What Students Say
“How to get A: don't read the textbook, print and red the reading guides for each chapter, take the Practice Tests under "Study Area" in Mastering Bio (it's where she gets her questions), go to every class and do the 80 HW points bc they boost your grade, go to the exam reviews and take notes on what you missed, and go to office hours”

This class is PAINFULLY easy. It gets pretty boring at times because hte information is so easy. She goes over everything about 3 times though, and her lab policy is really nice. Quizzes, but you never turn labs in.
Very easy class. Great at informing you on the semester's assignments and expectations. Labs are tedious but simple. She puts all her lectures online, but they're not very detailed, so just using them isn't a good idea if you want to get a good grade.
Clearly explains what you need to know. Tests are easy if you study, posts her own notes online but you still need to come to class. Do the labs, it is worth it!! Very helpful, straight-forward, easy to get an A with minimal effort, if you go to class.
Notes online, come to class and fill them out, labs due every week and lab quizzes, fair grader boring sometimes, gives extra credit. lots of grade, test are a little difficult, need to study for them. willing to help.
Although the course is not fun, Brookshire makes it fun. She's a really nice woman who really helps you out- she gives clear notes and a study guide before each test. Some labs are tricky, but she's pretty lenient. Just study for lab quizzes, and study the study guides before tests.
made this class a WHOLE lot easier compared to SCI 1101 (w/ Prof. Pratt-DONT TAKE HIM) just do all the work and attend class and its an EASY B. attendance not required but taking her notes makes it easier on test as opposed to just reading the book. there is a cumulative final however,

Very easy class if you attend lectures and study your notes. She posts all of her lecture notes, as well as study questions on-line. Goes over lab info in detail. Offers extra credit. Do the work(this is college after all) and you'll do fine. I really enjoyed her class.
I don't what everybody else is talking about, but the one I had Spring 2005, F mornings is NOT nice! Very unnaproachable- when to clarify a lab (that the student had completed), she told the student to go read it for themself. 99% of the students don't like her! Read this warning- NOT NICE!
This class was easy. Go to class and you should get an A.
For 1101 she was very difficult with quizzes and projects, my group was the only one to ask her a question about the project and we got a 60 on it because of the way she explained it. Both classes go to class and listen to lectures that's what's on the test you don't need the book but she was ok
She is not a friendly person at all. I went to every class and still made C's on the test. The lab quizzes are very hard. Don't take her if you have a choice of another teacher!
Her test come directly from the notes but so if you're there and you study, you should do ok but I still made B's in her class because she'll throw in stuff to throw you off. She also assigns projects and quizzes that really mess your grade up especially her labs in SCI 1101.
Come to class, take notes, do the labs and you should do well. She gives you the opportunity for 20 extra credit points and thy're easy points. (Who else does that?)You don't need the book at all. Tests are from lectures only so you need to show up. If you don't do the labs you might not do well on the lab quizzes.Nice and helpful.(Fri. 8 also.)
I attended every class and took good notes but still made a C. The tests are mostly from lecture but the questions are worded in a way that can easily confuse you. There are a lot of opportunities to get grades up and she offers extra credit. She doesn't take up labs but there are some not so fun quizzes. Be careful!
I strongly recommend doing the labs and showing up for each class. The tests can be a little tricky so study hard. It's pretty much an easy class, just do the labs, study for the tests and take advantage of the extra credit!
Lectures are boring, but she tries to be funny. Tests are worded very confusing so be careful. She doesn't require attendance but if you don't go to class you will not pass the tests- she does not use the textbook.
Want to get at least a B, take this class. I didnt study for 2 of her tests but went to most classes and still made a b. made high cs and b on the ones i didnt study for. She understands the meaning of a Gen Ed class. Labs are not required. thanks 4 that. PS IF URE READING THIS PLEASE WRITE ABT TEACHERS UVE HAD AND HELP OTHERS WHO NOW HAS HELPED U
I got stuck with her for both classes and I was not happy at all. Her tests come straight from her lectures which are boring and very long. Her test and labs are very hard. On my groups project we were the only group to ask her a question so she gave us a supposed clearer picture and then we were the only group to fail the project.
DO NOT TAKE THIS WOMEN!!!!!! She forgets things and treats her class like they are in middle school! She is a nice women, but she is strict in areas she should not be. Trust me don't take her class; if you do it will be a long semester!!!! and even longer lab! AVOID!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't like her class at all. She knows the materia and what she is talking aboutl, but she gets lost sometimes. She is kind of weird, and she talks to you like middle schoolers. Classes were VERY long and boring, but they are powerpoints. Tests were somewhat hard, you definitely need to go to class. if you can, avoid her.
She was kind of strange most of the time. It is kind of hard to tell what she is going to have on the tests, so study everything. For the final, definitely go over your old tests, b/c it is comprehensive. All in all, though... not too horrible, but try Simpson if he is still teaching.
Brookshire is a hippy, but her class is really easy. Read the book, learn the terms, and you'll ace the class. The test comes from the lectures which are straight from the book. So you can sleep during class and read the book, or pay attention in class and never open the book. Either way you'll ace it.
Awful! Tests were extremely hard. Her notes were not good, you had to memorize the book. A lot of useless activities. Not very personable, sort of fake. There are so many grades in the class that at the end it's impossible to improve your grade. AVOID!
This class is not the easiest. Her tests are pretty tricky and her lectures are BORING!! Lab is enjoyable, but the class really gets you down. Make sure you know quiz dates and dates to turn in homework, if you're late to class, the homework is late. Be prepared to spend a lot late nights studying.
what a nitemare! totally crazy! sure she knows her stuff but she forgets everything! real batty!tests are super hard.and my god are her lectures boring! i agree with the previous post that i think shes kinda fake.
She wasn't that bad. Tests were quite difficult since it comes from the book. Do not depend on just her notes. She did crack a few jokes now and then. Labs were pretty easy as well. Very accessible through her email and phone calls. It's biology, don't expect an easy A. You have to earn it.
Went to class maybe ten times in order to take lab quizzes and tests, but skipped the rest. SCI 1101 is very boring as is, but she makes it worse by going through her "lectures" extremely slow. Boring class, congested auditorium, and an uncompromising lecture made me hate the class.
Easy class but b-o-r-i-n-g. Goes off on useless tangents. If you go to class, bring a friend! Need only show up for lab quizzes and tests.
