Take his class if you want to learn Math and get a good grade. He knows what he's doing and he's willing to help if you put in the effort.

Good and very clear. Used the book. Quizzes everyday on the homework from prior day. So a big help to do homework/ study problems. Would take him again!

The set up of this class is ideal. He teaches you only what you will be tested on in a very clear logical order. Each class starts w/ a quiz on what you did the last class & is preceded by examples almost identical to the quiz so its fresh in your min. HW is loosely assigned -you don't have to turn any in, he allows a cheatsheet for tests. nice guy

took this class over the summer. pretty easy, quiz everyday based on the previous day material, hw is a reading assignment (4 questions tops and he collects it) and problems that he doesnt collect, weekly 5 problem set aswell(5 problems)and the final exam. he explains everything clearly and is extremely helpful! take him hes awesome!

Not the best math teacher at Skyline, but not the worst either. His lectures and examples are clear for the most part. Quizzes and tests are fairly easy as long as you bone-up on the stuff you didn't understand the first time around. Sometimes answers questions with another question, which can be obnoxious. I would take him again if I had to.

This professor KNOWS HOW TO TEACH. I am not a math person AT ALL and he made it interesting. If you get a bad grade, it is b/c you are LAZY, not BC of him. P. Loeffler tells you EXACTLY what you need to know, and it is not true that he doesn't care about students. He is organized, interesting lecturer, and very fair. Do the work, and do well!

I thought he's a good teacher. He can get a little strict, but overall, he's a very chill guy. This class isn't too hard; however, everything depends on you. There were a lot of people who dropped and also a good amount of people who passed, so it really depends on your work ethic and interest to learn. Would take him again!

Good professor, he's a funny guy but you need to put a good amount of effort in the class to do well.Helpful but you need to ask. Easy to fall behind if you don't keep up with weekly assignments. Learn to master you calc you'll need it extensively! Weekly quizzes are easy if you know the material. Gives partial credit which is a plus!

We can study the full year's course into a short summer. And my professor is cool. I like the extend info. about pick's theorem and the Heron of Alexandria.I like the stories about them, like the country of pythagorean. I think it's a easy class, by letting us to write our answers to the white board, we share ideas and make the class more fun.

Take Prof Loeffler's class. He is very thorough on going over problems and what he expects on quizzes. He grades fairly. If you take his class focus equally on the math and on explaining things in statistical terms. The later is probably where people feel slighted in grades, but it is probably the most important part. Would take his class again.

Professor Jude Loeffler is a tubular dude!

Took his class over the summer and for a higher level math course, he made the topic easy to follow. His practice exams are a great resource to use when studying. He also has classwork assignments at every lecture, so you need to be there to complete them.

He's a chill teacher, just make sure you pay attention in class and get your work in on time.

I feel like if I had any other teacher for statistics, I wouldn't understand the content as well as I would if you're my teacher. You are a tough grader meaning you're exact and precise on which points you reward or deduct. As a senior, I will admit, I have thought about skipping classes, but never statistics. I know that if I skip stats I'll fail.

I live in the San Mateo area so its a bit of a drive for me to go to Skyline in order to take this professors class but it was well worth it. I took his Math 251/Calc 1 during the summer so it was more compacted than most classes but it was for sure more enjoyable his HBA assignments(basically read some textbook stuff) really helped a lot.

Taking his statistics class is a great experience. He teaches very clearly and it is not impossible to succeed in his class. He makes sure that his students understand the material by offering his help outside of class and leaving responses on your work so that you know how to improve.

This website creates ratings that are biased. Possible students of Mr. Loeffler's class have no idea if the responses previous students are posting are honest. Many ratings could be skewed because of response bias. They realize that future students of his could be reading the ratings and so they may alter what they write about him.

Mr. Loeffler really wants his students to succeed and is always there to help. He spends time in class on the homework so students can ask him questions. He grades tough and looks at the little things, so it is important that you make sure every detail is in your answer.

JOIN HIS OFFICE HOURS it really really helps. For online class he gives conceptual based tests and the homework's aren't bad. Make sure your notation is really good, that's the most important. Great prof overall tho

Calc II is a lot of work always. The class is gonna be hard no matter the prof. He's good at setting up his summer course, all online, good pacing.
