Professor Juan Zaragoza is a fairly decent instructor. One thing to be heads up for is he has a very heavy Mexican accent making him very quiet and difficult to understand at times, especially during his lectures and explaining the notes. If you are not very mathematically inclined, then I would recommend another professor.
Late to class, lectures were horrible, very disorganized, did not follow syllabus, lots of homework, annoying group projects. Wants to teach us how to be a tutor, but at the cost of ACTUALLY teaching the course. There was no study guides for tests. Basically, study EVERYTHING, because his tests are difficult. I could go on but Im out of characters
The worst professor I've ever had by a huge margin. He expects far more from his students than he does from himself - all of the difficulty in the class comes down to how disorganized and unprepared he is. As an example of his inconsistency: he gave us one week to complete our first practice test, and one day to complete longer versions on others.
He is a really kind and caring person and has a really good nature. He is always there for his students even outside the class. He is not really good at explaining and teaching. The good thing is he does a lot of group activities, this way everyone gets a chance to work with each other and he promotes team work.
Lazy professor, not prepared for each lecture. Very unclear about what he is talking about and takes out his anger on making the tests and quizzes super difficult. Cannot understand what he is saying and talks quietly at random. He expects you to know EVERYTHING. Don't expect too much, you will have to learn everything on your own. Study together.
He is a decent guy. Lots of homework but he let us bring a formula sheet to every tests including the final. He was available outside class. One complain is that you must work in teams with other students.
Very difficult to understand. Math has always been my favorite subject until I took this class. You teach yourself and his tests are nothing like the quizzes or homework, tests are very tough. I spent a lot of time on the homework and I barely had any understanding of it. Even though I passed with a C-, I feel like I didn't learn a single thing.
Did not like taking quizzes on my math lab. Also more examples for the hard questions. But overall great teacher.
Took him durning the whole quarantine situation so it was hard to keep up with school. He was very helpful and provided many opportunities for extra credit.
Hes a good math teacher. He prints out fill in the blank notes which makes studying a breeze and eliminates having to scramble to write everything down in class. Very accommodating. Sometimes he takes a long time to get to the point but otherwise a good teacher.
Professor Zaragoza takes the time to lay out his agenda and presents lectures on a step-by step basis. This matters a lot, seeing the reasoning and logic of what is being presented. To be successful, have a good back ground with trig identities/functions because it will be useful later. Complete the mock exams and homeworks--they're good practice!
Professor Zaragoza was very helpful all semester. He made sure he answered all your questions during office hours. Be sure you ask questions because the class is fast paced.
This class wasn't as difficult I expected it to be. In the beginnning it was tough because I hadn't needed to put in much work previously, but as long as you pay attention to the lectures and take notes you'll be fine. Make sure to take advantage of the extra credit he offers because they do help, and there are many opportunities.
As long you show up to class on time you get participation points. If you dont go to class you can be missing the lecture and the quiz, which he will tell you the class before when you have one. Also he is very caring and understanding as long you communicate with him. His grading criteria is very clear.
Prof. Z means the best for his students. He gives a lot of extra credit to buffer your grade on exams and encourages students to come to office hours. His exams are hard and just completing the study guide will not be enough to get a good grade. Be prepared for heavy lectures with a lot of material covered.
Overall he is a really great teacher, he did his best throughout the virus and he always made sure you were able to pass. He wanted the best for his students. Solid 8/10/
Always gives you opportunities to pass with participation points, and extra credit assignments. He is very informative but my only complaint is that he is very mono-tuned, which makes it hard to stay engaged on a boring topic. solid 8/10
Mr Zaragoza is a good teacher and I feel like people need to respect him more. He is a fair teacher and gives out plenty of extra credit opportunities and gives you plenty of help the best he can. This semester was not the best for student and teachers, but this teacher still tries his best to make the online transition work. dont procrastinate!
very caring. alot of chances to pass this class. dont procrastinate stay on top of your work and youre good to go.
