Not the easiest of govt classes, but you definitely learn quite a bit. All the assessments so far have been short-essay format, but if you listen during the lecture and understand the gist of it, you will get a good grade. He engages the class quite a bit by asking questions, and is a pretty cool dude.
Great to learn from but he gave some of the hardest quizes/tests i've ever taken.
i hated this class.
Worst class to go too. He didnt make any sense at all, and gave the quizzes at wierd times. He's boring and lectures for the entire class period.
i hated this class.
JUAN TELLS IT LIKE IT IS (GET OVER IT).
THOSE WHO HATE OR DISLIKE ARZOLA ARE STUDENTS WHO DON'T PUT FORTH ANY SORT OF EFFORT. ARZOLA HAS SET THIS CLASS UP SO THAT WITH MINIMAL EFFORT YOU COULD PASS. AND NO WAY WHAT CLASS BORING...BEST LECTURER BY FAR. HANDS DOWN! PARTICULARLY CONSIDERING THE SUBJECT MATTER.
You will learn a lot about government in this class but in no way is this class a breeze. His class is very rigid in format and things are done his way or no way. Cool guy, hard quizzes/tests(make sure to read the book!) gives extra credit after the drop date to get a full letter grade up.
Great teacher for Gov. Anyone attending COS debating on taking this class, take it with Arzola. Great teacher who doesn't just drone on about information, he engages you in a helpful way, forcing you to critically think, and challenge social norms on the information. He makes the students part of the lecture. Probably my favorite teacher to date.
If you are a disable student, this instructor is not for you.Take another instructor. I did & I did well in Poli Sci even though this is not my major.
I am a disabled student I did take his class and did an outstanding job. And poli sci is not my major either.
agreed! unstructured, never completes lecture, wants to show his high education so when you ask a question about the class be prepared to read a document he wrote about the class on blackboard.could have just answered the question.assignments done online as well as definitions which are collected on certain dates but at random.things like beyonce
His class were fun and entertaining so I tried not to ever miss. Do all your homework and you can pass his class. Study before the tests and you can get an "A" Even if you got a "D" on the midterm. All it takes is a little effort. Extra credit after midterm. Anyone that says anything negative about Mr Arzola is not serious about school.
The most laid back professor ever. If you do your homework and do what your told you should be able to pass! Just apply yourself and you'll get a B or A. Took his class for summer.
I quickly came to realize that this man's only true interest was to show that he was more highly educated than those in his class - we apparently could not have discerned this for ourselves. He made **** comments, was mostly incomprehensible in lecture and otherwise & had an odd fascination with the word marinade and the misuse thereof. I dropped
Arzola is a great teacher as long as you come to class, and do the study guides, and study space assignments. His assignments are super easy, they just take a little time, and even if you flunk the midterm, you can still pass with an A. You just have to put forth a little effort. A great teacher. I would take him again!
Relies heavily on the ridiculously inefficient Blackboard system. Complains about how previous students of his complain about him. What someone else said is true; he's got a higher education, and he's not afraid to make you feel inferior for it. To be fair, the workload is fairly reasonable, but the problems mentioned above make this a bad class.
I took this class because it is required, don't take this class for fun. I hate the way he teaches. I hate his lectures. I hate the way if anyone asks a question he just tells you go to blackboard. He says hes educated but hes very ignorant if all of his views.
Like Arzola said in the very beginning of his class, students who talk ish about him and his class, are the students who did not put any effort in class, and expected to pass. Best lecturer by far. If you handle your business, the class is super easy! There sure are a lot of haters!
This professor is not as bad as i thought he would be. I almost got an A in his class just by doing homework. i got a B because i didn't complete the assignment online. i failed both of this test and still got a B. This professor is easy if you put more effort in your work. Overall, great teacher.
Some of the ratings on here are BS. If you do your work, and you come to class you WILL pass! I think some people want college to be a cakewalk and it's not, get over it! He is a great man and teacher. I was absent half the semester due to pregnancy and he did everything he could to help, still got a B. GREAT teacher!
Absoluely one of the best teachers I have ever had. There have been few classes where I come home after with excitement for the next class meeting. I am sure Gov is a hard topic to lecture on and keep interesting, but he pulls it off, and his enthusiasm is contagious.
He is hard but he is fair, and he keeps it interesting. semper fi!