She won't help you at all if you email her. Just says, "That was discussed in class." Tests are TRICKY. Study guide doesn't help at all. She is boring and so is the class. Would never take her again.
Pretty much agree with the previous message. She's no help and going to class it pointless because it's all online or in the book unless it's a video.
I only went to class twice and still made an A. just use her outlines and study from the textbook. most of the test questions are the same ones from her lab activites. I don't know what other people who have posted are talking about, this was a piece of cake.
I made an A. I didn't buy the book. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. Just go to class, take notes, use her study guides, and do her online activities. It's college, people.
Good professor. Had her for Bio2107. Tests are fair and if you study, do the homework and quizzes, an A should be no problem if you put in the effort. I thought her lectures were pretty intresting and labs were good too.
TAKE HER! Science teachers at KSU SUCK - but she is easy! She gives you a study guide for every test (3 tests and a final) and she gives you extra online activity points. She's a nice woman too!
She is a nice lady and a good teacher. Classes and labs are interesting. But you have to read your book and study. Expect to work hard, have a good time, and learn a lot.
Use the lecture outlines and do her reading guides and you should do well. She is longwinded and the material is dry but she's a fair prof. The lab reports suck b/c she just has you copy the material from the manual you bought which I found redundant.
If you like or know about science, don't take this prof. She acts like you have a 5th grade education. In fact, she seems like she doesn't know a lot about environmental science herself--not articulate. Class is a snooze-fest (I literally fell asleep a couple times). The material is so easy, I don't know why KSU makes students take this course.
i pretty much spent the whole semester trying to play catch-up with this professor. i mean, there's so much covered in so many areas, so it wasnt helpful that we flew through 2-3 chapters in one class w/o anything in particular being pointed out that we needed to know. the book has so much more content than the letures, so i barley kept up in rding
Everything she teaches in her lectures do not match her tests! Make sure you come to class and pay attention or you will fail.
She is very nice!At first I was worried about the class. My first test was not so good & the lectures seemed a bit dry.But after a few weeks, I found the lectures more enjoyable. She also was a lot more fun than I thought she was going to be.Labs are mandatory. Some test question can be unclear, but her grading is very fair! I would lake her again.
She was very understanding. Her tests were pretty easy for the most part. I hardly ever attended class, and I ended up with an A. I had heard rumors about this teacher, but when I actually took this course I was surprised at how false those rumors were.
She was a horrible teacher. She was understandable, but she can't spell and she can't teach well. The tests come straight from the book and she doesn't help you out. I am in upper level classes and don't complain about professors, but she is just horrible as a professor. Avoid if possible, if not make the best of it.
I kept my fingers crossed all semester.... Barely passed. Just know that you'll be doing most of the work yourself by memorizing the book. She doesn't really help you get ready for the tests and she makes it sound that you only need to know some of the "big pictures" but then you'll see detailed questions on the test. This class was stressful.
She is not interesting at all but she does post everything online which is how I passed. If you do the study guides and fill in any gaps using the text book you will do well on the tests. I enjoyed having a class I did not have to attend to pass. The quizzes add a lot more cushion than you think & you only have to take them until you get 60 points.
I got a B in the class. She is a fair professor. Alot of people say she is dull. well the course is dull if you dont like it! but taking this class in the morning can be a bore. professor is fair. BOOK READING IS A MUST. her lectures dont cover everything on tests so book reading is a MUST! you must thoroughly understand the conceptin each chapter
This class is not difficult, but the tests are a little hard. She lectures every day, except watching 3 videos. The lectures are VERY boring, but she knows her stuff. The activities are just quizzes, which are easy. You only have to get 60 pts out of 120 possible pts. Even though it's boring, take her if you want an easy science class!
This class is not easy by any means. The tests are hard, the quizzes dificult and she expects a lot in the lab.Makes mistakes on the test and does not corrects them.Very difficult teacher to approach and acts like she knows everything even when she is wrong.Unfortunatelly there are not any good choices so you must bare it. READ the book.
Easy class. I never attended and only studied the day before each test and ended up with a decent grade. If you really study, an A would be easy. This is coming from someone that took sci 1101 twice and barely passed. Her final comes directly from previous test questions, so study those and the final is in the bag. Notes are online. Take her!!
She was very nice and she was interesting. I never opened the book and I just used the power point slides which were very helpful
What a waste of time. Just read off of her power point. She did no actual teaching. She is not interested in helping anyone. Basically you teach the class to yourself by reading the book.
Well, the class is extremely hard, she lectures the entire time. But if you comprehend the material then the tests and labs aren't bad. Just study like crazy.
Professor Brookshire is a very nice woman. She is interested and passionate about what she teaches. That being said, she is very long winded and you must read most of the material that will be on the test on your own. This grade is one you will earn. Read and study and you will be fine.
This class was not easy at all. You have to defintely read and outline the textbook to past if this isn't something you are an expert at. Mrs. Brookshire was a very nice woman and always out to help. You just have to earn your grade, which I feel is only right. Nothing is given.
literally on of the most boring classes I have ever been to. A lot had to do with the fact that it was an 8am. Attendance is not mandatory. She posts all her stuff online but all she does is lecture and it's miserable.
I had her for 2107. Amazing lab professor. Do well in lab and complete hmwk assignments and it will help boost your grade. This class is demanding and difficult, but it is the nature of the class. 23 chapters are covered in the span of 1 semester, so you will have to work hard outside of class to earn your grade. Hard tests, but recommend her!
Not a bad teacher at all! Shes wonderful and enjoys what she deos! Very personable and is easy to listen to! she does powerpoints every class and shows alot of movies. tests are normal and not hard if you read the chapters and go over your notes. a little studying is necessary to get an A or B in the class though. I think you will enjoy her!
She can talk forever! Tests are pretty hard. Read the book, it will be your best friend! No extra credit in the class. What you see is what you get.
Tests are extremely hard and questions are about things barely covered. It's like she pulls them from minute things that don't really matter and she words them funny. Lectures are extremely dry and her lecture outlines come straight from the book. I read every single chapter for the tests and always failed. Only thing that saved me was lab. AVOID!
Worst tests I've ever taken. The class is hard already, mainly due to the vast amount of material covered, but her tests are even more difficult. There are more grammatical errors on her exams than any other prof I've had. Dangling participles, sentence fragments, verb confusion, tense confusion, etc all make her tests even worse. Avoid!