The college was unable to provide its teachers with effective methods to resume instruction during the CV19 quarantine. The professor used online HW and generous late work and extra credit opportunities to help students. The online lectures were ultimately unhelpful, but the professor made it easy for students to prepare for tests
Definitely a hard subject because a lot of topics are covered in one semester, but going to the embedded tutuoring sessioned helped a lot! I also recommend taking Math 40 before this class if you haven't taken a math class for a while as you will have to have a solid knowlege of basic algebra if you are to do well in this course.
Really caring Professor who wants students to pass. Tries to give a lot of opportunities to earn a good grade. Exams are the hard homework problems, so if you get those down you will be fine.
This was a difficult class for me because math is not my best subject. However, stick to my Math Lab to help guide you through and ask question to the professor. He gives alot of extra credit which is good!
Professor Zaragoza is actually a really good choice. He teaches well and gives you multiple chances for extra credit. You should attend every class to keep up with the criteria. He is also always willing to help answer any questions you might have. Make sure to complete the homework and study for the exams
That was my first class with Professor and I found him a really good in teaching. There will Be many papers and additional works for you but they are mainly for extra credits. For tests you will be told what to do and his study guides are really helpful. Pay attention in class, dont skip. Also I remember he will drop one of your lowest quiz!
Hello, taking this professor's class is very fast paced. A lot of material to go through. Do not be afraid to ask for help. I for instance was having trouble with turning in my assignments since the class suddenly went online. I talked to the teacher and he helped me and extended the deadline for homework. Overall nice guy.
The math isn't hard, and Professor Zaragoza wants you to pass as much as you do! Sometimes his accent can be hard to understand, however as long as you pay attention and keep up with the MyMathLab assignments you should be fine. Just don't be afraid to ask questions and keep all your handouts organized!
I've never gotten above a C-/D in math since 2nd grade before taking this. I've failed/retaken Algebra/Trig 7 times before getting to this point. Mr. Zaragoza breaks down math into easy to understand, bite-sized portions. He does NOT assume you know everything like other teachers, he teaches at YOUR pace, not his. Forever grateful!!
I've never gotten better than a "D" in math since 2nd grade before taking this class. I've failed/retaken Algebra 7 times. I thought I was just dumb, but Mr. Zaragoza helped break down math into easy to understand, bite-sized portions. He does NOT assume you know everything like other teachers, he teaches at YOUR pace, not his. Forever grateful!
He is hard but will help if you ask him.
I took Professor Zaragozas online math class. He was very clear with his expectations. He did assign homework for each section that we studied, and had work packets to do as well. It was a lot of work, but it left me feeling very prepared. Professor Zaragoza was easily reachable outside of class and had plenty of lecture times if you needed help.
It was a fast class as it was taken online over the summer session. My mistake was to not pay attention to what was due early on. Once I got that straight it was great. The assignments and videos/lectures were reasonable and appropriate. Tests and quizzes were what was expected and the professor really wanted everyone to do well.
I took Prof. Zaragozas online math class so it went by quick and thats why it feels like there was a lot to do but its understandable because it was a 6 week course. Prof. Zaragoza is very great at communication and will get back to your emails asap. If I had to take his class again, I very much would!
Wonderful professor! Class material was very straightforward and the subject was made very easy to understand. I definitely recommend this course and this professor.
Best online experience! Made me want to take more online courses. Would take this professor again. Easy to follow up and turn in the homework. Clear time-frames. Understanding. Lot's of tutoring available. Lot's of communication available. Engages the class with each other. Great!
Prof. Zaragoza is wonderful! I'm terrible at math and I did great in this class. Highly recommend taking advantage of all XC assignments. I also recommend doing packets before anything else. If you ever have any questions or need help, he is great with any of that. Good Luck!
Professors Zaragoza's class was the best math class I have taken. All the assignments were well explained. All the assignments being well explained it made the class a bit earlier. Professor Zaragoza will reply to your messages fast whenever you have a question. If every math class was taught by Professor Zaragoza I would choose a major in math.
