I absolutely loved Benny!! She makes time to help everyone out even if it enterferes with her personal life. The class was a blast!!

Ms. Benny opened my eyes to the politics in America and media bias. She's self-sacrificing.

She's very hard, but it's to make you do better. She wants everyone to reach their best. She says, "no one who tries fails" and she keeps her word. She acknowledges she's a liberal but she teachs the Iraq War, and she is good at teaching people like me argue pro-war as she is at teaching the anti-war people. She's always available to help.

Ms. Benny expects you to put forth an effort but she is willing to help you and will spend a great deal of time helping you. While she has her own opinions, she is very tolerant of other opinions, even if she doesn't agree. Overall, she is an excellent teacher.

I enjoyed taking her class b/c she got me interested in the war. She's quite humorous. I must say though, her assignments almost killed me. She's willing to listen to reason which is admirable. However,whenever she gets emotional, she does not reason so you have to be careful. Overall,I think she genuinely cares a/b making a difference in the world

Ms. Benny is pretty much my favorite professor ive ever had. She is great at teaching how to argue. If you dont put forth some interest and effort, she wont put forth a good grade. its that simple. Shes funny, the class is interesting, and everyone's always able to speak their mind so long as they dont make an ass out of themselves. take her class

Ms. Benny is a sweet and kind-hearted teacher. Her class is interesting and challenging. If you're ever confused about an assignment or her grading, she is always there to help. Ms. Benny notices and appreciates her hard-working students, but watch out if you think you're going to get away with doing nothing in her class, because you won't!

Ms.Benny was a great teacher. She is very helpful and understanding!! At first I was a little unsure about her class but I went and talked to her and she made me feel better about it. She wants everyone to do good and is available quite often for help. Her class was great!

At first i was unsure of the class. I thought I would hate it, but the more i got into it the more i enjoyed it. The class chalenged me and forced me to become more informed.

Nice teacher. Made the class out to be harder than it really was. The material was somewhat useful. Using Toulmin for an entire semester on the same subject was rather monotonous though.

Best English class I have had. I learned a ton about the topic we were disscussing, actually enjoyed rewriting my papers three times, and Ms. Benny has an attitude that you will find no where else. Even if you don't enjoy her material, which i believe you will, you will have a blast during class debates and group disscussions.

Mrs. Benny rocks. She is one of the few teachers that really cares about the students. she will help you with all your assignments...all you have to do is ask. and the stuff you learn in there is things that will stay with you. take this class!!!!

If you have to take english, Ms. Benny is the #1 teacher to take it with. I never had a teacher who actually cared about me as an individual and wanted to help me learn the material as much as she could. She will help you with anything until you know it so well you could teach it to someone else. You do have to try though to get a good grade.

You debate your position on the Iraq war. The class is very good, and she helps you with your papers before you actually turn them in. She is very helpful because you actually can find a fun way to argue in a paper. I got an A in that class because she is very sincere in her teaching.

A-mazing teacher! She knows how to treat students with respect and can argue with anyone. I would love to have her again.

In this class I wanted to work. She taught me to see the other side in arguments and also to show people up who talk but have nothing really to say. This class not only helps in a pulic sphere, but when you are with your friends or work or any area.

Great class! Ms. Benny was the best! A lot of work, but she helps you every step of the way, and a majority are very easy! 15 min. max...at least for me! To pass her class, all you have to do is try, LITERALLY! Our class was all about the Iraq War, and I LOVED it! Ms. Benny's the BEST! :-)

Mrs. Benny is a great instructor. I had a hard time believing that political rhetoric would prove to be any fun, but I am surprised. It was a fun class all around.

Mrs. Benny was a great teacher. The first week is a little rough; she is a little hardcore about things. After that, it gets better. She is ALWAYS available to help you out on your assignments (and if you email them to her for help, you WILL get an A if you listen to what she says about your work) If it werent for her help, I couldn't have done it.