Hybrid: Make SURE you know what's due when and press her to tell you in detail. Her syllabus is unclear, & each class period someone had to ask to clarify assignments. She worked w/ schedules (her original discussion assignments were impossible for people with evening work hours). E/c opportunities. Boring, don't need book, only online HW access.
Have you ever taken a class that is hard for no reason...? Well, welcome to her class. The test are by far e hardest test I've taken in college. She is VERY nice and is willing to help outside of class; however, no matter how hard you study the test will make you sweat every time. This is the hardest "C" I've ever earned and I'm a A/B student.
This is the hardest class I have EVER taken.Test are easy if you understand EVERY SINGLE MINUTE detail of the 23 chapters of information covered. She is always willing to help but will not give extra credit. Book is mandatory & if you do not have a strong understanding of bio going in then prepare to spend 90% of your free time studying to earn a C!
Required class for a major. Had her for hybrid and she tried to do as best she could for our once a class meeting. Easy assignments that will boost your grade. She is very passionate about the earth, which makes the class better. Enjoyed her class.
Very unorganized individual. She is all over the place and will make you feel stupid if you say anything even remotely wrong. Does not care for students' grades and well being. She almost made me want to change majors. That being said, the book is needed. Attendance not mandatory. Expect to work hard for a C. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
Do not take her! Hardest class I have taken the only thing that saves you is lab. Her lectures are nothing on what the tests are actually from. Prepare to studyyyyyyy and maybe get a C
If you want to fail a class... I recommend you to take her cause shes the professor that will literally make you work so hard but still end up with a near failing grade! The most unclear professor I have ever taken! Also I dont know wear she gets the questions for the tests because its not from her lectures or the book! The lab is what saves you...
She thinks she's a biological genius but she is in fact not. She doesn't even have a doctorate. She is no help with lab and test are somewhat related to lecture but going to class is mainly irrelevant. You can learn a lot more from the book. She is nice but if you don't study the book you will be unsuccessful. I made a B+ in the class by reading.
Not a hard class, don't really understand all the comments. I never went to class, only on test days and I received a B overall. I understood the book more than I understood her. Study for that second test, I would have gotten an A if it wasn't for that test. 4 tests and a final. No tests are dropped. Just make sure to study!
Good professor. She's very knowledgable about the content and is easily approachable if you ave questions. If you put in a little effort, it's an easy A
worst. professor. ever. never responded to emails, homework was easy but her lectures were 3rd grade level and her tests were 100 times harder. talk about frustrating.
Why is she still teaching this class? Confusing, unorganized and does NOT care about the students. I agree with the previous comment that she is really dingy. Don't listen to anything she tells you about the tests because they are nothing like she says. Take this class in the summer or do what you can so you won't have her!
Ms. Brookshire is a wonderful professor and makes the course easier than it could be otherwise. She gives great tips about sections of the material you don't need to know. Be prepared to study and work hard on the lab reports. This course covers a ton of material! Beware the lab midterm and 2nd exam, they catch many off guard.
STOP. TAKE THIS PROF. Bonus points for perfect attendance. tests require intense study but she gives you a STUDY GUIDE. Yes you need the book! easy class TAKE THIS PROF. The class is gen ed but follow the instructions in the syllabus and you will be ok.
DO NOT TAKE HER. Uses the iclicker for attendance so people are forced to sit in her boring class. The homework and her lectures do not match the test. Reading the book will give you a better grade than listening to her. I am taking organic chemistry 2 and I spent more time studying for her class than that. AVOID
She's fine, honestly the class is hard. Be prepared to study for it using a lot of outside sources. The class is a bit time consuming but it is manageable. Best advice I can give is start out strong and be prepared to work for your grade. Watch out for the second test and the lab midterm because it can determine a grade. Good luck
This is the worst professor at KSU.Biology takes time to digest but seriously all her exams aren't congruent with her lectures, her stated expectations,or homework.Going into test without any honest guideline make it extremely difficult to study for. Choose another professor.SERIOUSLY! Its not the student that is at fault here but the professor.
I took the hybrid form of this class. Went to class once and week and everything else was done online. The tests were supposed to be taken in class, but we ended up taking 2 online. You have to study, but if you do all the work, it's an easy A. She lets you drop a test grade, 2 quiz grades, 1 discussion grade and you only need 90/ points on MES
TAKE HER HYBRID CLASS. 4 test drops lowest test grade. 12 online quizzes (questions to quizzes are all on google) drops 2 lowest quiz grades. 4 disscussion post drops 1 lowest. Only have to do 90 points of mastering environmental science. class meets once a week. sign in and leave & you still get extra points for attendance. EASY CLASS
I took her for the environmental science class. For me, this was an easy GPA booster. If you show up for class and halfway pay attention when you do the homework, there is no reason not to get an A. I can't really comment on the Bio classes, as I'm a business major and won't be taking any of those.
do not take her. This class was a waste of time and lectures are almost word for word out of the book.
This class is honestly not that hard. It is simply a lot of information to memorize for the tests. Her lectures are incredibly boring, but if you study the reading guides and the mastering biology material for each test, there should be no significant issues in getting a good grade.
Test questions do not come from the lectures, but attendance is mandatory. To get a decent grade in the class, you are better off memorizing the textbook. Not a helpful professor and very monotone. Unfortunately, she is one of the very few professors offered for biology.
Content is somewhat difficult, she uses Mastering Biology, and requires attendance at most lectures. I think she is a good lecturer, but tests are difficult with only 30 or so ?'s, from 4 chapters at a time. Overall, I liked her as a professor and would take her again!
I took her by a hybrid class. Each class she took attendance, all our homework, test, and quizzes were online. You buy a code for Masterings. The class was interesting, the material was just a little tough. Overall, a very nice teacher.
Get used to hearing "but this is a better answer" because each test has a few questions with a few correct answers. She takes attendance at every lecture but honestly,I would read the book at her lecture because everything she says in her lecture will never appear on anything else. She touches on subjects but asks in depth questions on tests.
She is so helpful in her office! This class is very difficult though. I read every single chapter for this class and still struggled to get a B. The first test is easy, after that, they get very hard! I would just recommend reading the textbook and thoroughly understanding it!!
