Good teacher, your grade is based on class participation and tests-which she gives a study guide that is exactly the test! Take this class -its interesting and easy!
Very easy. Basically, she reads out of the book in class. She gives you a study guide before each test. Just review the study guide & you will do fine!
her tests are indeed right off the study guide so just "memorize" and understand d' material and you should be fine. no other intimidating research projects and stuff. just attend classes regularly especially when she assigns a 45-point in-class
breen is a really good teacher. her class is an easy A. just show up in class...u go over the study guide at least 5 times in class and that's exactly what the exam is...also be in class for easy 10 pt classwork. not hard at all.
Excellent Teacher! Come to class and you'll get an A. She explains things very well and the class is alot of fun. Learned a lot!!
this class is an easy A! her tests are exactly the study guide, same order and almost word for word. class feels like you're in 2nd grade, but its cool. she hypnotizes you too!
This class was sooooooooooo easy!!!! Like the other person said, her tests are exactly like her study guides. If you memorize the study guide you will ace all the tests.
her class was byfar the easiest class ever, you go over the study guide a million times b4 the test so no need to study if you pay attention in class. no home work or projects, but easy gradeschool inclass 10pt assignments, but random so show up to class. tests are exactly the study guide except with multiple choice answers. easy A definitely.
By far the easiest class of my life - no outside assignments, both tests were take-home and grading scale for an A was 82% and above. You'd have to try not to get an A! With that said though, you don't learn very much and she didn't seem to be all that knowledgeable about psych concepts and wasn't very interested in engaging in psych discussions.
This was easier than my high school psych class. Didn't really learn all that much. Hypnosis exercise was kind of neat (she's a certified hypnotherapist). If you're looking for an easy A, this is the class for you. As long as you pay attention in class you'll get it. I got 100% on a test where I didn't even crack the book just from good note-taking
Easier than the psych I took in high school. Doesn't harass you over absences; however, if you're a psych major, I'd take it with a different teacher because she doesn't get very in depth. Recommended if it's just for a gen ed
The easiest psychology class you will ever take. It is pretty much impossible not to get an A unless your an idiot.
Her grading scale was totally weird. this lady doesnt know how to teach. shee changes her mind after 2 classes. she didnt show up twice. If u really wonna learn something, do not take her. Her study guide was not that good. i would not take her again, not even think about it.
The easiest class you will ever take. She gives you a study guide and the questions on the study guide go in the same order as on the test. So memorize the study guide and you will ace every test. She also offers a ton of extra credit. Besides for being easy, she is a great teacher!!!! :)
Very easy. Just show up to class and you'll do good. No final and no midterm. Vary fair.
Way easy class but you don't learn anything.She never gets to the point.There are 6 tests in one semester.Really nice lady.Her in-class assignments are where the points are.If you can get the urge to come and stay awake then you will do great in her class.I never read anything in the book,my friend never even bought the book!
Very nice teacher, loved the class, and the tests were easy and wentin the same order as the study guide. She has some interesting in-class group activities that were fun and easy. I would recommend this class to anyone.
I missed a few classes from being sick, and she was not helpful or supportive when I tried to catch up.
She's a nice and good intentioned person, but her class is confusing. Her quizzes are consistent w/ the textbook in most cases, but she throws in unreasonable questions. Many test questions aren't even in the book, or the question covers material that wasnt taught yet. B/c of a lack of organization, even the smartest students may not get an A.

worst teacher ever! don't learn anything in class.. 50% of grade is final.. i wouldn't be surprised if everyone failed the final nevertheless the class.. someone should just confront her and tell her how we "REALLY" feel.. she's horrible! she sucks all the fun out of psych!
Never came to class with a handout, video, power point, over head, etc. Would read the major headings for the chapter and we would leave. Made us do the key people, terms, and chapter test for EVERY chapter of the book (it came out to about 50 pages). Also, talks like you already know a lot about psychology people/terms.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!! EASY "A" IN THE CLASS, DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR
Horrible teacher. She knows nothing and you do not learn anything in the classes. all the grade is is mindlessly writing down definitions in a spiral. Easy class but horrible teacher.
