Very interesting class and fun,laid back teacher. Class was never dull. You will pass if you come to class and pay attention, I got an A with no textbook. Plays James Brown and Miles Davis before class, like I said, very chill and informative class. Taking his new class, SYG2002, this semester.

Mr Woodward is awesome. He knows what he's talking about and tries to get you to understand it too. 4 tests, and a couple papers. If you pay attention, you will get a good grade. He's funny and a great professor to take. And he's hot.

Great teacher!! This is a professor!! He challenges your thinking, makes the class interesting, and makes you put in a little effort. I loved this class and he is so cool and laid back. You MUST participate in class discussions. Only prob was others over talked and ran the floor preventing some of us from being able to talk & we were faulted.

This is a great professor! This subject came easy to me, but he makes it easy to understand for those who may have difficulties with this subject. I you participate in class, read your book, and turn in the writing assignments (not many) you will get at least a B. Good luck!

Easy class, Woodward goes over powerpoint notes and shows movies. If you attend class everyday you don't have to take the final. There are a few papers but he drops the lowest grade and tells you exactly what to write about in the papers.

Professor Woodward was a great professor, made syg very interesting. There is 4 papers due out of 5, 3 test and a final if you have to take it. Note taking and some syg movies. Very Easy A

His lectures are very interesting and he is a very nice person. You have to watch out for the work because you need to take good notes and study well. His tests are half essay and half MC so the essays can sometimes kill you. You are guaranteed to pass but it probably won't be an A.

I LOVE HIM. Honestly the best prof. I've had so far. Took him spring semester '10 and I still go back and visit him often. I really enjoyed his class, just pay attention and copy down the notes and you'll be fine, I got As on every test. AMAZING teacher! Don't need to buy the book new for the CD that comes with it, just FYI. He doesn't require it.

Absolutely loved this man!!! An excellent teacher. Made the assignments fun and class was very interesting! Definately recommed. Perfect attendence = no final if you don't want to (and its not cumulative exam anyways). Only 4/5 of the assigned papers are due. Very easy.

Great Professor. Being in class helps tremendously. You have to do the reading and pay attention. A little effort goes a long way. He was great about realizing that points of view differ and he was awesome at class interaction and letting all opinions be heard without judgement. A great course and experience.

Dr Woodward is an amazing teacher. An incredible lecturer who manages to make every lesson interesting. Down to Earth, he sets aside days for his students to work on his few papers because he understands the average student's schedule. The one big paper he gives, he allows you to rewrite until the end of the semester. I recommended him everyone!

Dr. Woodward is awesome professor! He knows his stuff. He makes you want to learn more. He is very fair and wants everybody in his class to do well. He lets you do extra credit and make corrections. I took a hybrid class with Professor Woodward. There are 4 test. The fourth test is optional if perfect attendance is maintained. There are four to page papers and about 5 out of class assignments. The writing assignments are really fun to write about.The test are online even the final exam.I enjoyed the class and learned alot.

SYG2000 Introductory Sociology. Lectures, material and presentation were presented with professionalism. Perfect attendance will allow you to skip final exam. 4 Tests are online. 4 Essays are not difficult. This was my first class in almost 30 years and I got a 98 in the class. If you apply yourself,Read the text, & do the modules. you will do ok

Prof Woodward was a great teacher. I had no interest in sociology when I signed up for his class, and still don't, but he made it very enjoyable and interesting. You either come to class or you don't, but perfect attendance means NO FINAL. He also encourages alot of involvement in class discussions (which is easier than it sounds). Take his class!

Funny teacher that keeps the class interesting. Sometimes him forcing you to participate in class can be annoying.Perfect attendance=no final for you.The class is a pretty easy course.Just keep up with the papers which are 500-750 words,the study guide modules online,and test and you will pass.

Professor Woodward, is amazing. Great teacher overall. Makes the material funny, clear, and easy to understand. Take notes in class, read the book out of class, few quizzes, few papers, but overall; an easy class. A great teacher, you will enjoy having him no matter what class you take him for.

Professor Woodward is a pretty cool teacher, just make sure you come to class, take notes, do your modules, take you 4 exams and participate in class and you will do fine. He gives you the option of writing 4 papers on creating a video worth 200 pts, I choose to do the video very fun. I received an "A" I recommend his class very cool and laid back.

Professor Woodward really cares about his students, and he's really a lot of fun. When you finish his class, you feel like a mini-Sociologist. All tests are online, you have 4 essays or create a video. I personally did the essays. If you have to take this class, he's the one you want to take. He gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

Great professor. The work is easy and he gives his tests online. His lectures are not the most exciting but he makes them better than they could be. Class is super easy in my opinion.

Professor Woodward' s class is a hybrid meaning its both in school and online. If you don't want to take the Final exam its better to show to class. His lectures are just a summary of the chapters with in class participation so to understand the overall work he assigns read the book..

Great professor. Always makes sure you understand what you should be doing. He also wants to make sure you're paying attention to society. He informs you from the get go that tests will be on lectures AND book. He may not go over book info but it could still be on the test so reading is critical. Overall he's a great teacher!

He is a great professor. His class was really interesting and fun. He gives you many opportunities to participate which he likes. He grades on participation and attendance. I missed a few classes but participated a lot so he gave me a good grade. His tests are a little difficult but if you study a lot you can easily get an A.