TAKE THIS CLASS. Had to take for core class requirements and so happy I chose this one and this professor. Class covers current enviro issues in science and Joy made them easy to understand. She gives you all the slides in a printable format. 4 tests w/an optional final. HW is easy and most of the test questions are in the HW. Attendance = bonus pt
Professor Brookshire is honestly the best teacher I've had a KSU. Not only is this course easy but she genuinely has a passion for science and she keeps the lectures interesting. It's very easy to comprehend the material just do the reading and you'll do good on the tests and homework. I took her over the summer and it was great. TAKE HER!!
Attendance is required, but it is a total snooze fest. She only reads off of slides that don't really prepare you for the harsh tests she gives. There are only 4 tests total, plus a final exam. The class was only 50 minutes, and would make the tests about 60 questions. Try to avoid at all costs.
This was my 2nd time taking bio and I passed w a higher grade the 1st time. She covers the basics in class but expects great detail on the tests. No curves. Tests are tricky and there can be more than one correct answer. No study guides. She teaches like its kindergarten but expects grad school on tests. Worst science class I've ever taken.
If you get a chance, take this class online! The modules are extremely clear, which is so helpful in an online class. It isn't difficult and very fair. Great class.
I enjoyed this class. Pretty simple online class. Google is one of your friends if you slacked and didnt read the entire chapter, sometimes and also MES is on of your good friends too.
This class was SO easy. I don't know what everyone else is talking about. She is so helpful and clear on her instructions. MES is a piece of cake, along with her 4 tests and final. There are a couple of discussion posts and quizzes, but they're easy too. Great teacher, TAKE THIS.
Take this class ONLINE with Brookshire! I struggled with Science 1101, and this class was a piece of cake as long as you do what needs to be done. The material is relevant, and enjoyable. MES, quizzes, discussions, and tests make up your grade. Exempt final exam if you have the grade you want. I'd take her class again in a heartbeat.
Lectures are clear and easy to understand. Her tests are not. If the tests were not so horrible the class would have been enjoyable. There are 4 tests for 22 chapters worth of material (5-8 chapters per test) and the questions are poorly worded. She refuses to revise tests even though she knows students fail them every semester. Attendance required
Lectures are clear and easy to follow, but the tests are NOT! They are extremely comprehensive and some even have more than one correct answer, but you have to choose the "more correct one" for credit. She is suppose to be the head of the bio dept, but we were behind 3-4 ch the entire semester! MasteringBio was the only enjoyable aspect. Avoid!
JUST RUN. Take another professor. She is horrible. No study guide for test, 5 to 6 chapters per test. You have to study everyday to make at least a B in her class.
To be honest, I think she's a good professor because she knows her materials very well. I do recommend reading the chapter she assigned on the syllabus before you go into her lecture. Her exams are tough if you don't know the material well enough. If you're confused about the material, go to her office or email her, she gives good feedbacks.
She's tough I spent more time studying for this class than organic. She expects you to know every detail of everything in the book. Study the book more than her lectures. She doesn't teach everything that is on the test. There are 4 tests. You can't drop one. Watch out for 2nd exam. The wording on the tests are tricky and she doesn't care.
I took this class online in the spring and it wasn't bad at all. She lists modules and what you need to do each week. There are 4 tests and a final and weekly quizzes along with 4 discussions. She drops your lowest discussion AND test grade. Lot of busy work but super easy A.
This class was easy for me. I even failed one exam really bad and still passed the class. If you get your participation points, do a simple 80 pts worth of mastering, and at least try on the exams you'll do just fine. Of course you have to study, but I normally studied 1 or 2 days prior too and I passed 3 of the 4 exams. Lecture outlines are life.
Currently taking her class online right now, and it's an easy A. She's really nice as well! The only thing that sucks is the grading for discussions. She wants you to post on there, and then comment on two other student's posts on two other separate days, which is a little time consuming when trying to get assignments out of the way.
Her quizzes and tests haven't been that bad. Mastering helps a lot with quizzes. The discussions are not bad, just she wants you to make three posts three different days. A lot easier taking online than in class. No labs. There is a quiz each chapter every week. There are 4 discussions and 5 exams . Drops 2 lowest quizzes and lowest test score.
This class is tough! Lectures are pretty straight foward, but her test, not so much! Questions on test are ambiguous & can have more than one correct answer but you have to pick the BEST choice. You have to read the readin a long with the book. I spend more time studying for this class than my Chem class. If you want an easy A or B, don't take it
THere is ton of reading to do for every modeule. Lots of videos and homework. Don't be late on deadlines or you get a 0. Quizzes not too bad, but tests are hard. Labs are difficult and lab quizzes are hard as you have to memorize everything about the labs with not enough timet o look up answers. Hard class.
There are four test and a final. Test are hard. Study for them. Reading guides will help you with test. You can get an A in the class but you have to work for it. There are participation points, as well as homework points. those points will help you in the end. If you can I would honestly avoid her at all cost - especially for lab too.
Easy A! There's 5 exams (Final is optional), 4 discussions (lowest dropped), MES weekly assignments, and 10 quizzes. The test/quiz material can usually be found through google. She also replies to emails and is very helpful! The only annoying thing is the discussions, because you have to post your replies to other classmates on two different days.
How to get A: don't read the textbook, print and red the reading guides for each chapter, take the Practice Tests under "Study Area" in Mastering Bio (it's where she gets her questions), go to every class and do the 80 HW points bc they boost your grade, go to the exam reviews and take notes on what you missed, and go to office hours! Easy A :)
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. I had her for BIO 1107, and she's the worst professor I've had. She tells you certain things won't be on the test, but then you'll have 3 or so questions over that topic, so you're never sure what to study for exams. Lectures are very long and boring to sit through. I was really disappointed because I love biology!
I tookk as a summer course and it is an incredible amount of work to do in 2 months. tests are hard and nothing like the reading. tons of online reading assignments in addition to the book. I would take in a regular semester. Too much work for the summer.
The tests are hard with tricky questions , even for the online class. Don't think you can look up the answers. The material is not easy and you reallly have to study to pull a b. t
This class is tough in general & she doesn't help make it better. She will help you out but it doesn't always help. She's very strict & doesn't bend over backwards for you. Her lectures can be interesting but they're very long. Study the outlines & the practice tests on mastering.. that helps a lot. But there is no good way to study for the test.
Lectures are long and boring that cover a lot of material. Tests are extremely hard and you can have a question that has two right answers and you have to choose which is best. The class average on all tests is usually below 75. Gives no extra credit and she does not curve her tests. If you want an A in Bio 1107, take someone else.
