Professor Battle was by far my favortie Professor EVER!! He is great, it's a lot of work, but you come out learning so much, and he's such a wonderful person on top of all of that !! I love this man!!

He's **** and proud. He gives very nice anecdotes but unfortunate boring and unneeded homework. He's very bright and interesting, with lots of life experience. He's quite inflexible to students requests and questions. Other than that, he's good.

Great freshman class. Very clear with assignments. Makes sure you know the due dates. Funny, has leftist opinions, speaks about****and minority rights, poverty, etc. You won't learn that much about the basics of sociology, but a lot else.

The best teacher in the sociology department, he is soooo funny and a great teacher. he gives alot of busy assignments but their easy and his tests are stright off the review sheet and review class (go to it) easy to do well

Although he is not bad, he is a very harsh grader. He gives a lot of work. He might seem to be a fine teacher, but he is too emotional and talks too much about minorities and almost nothing positive about white people.

He's great. Do the assignment and make sure you hand them in on the due date. Easy A. Tests are so easy, he gives review b4 the test. U get all the ans b4 u take the test.

He is a GREAT professor! He gives alot of work but if you do all of it and had it in on time it's an easy A. I actually got an A+ in his class. His lectures are highly entertaining as well as intellectual.

Ok I am tired of seeing good coments about this guy. Yes he is a good teacher, but he gives a lot of work and is very very anal on grammer. I took his class based on reviews on this site. I hope others dont do the same. Basically if this your major class take it, if not don't waste your time.

He is the BEST professor in Hunter. He gives a lot of work and is very strict when it comes to grammer but if you take the time out to study and do the research paper you will do well. He makes class enjoyable that you actually want to go to class. I did all the work and studied hard and I got an A+

He is a great teacher. You don't even notice time pass. He is fun and while he does give a lot of assignments, they are not very difficult or time consuming.

Battle is a great professor. You will learn many things in his class! Not a harsh grader, just do you're work and u'll get an A. One of the most interesting professors I've had so far =)

he might be anal about the assignments but he gives a clear explanation on what he wants so it's relatively easy to get the work done. he's a cool professor, made his class interesting and fun. just keep your phone's off or put them silent/vibrate and "enjoy the call" as he might say.

He's pretty strict about his assignments, but you never quite knew what was going to come out of his mouth. His papers and projects though, we a MAJOR help for future classes. I know a hell of a lot more for researching and writing than I did and I still use the packets he gave us, great professor!

i wasn't so intrested in sociology beforehand, but after i took his class, i switched it to my minor, and i'm considering making it my major (after taking more sociology classes). but battle made it interesting and fun to learn, and open my eyes and mind to the subject.

He is a funny teacher and his class is not boring..but all he teaches is the summary at the end of the chapters..he gives werid assignment like complete the form for graduate school and has nothing to do with the subject..I mean not everyone is going for graduate school so it's just waste of time!!

He is hilarious. I was so happy that I took his class. I didn't have a major before I took the class and I do now. The exams were easy. The research papers were helpful and he helps with the paper every step. He is one of the best professors at Hunter. He makes sure that you understand the work.

Professor Battle is awesome... He wants to help you as long as you want to be helped. His lectures are awesome and never boring. Great stories about Michael and all the children he's fostered. Battle does givve a lot of work but it isnt anything hard and is stuff that'll help you in the long run. GReat teacher no matter what anyone says!

I absolutely LOVED Professor Battle! He cares about all of is students and pays close attention to their needs. Just do all of the work ON TIME and you WILL recieve and A+. He is very very fair. He is wonderful.

I'm not the biggest on sociology, but this guy was the man.

im taking his class this term, hes so strict about getting the work in on time but going to class alone is worth it. he is sooooo funny and very straightforward about the stuff he teaches and makes it fun to learn. the only class i've ever looked forward to going in.

Professor Battle is one of the funniest professors I've ever had. His jokes about welfare, Southern hicks, New Yorkers, etc. are pure gold. I never missed a class. He's also really informative about getting grants, scholarships and graduate school applications and will go out of his way to tell you about it. There is a lot of paper writing in his class, but they're short excercises and he gives you a lot of notice.

Professor Battle is an amazing professor. I recommend him for anyone in any soc. class

Great teacher in Hunter! I would recommend him to any freshmen coming into the school or anyone wanting to take sociology. His work is challenging but it keeps in check when it comes to doing work and handing it in on time. He is clear on how to do his research reports and helps you on how he expects his projects to look. He's awesome!

Professor Battle is THE BEST professor. I never miss a class and always look forward to it. Hes so funny. My boyfriend isnt even a Hunter student but he comes every monday and wednesday to sit in the classes and hear his lectures. I cant even call them lectures. Its like going to a comedy club. He's awesome.

Has been the greatest professor I have ever had in Hunter. Yes he is strict, and yes not flexible with late papers, but if you give in a late paper...you are probably not a good student. Very clear directions and very humorous. If you want to make it in college, listen to this mans advice and directions. He will make you an excellent student.

Very funny and makes sociology very interesting. He does give a lot of work and is strict on giving in late papers but i would recommend taking his class anyways because he really cares and wants to help.

He is so funny and you will enjoy the class. But the work load is very consistent. So if you have classes with a lot of work load and assume this is a class for relaxation this is not the class for you.

this is a very interesting professor. he teaches from his perspective and knowledge and totally encourages learning aside his class topic. upon having taken his class i have learned there is always some degree of research necessary in school, work and life and the best way to get by is through the self-teaching and learning process

Easy A in the class as long as you do your work on time and proof read it for no grammar mistakes. Grammer is more important than content. But overall very interesting and humorous. Such a good teacher because he was absolutly hilirious and tells you how it is without shame! Definately take this professor..you wont regret it.

NOT AN EASY A, you must EARN IT!!! Go to every class, not so much for the notes but for the countless extra credit assignments he gives, handing in papers, 5 point quizzes that add up at the end of the semester. Fair exams, get to class on time, no late work accepted,SPELLING HEAVILY PENALIZED. DON'T NEED TO BE A GENIUS TO GET AN A IN THIS CLASS.

Prof. Battle is a good teacher. Went off the subject with personal stories sometimes and has very strong beliefs that may offend some people who are religious or like bush. But besides that if you do all the assignments on time and your writing is free of ANY GRAMMAR mistakes then you'll be fine.

Although I took this class a while ago, he is one of the bet professors I have ever had. I dont even remember the names of the other professors I had at Hunter but I will never forget his. He was really a great lecturer! Just make sure you do well on the Research paper and form a study group for the tests. He gives review sheets so use them!

He is the definition of amazing. He may give a lot of useless assignments, but all you have to do is follow his guidelines and you will get an A. It was his class and teaching style that made me choose sociology as my major. He is also funny as hell and will keep you entertained and not wanting to leave class.
