It was a very "interesting" class. If you are one who loves to write and talk to professors, than this is the class for you. She comes up with some odd essay topics, but as long as you get your point across than you should do fine. If you want a class that just wastes time than this is it.

Her class discussions usually run off on a tangent but they are interesting nonetheless. Her essays are fair because you can write about whatever you want to write about, as long as you stay on the main topic. Even if you aren't a good writer, she has private discussions with each student about their papers, so she's helpful. I recommend her.

I wish I never took her. She is SO difficult to understand and she needs better teaching skills and communication skills. She didn't expand any of my writing skills, and only emphasized how to do a work cited page.

Dont get on her bad side. If you participate in her class, you will be fine. If you dont, then god help you. I was not on her good side and she purposely failed me in the class by giving me an F. Its a good thing I appealed for a grade change in which english department gave me a C. Even they admitted she was unfair in her grading. DO NOT TAKE HER

Under the circumstances of the novel coronavirus this professor was unprepared and conducted the class via email and nothing more, which lacked a sense of clarity and coherency. I was able to complete and submit all my assignments to the best of my ability and she still managed to fail me off of whether I was "present" or not VIA EMAIL. Horrible.

Horrible professor, she was extremely disorganized and taught the class terribly. She was constantly rude to her students, and had zero understanding for students struggling due to the pandemic. Gave in class essays like the students were in high school, how am I supposed to write my final paper in an hour? Terrible class, DO NOT TAKE.

Easy grader. She makes her class seem more difficult than it is, but as long as you follow the criteria and are a decent writer, you'll get a good grade. She's an unreasonable person. At times she'd yell at her students for minor issues. She gets hung up over MLA format. She also takes minor occurrences as personal offense. Also bad at technology.

Waste of time. I don't know how she was in Baruch but online... oh my. She never shares her screen to show us what the heck she is talking about and she grades more on grammar and MLA format than the amount of detail a student puts in their essay. A professor I HIGHLY recommend is Professor Oke. Yes she goes off topic but she knows what she's doing

IDK if being online has made a difference on the quality of class, but this class sucks. She often goes on tangents during class that have nothing to do with the topics we are supposed to be discussing. I have learned nothing new in this class. I could have passed this class without attending a single lesson, but you'll fail if you try that. GL ppl

Professor Entes is not good professor. She is very rude, not kind, or caring at all. Her classes are often just her going off topic and getting sidetracked. She never really gets to the point of the lesson. The Professor has a habit of giving out assignments that have general, open ended prompts and then grading them so harshly. Bad experience.

Professor Entes is an extremely harsh grader who has no valid justifications for the grades she gives. She grades on the basis of MLA format ONLY and rarely grades based off of quality of content. Overall, avoid her class even if you're a good writer.

This professor is odd I think she is stuck on how people taught in the past with whiteboards because when it comes to technology.... yikes. Furthermore, her essay questions are one answer questions. Meaning in order to achieve the number of pages asked you have to bs. One question was is the boy Asian or Caucasian? (3-page min) like what?????

She's more of an MLA format professor rather than an English professor. You're graded on 3 essays (MUST FOLLOW MLA FORMAT) and 3 BB Discussion Boards (DO NOT SUBMIT DURING CLASSTIME YOU WILL GET A 0). Make sure you participate enough times because that's part of your grade. The content of your writing means very little besides MLA format.

I honestly really enjoyed having Professor Entes! You do have to be pretty decent at writing to get good grades, however, she is very clear about her paper instructions. She expects you to not repeat the same mistakes and follow directions. Make sure to follow MLA format. She gave me great feedback and genuinely cared for my writing!

I don't know why she has such a low rating here at here... She is a great professor with clear course organization and grading criteria(you will find them in the syllabus and course schedule on Blackboard.) Make sure you participate in class and follow the direction when you write essays and discussion boards, you will be fine.

I loved her class, and I find myself missing her immensely!I understand why her rating here is low,as some of my classmates didn't even do the bare minimum she asked of us.She is one of the most intelligent individuals I've had the pleasure of meeting. She will always hold a special place in my heart as my favorite professor, and favorite New Yorker.