Would recommend to take Lester over her. Brookshire is a better lecturer/information conveyor in general than Lester, but trust me, Lester is a very nice guy to talk to, gives a good amount of bonus points to bolster your grade (attendance grade, online hw grade FOR COMPLETION!), and "adjusted" (curved) grades at the end of the semester.
I am a straight A student and school has never come hard for me. This class is ridiculous. Each day is a different chapter. Prepare for LOTS of reading. I would study hours upon hours for an exam but it would not even matter because the material on the exam was so beyond the information learned. Was Pre-Med major, now decided to change gears.
Take Army Lester if you want an A in biology, Take her if you want to struggle on every single test. Army Lester explains thoroughly and gives you several chances to succeed. He cares about your grades and future. Brookshire does not believe in giving study guides and helping the student out. Her class is tough and hard to make an A.
Professor Brookshire knows what she is talking about. Her lectures are good (powerpoints) and they are easy to understand. Her tests are super hard though. At the beginning of my class, she told the students that she purposely tries to confuse and trick students on each question on the tests. Not many get over a B on her tests. I would not take her
The first test was easy but it was alot of chemistry, but the other 3 test were kinda difficult. I didn't use the book at all but do mastering biology. It helps. But also, BUY CLUTCHPREP. The videos match up to the book, so you don't need to read it. The lecture out lines and reading guides are life. Her lectures are boring but participation counts
Attendance is mandatory, lectures are long and boring. She reads straight from a powerpoint and the tests do not go along with what she says in class. I would not recommend taking her.
. She was very clear what her expectations were. I was hesitant to take an online class but she made sure that I knew what I was getting myself into. She is very fair. She drops two quiz grades, one test grade, and one discussion post. I would take her again!
I managed to get an A online in the summer but there is a good bit of work. You at least need the code, the book too if you don't like e-text. Follow syllabus in order, read chapters, a few discussions, homework is time consuming, Quizlet alone won't get you an A. Quizzes have 2 attempts each, several low grades dropped. Would take again.
This is the class to take online if you're taking a full load of courses. MES is a pain, but thankfully you can stop once you reach a certain amount of accumulated points. Tests and Quizzes are super straightforward and easy. Take her!
Brookshire may give a lot of homework but everything is on Quizlet. Her first test is a breeze, the second one is the most difficult. As long as you show up to class, take notes, do the dynamic study module you will do fine on your tests. During lectures pay attention to what she says you need to know, that WILL BE on the test.
Professor Brookshire is very passionate about biology, so her lectures are somewhat engaging. However, she assigns at least 5 to 6 chapters per exam. Sometimes she does not go over all of the chapters assigned to the upcoming exam and moves it to the next one which is so annoying! Homework is on MasteringBiology and there's not much extra credit.
Get ready to download some good games on your phone. You will be bored of her lecture in the first 10 minutes. Reading helps a lot with the tests. No quizzes just tests.
This class covers A Lot of material. Test cover 5-6 chapters long. I've been to her office hours a few times, but she wasnt very helpful. Her lectures are the most boring ones I've attended and its hard to pay attention but for the most part she tells you what you will be tested for. Read the book, pay attention to the images, study reading guides
Her lectures can literally kill you with boredom. She will tell you a test is on 4 chapters, and then the tests focus in depth on one , and a chapter from the last test you werent warned about. Either sit by someone smart & cheat, or get ready to read and study HARD 6 chapters per test. The last 3 test averages were failing. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!
Wonderful person, but this is the HARDEST class I have ever been in. Its 20 chapters in 3.5 months; however, she does a great job under these circumstances. If you take her, ALWAYS GO TO CLASS no matter how boring her lectures are b/c she explains the material in a way that is understandable. Also, she provides many resources on D2L to help you.
very very easy A. Tests are online with no lockdown browser required. She is very helpful and cares about what she teaches. D2L organization could use some help... due dates aren't always the same so you'll need to really stay on top of when things are due, but for an online class it was pretty maneuverable.
Very easy A. Taker her online! Literally don't understand why anyone would take this in class. There are a lot of assignments but she drops half of them it's nearly impossible not to make an A if you do most of them.
Beware of teacher! Hard work and tough grading
if you're going to take bio1107 with anyone, take it with brookshire! she tells you what to expect on the first day of the semester and honestly to succeed in her class you have to read the textbook as well as go to lecture because a 50 min. lecture obviously isn't enough time to teach everything she will test you on. TAKE HER. she's great!
A lot of material, and lectures are long. Attendance and tests for my class were taken with a clicker, lecture outlines and lots of reading material were posted online, so I didn't use the textbook. Class broke out into groups one day out of the week, It was difficult given the class size and not very helpful in my opinion.
Terrible professor. However, all of her tests questions are online - through the campbell biology book. Go under each chapter and its the study questions. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor
She's a good biology professor. Easy B, Hard A. Bio is a very hard class so you have to read the book and do the mastering for extra help. You have guaranteed points in this class if you do the homework and come to class.
Absolute worst teacher I've ever had at KSU. She doesnt tell you exactly which chapters will be on the test and she cant keep up with the syllabus schedule. Attendance is mandatory. Lots of masteringbio, but if you do have the misfortune of having to take her, do them. If you ask her a question or email her, her response is sassy. BORING LECTURES!!
DO NOT TAKE HER. tests are impossible and cover 5-7 chapters each. Attendance mandatory and lectures are most boring ive taken. She does not care about her students and does not help during office hours. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Ms. Brookshire is a great person. I think she has a great personality in lecture. The only thing is that her lectures are very long and very detailed and this can get boring quickly. Beware of lots of exams (5) over multiple chapters!! The best way to understand the material is to read over her lecture notes! That's her clue for the exams.
Professor Brookshire is an amazing lecturer. Go to her office hours! Her tests are difficult, but if you read the book and do the MasteringBiology practice questions then you will do well on the test. Final is cumulative so review all of your tests because a lot of the same questions are on the final. Easy B, have to work for an A!
Do not take this professor! She is horrible. She is a very rude person for some reason. She reminded me of a petty high school teacher. She is not understanding of student situations. Her tests are hard and she is not specific about what you should learn for the tests. She teaches way more information than the other BIO1107 professors.
Easy A if you just read the syllabus and do what you are asked to do. Homework, quizzes, and test are all very easy you don't need to read the book.
