Nice lady, always out to lunch.
Very hard. Bad teacher, confusing, not helpful. Classes are hard.
Hard to understand sometimes, doesn't follow any order, but if you come to class and she likes you, that helps a lot.

She is a very nice teacher to me because she explains well. if you go to her class everyday and take notes you will absoultely pass this class

Awesome! Eventhough she isnt the most clearly spoken teacher, heavey accent, she cares about the students doing well and tries to help them as much as possible. If you r having problems she has no trouble helping you along and her tests are not that bad!
Difficult. Lots of memorization. She mispronounced a lot of terminology and would move very fast. Her english wasn't good and made the lectures very unclear and hard to follow. I did pretty well cause I had a class similar to this in high school, but my friends that didn't got D/F grades on tests.
She has a thick accent and mispronounces words regularly, but she is extremely nice and helpful. She'll even help you on tests and quizzes. Memorize materials or you'll be in trouble.
Very hard to understand because of her accent, but everything she teaches is straight from the book. she is always there to help with daily assignments and test.

Very easy. I cant believe people saying she is very hard. No she is not. Very helpful, thorough knowledge. She helps us attain the top grade. Pure accent. Very easy to pass her class. Great teacher. Just come and learn ur notes. A guaranteed. And also be obedient. She will pass u.
HER CLASS SUCKS!she really hates me and i hate her. she is confusing sometimes when she is explaining stuff. she also thinks i am doing something wrong when i am not. there are a couple good looking girls in that class besides that, the class completly sucks balls

teaches class as if a bunch of scientists are sitting in front of her...not very good teaching skills, but always in a friendly mood, and if you raise your hand during a test, she will just give you the answer flat out rather than listen to your question...this was the only plus about her class, because if she didn't do this, everyone would fail

Material is unclear, test have material she told us we wouldn't need. I hated this class mostly because of the other side of the room. Don't talk or you won't get anything.
This teacher is ridiculous, and I can't stand her class. If you are not interested in science stay away. The only good thing about the class is she is always yelling at her own people (Indians-Asians), because they talk so much!! It is kind of funny. Kiss her butt, and she will give you a good grade.

This class was really difficult, if you do not have a background in biology or you are not very interested in the material. She is really nice but the class moves fast. I learned a lot from her so I feel good about the class even though I didn't receive an A.

challenging class BUT not the hardest class in the world. All you have to do is pay attention, take notes, and study from them and you will pass her tests. From start to end of class she talks,no joke, so it's nothing but note taking after note taking. I personally didn't need to buy the textbook because I got all my info from her.
okay professor. silly, entertaining to be around, however sometimes at a student's expense [today she inadvertently announced to 100+ person class that a student's father was in the hospital].
Dr. John not only cares about her subject, but her students. i broke up w/ my boyfriend and was upset before class and she talked to me for almost 20 minutes and checked in with me throughout the semester. she is avalibal to all students, and if you are not lazy and are willing to pay attention you will get an A. this woman doesn't have a mean bon

Ah Dr. John. Very cool lady, makes you laugh. I like her! However in my class we fell 4 weeks behind, so by finals we had this long exam, she tried to cram all of the missed material into the last 2 weeks before finals! Also all of her tests r essay style, there is no reveiw, so there is no knowing what to study for.She does favor the indian kids!
Horrible class to take as a science elective. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS REQUIRED. She can't speak English, she is unfair by giving certain students extra answers on tests(usually Indian students). Tests are ridiculously hard and require you to memorize hundreds of terms you'll never need in life. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS

Dr. John is awesome. She is the sweetest lady. She is so kind and always willing to help. Go to class, take good notes, and you will do good on tests. I got an A and i NEVER get A's. She helps you out big time during the tests. She will give you answers. She wants everyone to enjoy the class and do well.
Although this is a pretty easy class, and she does help you out during exams, I DREAD going to this class. Don't waste your time asking questions, because she'll just cut you off mid-sentence and answer the question that she THINKS you're about to ask. She also gives plenty of medical advice, despite not being a doctor or nutritionist.

class is dreadfull. attendance is important. if you dont go she will give you a bad grade. i got C's and D's in all my tests and quizes and ended up with a B in the class. while your taking a test go up and ask her questions. SHE WILL GIVE YOU ANSWERS. if she likes you youll be fine and passs.

Nice lady, awful teacher. Often mispronounces and misspells words (and not just the British way, but blatantly wrong). Does not stick to the syllabus- went too slowly at the beginning and rushed/left out important material at the end. Makes a big fuss about missing class even once for a legitimate excuse. Contradicts/acts superior to textbook a lot
Dr. John was extremely helpful and wants you to ask questions if you have any trouble. Lecture tests were a little difficult/long with A LOT of writing, you definitely HAVE to study if you want to pass. Lab tests were easy if you're good at memorizing. Attend class, pay attention, & take good notes. Textbook only used for diagrams on the test.
Dr. John is one of the easiest and down to earth professors at the Abington Campus. She is willing to stay after hours to help her students. Covers lla material, and having an accent is not a sin... But student make fun of her,,,,
Hard to follow and goes into rants during class. Tests are not easy but this class is possible to pass with a fair amount of studying.

