I took Professor Stewart for Biology. Science is not one of my best subjects but Professor Stewart made the class easy and very understandable. Joy Stewart is a true example of what kind of character is needed in the teaching profession. She makes anatomy easy to understand. It's like learning the alphabet. Paying attentionadn printing out the notes prior to class helps with passing of the tests. There are never nay surprises on exams. Reviews in the class are great preparation for the exams and she also offers help outside of class. Regular attendance is mandatory for an A. Great professor. Your grade will reflect your work effort.

It was my third attempt and trust me I started to give up on myself seeing as 'SPELLING' is not my good skill but she gives her class 'FEAR WARNINGS' as to when you would have quizzes that involves spelling. I just took her LAB from Aug 06 - Dec 06 she gave 11 quizzes split in half some 'Filling In The Blanks' to 'Scrantron' I received a B+.

Great teacher. I really learned from her. She doesn't really use the book, mostly uses her powerpoints and handouts. EVERYTHING on the handouts will be on the test! Keep handouts and learn them. She tells you what she tests on and gives reviews. She wants you to learn and will help you if you need it. A+ teacher :)

You should take her for both lab and lecture because they both compliment each other very nicely. You have a quiz before every lab. Study the objectives at the beginning of the chapter and you'll do fine. She drops your lowest quiz grade. At the end of the term you have a practical. Grades are based on quizzes and skill checks.

This is a teacher that loves her job! She is willing to help and take the time for each student. It is still a hard course, but review her packets and study guides and you will be fine. Let me stress that her classes fill up FAST so register for her quickly! Overall, she has really inspired me and I also have a 98 in the class.

MS stewart is not only a great teacher but a wonderful person. She knows all her students by name by the second week of class. There were times when she couldnt talk because she was sick and she still tried to lecture so we could understand the material. She comes highly recommended. Pretty easy, very straight froward and goes directly to the topic. She kind of favored the students she had prior and generalized that everyone took her for A&P 1. But really easy study do the work sheets there's your A.

She is a great prof. I took her for AP1 and AP2 LAB and lecture and got A! It was easy!!! I didn't even do the reading and notes, used only her power point. Got 10 extra points for attendance. All questions from her reviews are on the test! There is 5 tests for the lecture and about 10 quizes for the LAB (she drops the lowest). You'll do well!!!

This class is more difficult than BSC2085 but Professor Stewart is helpful and her power points are clear. This class involves a lot of studying.

She was amazingly helpful, she gave a worksheet before every exam and those same questions were on the exam. She doesn't try to trick you she is straight forward and her Powerpoints are very helpful, she points out what exactly you need to remember from the Powerpoints. She gives so many chances for you to complete your work. Very, very helpful

I took a blended online/in class course. The quizes online are hard but the exams in class are better. Prof. Stewart gives you an amazing study guide to study prior and goes over everything you need to focus on in the class. As long as you study you should get an A! She wants her students to pass and do good on any future exams for nursing school!

Incredible. One of the best professors at the college. She engages her students 100% and makes every lecture interesting. Her exams are always fair. Follow her instructions, study the notes, and read the book when she advises for clarification on some topics. Most importantly, attend every class! I would recommend her to anyone.

Being that she is super knowledgeable about the subject, she is able to clearly present the material. Guarantee you will understand what you are learning. Class was half lecture, half online so there were discussion boards, a few online quizzes, in class tests, and an extra credit opportunity. You can tell she wants her students to succeed.

Great teacher with clear lectures. She always makes sure everyone understands and does reviews before each test (only 4 tests). Great powerpoints that you can find on D2L. Best biology teacher, but you do need to study!! Textbook not required. She said you could use any biology book you wanted but honestly I never opened mine.

A&P is not a walk in the park but when you have a great professor who continuously tries to motivate you and provides great lectures, the rest is really up to you. if you study her power points, do the worksheets (done in class), and use her study guides, you will do great!

I tool professor joy for both AP1 & 2 & passed both with a grade of B. From my experience I do think she has gotten a lot harder but it's doable. She literally gives you the test, you just have to do your part & study. She works with her students. You can only fail if you allow yourself too. She gives reviews & there's also 10 points extra credit.

Best teacher ever, me and my older brother took her for anatomy 1 & 2 and lab. she help you out every step of the way, she want you to succeed. like any other science class you have to study but , she is precise with what she want you to learn or study. Wish I could take her again. Take her you will not regret it.

She's a nice person who wants everyone to pass, and makes the class relatively easy. 4 tests (midterm is test 2, and final is test 4), a five minute presentation, and a extra 10 point perfect attendance grade. Easy B for sure since the tests aren't that hard. If I had to take bio, I would take it with her, but beware, she doesn't curve.

I took her for AP 1 lecture and had her for both lecture/lab for AP2: she is VERY specific in what she wants, just do it! Group work and homework was annoying if you are a self directed student but if you do it you'll know what's on test. Very passable, and she is very good at explaining, and wants to help. Plenty of opportunity for extra credit.

She's nice but has a strong personality. It's very important to her that you participate so that way she can help you on subject matters you need help in. Print out all the assignments for class. You will have a group presentation. She's very thorough in what she wants written down on your notes, but it will help so much on the exams.

Had Dr. Stewart for AP2 Lab it was pretty easy and she is straightforward, if you're squeamish prepare yourself b/c pig dissection viewing is basically every class. Quizzes are very pig focused and lots of histology. Throughout the course she kinda hints at "this might be on the exam" so just pay attention and don't miss class.