Try to avoid her if possible. She is one of the worst teachers I've ever had, I barely passed her class. Attendance is mandatory, so are the breakout sessions. Her tests are NOTHING like her lectures or the mastering bio homework... if you want to pass the tests, read the textbook, because they are SO specific. She is good lab teacher, bad lecture.
Just don't take her. I went to her office hours multiple times to get extra help and she basically told me to ask my friends who do well in the class for help because she "knows all the answers" and can't explain it as well as my friends could...
Participation matters in this class. She uses the IClickers for attendance. The only assignments are the mastering biology and the 5 test.
Defiantly explains the concepts well other then two units, cellular respiration and photosynthesis, she does a good job. Defiantly possible to receive and A if you read. My only issue is that she makes you do "Friday sessions" which is where you get in groups and fill out worksheets like you are in middle school which is a huge waste of time.
She's a very nice lady. However her lectures don't cover all the information on the exams. I strongly recommend reading each chapter and using those study modules with mastering. Also, attendance REALLY matters.
Horrible teacher, I have taken many classes and professors at KSU and this is the worst professor I have ever had. Her lectures are horrible and she does not cover the material needed to do well on tests. I am typically an A and high B student, but in this class I will just be happy if I pass. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Avoid, there has to be a better professor. Her tests are extremely specific and she gets way behind with the material (multiple chapters behind).
Ms. Brookshire is an extremely nice woman and I'm sure is very well meaning. However, her class is insanely difficult when it come to tests due to the fact that she doesn't cover all the material she should. The mastering biology is tough but only because of inconsistency in due dates and attendance is HUGE. I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
I did not like Ms. Brookshire's way of teaching. She wants you to do Mastering Biology before she teaches the chapters and you get graded from them. Each tests is 6-7 chapters and she never covers them all. This class covers 20 chapters so if it was 5-6 tests instead of 4 maybe I could have done better.
Don't even think about taking any course with this woman. When someone has a question she will either say there's no time or answer in a very condescending which still doesn't answer your question. You're much better waiting until the next semester to take class with a different professor.
I took Mrs. Brookshire for an online version of SCI 1102. Each week: quiz & online homework (MES). two lowest quiz grades were dropped. Only required 50% of the total points needed for MES. four tests, drops the lowest. four different discussion post assignments, drops the lowest. Did not use lockdown browser. Very easy A. TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS
2 labs and lab quizzes are dropped, midterm, and final exam. She lectures for the first hour about what to do in lab. She is picky about lab reports and does not explain what you did wrong in the lab reports very well which was frustrating. She's a really nice person and holds office hours so take advantage of it!
I took her BIO class for a grad school prerequisite as a senior with a 3.9 GPA and I can attest to her being a terrible professor. She doesn't cover all the materials or says it won't be tested on when in reality it is on the test. Mastering homework is lengthy and normally 3-4 chapters ahead of what she is teaching. Avoid if possible!!!
Easiest class I have taken at KSU. Took Brookshire online for Science 1102. Five exams (Only counts 4, all on google), four easy discussions (only counts best 3), MES (you can stop at 90 points). You literally have to try not to get an A
Easy class. No lockdown broswer annoyance. Weekly MES assignment and an occasional discussion question
WORST professor I have ever taken. If you care about your GPA, take anyone but her. Tests are impossible.
Avoid her class. I am not a science major and she just required too much for a gen ed class
Easy class thanks to the internet. Quizlet definitely helped me out. Very clear rubric and class expectations. Drops 1 out of 5 exams, 1 out of 4 discussions, 2 out of 15 quizzes, allows 90 points from homework and gives an extra credit quiz. Uses Mastering Environmental Science for homework. Overall pretty easy.
She doesnt explain things well in class and just reads off of a PowerPoint. I wouldnt go to class but she counts attendance for points. The mastering bio hw sucks and is due before she even covers the topic! Her test questions dont make sense sometimes. The only reason I got an A in the class is because I outlined each chapter and studied hard!
I recommend accessing quizlets, doing the practice tests on Mastering Chemistry, and attending her exam reviews. Also, I used the reading guides more than the textbook.
Easy General ed class. She follows the syllabus homework/quiz/test answers can be found online. She provides extra credit. Do the work and your golden. Easy A class highly recommended.
Her prelab lectures are a little long, but she grades the reports easy. Study for the miderm and the final and you'll be fine!
I took her class about a year ago and didn't enjoy it. The tests are hard as expected however she wouldn't go over all the material needed for the test. The homework would be on chapters way ahead of what we were learning. Quizlet was a big help with that.
Her exams are more in depth than the lecture she teaches in class. Exams 2 and 3 are the hardest. She is your typical read the power point type of professor and she doesn't give extra credit meaning she doesn't round if you have 1.50 point grade border difference. She is not bad but not a great professor, pretty average tbh.
This class was super easy. Just make sure to do your MES homework each week and remember to complete your discussion posts. The discussion post guidelines are tedious, but other than that, this class was an easy A!
Her teaching was not great at all. Homework was due before we even go over the chapter. You have to be there everyday or you want receive zero. no curve. Not a big fan.
Brookshire is a sweet, goofy lady. She is also a great instructor. The tests are not hard and the homework isn't either. Homework is due before you cover the CH in class. Attendance isn't a big deal- halfway thru I quit going on Fridays and I still had a 100 in the attendance category. But, the lectures are really helpful!
She is a sweet lady. However, her tests are pretty difficult. Don't go into her class thinking it is easy. There is a lot of reading material because the tests are over 5 chapters and ask very specific questions. Homework is usually a chapter ahead. Its not impossible to make an A, you just have to work really hard.
Dr. Brookshire is an amazing lecturer. Don't come to this class thinking you will sit there and be ready for the tests! The class is point based so you just need a certain amount (80 for me) to get a 100% for homework, and then 4 tests w/ a final. She provides reading guides and lecture notes online. Solid choice w/ effort! Participation matters!!
Breakout sessions did not help. lectures did not help. quizlet and the textbook helped. One on one she was great at explaining. She's super nice and you can tell she knows what she's talking about. We had four tests, a final, and homework grades. no retakes and VERY little ec. Take her if you have the time to put into the class otherwise don't
She gives students going for a masters degree a chance to teach her labs truthfully I never even meet her. The masters student teaching my class graded easily and was extremely laid back. As long as you show up and do the work you shouldn't have any trouble getting an A even if you do poorly on an assignment or two.