If you would like to learn something, do not bother taking this teacher. She is extremely easy. With only 4 project/papers to turn in, I would only attend on those days to turn stuff in. Otherwise, she has the class teach the material ourselves, and when she decides to "teach", she simply reads out of the book.Oh, and don't waste $ on the book.
Honestly, I don't think you should qualify this woman as professor. I learned nothing in this class, if you could call it that, and was forced to write down endless vocabulary to teach myself because she was too lazy, or too incompetent to do her job. A typical class lasted 17 minutes and comprised of us reading aloud the definitions in the book.
If you want an easy A, this is who you want...Raised my gpa... Need more general ed professors like her.. LOL
This "teacher" is awful. She treats her college students like elementary students. Class is usually a half hour, and consists of the students presenting the material from the book or Prof Breen reading straight from the book. Easy A, but pointless class and awful teacher
Easy A. If u need this class just take her cuz u'll get an easy A guarenteed. Goin to class kinda sucked cuz if ur lucky it will last about 20min so kind of a waste of time. The only thing u do for the class is write terms out of the book. Not hard at all but very pointless. DONT take her class if u have a passion for psych cuz u wont learn a thing
She is a great teacher. I would take her again. She is very knowledgable. She uses technology in the classroom, has students do observations, participate in activites. She provides students with reviews for tests.
I enjoyed her class. She incorporates a number of different ways in which to evaluate students. In speaking to her about a situation I had she was understanding.
I LOVE THIS TEACHER. She provided students the opportunity to do powerpoint presentations, write lesson plans, and write two self-reflective papers. Our class was only 50 minutes, three days a week and students came from another building causing them to be late for the presentations which interupted those presenting.
"Best Professor" award. She has organized the course information so that I can get a good foundation for other courses that I take in this area. For once I have a good understanding.
I don't get it. She's a good teacher. I can't believe some students comments. A textbook wss mandatory but some students didn't even buy them? They didn't read? Didn't want to learn the termonology in the field. This isn't high school. My writing wasn't so great and she refered me to the Writing Center for help before grading my paper.
Ms. Breen really knows her stuff. I started the class with a pre-test and received high points. I would like to take more classes with her. She regularly offers opportunities to evaluate the class during the term. She cares.
What I liked about this class was all the activities, short quzzes and the videos. I learned about cultural differences and the study of the human mind.
There was nothing I didn't like about this class. I like the group work, how we thourougly went over each chapter because it helped me to prepare for the test. I learned about the different psych. perspectives, Zimbrdo's prinson study and about the various pschological disorders.
I liked the activities and handouts. I was excited about the mini instructionals to start so we could participate much more.
As a future teacher I thought we had good discussions.Presentations in the form of mini instructionals were great. Videos were thought provoking. The material was very organized and emphasized important topics. Great pace/time was used wisely. Notes distributed were helpful and so was using PowerPoint. Class activites match up with the chapters.
This class was important to me because it's my major--education. It offered great practic for the future, gave me insight into how teachers need to prepare. I wrote lesson plans like I was actually a teacher. She let use talk about personal experiences and to also write about them. ALL WILL LOOK GREAT ON MY RESUME!!!
if you are a desi,hoping for an A for psyco TAKE HER she is easy as hell. class is kind of boring she just read the book and she also make students read that too its kind of annoying but i didn't go to that class half of the days i still got an A :) no test or quiz just two finals one is take home and it was pretty easy
This teacher is a joke. But if you want a ridiculously easy psych class, take her. It took her 3 weeks just to get to chapter 2. She is very disorganized and she goes off topic a lot. For the midterm, she went around the room and we answered questions together. If you actually want to learn something though, don't take her. You will be disappointed
This is the easiest teacher I have ever had. She gives no tests or quizzes during the semester, just a midterm and final. But she is really disorganized. She never puts the right chapter # on study guides, due dates aren't clear on assignments, and so on...She just rants in class and I feel like I really didn't learn much. Kinda disappointing...
worst teacher EVER! yeah she gives As to like everyone but you will only learn ptless facts mainly about cats. only grades midterm paper apa style and talking in class, if you want to learn something about the class your taking with her PICK A DIFFERENT TEACHER.
