Okay, This professor is HARD!!!! I studied my butt off for his exams, but could never get a A. He doesn't review, doesn't explain he is to fast & doesnt care about his students!! DONT TAKE THIS CLASS

It is more intersting to go to the dentist and have your teeth drilled than listen to him. He is so boring you cannot help going to sleep. His explinations for problems is not understandable and he really needs to learn how to engage the students more.

this guy is straight out of the book. he memorized it and does nothing but the book. the book is his life, so students either drop out or stick it out like me and get D's.

Let's just put it this way. Out of 40 professors that I took during my Bachelor's Degree stay at Pace University, this **** was only **** that failed me. Later on I passed this class as I took it again, but I believe that Pace makes a big mistake keeping this so called professor. HE SUCKS.

Possibly the worst teacher at Pace! Everyone in this class is failing- this should say something about the professor. Also, he would work out a problem and almost everytime, his answer would be different than the answer in the book and would not bother to explain or correct his mistakes. He is an unhappy, unenthusiastic man that needs be fired!

He comes in 10 minutes late, spews out some incomprehensible garbage, makes you feel like crap for asking a question, and leaves. His voice is monotone, he refuses to go over the BASICS, assuming you already know advanced concepts or that you remember that formula from high school, and is just an out of touch jackass all around.

Where do I begin? First of all he expected us to already have a book we didn't know we needed. He zips by each problem expecting you to understand it right away. Stress you to ask questions, but like everyone else says, makes you feel stupid when you do and when he does explain it again he just does the same exact thing and moves on.

Stands at the front of the class, solving the problems by himself as he rushes through them not explaining what he's doing and having a conversation with a chalkboard. Shows up late to classes half the time and bases your entire grade off of 2 exams and a final. No calculators in a prealgebra class on some of the exams, and doesn't explain anything

Extremely rude and arrogant teacher. Teaches to the blackboard and is rude when people ask him questions and ignores answering questions. Awful DO NOT TAKE HIM. Never checks homework, so no incentive to do it other than that the tests are from it.

The worst professor I've ever had. He teaches the board, and doesn't care about his students. Not helpful. We do half the problems in class and half for homework which he doesn't check. The test are homework problems. It's incredibly hard. He's arrogant. Do not take him. He needs to be fired.

This class was horrible. Be prepared to teach yourself. He talks to the board and has the messiest handwriting. Dont expect to be able to take notes. When you ask a question, he makes you sound like the stupidest person in the world. This was my mistake in my first ever semester as a freshman.

ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE!!!! Do not under any circumstances take this proffessor. I made the mistake of not dropping him and I'm doing absolutly horrible. The test are hard absolutly no curving. If you don't get the book you are screwed. No calculators alowed and don't expect him to actually teach anyone but the board. Please don't take him.

HORRIBLE. I failed the class after working so hard to pretty much teach myself calculus ... He shows no mercy or interest in the students. Do not ever take for anything.

WORST TEACHER EVER. I was an honor student my whole life & I never failed anything in my life & I failed the course. I spent seven hours in the tutoring center before the final & still failed. Its really a joke that he is even a professor in a University. He is not only an awful teacher; he has a horrendous grading policy & is incredibly rude.

Had to withdraw from his Calc 1 class. Absolutely no help. Lectures are pointless he does sample questions all class long but doesn't bother to stop and explain what he's doing. Avoid at all costs!

Professor Yarmish is not clear on what he expects. Assigns around 100 math hw problems but puts 5 or 15 on the exam. Is very rude to his students and does not offer reviews before each exam. Has 2 exams and a final. No way to bring ur grade up if you fail the first exam. DONT TAKE HIM!

DO NOT by any means take this class. If he is your only option, push the class off for another semester. He is very rude to students and could not care less about their success in his class. There are only two tests and the final. I got a 94 on my first test and did poor on the others and barely passed his class. I even went to tutoring. Terrible.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I failed & I've passed basic math (A-) at another university where credits didn't transfer as well as microeconomics (B).. He doesn't explain clearly, moves fast, doesn't let you use calculators, and he's rude! He also gives no supplemental materials and only gives 3 grades! 1 is the midterm and 1 is the final! STAY AWAY

Prof. Yarmish does not make passing easy. He doesn't do notes, only does problems from the homework. While this sounds okay, you don't actually get a chance to understand what he is doing. He does not explain anything well, and gets mad/frustrated when no one knows what is going on. His tests are impossible to ace, no matter how hard you study.

