dr. baugh is the best teacher i have ever had, in college and high school combined!

The class was challenging, read the cases! Also, if you get on her bad side, expect your grade to go down. Test are okay, as long as you do really well on the take home essay and can match up the cases.

Dr. Baugh was the best undergrad professor that I had. She is tough, demanding, and has high expectations; but she is willing to work with you and wants to see you succeed. A+++

Baugh is a great teacher. She gives a quiz every Friday and the tests are MC. Not the easiest but she will help you because she wants you to succeed.

I will always remember her as the BEST prof I ever had. She's very tough but wants you to strive for excellence. Be prepared to work very hard! It will pay off!!A++++

Baugh is a good teacher, she explains everything so thoroughly. There are quizzes every week and a few tests but everything is MC. She really got me interested in the subject

Dr. Baugh is the only professor I have had at Central that acts like she cares about you and your grade. Expects a whole lot especially if you have had her for another class that you did well in. Be prepared to study A LOT. Cares so much about your grade you'll feel bad if you do bad.

Seems to choose your grade for class based on what she thinks you should get, as opposed to what you deserve. Mind you, I got a good grade and I still say this criticism, so it's not sheer jealousy. But I guarantee you WILL learn a LOT of material in this class.

She was a very good teacher. Willing to help out if you needed help. THe only negitive was that her exams were 100pt T/F. Do good on the papers and will be ok. Some what difficult if you are just taking it for a blow off for UP....but not bad. Good lady.

A great professor. She challenges her students and wants them to succeed. She's very smart and passionate about politics. This class takes some work, but it's not busy work--you actually learn something.

This class is not too hard at all. BUT you do need to go to class. Relativly easy grader on papers and such. The quizes every week are kinda easy, just DO THE ONLINE QUIZES!!!!!! If you do those once or twice a week you will pass the quizes, plus all you need to study for exams is to do them over

I loved this class. It was easy if you do the online quizes. You really have to be stupid not to do well. The stuff about not doing well if you're a republican is not true. She presents facts to the class, asks questions, and allows students to draw up their own conclussions. Very nice teacher.

Love this women. We still talk through email and i have been graduated for years. This lady knows her stuff. Take her if you want to learn.

She is awesome!If you really want to learn about the Civil Rights Movement, take this class!She's very passionate about the CRM, and if you're unsure of something she's willing to clarify until you understand. The exams are a little tough, 100 true/false, but if you do the readings, go to class and take notes.. piece of cake! Take this class!!!!!!!

Easy class but she seems to be more worried about conflicts that arn't there. Also, there is no disagreeing with her, you may get a bad grade!

she is a nice lady but the tests are hard, they are all true/false and really hard... but the class is basically veered towards making republicans turn democrat

Very organized and knows her stuff. There are not many assignments outside of two papers that you have to do. She is very to the point and I would recommend her.

The best professor I have ever had. She knows what she is talking about. Dr. Baugh cares about her students and is always open to hear opinions that may not favor hers. She is very fair in grading. As long as you do the readings and don't get behind, you will do fine.

Told me not to go into teaching. Now I have a double major in Social Science and History as well as a Masters in Education. Thanks for the motivation.

Truly cares about each and every student in the class. I actually had her as an advisor and she was fantastic, take this class.

An interesting lady teaching an interesting class. If you do the reading and go to class you should have no problems with the essays or tests at all. My favorite part of this class was when she talked about Stevie Wonder and said, "If you don't like Stevie, there's something wrong with you." How sassy!

I thought the class was going to boring, but she proved us wrong. Also the tests were kind of hard but if you read the chapters then you should be fine.

Dr. Baugh is extremely intelligent and her lectures are probably less boring than some of the movies. If you really want to learn about the CRM, Dr. Baugh is a great teacher for it. She grades extremely fair and the tests aren't too bad if you come to class everyday.

She is a pretty good teacher and is very passionate about her profession. She also seems like she wants to help the students and she give you a lot of information.

very helpful. i was doing poorly on exams, she met with me many times and gave me a lot of resources to try to help me. the class is hard, do your reading and the online quizzes...the questions on her quiz come directly from the online website.