Juan's a great teacher just pay attention in his class and do the work and you will do good. He has a good process of sifting out the people who are there to "convert oxygen into Co2". Great class.
Will try to scare students the first day of the class. Take this class only if you are a good note taker and listener. Your notes and study guide will prepare you for the midterm and final. Grades on 2 tests only: Midterm and Final. Overall great teacher. Makes lecture interesting and keeps you focused by his word usage. I got an A+ in his class.
Mr. Arzola is awesome! Take notes, do the study guide and SHOW UP TO CLASS!! He is quick to respond even on weekends via email and answers questions till you get it. I bombed the midterm (67%) and still was able to pull an A in the class! Great teacher! =)
The class is difficult, but he makes sure that you pass his class if you put in the effort. Which means you can fail both the midterm and final, and still get a C.
He isn't the easiest teacher. Do the work and try your best and you should do fine. He is very clear up front about what he expects out of you.
I love taking his class, I always recommend him to my friends. If you want a teacher that will actually teach you, hes the guy for you. He gives you study guide and notes you download and fill out in lecture. What more do you want.
you ACTUALLY learn, fancy that. great teacher, speaks clearly and concisely as well as having tremendous knowledge of the subject matter. he is very upfront about what he expects of his students but is also very easy to confront with any problems you may have. I would recommend him to anyone how asked.
You MUST be willing to put in the effort. He makes it crystal clear what he expects from you. If you do your best you WILL pass his class. He has a way to weed out the slackers throughout the semester so don't be intimidated. He is a great instructor. I learned a lot from him. I wish he taught other classes, I would definitely enroll!
He should've been an English teacher, I nearly failed because I couldn't perfect the Chicago Terabian style of writing. He is pretty interesting, but I was really put off by the demand for perfection. I wrote A papers but didn't use the exact format he wanted and he gave me zeros (but let me redo them for credit). To pass take notes and show up!
The teacher gives great lectures but they are long. Attendance is a must since you cover about half a chapter every class session. He is very clear on what he wants. He is a well educated teacher but people slack of and still want to get a good grade. The class isn't that hard you just need to keep up because he has schedule on when he collects.
Juan Arzola is not the type of professor to ask for help. He is arrogant and will not accept any excuses. No matter how much work you do or how much studying you do, he will base your grade on his high expectations. He is a smart guy but uses it against his students to feel like a failure. I passed this class with a high B, but it was not worth it
The only thing I have to say is there aren't any test throughout the year except for the mid term and final. Study guide homework and online homework were giving out as homework. I felt the mid term was unfair but Final was more fair because there was more time. Hand written work is what made this class tough for me because it was time consuming.
Arzola is awesome!! I had failed another Poli Sci teacher's class, and was afraid to take another one. I'm glad I got Arzola's class. Arzola, though he is tough, he is what you expect from a college professor. You cannot except the teacher to tell you everything and he enforces that. Though his tests are hard, study hard for them, you'll do fine.
Lectures are very long and often off track. He's very passionate and talks loudly but still didn't grab much attention. Clear on what he wants but definitely makes you work for it. Study HARD and do your homework. He also uses an online activity thing but it isn't calculated into your grade until the end of the semester. Take another professor
Get ready to fall asleep 40 min on one slide expects you to know everything if not he sits there quietly until some answers it and gets it wrong , also grades your test and study guides like you are getting a masters degree in poly sci Definitely would not take again
Don't take him. USA was the first Democracy? We just ignoring the existence of Greece & Rome? If I'm expected to do 12 study guides I better get the chance to turn in & get credit for 12 study guides. Breaks? Those things we're legally mandated to get for two+ hour classes? Nope. Goes over his time but expects perfect punctuality from students.
I took him for summer school. It certainly was a challenging class, but it's possible to get an A. Like previous commenters mentioned, Mr. Arzola has a way of weeding out the slackers. He's a very intelligent and funny man! He definitely makes you work for your grade. If you study and work hard, then you should be fine. Don't listen to the slackers
Arzola is an awesome instructor. His lectures are very thorough and interesting, and he has a great sense of humor. His tests can be a bit challenging because they are all free response, but he gives you study guides to help you out. If you do your work and show up for class you will pass.
what are the stars in one or solo today I will be teaching you about the word paradigm and Political Science in many different ways what what are the little bus to do is tell you how you are wrong all know actually many amount of times he thinks that John Quincy Adams is the Quincy of stuff quincy
I took Professor Arzola's class online and he was one of the most unclear professors I've had. I get As in all my classes, but will prob get a B in his. I've worked really hard, but he is all over the board with his grading. The questions he asks on group discussion boards are vague yet he wants the student to write a very specific answer.