Although the work for this class was a lot, it wasn't anything too hard or too serious. He gives you all the required material you need in order to pass the class so long as you keep up with the work on time. If you don't understand something, there's a lil group chat to ask the class for some help which is helpful but he is also willing to help.
For the amount of work that was required in such a short amount of time during summer session, there shouldve been a larger impact on weighted percentage in the overall grade. 50% of the course fell on two exams. If those exams are not passed, all other work is a waste. I didnt fail the class but I also dont recommend this professor. Beware!
He gives enough extra credit to pass the class. You have no excuse not to pass his class as long as you do all the work and do well on his exams, you will be fine. He responds to emails very quickly and cares for you to pass his class. He will help you if you have questions. Overall, 10/10 professor.
Mr. Zaragoza was always kind and easy to talk to.
Professor Zaragoza is a great professor and very patient with the needs of his students.
Excellent at explaining math. Very clear and paced, not too fast. Good handouts and homework assignments really prepare you for the quizzes and tests. Highly recommend Professor Zaragoza.
Overall he is a great professor! He is very clear when he explains math. The homework really helps you out when it comes down to quizzes and tests! I highly recommend Professor Zaragoza.
He was one of my favorite professors because I think he genuinely wanted us to do well and worked around our schedules a lot more than other professors would have.
Great teacher, he really breaks down everything by week and provides lots of help. There is a good amount of homework but as long as you work on it ahead of time its super easy to do. Lots of resources to pass the class including a tutor, Videos on subjects, office hours, ETC. Very polite, quick to respond and understanding teacher.
I enjoyed taking Math 100F with Professor Zaragoza! I would recommend his class to any of you who are looking for an easy A. As long as you do the work on time and pay attention to the schedule youll be good to go. He makes the class very engaging and I can see that he cares for his students. He offers a lot of extra credit as well! :)
This professor made math a lot easier for me. He was always very quick to respond to messages and was very clear about his expectations. He truly wants his students to succeed, that was made obvious to me from the beginning. Great professor! I recommend taking his math class, for sure (:
When students don't understand something he will make time to explain it and explains it very clearly.
Really great professor. Provided a lot of help and feedback when needed!
Professor Juan Zaragoza, is a professor that cares about your academic success. He gives good feedback on homework, warm up assignments and quizzes. There is text book reading, however he provides power points on each chapter and highlights what is going to be on the next test. I would defiantly recommend Prof. Zaragoza.
It was a great class although math isnt my best subject. He cares about the success of his students and doesnt give much homework as long as you dont let it pile up.
Professor Zaragoza was a great professor who had very clear grading criteria. If you do the work you will be fine. There are only a few tests but you are able to have a formula sheet and one cheat sheet. I had trouble on the first few days by downloading the textbook, but he gave me an extension and was very understanding!
Professor is understanding of the stress that students have, clear communicator, and makes sure there are resources to benefit students who might be struggling.
He leaves feedback on every one of your assignments if you get something wrong, very understanding about your situations in real life, and it feels like he usually has some extra credit opportunity up for grabs. Very good professor!
Adrian Meza, Great teacher, his homework really holds your hand when learning by telling you easy examples for problems that will get difficult but because of the homeworks make for great notes its not a problem. just dont fall behind like I did I had 2 essay due when a test (test 2 was coming up) and it hurt my grade luckily the teacher has EX
This Professor is very helpful and goes at a great pace. There are a lot of assignments but its laid out very easily so you know when things are due and there are a lot of opportunities for each assignment to get the best grade you can. Just keep up with work and youll be fine, and if youre ever confused, there are a lot of recourses offered.
I truly recommend you take this professor. He cared about the class and ensured that you could follow along to the lesson. I enjoyed the fact that he tried to help always during this difficult time. He tried to help with extra credit and gave work that was accomplishable. His class was not too difficult and his grading was fair. A good teacher.
Dont slack off. I took his online math class and it was a fair amount of work that you have to keep up. If you don't do his hw it will put a strain on your grade. Its very easy to slack off and not do work since it is an online class. don't make my mistake. overall he is a good professor and I would take his class again.
