Lot's of reading and writing but it wasn't the usual rehashing of the death penalty, abortion, gun control. The material was historical and classic--you'll be glad to have taken this class to read what you otherwise wouldn't have. Use her office hours.

she's a very good teacher who will help you if you come to her office hours, but she will push you and is very challenging.

The class was very challenging, but I did not have a problem with how she taught. There was lots of reading and thinking, so if you have a problem with being able to think critically, then this will be a very hard class.

This instructor has been unfairly labled by students that can not handle a challenge. I say take this class if you want to transfer and be able to do college level work. She is honest and very helpful. I plan to remain in contact with her throughout my college career. I think that most students want it easy and that is not what college is about.

She sets the bar high for her students and that how it should be. So some may not like her class because it seems "hard" but she is the kind of teacher that really prepares you for CSU and UC classes. Nothing worth doing should be easy.

Do not take this class over the summer if you do not want to work, write, and real A LOT. The course was only 6 weeks long but we had to read 4 novels, write several essays, and explicate tough poems. Overall, it's very demanding but if you don't have a problem with working hard, you will be fine.

I took english 1a and 1b the past summers and it is very demanding and difficult, but if you put in the work it is totally do-able. Just expect to work and you will do fine. She has a wonderful passion to teach and when you finally get that A it will be a great joy. I loved her and can say she is as good as my berkeley professors :)

SO FAR SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD. SHE IS INTELLIGENT AND MOTIVATES STUDENTS TO DO THEIR BEST. AN "A" AT THE VERY END OF THE SEMESTER GIVES A STUDENT A SENSE OF FULLFILLMET FOR ALL THE HARDWORKS HE/SHE DID ON HER CLASS.

Dr. Eichner-Lynch is a true gem at CCC. Im astanoshied that she has chosen to work there as opposed to a high ranked university. Anyway, she is one of the most motivating and influential teachers that i have ever encountered. If you want to learned i recommend her a million times over! She is hard but youll learn how to be a true critical thinker.

I think she is a wonderful teracher, but do not take her class unless you are willing to put in the work. She will teach you everytihing you need to know.

I had to drop her class because I was gone so much, but she is an excellent teacher. Is she difficult? Yeah, but why else are you in college if not to learn? She makes you work, but she's fair-minded and flexible if you work with her. She's enthusiastic about what she teaches, and it shows. Great professor.

Excellent Teacher. She's the best teacher at CCC. She's passionate about teaching. She's very helpful. She's very fair. It is worthwhile to take her class even though it is very hard. You will learn what you will later appreciate significantly.

I hated english before I took her class and I hated it during her class, but by the end of the semester she helped me love it. This class is VERY HARD do not be deceived, however, she is one of the few people who cares about her student's success. She will also work with you and make sure to push you to do your best.

Extremely helpful, smart, and passionate professor. Teaches skills that are not only useful to the rest of your academic career, they will be valuable for the rest of your life as well.

Take her sat class,easy A. follow the syllabus and she likes to talk so bring something to do take notes on movie(we watch 1 every class) if u wana class where u can turn hw in @ end of semester this is it!!!

Very helpful, 1C with her was the hardest class I took at CCC. Also it was the class I benefited from the most, I'm a more confident and concise writer. I highly recommend her, but be prepared to work your butt off.

Dr. Lynch is one of the best professors CCC has. She is extremely passionate about teaching. I took her Saturday class, and I loved how she let us speak our minds. This teacher is not afraid of giving her opinion, and that is one of the many reasons I respect her.

Assignments were difficult to understand but she was always available to review your essay prior to turning it in. She is very helpful with assignments. I like the fact she has no due dates for papers but careful this could bite you in the end. Not a easy A but you will get satisfied with the work you put in.

Best teacher ever encountered. I learned to formulate my critical thinking into comprehensible verbal statements. I feel freed. I am less hang up on grades but appreciate the A for working hard. My life feels enriched and sparked by Prof Eichnerlynch.

Dr. E really taught me how to write an argumentative essay using just what was in front of me (the short story or poem) and knowledge I already possessed in my head. I never thought I would be able to produce the type of essays she was requesting, but I did. I am able to write argumentative essays using one source of information.

Dr. Eichner-Lynch is an amazing teacher.She has very positive energy, you really feel that she supports every student.She is extremely helpful,at times her class can be tough.If you go to her office hours she will not only give you positive feedback, but she will help you become a better writer.Highly recommend this professor!!

English is hard for me, I wouldn't have passed with anyone else. With my writing anxiety, she was patient and supportive. She explains well and will keep explaining until you get it. You can rewrite a paper until your satisfied, but things must be typed. If you have any problems, TALK TO HER! in office, in the skills center, SHE WANTS TO HELP.

I took this class Fall 14. She's very upbeat and excited for class, which in return makes me feel interested in the course material. She's approachable and gives great advice on papers during her officelab hours. She even lets you rewrite two of your essays for a better grade! Her grading system is straight forward and she is just great.

Dr. EichnerLynch is amazing! She has been very helpful and she gives lots of feedback! Dr. E has guided me and helped me prepare for writing college level essays. She is inspirational and funny! No due dates on the papers, but I recommend you keep up to date. Only a midterm and a final. No other quizzes. Dr. E. has been there for me.

Dr. EichnerLynch is probably one of the best professors I have ever had. Since, I am very young, she really put time and effort into helping me improve my writing. She really made my semester fun! She is quite humorous as well! Her class may seem "easy," but she really expects a lot. Dr. E want you to succeed.