His power points are not insightful to the chapter. You need to read the book yourself. He gives no chances for extra credit. He has only two tests, but they're both written and you can't use any notes.
One of the most prideful, nonsense speaking, arrogant professors I have ever had. He can never answer questions clearly and makes you feel dumb for asking. Uses a very sarcastic tone and counts attendance towards your grade. I would never take him again if I didn't have to. The only class I have received a C in at COS.
For one thing he thinks he's all that. Another thing is his lectures lack organ. To be honest his lectures are not helpful. And his classes are long. So his voice is extremely unappealing. Some say his arrogance is annoying. His daughter is fine af tho
I took online,100% follows grading rubric, midterm/final are online no multiple choice short answer/vocab&timed, 4 short essays (2pgs) does not curve at all i added up all my points and ended up with an 89.5% and he still gave me a B+. I feel like it should have been an A-. A Positive pt-email him your issues and he s fast to give feedback.
Do the flashcard for midterm/final, take notes, complete assignments, and got to SI sessions and you'll be fine.
Professor Arzola, very stern and direct, but that's how a professor should be, clear and to the point. He does make you work for your grade, however, it's a great class to look forward to, especially when you crave passionate knowledge. He's awesome.
Very passionate and knowledgeable about what he teaches. His lectures are great--but very detailed. TAKE GOOD NOTES. He is a very tough grader and hardly ever gives full credit for assignments, but he does give credit where it's due. So, make sure all of your work/exams are meticulous, well written, and (for lack of a better term) college-level.
Hardest A I've ever gotten. Chem 20 and anatomy were easier than this class. I thought for sure this class was going to be my first B. I would take someone else. Just not worth the level of work for a general education class. His midterm average grade scores were in the low 50's.
Online course, weekly db, 3 short assignments, 3 exams, 1 essay. Tough grader and unclear why missed points, states missing evidence to support claim, yet, asks for opinion. Need the book but can get away without it. I gave it my all in every assignment but earned a C because he grades tough. This is a lower division course and tons of work.
Tough professor but made it enjoyable!
Arzola is a tough guy, but he makes it worth it. If you like political science and are willing to work for it, this class will be amazing. Don't bother if you're going to slack off.
Arzola's class is challenging but that is what makes you learn. I recommend this class if you are willing to study hard. If you are not willing to study then this may not be the class for you. There is only a mid term and a final but it is all written. Good luck!
Yes he is tough. I took him for summer school, it was very hard to get an A, although I still got it. Study hard and ask questions. At least he knows his stuff. And you can tell by the way he delivers his lectures. I wouldnt recommend this class if youre looking for something easy.
the course took a lot of effort for being a 4 week class (duh) but reading the lower comments on how he was a "bad teacher" or they "deserved a better grade" just means they didn't try very hard. Class was simple with effort. Need to be very specific for full credit on anything in the class, dont slack. Ended with 101%. Highly recommend @ COS
Go in person if you have issues. Very nice and caring. You have to speak to him, but it's worth it. A lot of work, but the class is good.
I am not surprised so many students drop this class. He is one of the toughest graders I have ever had. He wants everything to be exact or your grade will suffer. I am an A student and it is very hard to do that in this class.
Very tough grader. Couldnt get 100% on an assignment no matter how hard I tried. Doesnt give good feedback. Really difficult class.
Professor Arzola is a great Professor. He does grade kind of tough, but Ive been out of high school for over 10 years and was still able to get full credit on most assignments. Just be specific and Always site evidence! Youre graded on attendance and you have the opportunity for extra credit depending on your overall class performance so show up!
Hardest class I've ever taken but I've never felt so accomplished. it does set you up to be a great student. tests are handwritten and graded as if English 2 . do all study guides, and quizzes and you'll pass. i did spend so much time studying for this class because it's so hard to pass that I got a B in my trig class. but I do thank him.
He is very unclear when it comes to his assignments, his class has been the most complicated I've ever taken. He doesn't post them the way any of my other professors have, you must navigate through the announcements to find assignments, he asks for you to do one thing then docs you points even though you've followed all of his instructions.