The class is pretty strait forward. You join the zoom calls and hell do a lesson plan and some examples that connect with the packet you do on your own with the online textbook. On quizzes youre allowed to retake them for up to 5 times to try and improve your score. If youre thinking about signing up for his class, definitely do it.
Very easy class to navigate. Everything is through the online textbook for the online class so you have to buy it. Explains the lesson very well and provides lots of examples. Easy A math class.
Flexible and willing to work with you as a student. Makes the effort to meet you where you are if you feel uncertain about the material. Compassionate, definitely recommend.
I liked Prof Zaragoza for Math141. Like most college classes, there is lots of homework, so pay attention and ask questions. Use time management to not fall behind. Look at homework examples and ask questions to prep for tests. His class is challenging but definitely doable. I learned way more here than in H.S. Algebra I and II. Probably earned a B
I appreciated the clear assignment expectations and if I didnt do well on an assignment the first time, I had chances to go back and raise my grade on the assignment. Was able to move a head of the class at my own pace with the packet work and the elearning system was interactive and clear. Over all a good class.
I enjoyed math 100 with Prof Zaragoza. He made it easy to learn (even for me and I am horrible at math), his explanations and time he devotes to teaching is truly appreciated. Make sure to pay attention and be on top of your tasks and you will pass. Overall a great Professor and class.
PREFACE - THIS WAS DURING COVID - 19. I think overall the professor tried his best. He offers opportunities for extra credit as well as dropped quizzes and accepted late work at a penalty. Overall for "College Math" I found it difficult as it covers topics from Algebra to Calculus. Be ready to do a hefty amount of math. Best of luck!
If you're looking for an easy A, this isn't the class. But if you stay on top of the work its not that difficult at all. He gives extra credit opportunities and offers to drop some low quiz grades. There is many packets and work to be completed but if you review the lectures its pretty straight foward.
This class is by no means an easy A. Especially one that's in preparation for higher caliber math courses. With that being said, definitely stay ahead! Due to the unprecedented times, its critical to note that there are moments that self teaching is required but this is not to say that help is not available. Make sure to stay diligent and ahead.
This course is not difficult if you pay attention to lectures, attend the zoom meetings, and do all your work that is required. The professor is very nice and understanding. I would highly suggest taking this course. I would also recommend writing all the assignments down on an agenda to know when each assignment and to keep yourself on track.
This class was doable. I just suck at math which is why I got a low grade but other than that the professor is very chill and gives you days to do homework also for exams he has you do zoom.
As long as you do the homework and packets you'll understand the material. Lots of opportunity for extra credit so take advantage. Math is my worst subject and I ended up doing well in this class. Make sure to go to the tutoring and the zooms because they go over quiz and exam questions! You definitely have to put in work but nothing impossible.
Professor is super nice and caring and grades easy. He gives a lot of extra credit and even will take off up too 2 quizzes and 2 homeworks. As long as you turn everything in you will be fine. You can also retake quizzes up to 5 times. Lectures were boring but easy class.
he always emails back fast, the lectures are easy to understand, easy points to up your grade. A bit of a lot of notes but it's worth it.
Warm ups and homework due every week. Lectures on zoom twice a week. Extra credit opportunities and we had a tutor this semester.
This professor is nice and sets clear expectations of what needs to be done. Easy to reach and gives a lot of opportunities for success. The only thing that stumped me a few times were the warm ups that were due before we had started working on the relative chapter.
I took Professor Zaragoza's for Math 141 last semester. A mistake I made in this class was not keeping track of assignments. Another mistake I made was studying enough for exams. I would avoid these mistakes by writing in a planner and allowing additional time for studying. The resources available are you try it problems and Math Lab.
He is super patient and understanding. Definitely take his online class. I do not know how he grades in person classes.
The instructions were clear for every assignment and test. I will say that the amount of homework is tremendous and a lot of time must be dedicated to this class.
Definitely take this class.
Didn't respond to emails in a timely manner, even with follow up emails. Large amounts of homework. Spent a good portion of every meeting playing kahoot.