The professor is very approachable, accessible to reach out of class. Will clarify any questions you may have. Studying on your own or with a group can help you pass. It is not an easy A, the lectures help but also take advantage of Pearsons study tools.
The lecture is boring, but mandatory to get points. There is a lot of material covered. She is not a hard teacher, but not great at teaching. Lecture notes are given, and reading guide provided. Don't get the textbook. She won't let you ask your neighbor questions, and no talking. She is a high school teacher in disguise. Not a bad choice overall.
Professor Brookshire is a good choice for SCI 1102. There isn't much work besides quizzes, tests, MES (only have to do about two-thirds of the MES assignments), and 2 discussions. Just be sure to read the book and study the reading guides, and you should be good to do. She drops 1/5 tests, 2/15 quizzes and one discussion. She emails back quickly.
SHE IS CLEAR ON HOW SHE GRADES. GIVES FEED BACKS ON DISCUSSIONS. JUST DO YOUR WORK AND READ THE TEXT BOOK. IT WAS AN EASY A FOR ME.
Get ready to form study groups like crazy because honestly she is an okay teacher with a boring lecture. Four exams, final and 5 chapters per exam. Her lectures did not help but it was masteringbio, reading guides and learning outcomes that helped the most. Her test are pretty hard and homework is a must to pass. She is better at office hours.
Honestly she is the worst teacher I've had. I have had questions and she straight up tells me oh well and she doesn't have time for it. Tests are tough. You need to use all the resources you're given. Her lectures are horrible. They're long, dry, and not very helpful. Wish I would have checked RMP before I took her class. Will never have her again.
I loved professor Brookshire. She genuinely cares and will answer any questions you have about the material. You get participation points every day, and double participation on Friday breakout sessions. The tests were challenging. She provides so many resources for her students which was so helpful. Highly recommend!
Yeah, i don't even know what's going on. Nothing helps and the tests are super hard. Most of the class fails the tests, yet she doesn't curve them or change anything. She gives a test not even a week before the final.
Shes a nice lady, but her tests are nearly impossible. I studied for about 30 hours per test (or more) and I still ended the class with a D. Gonna have to retake it. Do the homework on mastering biology and itll help. Mandatory attendance for participation points. Makes you buy an Iclicker ($50+) and mastering biology ($120).
She isn't your professor for lab most of all the lab professors say joy brookshire. her masters students teach it and they are very harsh graders.
I took her for 1107 online. Her tests are very hard, you really need to have a full understanding of every concept and know details to get answers right. I got an A but I had to study really hard for it. I'd say for her tests make sure you study the lecture notes she provides, PPTs, and textbook. She did curve every single test though which helped.
"Joy" should get a name change because never in my life has a class tortured me more than bio 1107 with this crazy witch. She has switched the way we are graded for participation 3x within the first half of the semester, she is never organized, the only answers to questions you will get is "we haven't gotten there yet" also does not teach her labs.
Grad students teach most of her labs so I never actually met her. Overall its an easy lab but my lab professor was really confusing, talked too much, and made lab much longer than it had to be. Take someone else if you can because you don't actually know who'll be your lab professor.
Let me start by saying that her class is EASY if you can finesse. All her exam & quiz questions are on quizlet. Homework was the worst part of the class because theres A LOT. As a professor, she rarely responds to students and is very inattentive. But that doesnt matter as long as you know how to pass the exams and quizzes. Uses lockdown w/webcam
The class isnt that bad, I really dont know what some of these people are talking about. Just actively read the textbook, like make sure you understand it. Use the study guides when studying for the test. She almost never asks a question off the study guide. And practice with Mastering!! If you study right and work for the grade youll be fine.
Although she is very caring, she does not really teach a class efficiently in my opinion. I did so much to deserve an A in her class: reviewed bio masterings practice test questions, attended all lectures, read the textbook heavily, and more. Her tests are nothing like her notes. Every Friday is a review session which is nice.
This is an awful class. The material isnt bad, but it sucks being on a point based system. None of her tests are out of a full 100 points so the grades you get and calculate, arent the real grades. Percentage wise I would have gotten a 94 but was instead given an 87 because its strictly by points. Choose someone else.
She doesnt know how to teach a class with 200 students, which was about the size of mine. Anytime someone asked a question she would say were getting there but never got to the question. When someone emails her about a grade she gets pissed off and sends a message to the whole class saying dont ask for anything. Very rude and not that great.
This class was EXTREMELY difficult to pass. With the online class you are teaching yourself the material, no lectures. It is SO fast pace. 4 units with 5 chapters in each, super complex concepts, weekly quizzes and 4 long tests with lockdown browser, and 90 question final. Took this a senior and have never struggled so hard in a class EVER
She provides you with online lecture notes, study guides, & reading guides, which summarized the chapters from the textbooks. Lectures are done in PowerPoints, & she explains pictures and concepts very good. There are 4 exams & a final & Mastering Bio. homework for each chapter, & she grades for attendance. It's an easy class if you study good.
Prof Brookshire lectures are quite boring. The information learned in class is rarely on the tests. Tests are extremely difficult; study from the textbook and Mastering, not just your notes. No quizzes, Mastering homework graded on accuracy. Attendance is mandatory!! I worked hard for the class to get an A. Good luck.
I have never felt the need to leave a negative review for a professor, but this one is well deserved. I would not recommend her to anyone. Her tests are impossible, nothing she says/posts makes sense & if you ask for clarity she literally doesn't try to help you. I have made it through anatomy & upper level chem classes with less confusion.
her lectures can be hard to follow and the quizzes are rough
Honestly she isn't that bad. I feel like she is just a regular teacher. She isn't the best but isn't the worst. Very lecture heavy and a lot of reading. The lectures are very boring and it didn't make it any better that I had her class at 8am. I would've enjoyed her better if the class didn't start so early.
She is a nice professor I just had a really difficult time being engaged in class and feel like I was learning something from it. You have to study outside of class to do well and understand all concepts or you will not pass. Attending class is important, however, 100% attendance is not mandatory but I do not recommend missing super quiz days.
You definitely need to read the text and pay attention to her lectures. Her quizzes aren't too bad, but her tests can be hard. She doesn't like to answer questions during class, but her online office hours are good to get any questions answered quickly. Not terrible, but do not recommend.