The online course was fine if you read the chapters and give a good discussion for each of his topics. Hint: he likes when his students seem interested so my advice is to email him allot of questions because he likes answering to emails and helping students. Put in all effort to your thought discussions and study for the final and you will pass.
Mr. Arzola made this class fell like 8 hours long. Keep in mind when I say these things I am a good student and have never received a grade lower than a C in my life. He gives excessive amounts of homework and if you are late to his class, he counts it as an absence. I ended up withdrawing because I hated it so much. Would not recommend to anyone.
It doesn't matter how well you follow directions he finds anything to mark you down. He rarely gives 100%'s so don't feel bad if you don't get them. He's very unclear with directions and unclear with what you missed. I've missed points and still don't know what or how I missed or what I can do to fix it for next time. It's terrible I dont like him
Yes he is a very strict and straight forward teacher but it is not hard to pass his class neither is the work hard. He explains his class takes effort, work, and attendance and it is true. I am pretty sure all classes of all topics need the same effort as well. He provides you with the information you need and it is the students job to do it.
Kind of a decent person, not a great teacher/professor. Very few assignments he actually grades you on. Talks and talks and talks during lecture; very little is actually important. Does not grade fairly, in my opinion. Ive never had to try so hard in a class to just barely pass.
I learned a copious amount from Mr. Arzola. You will use this information threw out your life time if you want to make a difference in the State of our country. He is EXTREMELY clear! I thought I was going to fail this class but managed an A. Do extra Credit, put effort in and you will do fine. He's a good lecturer, stays on point.
Arzola really cares about his students, he pushes you to strive to become better and due to his background, he personally knows that you can completely change your life around to better yourself and your education. Arzola's guidance can be that push you need to stay bettering yourself. Never give up and always move forward. There is no can't.
I tried taking his summer polisci course and I dropped three days in. By day three my grade had dropped TWENTY PERCENT. He is a ridiculously hard grader and its most definitely his way or the highway. 0/10 would not recommend this professor.
Took his online summer class daily discussion board , interactive quiz, and study guide. Two tests Mid Term and Final as long as you do the study guides for both and put a fair amount of time into them you should do good.
Very awesome professor and gives you everything you need to pass his class. Has a sense of humor and is passionate about what he is teaching. Read the text book Ch that are assigned and do the quizes, KEEP ALL STUDY GUIDES UNTIL THE FINAL. Got a 16/100 on Midterm, almost had a D. Workered harder and got a B as my final grade. MR. ARZOLA IS AWESOME
Excellent lectures. He is very passionate about what he is teaching. Read the chapters, put some thought into the response part of the quiz, and take good notes and you will easily succeed. My favorite professor to date. I really learned a lot about how our government works.
This is one of the most frustrating professors. Took his summer class and spent so much of my time trying to get the work to his standards yet still would never get full credit for any assignment. He would unlock the assignment on the day they were due only till 9pm making it extremely difficult to complete assignments if you have a job and family
Very mean guy
This guy tries to come off as a tough guy. He doesn't grade fair at all. He has a grading rubric but doesn't follow it very well. I busted my butt off in the class and when the test came around I would get A's but when the discussions came around it was D's and C's. Seemed like you had to have the same view on things as him or you didn't do good.
DO NOT listen to the bad reviews. He is an AMAZING teacher. If you don't pass the class is because you didn't do your work. Easy tests, quizzes, easy class in general.
Arzola was a great teacher. His lectures are interesting and he makes the subject understandable. This class was hard but worth it. I feel like I earned my grade and was proud of it. There is a fair amount of homework, but if you do your study guides and keep up with the reading the tests are easier. Don't fall behind and try to make all lectures.
I was scared to take this class because of the reviews but I left this semester with a new favorite professor. Juan is an amazing teacher and I feel like the reviews he received were students that didnt want to work for their grade. There is a lot of notes and heavy study guides but it wasnt overwhelming. Juan is super funny and relatable.
Professor Arzola is a very tough grader. Although his grading criteria is clear, it is a lot to go by. Make sure that when you are doing an assignment to check the criteria he grades you by, and make sure you meet all those points. Always take part in discussions & do the study guides, these are easy points. Also, always turn your work in on time.
Arzola genuinely believes his workload is manageable. I am a full time student, employee, and mother. I am studying mathematics and I've never had a more difficult time trying to pass a GE class. I truly think he wants to believe that this class is his students' only responsibility. No leniency, no humanity. He wants to see real people fail.