She's VERY disorganized and doesnt keep up with the syllabus AT ALL!! We didnt even get through all the chapters that were neccessary for the tests, so instead she had the midterm done IN CLASS. If you want to actually learn about this topic, dont take her. Shes very nice, but not the best teacher anymore.
Disorganized. You don't get hw or quizzes or tests.(Don't be fooled) Only grades are 4 reflections, research activity, attendance, mid-term, and final, so points are HEAVILY weighted. Syllabus isn't followed. Class is confused half of the time. She talks about chapters fast in class so keep up. Overall don'take her. She's nice, but can't teach well
Very easy teacher class times includes nothing relevent to what you are actually supostoe be learning. weird teaching ethics but a very sympathetic lady, no homework or test, or quizes just mid-and final sugestions do the reading
If you need structure...DON'T TAKE HER. She doesn't follow her syllabus, uses outlines from her other classes that don't coordinate w/the book, skips around subjects, no test or quizzes except for midterm/final...so you don't feel prepared for them. If you want to learn something, don't take her. I got an A...I have no idea how I did it.
I and everyone else is this class hated it!! She would never explain a thing and would jump around in the text book assuming we already knew the material. Don't take this class. We never had homework or quizzes which means you would have to do really well on the mid-term and final to get a good grade.
Probably THE WORST teacher I've ever had. I learned more in my high school psych class than this one. She's disorganized. She goes off topic all the time. I found this class a joke.
If you only want a good mark take her. If you want to learn, find someone else. She gives 100% for all but grades but tests if you try (tests are also insultingly easy). I even want to take the class over again because I had zero incentive to try in the class. It was also the first time I fell asleep in a class. She didn't even strike me as smart.
WORST teacher EVER. She is disorganized, does not stay on topic, likes to talk about her own life and makes class awkward. I felt she was rude and unprofessional. It was very hard to sit through her class. Find another teacher!!!
She is incredibly disorganized. Her lectures are useless. She basically recites a PowerPoint slide to the class for about 15 seconds and then quickly moves onto the next. Her writing is illegible. Overall very bad. Do not take her unless you're okay with teaching yourself. There is one midterm and one final. That's it. Good luck.
Little to no learning going on during class. Material is presented in a very confusing way. Lectures seem unplanned & lack basic structure. Reviews for tests consist of going around the room asking students which terms they "like" and "dislike". VERY condescending toward students with questions. How this woman even earned her Ph.D is beyond me...
Ms. Breen is very organized. For each lesson she provides students with an advanced organizer. I think this is good because some students don't read the textbook or show up to class all the time.
I really enjoyed her class. She offers related activities so that we don't only know class material but something about ourselves.
The mid-term test that we took gave students an opportunity to increase their score by mixing multiple choice with short answer essay. I like the variation. It gave me a chance to increase my score
I enjoyed the midterm review, not many teachers willtake the time to do that. I really love this class. I have learned a lot this semester and would like to take her again.
Prof. Breen is an excellent teacher. She requires students to take personal responsiblity for their learning. She gives students opportunities to make up for bad grades because some students are short on study skills.
Professor Breen likes face to face contact with students. She uses the textbook that students pay a lot for. She would rather do that than read from a powerpoint while students sit in the dark. Students are required to interact with her lecture/discussions. This is the best way to learn!!!
Prof. Breen is a great teacher. I find her to be very enjoyable. She includes students in her lecture/discussions which make us think and respond. I have learned a lot from her because she not only uses the textbook but also give real life examples.
