This Profesor is the best teacher on campus. Take her for Enc1101 and 1102 one of the best english teachers you can ever have, nice personality and lots of fun in her class.

Highly Recommend!She is not completely clear/structured when giving assignments which tended to cause confusion among the class but will take time to explain further if you ask for clarity,with a good attitude that makes her an overall good prof.She is also flexible with everyone about making up assignments and her discussions are VERY INTERESTING!

This professor convinced me to change my major to English, She's great...too good for Miami Dade College. She explains the stories extremely well and has you work in groups to make things easier. Great sense of humor.

She's an amazing teacher. I love how she teaches and she's a sweetheart! At first she may seem a bit awkward, but once you warm up to her, you'll love her. She's also very supportive. If you're a talented writer, she'll notice and support you and offer you great advice. Take her! You won't regret it (unless you're very lazy).

see is an excellent professor im not good at english so i did not pass with a high grade, She is very into what she does attendance is mandatory i took her in the fall and it seems the days i missed were the days she taught alot. Overall you can BS in this class.

She is a good teacher, but just not the kind that I enjoy. She is way too dependent on the internet, and I just can't make myself remember to look at all her websites. The structure for the research paper is intended to help you not procrastinate, but it just made it worse for me. She's okay.

She is so AWESOME. Her class is a step by step teaching method. She walks you throughthe entire process and if you are a great writer she keeps you motivated. She did not assign alot of work but you were obligated to complete in class assignments.

I won't lie, you do have to work in her class, but she takes you step by step through all the process. She is the nicest teacher ever.. I recommend her 100% for ENC1101 & ENC1102 =)

She is the best professor/teacher I have ever had. They don't come better than her. You do have to work in her class but will make sure you are doing well, especially if show effort. I will wait till next spring to take 1102 just so I can take it with her.

THE BEST TEACH AT MIAMI DADE! I took her for ENC1101 + ENC1102. She is fair, an easy grader, funny, and she does not give alot of work. A few essays in class, maybe 3 papers, a research paper (on any topic) and your must review the work of your peers. GREAT TEACHER, if you don't take her -- you're missing out!

SHE IS THE GREATEST ENGLISH TEACHER EVER!!! Her classes are dynamic, you never get bored or sleepy! SHe takes english to another level with compclass and criterion! She even lets you use Criterion to submit papers for other classes! Im definitively taking her for 1102!

Took 1101 and 1102 with her, got a B on both. She is not an easy teacher but she is definitely a good one. She will go over and over a paper, untill you feel comfortable with it, which you might never do.

Professor Tarver is care, funny and very helpful. She gives meaningful work and goes through the writing process with her students. She is there to teach and that is exactly what she does. Mrs.Tarver is a good teacher, she has a great personality and is flexible , but she does give a lot of work, i was going crazy with so much work an then work from my other teachers as well. But yea if you are a procrastinator do not take her.

Online quizzes and essays. Expect to write because it is an English class! She is a great lady. I learned a lot in this class.

Its a class that requires attention and being awake. Its English a subject not everyone find interesting but she makes easy.I had to write many essays online and had the chance to improve my grade by correcting them . I also had to do a research paper which she teaches step by step. Currently taking ENC1102 with her.

Great teacher. She is very helpful and there wasn't a final. The only students that were given a test at the end of the semester were the students that didn't understand anything. We worked in groups which i found to be fun.If you don't do your work she would put you in a group with the other students who didn't do their work.

If you're a good writer this class will be easy! You write about 3 paper but don't get me wrong you focus a lot on those paper and have to revise them several times and you have to revise other peoples essay. Its a lot of work but its honestly worth it at the end. You learn a lot and she's very caring and always in a good mood :) very clear on hw

Loved her class!!! She's an amazing teacher, there was no final unless you do bad on the grammar quizzes then she'll give you one so you can pass the score for the quizzes. She's very understanding, if you can't make it to class make sure you e-mail her so she knows. Overall she's amazing and I love her. you wont regret it !!

She's awesome!! The only complaint I have is that she enforces attendance & sometimes we don't do anything productive. I would've rather taken this class as a mini term. She lets u do her work in class. do it and u will b fine. Ask for help if you need it.

She is one of the best teacher I had, I took ENG 1101 and ENG 1102 with her and to tell you the Truth , I wasn't the best student, but I came to her, and she helped me to pass the class. She is always there for you.