Dr. E is a "real" professor. You must do the homework, required reading, and participate, but she does not talk condescendingly to her students. She really cares and willingly helps students one-on-one whenever needed. She always responds to your e-mails, even if it is to say see her in person, but at least you're not ignored. Best English prof IMO

Dr. E. is a great professor who cares for her students. Had her for 1A Fall 2016 semester. Go to class and do the readings and you will pass.

She is hands down the best teacher I have ever had! She is Super educated and carrying. If your taking her for English 1A be prepared to work, but don't worry she will help you if you need it. Need an easy A? Take one of her Saturday English Lit classes they are the best, makes you not mind getting up early! I wouldn't take any other teacher !

In class, Professor E does go of topic with stories of her life, but if she see's you are working hard and going to her office hours, she will help you and you will pass the class. If you go to her with the first draft of your essay and a typed outline, she will tell you exactly what to do to get an A on it. An amazing teacher. DO THE READING!

Dr. E is amazing. She gives you a foolproof way to outline and write your paper. She does q&a which I love. She's always full of energy and super understanding. YOU MUST DO ASSIGNMENTS ON TIME. She does not have hard due dates. So if you procrastinate like me, you will fall behind.

Very passionate about teaching & it shows bc she commutes from Lake Tahoe. Only 4 essays in the entire semester, & doesnt penalize for late papers. Reading assigned homework is a must. Show up to class, do the assigned readings, have a willingness to learn, do the essays and you are 99% guaranteed to pass. She rambles a bit, but look past it

Dr. E really cares about her students. She treats you like an adult, and will help you but you have to do the work. She's always available to explain what you don't understnad. Best prof ever.

Dr E is amazing! She cares more than any other teacher I've had at this college. She's always there to help you, but do the work. She explains everything in detail online, but you have to read it. She's supportive and encouraging in her virtual office hours, so ask her questions! My counselor was right--she's the BEST!

Dr. E is the best professor I ever had! She guided me through every essay and helped me the best that she could. Pay attention in class as she will drop hints of what to write in your essays. She made me so confident in my writing and she is the sweetest person ever! She can come off as a bit harsh but her intentions are always good.

Dr E's literature class is AMAZING! Other students recommended her for this class, and I'm so glad they did. I'm not an English major, but her lectures online give all the background you need, and they are interesting for other majors. Im taking her literature classes again. I'm thinking of changing my major 2 english.

EichnerLynch is a wonderful professor AND human. Take her class and enjoy the ride. She genuinely wants you to succeed! There's a difference between just "passing" and succeeding so keep that in mind. Dr. E will prepare you for what's to come in college writing, and you'll be grateful she was part of your academic journey.

Dr E is a great teacher. I took her for 1A and her Women in Lit class. She's so encouraging, I am so much more confident in my work because she does everything she can to help students to write and think better. If you're looking for a totally supportive teacher who is ALWAYS there for you, take Dr E for your english classes!

One of my best professors by far DR.E is so understanding and caring to talk to she gets and understands that we all go through things and sometimes we cant show up and show out and do our best every time. During this pandemic she really made sure to take time to understand that we are all going through difficult times, she was available anytime!

I took Dr. E's English 1A class and it was one of the best experiences I had while taking a class a CCC. Dr. E is extremely understanding and makes herself available to all her students. She was really understanding during the pandemic. One thing I enjoyed about her class was that Canvas was really organized and it was easy to navigate throughout.

I took this class fall of 2019. Hybrid class. Back before pandemic. She is very sweet and caring, she wants you to pass, & she has lots of fun stories. She is clear on how to build your essay, She can be harsh but the intention is 2 help you in your writing. Best English teacher ever!!! Im so glad Ive made the right choice w/ her. :D

Dr.E is brilliant! She really knows how to structure an online class so that you know exactly what and when something is due. She genuinely cares about her students and will go above and beyond to help them. Dr. E is easily accessible (usually a response to emails the day of or morning after you send them) and she gives LOTS of extra credit!

This is one of those classes where you have to be engaged with the material or you will have a hard time. That's actually a general indicator of whether or not you'll succeed in academic institutions. Anyways, Professor EichnerLynch expects you to know the material, analyze it, and provide examples.

I took her English 1A, fast pace class. There were 3 essays she provides the articles for you and gives good feedback, she answers emails within a day. She allows turning in the outline twice after receiving feedback. However, her deadlines are strict regardless of covid situations.

Prof. Eichner-Lynch is a somewhat great teacher. While her criteria for grading are definitely clear, and it's pretty easy to fulfill them, and her quizzes are easy, I believe that she has more room for improvement and that she should engage with her students more.

I never had a great foundation in English but this online class taught me a lot. Dr. E is very kind, she's knowledgeable and her feedback on papers is very helpful. There's tons of extra credit. For my short-term class, it was very important to stay on top of my work. Papers have extensions and she's very accessible outside of class.

Dr. EichnerLynch is great! I enjoyed her British literature class so much; learned a lot, very interesting. Class is well laid-out. Prof. gives excellent feedback on assignments, lovely to talk to, gives lots of ec opportunities. Unique English course: no formal essays in this class. Great literature, great movies, great class! Highly recommend.

Professor. E is very strict when it comes for grading. She offers plenty of extra credit.

Dr.EichnerLynch is a great professor. I took her fastpace class, and I found it manageable. She offers a lot of extra credit which makes it easier to get a good grade. Class consisted of three assignments a week, 2 smalls quizzes and a diccusion. We did have 4 essays. I procrastinated throughout the class and managed to get a decent grade.
