many different sections. He is very clear and very organized. If you fail, you honestly deserve too.

Mr. Martin is one of the best Math teachers in Las Vegas. He is very smart and breaks down difficult concepts and makes them easy to understand. He is willing to help and he really cares about his students. He is young and will do anything to help you!! Take him he is great!!

Man this guy is very outgoing. I was really struggling in math and he would go out of his way to help me especially when I visited him during his office hours. Josh is cool. If I every take 181, it's going to be with him. lol

Very nice guy. He will explain everything you don't understand. It's just this semester he changed his standards.On-line homework should be 90+% in order to take the quiz.A lot of questions to answer. Kinda challenging if you need to spend some time on other courses, and it will make you frustrated to keep up. But other than that he is awesome!

The best math professor & he's cute! I had him for 126 & got incredibly lucky to take his 181 class! I would have never understood calculus or even passed this class if it wasn't for him! He is extremely helpful & sets aside so many opportunities for everyone to meet him at his office or tutoring lab for help.

He's really good at explaining things and doesn't get mad when you go for him for help like some profesors. Do the homework, sample exams, and study!!!!! and you will pass. Also makes class fun, makes you actually want to learn.

Probably one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Has a very straight-forward and practical way of explaining things. Let's you know exactly what kind of problems will be highlighted on his tests. Makes class fun and doesn't concentrate on minutia. I'm disappointed I couldn't get him for 127.

The best professor you can ask for in math division; Josh is very clear, helpful, patient, and straight forward.

Nice guy (and cute!) and definitely makes himself available for extra help. You get out what you put in; not as easy as when i had him for 127. Definitely have to do the homework assignments in order to do well on the 12 quizzes given every other week on top of mid-term and Final. Makes you earn that A for sure!

Josh makes math very simple and crystal clear. Lectures are easy, but exams are hard (have to think outside the box), because he wants you to actually understand the concept, not just do the material like a robot.

Easy class and clear professor, I recommend that you don't buy the book, there are plenty of other resources available.Need to attend class for quizzes every week, but no attendance policy.

Josh is the best math professor I've ever had.I took his online class thinking that it's impossible to learn trigonometry online.But with Josh it was just amazing!He uploaded his in-class lectures and they were very clear and helpful.I never used a book.It is a lot of work(2 exams worth 80% of the grade),but if you want to know math, take him.

Josh over the semesters has seemed to hit a funk, yet he's always around to help his students in a bind. He doesn't help much outside his office hours anymore. Lectures are in laymen and very clear. I put myself out to take all his classes, he orchestrates his lectures so that he creates a comforting learning atmosphere for the math-frightened.

Josh is very kind, patient, and intelligent! Makes hard concepts easy, won't assign extra work. Lectures can be long, but aren't painful. Always there for questions, drops worst quiz grade, and adds humor to lectures. Would take him for every math class, hands down the best teacher in my college career. Was scared of pre-calc, Josh made it fun!

This man knows his stuff. No doubt about that. Homework is not mandatory, which is hood and bad. Good, because he assigns 1 million problems per section. Bad because you don't do it because its not mandatory. As I'm typing this I'm waiting to see if I passed. Needed 46% on final to pass and don't think I got it. Tests are VERY VERY HARD.

awesome, clear, and funny

Very easy class. Most of the teaching is done online and can be done at your own pace. Homework section is only practice. Practice tests, tests, and exams are the only things graded. Even better since we are given 3 attempts on tests to correct our mistakes. Showing up in person is optional for when you need better understanding of the material.

Josh Martin is a Calculus Demi-God. His theoretical conjectures are rivaled only by Issac Newton, Gottfried Leibniz and Bernhard Riemann themselves . His tests are hard but will leave you very prepared for calculus 2. Great teacher.

This professor is AWESOME. you have homework but without it, you won't understand the quiz, nor will you be able to take it. He explains so clearly, and is happy to explain any questions you may have. So happy I chose him. He has with you his students to make you enjoy being in his class. Take his class!!! Great professor - really knows his math! I haven't been doing so hot but just because I have a lot of other classes - nothing to do with him. He's there during office hours to help if you have additional questions and makes everything as simple as possible.

I did a hybrid class of his and you are able to take test three times. At the end of the semester he lets you go back and take the tests if you are not happy with your grade. His videos online are very clear and easy and homework is not due! which is a plus.

Prof. Martin made this class a breeze. His summer online course is as follows: Video Lectures, HW, Extra Optional HW, Quiz. There's also a midterm and final. He emails you back with thorough responses, and drops the 3 lowest quizzes, HW, and Video Lesson Grades. Try to stay ahead of schedule, it's fast and things are due on the weekend.

Great trig. professor! He is clear in his lessons with plenty of examples to get you started, but will make you earn a good grade if you are not too strong in math. He gives the fundamentals of the section, then you go home and try the math on your own. Questions will then be asked the following class meeting. Great teacher choice for 127

Great professor. Everything is specified and clear as can be. Online quiz every week and only four exams. One exam gets dropped at the end of semester. Has a good sense of humor so lecture isn't boring. Josh is really straightforward with the material and helps you understand it in the best way possible.

Josh was the best Math Prof. I've ever had. He taught everything in a straight-up/easy to understand way. He would stay after and help. He gives every opportunity for you to ask questions, during and after class. Also his wife will sometimes teach the class for him, and she is THE BEST EVER! I loved this class. One of my favorite math teachers. Free textbook, homework once a week, engaging lectures, doesn't mind fielding questions (as long as it's about math), cares about the subject and students. Also, huge bonus for those who care about theory - he covers it. His homework will make you think. Lectures were fun too.

Calculus is a tough concept, it is all about the teacher you have. And this one is AMAZING! First off, he uses a $15 textbook and not that mathlab access code robbery scam. Second, he will stay after class and help you AFTER EVERY CLASS! He gives you reviews. and is super fair. DO THE HOMEWORK! IT WILL SAVE YOU!