Tarver is awesome. Ask her for help she will go up and beyond for you. Come to class and do what you have to do. She does assign a lot of work but you will be a much better writer by the end of the course. Likes to revise like crazy but I loved that . You will work in this course but you'll actually be better in the end. She makes class fun.

Attendence is mandatory she'll drop if you don't show up. A lot of just revising essays and making corrections on papers. She doesn't use a textbook. Some lectures throughout the semester, basically it's just writing a draft, revising it, then turn it into a paper, revise the paper and turn it into a 6 and repeat. By the way It's all done in groups

She's an amazing teacher like I'm grateful I had her this semester. It's mostly revising your essays and your group members essays as well. She does give a lot of work but it is easy and she does everything she can to help her students

She's great. Show up to class and make sure you talk to her if you are going to miss. There is a lot of writing but it is nothing too crazy. Easy quizzes and gives opportunity for extra credit! She puts you in groups... you want to make sure you are there when your group meets. I would definitely take her again!

This professor is very understanding. I had a family issue throughout the spring semester and she allowed me to turn assignments in late. Overall, she does give a lot of homework and there is only 1 main paper due.

She is so caring and concerning of her students; especially if you talk to her in private about a situation you may be having. If anything, she wants all her students to pass. She barely gives out homework. The only real homework you would get is to write your papers and peer review them. All of the quizzes are easy A's. No textbook needed.

I really enjoyed my semester with Professor Tarver. I did not like that she expected me to be a full time author just because I like to write. I am a chemistry major not an english major. Just trying to get an "A" and not have to write or analyze a short story ever again in my life. Her research projects are fun. She gives a lot of extra credit.

Very interesting and clear on what she wanted us to do. Very serious on attendance. Mad chill, 4 papers, no final, few quizzes. Would take again, mad facts.

The only real homework you would get is to write your papers and peer review them, others include quizzes and essays to read at home. Such a cool teacher, I love her. Group projects also included.

Professor Tarver is an excellent teacher. To pass the class, attendance is mandatory since we do quizzes which she help us with. She gives a lot of extra credit for those who are falling behind in grade point in class. I got an A and I think it was some what easy and Im talking her for enc1102. ��

Professor Tarver is amazing but you must be on top of your work and do it on time and read instructions, she doesn't like excuses and just expects some effort from the students. Be polite. Must attend class. Many quizzes done in class and she gives all the answers. Lots of homework and papers, but possible to pass with an A even in 6 weeks class.

Professor Taver is a great professor. She gives many opportunities to get a good grade. If you're coming to class on time and putting in an effort, it's an easy passable class. She's also very funny and warm, a great person overall.

Omg this was my first class and the best class so far. I had her in the mornings for ENC1101 and it was the best, shes an amazing English teacher so caring. Also we did a lot of essays and due by the end of class but it was easy. We also did group assignments and the quizzes she gives we did them with her. Her finals was Easy just an essay.

This was an okay class I took for ENC 1102. Its kind of difficult especially with the last paper but she breaks the last paper into steps. Theres group work so find a group reliable. Some of the work can be challenging and a bit much. But shes funny and understanding. Mostly everything is online and she goes over pretty much everything.

Professor Tarver is a good professor. She's organized, valuess her time and yours. You must be in class for class partipation grade. Must understand assignments and meet all deadlines. She is respectfull and understanding. Must let her know if you will not be able to make it class.

Professor Tarver is so sweet and a great professor. Her instructions can sometimes be a bit vague so make sure to ask her to clarify so you arent confused. She also goes at a pretty fast pace so make sure to be paying attention. DO all your work and you should be fine. Sometimes the workload is stressful but you'll get it done.

She's really nice and understandable, the only problem is the instructions since it can be pretty confusing sometimes but she helps you out if you ask. As long as you pay attention to class and do all of her work, You should be fine.

Tarver's class is relatively easy until you get to the essays. There are about 4 of them based on short stories that you read for homework. Every class there is a quiz on proper essay writing, which she gives you the answers for. There is an essay which is your final, and that will be the bulk of your grade. if you can write well, you'll be fine.

The professor provides good feedback on most of your papers. Be prepared to write a lot as she gives writing assignments at least once or twice a week. She is always available for help. She offers extra credit a couple of times throughout the semester. There is also going to be a lot of group work which is done with the entire class.