He is a good professor, explains everything in detail. He makes the class much easier and are able to understand every chapter discussed.
I personally didn't do well this class but that was my own fault. I prefer a different teaching style. This class is best suited for self-motivated students. There is a lot of homework that needs to be done to pass this class. The online version of his class is mostly lecture with a few things similar to Kahoot. If you need more help, ask him.
hes very kind and understanding
This class was hard due to the first full semester of all classes online. I think Zaragoza struggled with trying to get everything across the board over zoom. The tests require you studying. Don't expect this to be an easy course. Zaragoza is very caring and understanding, which is why I would recommend him. Zoom sucks but he helped.
This was my first semester in college and didn't help that this had to be online. Math isn't my strongest subject, But honestly Professor Juan Zaragoza didn't make it to difficult to learn. He does not give out a heavy amount of work and is very flexible. I would 100% recommend taking his class.
With having to take this class online, Professor Zaragoza was very flexible with our input and frequently asked how he can make our experience in the class better. Very considerate. Heavy on the lecture, but helpful.
super chill
good professor, exams are hard so you do need to study. He very understanding but cool. you will get chances to submit extra credit and there is some group assignments.
Professor Zaragoza is a great teacher who not only goes over your questions, but takes his time teaching each lesson. Very understanding and grades clearly. Just do the warm ups and homework everyday because you can easily slack off of those. Study for the tests and go to the meetings to help you better understand even of they aren't mandatory.
Professor Zaragoza is such a caring and understanding professor. You really have to always do the hwk and take advantage of the extra credit, his class is definitely super easy. Got to the lecture take notes he gives you all the info you need in order succeed. He might give a lot of work but you have to time manage that, but other than a good profes
He is the best math professor taken in Fullerton college. The most caring and understanding. He goes beyond to help his students in every way. Definitely recommend him. Please take him.
This is the first time Ive gotten an A in math since elementary school. Prof. Zaragoza really cares about his students and he gives so many chances. He tries very hard to make sure everyone understands the subject. The class was a bit boring at times but the work he gives is very helpful in understanding the concepts. 10/10 would reccomend.
He does many group quizzes, he does, however, have lecture recordings in case you were absent but he has check-ins and check-outs for points so ideally, you should be there. The content was ok, it was on the easier end (coming from a high schooler). He is very compassionate and gives leniency for technical issues and absences. Definitely take him!
Literally just stick to the course and you will pass. He makes it very simple and understanding and doesn't over complicate anything. If you just follow his requirements (which isn't much) then you'll be fine. He doesn't make it any harder than it has to be and just keeps it simple. Highly recommend this professor and would definitely recommend.
Zaragoza is a very kind and respectful teacher. My main issue with the course is that he seemed to be unaware of what time the class starts and ended. Would go over 10 minutes sometimes. His canvas setup was a bit jumbled. However, he is very responsive and will give you a lot of opportunities for a high grade. Uses Jamboard and kahoot often.
First he is a nice person and remembers names but he talks quietly and explains the steps to a math problem very slowly which is confusing.
Too much homework, office hours extremely limited. He has a currency in the class and he will not let you make up any work if you don't have any. Horribly slow during class, and lots of quizzes. Not very helpful whatsoever.
Professor Zaragoza really has no idea what he's teaching. He's a nice guy and is understanding but he has a very hard time explaing how to solve an equation. Even with the extra support in the class it really wasn't any help. If you have a hard time with math I wouldn't recommend taking him.
Professor Zaragoza is a very kind man but he overexplains everything which can be really confusing. You have to get a certain amount of S's in the classroom to pass the class. He gives out a lot of homework on MyMathLAb and also kind of takes a while to get back to you when you email him. You also get quizzes every Tuesday.
Cared about us learning material - professor I would take again & will remember for his efforts in teaching us. Used different teaching styles for different types of learners. Lots of work but felt it necessary for mastering material. Understanding & extended dates as appropriate, felt comfortable to ask questions & participate. Very good.