He gives lots of homework. You have to on point to pass his class. Attendance really matters, if youre absent for one day, your grades drastically drops. His lectures are very interesting, but you really have to pay attention in order to pass the grades and not fail them.
Mr. Arzola is a great professor. Yeah his class is not easy, but you learn a lot. Hes lectures are very great. One thing that I dont like from him is that requires you to visit staff members like a librarian for example. I mean if you know you know, if not oh well. Anyways hes such a great professor.
The class itself isn't too bad, but his assignments require a lot of reading. Each week you have a study guide, a quiz and a discussion. He's very specific with what he wants out of the discussion so be careful!
Inconstant grading in this class. I took this class with my sister and we did some assignments together. Our grades were far apart on many assignments with virtually the same answers.
Great teacher. I took Ethnic Studies 3 and Political Science 5 with him and I don't regret it at all. I think people who don't pass his class are lazy or don't know what real college work looks like. Like come on, it college not elementary school so get ready to work. Great professor 10/10
This class was difficult but it was very interesting. I think people who complain about Juan are lazy and don't understand that classes will be hard in college. He is a great guy who cares a lot about what he does and if you put the effort in, you'll pass. I really liked him!
Very tough wants above and beyond community college standards
If you're thinking about taking Arzola's class - I would not recommend it: RUN as far and as fast away from that thought as you possibly can. If he were even open to feedback, I wouldn't mind telling any of this to his face. I wish I took the reviews more serious. I dedicated 8 + hours per day (8 minimum) NOT worth it.
The high rating comments are worded like his writing - he will not help you, he will not answer questions, he will not help you learn because quite frankly, he probably doesn't know the answers. (Or he doesn't care about you, probably both).
I reached out to him for help on study guides & he was very attentive. A lot of work and has high standards. His midterm and final are not to be underestimated!
I took ETHN 003 online with Arzola & passed with an A. I'am not a lazy person I don't mind the heavy work at all. I dislike the way he responds, he is very rude! He doesn't care if you pass or not, if you misspell words he takes points off, yet his worksheets were always full of errors! I felt like you had to agree with him to get a good grade!
Very rude
Arzola is a great professor. He is not an easy teacher though so if youre looking for an easy class his is not the class to take. Read the relevant chapter, do the work and youll be fine. Make sure you review the syllabus for specific instructions on study guides because thats where most people mess up.
Although, hes good at lecturing, that is about all he is good at in terms of actually teaching. Dont learn anything because you get caught up with doing all work Ridiculous amounts of work with unreasonably little time to complete it. Harsh grader and expects you to have a political scientists' level of mastery on theories, concepts, and terms.
Juan is the GOAT. Work hard, you get an A.
All negative reviews are written by people who don't work at the college level. Arzola is an excellent professor who provides his students with every tool for success. He genuinely wants EVERY student to pass, but this is college, so he will not baby anyone, as he shouldn't. He keeps it 100 & is honestly pretty funny. Do the work and you're golden!
He spends about 30 mins on one slide. So two slides per class. He goes in circles about what hes talking about and is not clear. Then he wants a strictly certain format if not, the paper is rejected. Judging from his past he should be understanding of people but he is strict in a community college instead of preparing his students for a UCor State
He is a great resource and lecturer but a terrible person. He assigned seats like a grade school prof and was exceedingly controlling. Aside from that he drew some exceedingly racist conclusions about me which he proceeded to share with a whole class of people. I LEFT AND TOOK THE W GRADE AND ANOTHER CLASS. Too bad, he is a good teacher.
i wouldn't recommend him to anyone !!! not even if he's your last choice.. he doesn't appreciate the effort you put in even if your struggling... i highly suggest you take another teacher!!!!
SO MUCH HOMEWORK! This teacher believes we don't have a life. He expects you to study for 8 hours a day. I work full time and I am a full-time student I do not even have time for myself. I do every assignment, read the book and I still get horrible feedback & grade. Now for the midterm, all questions are short answers, not multiple choice!
He assigns so much work and he doesn't even explain how he wants it done. All he does in class is talking about one thing only and then they expect you to understand what the whole chapter is about. when he returns assignments he doesn't say what is wrong. He just marks the whole paper wrong. this is the worst professor that I have seen.