Professor Brookshire is not a great. Her lectures are not useful at all b/c she doesn't cover all of the material, she only covers some of the topics. She also is not the nicest and will give you attitude when you ask a simple question. There is 8 tests and 8 quizzes and they are hard when you have to teach yourself out of a textbook. AVOID!
Horrible the most unorganized professor I have ever had. Doesnt care to be lenient when she makes mistakes. She just puts more work on the students when its not our fault shes unorganized and gives out the wrong info/quiz/test doesnt even care to tell you what chapters will be on the quiz.
Professor Brookshire does not care about what your grade she is only there to get paid. She tries to act like she cares at first but as the semester continues she gives attitude and is very rude when you ask a small question. Her tests do not match her lectures, she leaves out important info, therefore half the class fails her tests.
Her lectures are so boring DO NOT TAKE AT 8AM. She reads off the slides and her test do NOT match anything she says. Do not take her, it was so hard to stay awake during class and you had to if you wanted participation grade.
Probably the most disorganized professor I've had. I took her my first semester of KSU & it was definitely the worst decision ever, plus the chances of getting her to answer your email was once in a blue moon. You have a quiz every single week over a chapter of the book. She gives projects with no instructions, and her course calendar is confusing.
This class was so difficult and Prof. Brookshire didn't help at all! I'm used to taking online classes but this class was awful. There is so much reading, even during exam weeks, weekly quizzes and homework assignments from two separate chapters, and did I mention all the reading - _ - I took notes every week and still failed nearly every quiz.
I found her lectures to be not helpful at all. She only reads off of the slides and does not build off of them. I've relied more on the book and even Khan Academy to do well in this class. Be prepared to teach yourself!
I do not recommend prof Brookshire at all. She just reads off power points and does not go into depth about topics at all even though they are in depth on the tests. tbh I ended up dropping the class because it was so bad.
I did not really pay attention to lectures, and just went for attendance points. She posts her slides, lecture notes, and detailed notes of each textbook chapter online (which I still have), so no textbook is required. Tests are multiple choice, and memorization-heavy. I never knew what information would be on them bc its so random.
The quizzes given were very similar to lectures/textbook readings. There was homework and a quiz every week but both were fairly easy. Professor Brookshire provides a lot of extra credit, too. Definitely a bit of a challenge but nothing impossible. Lectures are a bit rushed but as long as you copy down everything and re-read, youll be good.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. One of the worst professors Ive ever had. She barely answers emails, keeps the online class completely disorganized and just slogs through the PPTs. If you want to avoid memorization heavy tests, three months of stress, lockdown/webcam, group projects and more, dont take her class. I would give her a zero if I could.
Attend the lectures and youll have a better understanding what is being taught. I would not have made such a good grade in this class if I didnt: 1) Pay attention to lectures 2) Make time for assignments on the weekend Dont make it difficult on yourself just study
In overall, she is a decent teacher but her lectures can get a bit boring. If you find yourself to be more of an interactive learner, she would not be the best teacher for you. And the test can often be difficult because the questions are not direct. However, she does not demand much work outside of class.
I barely pulled through this class. If you are not a science person or interested in science only take this if its required. Or you might end up switching majors. I wouldnt say shes the nicest person ever but shes not the meanest teacher either. The class is a lot of work. Quizzes and 20+ questions homework. Try not to skip!
hard class. not because of the information, but because she would spend half of class trying to set up the powerpoint and expects you to listen to hour lectures outside of class. takes participation and half the time it doesn't work. quiz and homework due every sunday. assignments due friday. attendance really matters.
When she explains the ppts she doesn't go to the point!! I do not recommend taking her class. If you have ADHD you will not like her class because she is disorganized/boring when explaining the information. Do not get me wrong, she is nice! but she has to make her students to engage better with her class.
SUPER disorganized her lectures are pointless and boring! I learned more reading the book than listening to her explanations, which it shouldnt be like that
She's okay. I wouldn't say that she is the best lab instructor or even the worst, and she's right in the middle, and I would personally not recommend her. I also would not recommend taking her for an 8:00 am lab.
DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR She changed deadlines without warning, and still expected students to meet them. Treated anyone who asked her questions with condescension. Test heavy class but the tests rarely matched the reading material. Reading load was heavier than my history class. I've taken upper level courses that were easier.
If your dreams are to be a biology major then sure take this instructor but if you are just trying to get through the class because it is required then RUN! this has been the hardest class that I have ever taken and I highly recommend never taking this professors class. go with another teacher or you will waste your time just like I have.
This class is lecture heavy with breakout sessions one day per week. One chapter is covered every week with a test on every four chapters. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities that can help your grade a lot! If you study for the tests, go to class, and complete all the homework and quizzes, you can easily get an A.
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Too many quiz and chapters every week. Takes forever to respond to email. She doesn't following the syllabus. The syllabus stated exam grade will be posted within a week. Exam grade was posted in one week and one day.
So much material to learn. Quizzes and Test questions will pop up and it will be nothing about the chapters. All the material that she gives us does not help on the test or quiz. It is a hard class to get an A in.
STUDY STUDY STUDY!! Exams are very tough and tend to not align with the textbook or lecture videos. Quizzes and exams include obscure questions NOT covered in the textbook chapters. Read EVERYTHING in the textbook. This class was incredibly difficult, I could not drop it due to my major. The extra credit saved me!!!
This class was very difficult. It was hard to navigate and keep up with the amount of work. The workload was overwhelming.
I may be biased due to having a prior interest in the subject, but I had very little trouble in this class. I was exhausted half the time during the class period and admittedly didn't pay much attention, but reviewing the relevant textbook pages got me through most assignments fairly easily
She's alright for lab. I had a good group so that makes a big difference. Just do the work,
Ms Brookshire was so amazing!! She really cares and wants you to succeed, so she gives a lot of opportunities for you to pass. My midterm score was a 50, but by the time I received my final grades, I was at an A. Loveee her. 101/10 recommend.
Not bad, do the assigned work. She's organized as the work is easy to explain, and she's easy to access via email.
This professor is very difficult and has extremely harsh grading. She's unorganized with assignments and expectations, often leaving students confused. Overall, I wouldn't recommend taking her class.
Overall, she has a pretty standard online class. Shes a little older which can be a hit or miss but the class was pretty easy. There were lab assignments every week and then a test, but none were proctored, only the final. Only thing was that ther are group activities which is hard for a online class