Very awesome lady. She'll work you quite a bit, but you'll learn a lot. Very nice and willing to help too

Dr. Baugh is a great teacher, but if you are not a PSC major, this class will be difficult.

She is a very nice lady who is extremely passionate and dedicated to students' educations. This class is very difficult, however, for a UP course. Do all of the reading and come to every class for your best shot at an A.

Dr. Baugh is GREAT! She is so nice and willing to help out students with any questions they may have. Its really important that you do all the reading because she'll but question on the exams that she didn't go over a lot in class. I would recommend her and this class.

I loved her. She is great. There are many assignments to help your grade(not just tests). I suggest doing the practice quizes in the book to help you out...it helps ALOT. She is very helpful and interesting. I def. suggest this class:-)

She is a great professor!!! She is more than willing to help you out.Made political science interesting to me! I learned a lot! Make sure you go to the website to review for tests because she uses a lot of test questions from there. Read the book, go to the book website and pay attention and you will do fine!

she is probably my favorite teacher ive had at CMU. she really enjoys teaching and shes very enthusiastic. dont skip classes. shes the cutest little lady in the world. i cant imagine a better PSC 105 professor! HIGHLY recommended!

She pretty much rocks! This is a very hard class, and she is a very hard prof, but she is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She helps you understand what can be a very difficult subject.

She is a hard grader, but once you learn how to answer the questions she asks that class is very rewarding, with a lot of classroom discussion.

One of the best classes I ever took and one of the best profs I ever had. The class is hard, but thats good. It makes you think. I only got a 'B' but it was what I deserved.

Very hard grader... Gave one of the hardest multiple choice exams ever. Overall a pretty hard class for 100 level.

The comment concerning a disregard for white males is troubling! I'm white AND male, yet I've continued a very close and personal relationship with Dr. Baugh since my undergraduate days at CMU. I managed to EARN an A from her 4 times. I think she suffers from a lack of respect for true teaching! (By the way, her husband just happens to be white...)

Dr. Baugh is an awesome teacher, though her class is tough. Well worth it if you're willing to do the work.

Very tough class, she runs a tight ship. Do the readings, follow along in class, and take notes and you'll be fine. She grades pretty tough but she is extremely helpful and will answer any questions and reply to e-mails quickly.

Dr.Baugh is 1 prof who changed my life & made me a better human being.She sets high expectations bc she knows that's what u will need in order to succeed. Her patience & willingness be honest about our history made me appreciate the US even more & have grown to be more tolerant and accepting than I ever thought I could. My success is bc of her help

really hard. dont take unless your willing to do the work. shes a real tough grader and theres a ton of reading. if you can take it with another teacher do it.

Dr. Baugh is one of the best professors I've had since entering college. She pushes students to a level beyond what they thought they could accomplish. Absolutely brilliant woman anyone can learn a lot from. If you seek help from her, she will do everything to make sure you grasp the material. Take her and learn like college was intended.

READ. READ. READ.! Reading is essential. Exams are tough if you don't do the reading... I got D+'s on all my exams (I did not read) B's on my writing assignment, however I loved the videos and topics. I love the class, it's very interesting.

Reading is key in this class. There are quizes almost every week and exams are based 100% off the reading. Make sure to do it cause exams are pretty tough and no form of a study guide is offered, almost everyone in my class failed the first exam. Overall, Baugh is a really good teacher. She's tough and pushes you to work hard for your grade.

Very nice person, but she tried to deny me disability accommodations. It took me weeks to sort that out and It probably to late for me to get more than a B in the class because of it.

Dr. Baugh is a very good teacher, her classes are hard but you learn a lot. show up take notes and you will do well. i did better in other classes but i will definitely take her again

She is extremely nice, fair, and helpful. Her class requires you to work hard and do ALL reading and COME to class. The exams are tough, but if you study you can get A's. I achieved an A in the class and I had to work very hard to get it. Fav class and prof hands down.. you will learn a ton if you put in the time and effort.

Awesome professor who really gets you interested in the subject. If you do not do assigned readings, you will not do good in this class. You are graded for the work you put in. All-around interesting class and good professor. I recommend her if you're a hard worker.

She is very passionate in what she teaches and is very cute. However, when it comes down to it the tests are pretty hard and you need to actually work for your grade.