Dr. John is amazing for non-science majors. Her exams are direct from class reviews, and is willing to help whenever needed. Sit up front and participate, and an A is guaranteed.
Incredibly hard professor. Unless your GPA is 4.0 dont even think of scheduling class with her, because you will FAIL. I've had many science professors before her, and she is the worst in teaching unfortunately. One upside is that she's willing to help, which is good. Bought a textbook for $200 and we didn't even use it in class or lab. Not reccome

I love Dr. John. Nicest and most helpful teacher on campus. She honestly wants to see you do well. Yes, it's heavy note taking but its a Bio course, it's a lot of information, this is also college and is expected. People complain that shes too difficult wtf, EVERYTHING ON THE TEST IS IN YOUR NOTES! Learn how to study and note-take, people.
Avoid, please avoid...so hard to take any notes she uses no visual aid, she just rants on about the subject with a heavy accent and bad grammar errors. Sweet person but whole class lacks in quality and professionalism. REPEAT, AVOID.

Dr. John tells you whats important, waits for you to take notes, then clarifies if there is anyone who is still lost. if you miss class she will explains what was learned. (know notes & you'll have an A) doesn't get much easier for bio majors. Don't be misled by the negative posts. all of those students tried really hard to Fail.
It is literally impossible to do badly in her class. She is always willing to help you and if you do badly it's YOUR fault not her's
EXTREMELY helpful. doesn't speak quite clearly but she will repeat until you get it. she makes sure her students know the material if your looking for an easy A well don't take her if your actually interested in the human body she is great. I failed every test and she passsed me with a B because i tried my best so if your a hard worker take her! :)
this class is not easy, BUT it is GREAT CLASS. she is funny and keeps the class light she i very involved and helps you understand things. if you ARE NOT GOOD AT MEMORIZING THINGS and you have a problem than dont take. itS basically memorization and if u can memorize than you can pass with an A.
She has zero control over the class and is all over the place with lectures sometimes, but the information is interesting. You do need to show up to class if you want to do well. An attendance sheet goes around every class. If you show up and study your notes, you'll be fine. Textbook was hardly used.
I had professor jhon for anatomy, physiology + physiology lab. She is one of the best professors around. Sure sometimes she has her moments but which professor doesnt? Just participate, USE HER OFFICE HOURS (i cant stress that enough) she will HELP you if you ask. If your looking for a good bio class without the stress this is it!!
Dr. John is very helpful and does not believe in failing anyone who takes her class. She strives to help students and has once said "I will stay all night as long as you understand" she is a little aggressive and likes to joke but overall a nice lady.
Ms. John is a very helpful professor; She makes sure all of her students pass the course. She may seem a little abrasive at first but if you talk to her one on one, she is very nice.

A wonderful woman. Dr. John is a great professor! She wants her students to succeed in her class. Easy exams if you study! Her and Dr. Devlin don't get along so don't bring either of their names up when you're speaking to them. haha But lovely and enjoyable class. TAKE HER rather than Devlin!
Dr. John is a great professor. Anyone who gave her bad ratings probably didn't study. She really doesn't ask for much but do what she asks. She is a really sweet lady and cares about us students.
She is genuinely a great teacher. If you try and participate in class she will 95% of the time meet you half way and help you inside-outside of class. If you befriend her, she'll give hints on the exams. Definitely an interesting course, and if you try in the least, you can get an A, easy.

Professor John has no boundaries; she will say whatever she wants to you. Always tells you to study because she asks questions from previous lectures at the beginning of every class. You have to write down everything she says because she doesn't put up slides on ANGEL. If you befriend her she will be nice to you and might give you hints on the test
If you don't understand science than stay away from this class. It is SUPER confusing and the tests are nearly impossible, same with the quizzes. My class went from 120 to about 50. Also, she doesn't use her email so she wont email you back and she doesn't post grades on angel so you have no idea how you are doing in her class.

We were once tested on material she never covered in class - although she omitted those questions for us. This class in NOT an easy A. You definitely have to attend class and study hard.

Such a nice lady she does want to help you but doesn't know how. She expects students to have a photographic memory. The tests are all kinds of material thrown together.
Though professor John is a nice lady, she is a poor professor. When she teaches it is very disorganized and cluttered. Her notes are all over the place, which means your notes in return will be, making it hard to study. Her tests are content heavy and she will not tell you what is on the exam, just Chapters to study if you are lucky.
Due to her accent it can be hard to understand certain things she says but if you're listening and giving her your full attention you will understand. If you're interrupting class time by talking the whole time you'll miss out on what she says. She's incredibly sweet and will go over things if you don't understand them. Take lots of notes!
Just pay attention in her class and you will do fine. Don't talk while she's lecturing and you won't miss out on what she says. The information she lectures about is pretty important just for everyday knowledge about your body. Don't give up on the class and go to her after class if you need help. One of the best professors I've had.
Very nice lady, but very hard to understand. Her English isn't strong, so it makes the class more difficult than it really should be, and she's very unorganized. She wants people to go to her office hours, and she seems very helpful. She's very lecture heavy too. All in all, I wouldn't recommend her unless you desperately need a Science credit.
Beware of studying for her exams, there are only 3-4 of them and 1 end of the semester group project. She's one of those professors who makes everyone feel comfortable around each other, so the group project isn't bad at all. There are points throughout the class where we'll just stop and all laugh. Very kind lady, caring, go to office hours!
Prof John cares deeply for her students. She sets the class up in a way where a lot of information is given but it doesn't seem like that at all. You retained the information learned in her class because of the way she taught. If she realized we were not learning or retaining, she would slow down. Passing becomes easy when you're truly learning.
