THIS TEACHER IS NOT CLEAR AT ALL. ANY TIME I ASK FOR HELP SHE GETS IRRITATED. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE CONFUSED.MOST OF MY CLASSMATES ARE AS CONFUSED AS I AM.I DON'T RECOMMENED HER AT ALL.

Maybe it was the fact that she took over our class halfway through the semester, but this professor was HORRIBLE. Got completely irritated if ANYONE in the classroom asked questions. NOT recommended.

WTF, I can't believe people actually like her. She's a horrile teacher! Hello, what kind of professor gets test questions from a test bank?! She expects a graduate student knowledge on an undergraduate research course! Very unhelpful, very unclear, and very cruel!

Such a disappointment. She seems like a nice woman outside of class, but she doesn't teach well. Don't take this unless you want to be totally lost the whole semester. She acts like explaining things is giving away the answer.

For heaven's sake, do not take this class with this instructor. She is lazy, unclear, unfeeling, and a class A ****.

Wow! Looks like i'm not the only one. Ok, seriously, i'm not going to even comment because my complaints are consistent with everyone else's. What I will say is HOW can this teacher be representing CSUN faculty?! She should NOT be teaching! Simple! This is so obvious it is disgusting. Really, its starting to make the PSY depart. look bad. I got an A- in her class. Just b/c of her make up exams. So, if you want to take a risk, take her, you never know she could change.

She wasn't a mean Prof. But when you tried to ask for help she makes you feel like " yeah I'll help you for about a second." oh, but she loves her PETS in class. If they don't have any questions then the class must go on. Her T.A adam sucks too!

Zatkin sucks, sucks, sucks. It's wonder how she still teaches at CSUN. She SEEMS nice but really she is just a lazy lump of human who is getting paid for doing nothing in class or lab. Tells you she wants u to UNDERSTAND the concepts then doesn't bother to TEACH it!!!

Worst teacher ever. Don't take her or else you'll hate yourself for not taking this warning seriously!

She was not very good at explaining the material, especially if you are not very good at statistics. I got a "B", but it was not because I understood the concepts. It was because she kept having to give make-up exams since hardly anyone was passing them.

Her tests r unclear and have nothing to do with the book or lectures. I don't think she really knows the material. Social Science dept should intervene.

Awful Professor. Unfair tests, and extremelly unhelpful. Grades unfairly. The tests have nothing to do with Stats. Stay Away. Take Professor Katz. You will love him.

She assumes you know what she's thinking before she even says anything. She would try to do a problem on the board, then change her mind about the answer, then just go to another problem because she could not solve it. She left us confused and got aggitated if we asked her to explain what she just did. Take Dr. Kats or Dr. Lee!!!

She as been the worst teacher I ever had, so far. She doesn’t lecture much; she expects to know everything from the book. If you’re a visual person like me this is not a class for you. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS. I got an A in intro stats with a difficult teacher yet could not for the life of me understand this womans teaching style or tests. Memorizing a 150 question test book does not equal LEARNING. If you want to actually understand stats, take someone else.

Easy A. However, when you go to take 321 and you realize you did not learn 320 because you took Zatkin, you are skrewed. You need to learn this stuff and Zatkin posts the tests banks, so you can get an easy A by memorizing them: Pay now-pay later?

she is useless. if you are going on to grad school you WILL need these skills and taking this class will not give them to you. She doesn't help you at all because she's lazy as hell, and when she grades your projects she acts like they're great and then tears them apart for your final grade. STAY AWAY.

If you like a class where everything is self taught, then go a head and take her. She wont help you and if you do ask for help she belittles you and is sooo rude. Worst class I have ever taken. I wish that I looked her up here before I signed up for this class, these comments are not far fetched. Mrs. Zatkin is a sweet lady, but i feel cheated after taking her class. The reason I got a D+ was because I was trying to actually learn the material; not just memorize crucial information. She doesnt teach with attentive accuracy nor detail:(

Please do not take her. She is RUDE!! If you ever do something wrong she will belittle you infront of the class. She does not teach, she talks about baking. I learned nothing besides what I taught myself. Her grading system is weird, so you have no idea what your going to get till she posts the final grade. And her tests are not easy at all.

by far, the WORST prof i've had. doesn't know the material. gets all lecture notes, test & quiz q's straight from book bank (sometimes reads straight from the book) & the book is poor quality. extremely stubborn & self-righteous. doesn't care if students do well. overall, awful teacher. embarassment to CSUN. shouldn't be allowed to teach.

This lady is a disaster. I left each class session feeling more stupid than the last. I'm paying money to actually learn and have everything applicable to different facets of life, not just to memorize a bunch of terms that is completely forgettable. If I had to learn everything by myself, what's the point of having the professor?

OMG! i dont know how she is still teaching. she should work at a bakery not at a university.She is the worst teacher i ever had. she kick people out of the lab 5 minutes before. her textbook sucks. Worst teacher. She tells you off the bat tests are not based on lectures or hwk..so wtf is!! THEORY! exams are ridiculous. She is ignorant. Never knows how to explain herself. Lashes out at students. AVOID. By far, one of the worst prof I have ever had. The tests are hard and I failed all but one. The labs however are the ones that saved me from failing the class.

She doesnt care if you have a question during class. She'll say : "I'll help u in lab" & when you ask her she ignores you & has a TA help. Rude. The topic is hard to understand & she does not cover in detail. Pure surface. If you dont get it, she says get tutored. AVOID! Got a B, but was TOUGH!!

This class was awful. She doesn't explain things well. She's a nitpicky grader. I didn't listen to everyone else on here, I took her class because it was the only one available. I should've waited until next semester with a different teacher.

She doesnt know how to make students feel comfortable coming to class and she tests on material thats in a different version book from online database. so material in class is not on the test. its all conceptual and had to literally pay tutors to help

My father has been an educator for 20 years and I rarely criticize teachers! Please do NOT enroll in the instructor's courses - I understand they may be "open". I, too, made this mistake! I scored an 89% in my lower division stats so I expected better. She doesn't know how to teach, goes way too fast, and tries to giggle her way out of everything.

Horrible. DO NOT TAKE HER. Doesn't know how to teach, and she is always going off track. It was very difficult to understand and learn what she was teaching. Take anyone else but her! She's nice, but horrible at instructing.

By far the worst professor I've ever had. She's so rude and couldn't care less if you pass or fail her course. You literally have to teach yourself all of the material because she only uses the slides from the book website and reads them off of the screen in class. Shes also super condescending and will turn you away if you ask for help. AVOID!!!

Do yourself a favor and pass on this class. She is the worst teacher I've ever had and doesn't care at all about her students. Save yourself a semester of hell and literally take any other teacher for 320 or 321.

WORS PROFESSOR EVER

She's a nice person, but not a nice professor. She goes over the lecture way too quickly and never really gives a clear answer to students' questions. The class I took with her was basically a stats class, and having previous knowledge is important if you want to pass, or at least get the lesson. Her labs are fairly easy, but again, she is unclear.