By far the worst class at Cos. Professor is not understanding and does not lecture well. He stutters while lecturing & makes it impossible to understand & he gets lost in thought. HW is manageable for someone who doesnt have a life besides this class. He spends almost all of class time on 1 or 2 slides and keeps talking after the class is over.
Expects that this class, and political science in general, are your entire life. Needs to know his place teaching a useless GenEd course that nobody cares about. Seems like he is salty at the world and takes it out on students by assigning tons of work. When the students put in tons of time, he still gives them bad grades.
His grading rubric is very unclear. If it's not one thing wrong its another thing wrong with his grading. There's no perfect score with him. I'm not sure how he even got hired he didn't graduate high school he was a gangster and you think he would want to help his students pass. He does the opposite grades hard nothing is clear & there's no perfect
This guy is beyond hard on his students. I came on here and thought theres no way that he is as bad as everyone is saying he is on RateMyProfessors but no you were all right. Hes strict and doesnt give you the proper credit you deserve in answers. He expect your life to be Political Science when you take his class. Avoid this Professor.
I can guarantee you by the time you are reading this my dislike button will surpass 5 pushes. Growing up, I've been diagnosed with two learning disabilities and failed throughout school. When I've decided in college that I wanted to be a lawyer, I found purpose in classes like this. Arzola's IR class is for those who want to learn.
Prof. Arzola was the most strict and hard grading teacher I have come across. He responds to my emails days later. His grading criteria is very strict, and if you miss an assignment your grade will heavily reflect that! If there is a different POLS class open, I highly suggest taking their course instead! Do NOT recommend.!
He does offer extra credit if you turn in assignments a day early but he is tough on grading etc..
The class is easy if you do the reading and complete the assignments. The test are pretty clear you'll pass if you have and read the textbook. It was super boring he didn't make the class fun.
I spent more time reading rubrics and instructions than learning the material.
Toughest grader I've ever had. He gave me half credit on an entire assignment for citing a source wrong. His rubrics explain his expectations, but his instructions are not clear whatsoever. Anytime you don't get full credit on an assignment, he just copy pastes a random explanation that does not apply. He took forever to grade anything too.
Honestly, I am not going to sugarcoat anything. He is such a hard grader and assigns way too much work. I worked so hard on my work just for him to give me a low grade and say I did not do it right even though I followed the directions and followed the templates he had for examples. I had to drop the class because of how much it affected me.
Honestly it's just a time consuming class but after you get the hang of the first lectures it's easy and flowing. I would take again I feel like I learned a lot and def challenged myself. At first I was having a hard time and then got the hang of it and realized it was easier than I thought it was. Lectures are not hard once u get the hang of it.
With Arzola you'll be expected to be self taught and creating your own study guides, then get harshly graded on it. With little help to correct your mistake lastly it seems he doesn't know how to multitask very well, so expected your assignments will go ungraded for a while and expected classes to be cancelled a lot but still have to do the work.
Professor Arzola has very clear grading criteria for every assignment and basically gives you step-by-step instructions on how to get an A in the class, and if you fall short of full credit on an assignment, he gives you positive feedback on what you did well on and what you can do next time to get the full credit.
This class is a serious grind. Professor Arzola grades like a tough critic, with vague rubrics and little leniency. However, unstuck ai helped me stay on top of the heavy workload. Overall, a challenging but rewarding experience.
Ridiculous class, take any other class but this. 1 week in and I am absolutely dropping him. If you want to get a zero on every assignment unless you read his mind and do exactly what he wants without him asking, and have to watch hours of videos of him rambling into a webcam mic every day, then this class is perfect for you.
Worse class ever. And worse Professor ever. I would try very hard on assignments and follow the rubric just to get a low grade. He is also very biased and a political science professor should be unbiased. Also when a professor brags about how difficult his class is and how little people pass. You know it's bad.
This guy is a joke! Since he did not finish high school he takes it out on the students that are educated. He grades on personal opinion instead of the text book/lecture. He requires proper spelling and punctuation but does not use it himself. If you challenge him he will continuously give you lower grades than deserved. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!
I took Arzola's class in the spring, and I can't say it was a particularly enjoyable experience. The assignments weren't at all difficult, but they were extremely tedious and just not fun to do, especially since he was getting his PhD. We had zero feedback for 6+ weeks. I couldn't imagine taking this class over the summer; it would be a lot.