This professor is helpful in all ways. Even though he is sometimes late, he still helps his students with anything they are struggling with.
As long as you attend class for daily group work & submit your assignments (online homework & study guides/mock exams) you will do great in this class. The professor does his best to help each student to understand each topic before moving on.
For anyone taking Professor Zaragoza's class: he gives so much opportunity for extra credit. He's amazingly understanding and flexible with deadlines, but you will only hurt yourself by not staying on top of your homework and spending time outside class reviewing so don't fall behind. Take advantage of office hours if you're confused.
Just do the study guides, test very similar to the study guides. A lot of group work in class which helps. Overall he is a good professional who wants his students to pass the class as he gives a lot of extra credit and allows test corrections.
The test are very similar to the study guides. Which makes studying for the class easy as you know what will be on the test. Overall he is a good professor who wants his students to pass the class as he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. Also a lot of group work in class which helps.
The best professor EVER! I took him for trigonometry w/support and now College algebra w/support! His lectures are so in depth and is always ready to help.He accepts feedback in order for his students to learn better and feel more comfortable! I really loved his strategies in order to help us with learning.I would definitely recommend taking him !!
Mr. Zaragoza is a very kind professor, however his teaching style was a bit unorganized. He always accepts late work, but staying caught up with homework helps with quizzes. I wish the test study guides were more similar to the test, beware there will always be a few problems on the test that are NOT on the study guide.
Test are like study guides which makes it easy to study. He gives a lot of extra credit too. Overall a good professor who wants his students to pass the class.
Professor Juan Zaragoza is a great Math professor. He allows for students to work together and guides them through the process to be able to get the answer. Also, he gives various ways to obtain extra credit and help your overall grade. The study guides he provides are also of great help to prepare for the exams. Overall he is a great professor.
The professor is very understanding and offers a lot of support. There are many extra credit assignments and resources to bring your grade up.
What I like about the professor is that he takes his time and go over the certain subjects. The professor also makes us go in groups to go over a question he assigns at first it seemed a bit tedious, but it helps a lot communicating with others. It also helps us understand something from the communication with the other students in the groups.
Professor Zaragoza really cares about the success of every student. He wants to hear from the students what works and what doesn't work. When teaching a difficult subject he implements different techniques and exercises to accommodate any learning style. In order for this to be effective, students must engage in group activities and exercises.
He worked at of the textbook but the physical textbook itself was not required. Classwork assignments were on paper. He would lecture, and then send us to the whiteboard to work on problems with a group. Homework assignments are online (pearson).
This was my favorite class in college so far. It was amazing having a professor who constantly analyzed how his class was doing and then adjusted his teaching methods to us. He implemented group exercises, games, color-coded notes, and concept sheets. He also offered plenty of extra credit. This class is very interactive and that helped a lot.
He's nice but he doesn't know how to teach and at best he's inconsistent. Too much homework and most are worth nothing. Messy lectures, quizzes every week, and extra credit that's worth 0. 5%. 35 enrolled, 22 had to drop, and 13 remained to which half of them failed. Four students got an A by cheating and using AI. Overall he's mid and unorganized
Professor Zaragoza is nice but he never taught our class. The last week of class lectures was rushed and instead of allowing students to regain points for points they missed, like he promised he gave us a final on the rushed lectures and I failed my final because of it. Do not take this professor, if you would like a professor that teaches you.
He's not bad... You just have to make sure that you are doing all the homework or else you may forget some things that could be really important later on. But he gives you a study guide for the big tests so as long as you make sure to study those you will be golden.
He's a bit of a tough grader on tests however he does offer lots of extra credit and he's always down to help. I had a bit of a tough time understanding what he was trying to teach at times but that's just partially because I had no idea what I was doing in the class. He takes a while to grade stuff since he teaches multiple classes.
Don't get me wrong, he's a cool guy. But to put into perspective, our final is tomorrow, and he's grading stuff from February. Almost nothing is graded as of now, so it's hard to figure out your potential grade. He prides himself on extra credit, but doesn't even put it in when you do it. Also told us to write this so another quiz would be dropped.