I LOVED HER, what a great teacher. She goes above and beyond when it comes to help her students. Easy class. She loves to hear your opinion and listen to you. Group work almost every week. Little homework, never takes points off. Test are easy if you study! Highly recommend her! TAKE HER
Judith breen was a fantastic teacher,a bit odd but extremely nice she truly cares about her students and will do anything to help them. she does talk A LOT so be prepared shes a very good teacher. I would deffinantly recommend taking her.
DON'T BUY THE BOOK its a waste of money you will never use it. She is a complete ditz and didn't even know how to calculate our test scores when we asked her. class is really confusing and all depended on attendance because she always did these weird activities. never gave us homework or a study guide so tests were really difficult to study for.

Overall nice woman. Can be rude and inconsiderate in morning classes, though. Very little chances for points, never uses textbook, reads from the powerpoints, the only tests were the midterm and the final exam (a group presentation).
I do not recommend this professor. Very rude and has ZERO tolerance for whispering in class. If you get caught once she'll call you out and move you. Talks about herself a lot and goes off topic easily. Also will subliminally talk about you in class by stating vague statements that pertain to you. Dropped without question.
This teacher is one of the worst teachers I've ever had. I love learning about psych and all she did was talk about her life and go off on tangents that were completely irrelevant to the topics in the book. Class was mandatory and, because of that, very painful. I would not recommend you take this teacher. She is a colossal waste of time.
I mean it when I say this is the worst teacher I have ever had. Honestly, she is too old to still be teaching. She was very cranky and I dreaded her class. She handed out the tests and we'd all look around like, "What is this?"

super easy. she is a sweetheart and is so nice. her tests are not hard at all. however, i learned a lot from her. it is a lot out of the book, but the lectures were easy.
The beginning of each class begins with her thinking we are 5 days ahead of what we are. She is very interesting..
Where do i begin with her. first of all she can not remember what days she puts tests or quizzes and the students can change them by letting her know a different day because she cannot remember a thing. The textbook is her life, that's what she goes by and when asked a question she doesn't give you the answer. she comes up with something else.
overall she's an easy teacher and literally reads straight out of the text book. she hates when you take while she's talking. if I had to be honest if you are majoring in psychology I wouldn't take her as a teacher because you really don't learn much. she's very different and doesn't remember anything. I probably would only take her again for an A.
Would not recommend this instructor for anyone majoring in psychology. Lectures are all out of the book which isn't very helpful. You're basically teaching yourself in this class. Not clear at all. I will say it is an easy A. You can get away with skipping, she lets you make up work and quizzes. Attendance counts attendance towards your grade.
If you want to teach yourself and study constantly out of the book, take this class. She's an easy grader but she is very boring, so if you have a real interest in psych don't take her. She reads out of the textbook a lot and barely tells you what will be on the exam. She's forgetful too. Only 4 exams.

She wastes time by going off on random tangents not related to the material. She never uses any slides or lecture materials outside of the book. If it wasn't for the graded attendance it would make more sense to stay home and reed the book then to go to class. You would be better of with an online course then her class.
This class overall was extremely boring and useless. You read through the textbook everyday and makes students participate by reading the vocab. I loved this teacher. My class mates were mostly the problem. When she tried to teach they would talk over her and get mad when she told them to stop. They even were trying to get a petition to get her fired cause they didn't like her. They could of drop the class or act like adults but no just kids.
This lady stopped caring about 2/3 the way through the semester when someone in one of her other classes told her she wasn't a good teacher. She went from giving extra credit for attending class to taking away points because she was butt hurt. Changed the third test chapters the class before the test because she didn't want to give a final ect..
The class itself was easy. Read along in the book and take notes, and you'll be fine. The teacher.. as someone else said, probably taking her during the same semester as me, once someone from another class called argued with her she really lost her motivation. She was moody and changed around the syllabus. I liked the class, but not her.
Judith Breen is a really nice lady and her psychology class is not hard at all. You will pass as long as you show up, study and do your work. I would recommend taking her if you are self motivated and want an easy A. If you are a serious student you should take a tougher instructor instead.