I thoroughly enjoyed the class until I got my final grade. Quizzes & DB (with 1 response) every week. I want to say 3 tests, may have been 2. The way he grades doesn't make sense, but at least I got a B.

Hes a really nice professor but he only gives one attempt for the exams, make sure to write down all the notes because he doesnt post the PowerPoint on blackboard and he also likes to stretch out the lesson so he takes his time going over them and read up on the essays because he wont go over it until its due. Overall I would recommend class

Must participate, grades you on how much you speak in class. Test aren't too hard as long as you read the material, take notes and listen in class. 4 papers, 4 tests but the 4th one is optional if you have perfect attendance. I would take him, you wont be disappointed.

This professor is fair and thorough. He teaches the subject matter in an objective way and allows you to express your opinion and he respects your views. He keeps material pretty textbook specific. You need to apply yourself but along the way you will learn.

One of the best professors at FSCJ!

Professor Woodward is very kind and funny, also good looking. The class is pretty straight forward, you have 4 papers, and 3 exams and that's it for the whole semester. The only thing I didn't like was that participation is a grade and I don't find it fair for those that are quiet or shy to receive points off for not talking out loud in class.

I really enjoyed this class. Interesting subject, interesting lectures. A frustrating lack of feedback though.

Professor Woodward was a very good professor. You take your (4) exams out of class and take notes in class. If you are there everyday the fourth exam is optional. Exams are normally multiple choice & short response. You also have either 4 papers or one big video project that ties into your lessons.

Does not answer emails in a timely manner but is still a good instructor. Grades very fair for the work. Turn in work on time and you have no issues. 4 papers to write but only 500 words. Makes sure to turn it in using "Connect" and do the online homework. Not hard but must stay on top of the work.

This has been my favorite class and that means a lot coming from me. He creates power points for you to take notes on. Your notes will be EXACTLY what's on the test. He engages with you during class and makes it so much fun. He grades easy and is so caring. If you show up to class you don't have to take the final at the end. TAKE HIM YOU'LL LOVE IT

I loved Professor Woodward's class! My class was live online due to Covid, so we met on Cisco Webex. He gives great lectures and his class was really interesting. We are graded based on 4 exams and 2 papers or 1 video essay. He responds to emails quickly and is very helpful. Professor Woodward is a great guy & I would take his class again for sure.

I took Professor Woodwards sociology class online for the fall semester (2021). I genuinely enjoyed the topics we discussed, and prof. Woodward actually took the time to give feedback on each students discussion posts after he graded them. We only took a few multiple choice tests. This is a great class to take if youre looking for more credits!

Not a hard class, just a lot of reading the chapters. Tests are closed book and proctored. Attendance and participation matter, make sure to speak up in class. Grades easily and quickly, also responds to email quickly. Overall great Professor!

I took two of his classes and learned so much! Exam heavy but as long as you read and listen you should pass, even for a horrible test taker like myself. Gives insightful feedback on papers and discussions. You can tell he's very passionate about his field of study. 10/10!

I enjoyed Professor Woodward's SYG2230 class very much. It was interactive and thought provoking. He responded to questions and concerns quickly and encouraged creative thinking. The discussions and paper topics were interesting and easy. The exams required more studying of the textbook and provided videos. Overall, highly recommend his class.

I love Dr. Woodward!! He requires a lot of work and it is not the easiest but its doable. He is a super chill dude and was great at using my preferred name. overall 10/10.

I did enjoy Prof Woodward's class. You do the work and you will pass. There was a lot of reading involved but it was not bad. He gives great feedback and provides great direction and instruction for his class. He was one of the best teachers I have had at FSCJ.

Professor Woodward is an amazing professor when it comes to lecturing. One thing that I did not like was participation. I have a hard time participating in class which did not do too well for my grade. Besides that, he is a great professor who goes over all the material very clearly. There are 4 exams which are fairly easy to pass if you've read.

7 wk class. 4 proctored tests (50 mult choice, no notes! you pay for proctoring). 2 papers, 1 or 2 discussions per week. He mostly disagreed with my posts, but graded fairly, except my last paper. He said he didnt see much of the text referenced even tho 75% was directly from 3 different chapters. well written paper = 80/100. Final grade 89.5.

I liked his class and he was a good professor. The work was very easy and lectures were pretty entertaining. Professor Woodward is very funny and understanding! Just beware of those quizzes because they really sneak up on you lol. Take his class if you can!

Literally the best. It was the first college class I have ever taken in my whole life and I was really nervous about it but Professor Woodward made it really easy and he made me love college. If you work with him he'll work with you. At the end of the semester the whole class had a good relationship with him he knew every one of us by name. amazing

Tests are the main weight of the grade. They are straightforward and directly from the reading. My class was totally online. He responded to emails when I reached out to him. Syllabus and assignments were very clear and graded based on instructions. Do the work, read the book, and get an A!

Loved his class. Great lectures. Fascinating content. MUST read the textbook to pass the tests. There were a few papers, but they weren't bad. The professor was very polite and responsive. They only thing I didn't like was when he wouldn't mark me present for 1 class, because I didn't know how to take a screenshot on my new phone.

His class is test-heavy, but the tests are very easy to pass as long as you read the textbook. The material itself isn't very hard; there's just a lot of reading and information to retain. Very straight forward, clear directions and expectations. Not a difficult course, mainly discussion boards, modules on McGraw Hill, Tests, and Essays/Video assignments.