Great professor gives a ton of extra credit but is very late to grade quizes
This is a class where you can get an A if you work for it, and the professor gives you chances to better your grade. If you want to understand the concepts well and get a good grade, take his class. Also, his classes are fun and engaging, you will benefit from the group quizzes, and gain points by showing up and working with others! BEST CHOICE!!!
This is one of the worst classes I have ever been apart of. Teacher showed up 5-10 min late for the entire semester. He took weeks, sometimes months to input grades into canvas. His grading scale was very poor. He wouldnt even start teaching for the first 40 min of each class as he was setting up groups via playing cards. Avoid this teacher please.
I took this professor during the first half of my last semester, and he was incredibly difficult to keep up with. He would always jump from one topic to the next, you could hardly understand what he was saying because he would speak very monotone, not very helpful, and the homework didn't even align at all with the lectures. WOULD NOT recommend
Professor Zaragoza made it very easy to learn in his class. He would send us up to the white board to work on problems as groups which made learning and staying focused a lot easier. I strongly recommend taking his class.
He allows for students to work together and guides them through the process to be able to get the answer. Also, he gives various ways to obtain extra credit and help your overall grade. The study guides he provides are also of great help to prepare for the exams. Overall he is a great professor.
Great class even better professor
Very easy class and chill professor. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities for test grades
Many extra credit opportunities as well as many chances to improve your grade. As long as you keep up with material you will pass this class. Would recommend for a math
Very understanding professor. Give many resources for help.
I have not taken math for over four years and I would recommend this professor the grading is a bit difficult but he offers extra credit and he also offers to do the quizzes three times he gets your final quiz, which is the best scores I also liked is that we did group activities I learned a lot from the class. I received a B.
Professor Zaragoza was fair, professional and always willing to help and listen to any issues I might have had this semester. He was prompt in replying when there was issues with the online grading system and always let us know that he was available to help. I had not taken a Math class is over 20 years before this class, and he made it doable!
Pros: - No Textbook Material Required - Extra Credit Opportunities - Lenient on missing/ late work - Kindhearted professor Cons: - Heavy Workload, at times Overwhelming - Large amount of Homework
Great professor Juan Zaragoza cares about his students and their benefits
I enjoyed the class
very amazing, class is easy and doesn't take long to do assignments.
Great class, although my 93 went down to an 85 after the final exam. The class was great and the video lessons made it super easy to understand the material. Would take this professor again.
Juan Zaragoza is genuinely an awesome guy who cares about all of his students passing the class! You can really feel his passion for math and teaching in all of his assignments.
The professor demonstrates exceptional professional abilities, particularly in their teaching style and their ability to convey material clearly. Their teaching approach is engaging and well-structured, ensuring that complex concepts are broken down into easily understandable components.
He really cares about his students and provides many opportunities for extra credit. I'd definitely recommend!
Great professor gives extra credit all the time. Is easy to understand, doesn't grade super hard.
Very helpful teacher with great teaching
Professor Zaragoza provided a lot of resources and video that really helped students with different level to understand the topic. The concepts in the chapters are very useful in real life. The professor was caring and inspiring, which made my scarcest subject even more enjoyable. I would definitely take this class again.
Professor Zaragoza's MATH151 class can be challenging, but if you put in the work, you'll be rewarded. The lectures are engaging, and the group quizzes are a great way to learn. For study prep, tools like unstuck ai and the textbook are super helpful.
10/10 very nice and understanding. Very good when it comes to turning in late work and explains what we go over very well.
Easy to talk to and ask for any help. His time management isnt that great but he will tell you that. I just didn't understand anything it just didn't click for me, but he does offer quite a bit extra credit to help with grade.
Easy to talk to and ask for help. His time management skills aren't the best but he is fully aware of that. Gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit. If you are someone like me and you just don't get it or it never clicks for you, he's not the best at giving you reassurance or maybe a different view of things.
Teaching style can be difficult to understand and at time unclear.
