Professor Maxwell is the best English teacher she is soooo helpful she always has a big smile on her face and does not mind if she has to explain things over again, she is so down to earth and understanding, she makes class fun she's looks so young it's like having one of your friends teaching your class! she's great

Prof. Maxwell is one of the coolest professors in Union County College. She gives a nice quantity of work, but it is easy to get an A in her class if you keep up with the work.

Who ever wrote these things about Professor Maxwell are dead wrong because she's an easy professor and does care about her students needs and most of her classes are right next to her office and most of the time she's in it so if you guys couldn't get in contact with her it's because you were in the commons hanging out. Easy A great professor.

She is a very nice teacher. I learned how to write papers. she gives alot of worked but you really learn. She does count your attendence. she hands back papers late, but she gives you a chance to correct them and hand them back in to get a higher grade on you paper. I got a B plus in her class. make sure you take notes to help you do your papers.

I had prof. Maxwell spring 2010 and she was awsome. I was hoping to get her this year again but I Couldnt. but if I could I would def take her class again... she helped u out alot. if u have to take a writting course she would be one of my choices

she is amazing, very easy going & really cares. she make sure you understand & if you dont she has no problem helping you out. i also had her for my ENG 088 class & i wish i could have her again next semester.

Beautiful professor inside and out :)Don't bring anything with ice or ice-cream to class; her hotness will melt it all away. Extremely fair and helpful. Challenging class, loved it.

Don't get me wrong Maxwell is a wonderful person but when i was in her class i felt she had too much on her plate. She hardly gave papers back on time i didnt get the chance to see my last paper or grade I was left in the dark. Maxwell is a great woman but she has too much going on juggling too many classes. i wish i had gotten my paper =/

Professor Maxwell is very helpful; I took her eng 101 and she was fabulous! I enjoyed coming to her class, and yes, she is very challenging but extreamly helpful you will learn a lot from her she is well informed LOVE HER I would recomend you take her class if you are interested in learning:-)

For 101 you do not even need a textbook (for winter at least). Most open-minded professor I have met. Very Clear as to what she looks for in her papers. She allows the students to share their opinions and welcomes any topic. She is a must take professor.

Maxwell was honestly my fave teacher last semester. whenever there was a problem that i needed help with she was always there with welcoming arms. she never turned down helping others.

I loved having her as my professor she is fun and easy she doesn't give a lot of quizzes out which is really great she does give out assignments and essays tho but overall they r really really essay and fun I would totally have her forever and ever! She is really great she is also really really sweet and kind she is the warmest person ever!

when I went into her class the first thing I said she is the one she is very helpful and care about her student the work is easy read and study you will pass very funny and out spoken I just start taken her this fall. all I can say is take her you will not regret it.

Pretty good English professor, the only bad thing I can say about her is she used racial undertones too often as subjects for papers.

I took Professor Maxwell in the winter session. I loved her and her class. We had 4 essays to do (one essay on each book). It was good, just a lot of reading, but doing the papers was not that bad at all. She gives you a chance to revise your paper for more points. Would recommend her for ENG 102. She's a very sweet lady and great teacher!

Great Professor. I had her during Summer Session 2, she stayed after class to help students that cared about their grades. However you have to stay on top of her, she is juggling a lot at one time. She preps you for the 4 essays you will have to do and gives very good notes. She does care about her students take her class seriously.

Prof. Maxwell is the very best professor that I ever had. She is very knowledgeable within the field of the english language. I went from writing zero essays to seven pages in MLA format by the end of the semester. So if you want to gain some valuable skills in the english language this is the professor for you. Reading handouts,no book required.

OMG!!!! She is one of the best teachers at Union County College that you will ever experience. She gives great feedback and she is very knowledgeable. She was very helpful and always gave assistance when it was needed. There are a few readings and papers BUT I assure you, they will only make you better as a writer. She is very cool (MIGHT I ADD)!!!

Very inspiring lady! She taught me writing techniques that I had no experience with before hand. She is funny and her class is very entertaining. She allows students to be themselves. She is not annoyed by electronic devices. Ms. Maxwell is very easy to relate to and let's you revise everything! Hand in your assignments on time.

Prof. Maxwell is an amazing teacher and understanding human. She is very detailed and explains with the intent for you to understand. Yes she does take forever to grade but it's for her to help you understand your mistakes and how you can fix them. She does give homework but does not overload you with work.

Professor Maxwell is one of the best professors I have had the pleasure of meeting. I had her in my previous English class. She has patience to explain what you need help in. Professor Maxwell is probably one of the best Professor I meet so far. She's really cares for her students and funny. Her class was really easy and fun. It never felt like a drag to go to her class. She does take a bit to grade essays but its understandable.

Loved her and all she had to offer. Read the books and participate and i swear you'll pass with flying colors. Try not to get lazy with the work because it could bite you in the butt in the end.

Professor Maxwell is a tough grader when it comes to her papers, but she also gives GREAT feedback by letting you know what and how you need to correct what you did wrong, she allows you time to re-submit and she provides the books in copy forms that you need for her class so you don't have to spend money!!! She is an AWESOME professor!!

Does not constantly make you read, watching videos is important too, especially TEDTalks.

She is a very great professor and a very laid back professor. She provides all of the books in a PDF and she makes the class very interesting and fun for you. Also, we always have class discussions and get ready to take lots of notes and having to talk. Other than that, we have discussions essays and essays that are very easy to do.

Took her for eng102 of spring 2019. Hands down the BEST professor ever!!!! I wish I could take her for all my classes. You have to be extremely lazy to fail her classes because you have chances to resubmit papers and shes always willing to help. Such a genuine person, she treats everyone with respect and her class was enjoyable!

I had a great semester. Even though class was remote live, Professor Joyce Maxwell made class very interested and made it a fun. I was so glad I chose you this semester. Keep up the good work. If anyone is taking English 102 I recommend you to take her.

Would definitely have her again. My course was online and she still managed to be so nice through emails and canvas messages. Delayed on grading assignments, but it only really bothered me because I like to have extra time to do redo my work to get a better grade if needed.

She is the nicest most sweetest teacher Ive ever had. Extremely understanding of any difficulties you might have and is so helpful when it comes to assignments that youre having trouble with. I recommend her to anyone that I can and would definitely retake her class.

Professor Maxwell is a teacher who made me fall in love with English again. She is extremely flexible in helping students and would often go out of her way to make meetings with those who needed help. She is super laid back, understanding, and genuinely cares about her students and the subject(s) she is teaching. I would take her ever year.