If you have taken the course before in high school or are great at math then you might not find this class much difficult, but for others it will be. He expects you to already know the math. The class is boring. All he does is write problems on the board and solve them by himself. There are only 3 exams. He is a horrible professor.

Took his class last year and received an F and I'm certainly not that type of student. Grading policy is extremely unfair, even if you do the work expect to receive maybe a C. Do not take.

I would avoid this professor overall. The class itself is easy if you teach yourself from the Book (or YouTube also). He is offended when questions are asked. Messes up his own equations and gets confused at times. "Talks to himself" rather than teaches to the class. No mandatory homework. Little class participation allowed. 3 tests. Xtra credit.

Worst professor you'll ever take. You won't learn anything, and will have to learn yourself on your own time. He gives test that are nothing like the reviews he does the day before the test. Please avoid him at all cost.

If you have no problem teaching yourself, this class should be fine for you. Otherwise, please do yourself a favor and don't take him unless you want to fail. He encourages students to ask questions but when they ask, he gives off the vibe of (and actually says) "you should already know this... otherwise, you shouldn't be here."

DON"T take this class a horrible professor. The syllabus and class notes are handwritten and you can't understand his handwriting. He assigns 3 exams and the study guide is different from the actual exam. He goes too fast and you need to teach yourself! He should not be teaching!

Literally do not ruin your life. I'm writing this while sitting in his class, confused as to why this professor teaches at Pace. His style of teaching makes no sense. He practically talks to himself while doing the homework problems on the board. You get A LOT of assigned work, and he does it all on the board. Doesn't even teach or have a lesson.

I had this professor for about a month or two this semester. He must've had a health problem because we had a replacement. Honestly one of THE WORST math educators I've ever had. He makes you do 200 math problems, collects them before every exam, and only grades 3 problems from the 200, usually all from the same chapter. Very rude & unapproachable

Shouldn't be teaching math anymore, or anything at all. Problems completely illegible on the chalkboard, making it impossible to follow what he's trying to show us. Responds negatively to asking questions and grades confusingly.

Seriously needs to retire, just a nuisance to any student who is unfortunate enough to take this course. Illegible notes, weak at lecturing online, confusing grading system, overall just not fit to teach. Avoid!

The professor was very rude. The class can not hear the students' questions, do not answer the students' questions. And the content can be learned from the book. There is no need for this professor. I'm really helpless. Not only that, there's a lot of homework

Avoid any class with him at all costs. Gives so much homework and grades 2 questions out of 200. If both of those questions are wrong but the rest are right, you get a 0. He doesn't respond to emails and gives really hard tests with no help. You literally have to teach yourself. The only good thing is that he gives review sheets before each test.

Will assign 10-20 HW problems per week and your entire HW grade is based on a small handful he chooses randomly. Boring class, boring lectures, does not really help student understanding. Tests are difficult. Be prepared to teach yourself.

Illegible notes and lecture recordings that could put you to sleep. His "lectures" are him stumbling to read his own notes for 2 hours. 80% of your grade is based on 3 exams which he does NOT give review sheets for. You are essentially paying to teach yourself from the textbook then take the exams. Avoid at all costs

Professor Yarmish should not be teaching. His lectures are just him reading his illegible notes, which he can't even read through. Had lectures at a given time slot even though the class was Asynchronous. Not willing to help students or answer questions. Beware of this professor at all costs. You will end up teaching yourself.

DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! YOU WILL REGRET IT..... He is one of the worst professors I've ever had and he does not care about his students at all. Avoid taking him at alllllll cost.

I would by no means ever take a course with him again. I can not stress that enough. He has terrible handwriting and still expects us to understand it when he posts his notes to Classes. He is older and it is very clear he does not care his students or how well they understand the material.