Ms. Benny was always available and willing to help. She really cares about how her students do and will take as much time as is needed to make sure that her students understand the assignments. She is very opinionated and some students may not like that but I, personally, found it to be very refreshing.

Mrs. Benny is an awsome teacher with an open mind and a wonderful personality to go with it, she is most definately the best english teacher I have ever had throughout my school terms!

Don't take this class if you are a strong supporter of facts and truth. This teacher is determined to prove that the U.S. Government was behind 9/11. I had to drop this class because the final assignment required me to write a paper arguing against my personal views. She did not offer the option of choosing which side to argue.

Very, very opinionated class. Some say you have to agree with Ms. Benny's liberal outlook to get an A. Well that is wrong. It does make it easier to argue her side because she basically tells you exactly what to write. Overall I dont agree with her views, but the class is extremely easy. A with little to no effort.

Ms. Benny is one of the bestinstructors I have ever had at UWF. She is willing to work with every student and it is not impossible to make an "A." Her lectures are very interesting and you learn a lot in her class. I highly recomend Ms. Benny.

Mrs. Benny is one of the best and most fair instructors at UWF. She gives so much grace that is almost nearly unbelievable; however, if you are faint of heart like the one posting about Michael Moore then don't take her class. If you can't handle the heat get out of kitchen I guess?

Best teacher I've ever had. She was able to teach me more in the spring semester I had with her than any other teacher in a year! Fair to all students. Looked for quality of argument in rhetoric, not how well you could punctuate. If you did poorly in her class go back to 10th grade and try again. And last but not least, FANTASTIC shoes.

Mrs. Benny was so surprising to me. I never thot my english class was going to be so enjoyable. I expected a lot of boring writing and instead I had a great time. Especially the final project. She's sweet, helpful, and has great shoes. Just be prepared to do your work.

Benny is so crazy. She cracks me up with her opinions and word choices. There is a lot of work, but tons of extra credit. Easy extra credit as high as 25 pts. She is not afraid to say anything. She wants you to pass. She constantly makes herself available. If you like politics or the economy take her! You will pass with an A.

Ms. Benny gives her students every opportunity to succeed. She can be slightly bipolar, but she truly cares about her students.

I personally loved her class. She is a bit strange, but she is very helpful. She knows what's she's talking about believe it or not, and if you pay attention to what she has to say and go talk to her when you have a problem you will not get a bad grade in her class.

Mrs.Benny is a bit different. She shows lots of videos and takes frequent smoke breaks, but all you have to do is ask and she will help. She doesn't like testing so nearly every assignment is done at home and submitted online. Her only big fault is her slow grading. Overall, she is a good person with very strong political opinions.

I loved this class. I am an underachiever and I still got an A on every paper. YOU NEVER USE THE TEXTBOOK!! No matter what anyone says, she is really nice and very helpful. Because of her, I got an A on every paper from all of my classes this semester. I highly suggest you take her class. Yes, she takes forever to grade, but that's the only con.

Does cancel class a lot BUT has had family problems this semester. She is Liberal but is open to discussion and wil listen to more than just Liberal views. I am very conservative and make that apparent in my papers AND I got a 100% on a graded one and she now wants to use that as an example of a perfect paper. She is really sweet if you try at all!

Benny is a good professor, but she gets a little behind with the grading. You won't get the papers back until the end, making it hard to improve. She does have an attendance policy and will drop your grade if you don't attend. Read the assignments. If you come to class unprepared, you'll feel the wrath. I enjoyed her class.

Seriously one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. She may assign a lot of papers, but if you understand the content of the readings you should get an easy A on every paper. Also, she's very helpful if you reach out to her.

She is so sweet. Definitely one of my favorite professors I've had so far. Will do ENC 1102 with her. There's an assignment due every week, but if you follow everything she wants, it's an easy A. She's also pretty funny.

She's an amazing teacher and seriously my favorite professor by far. She gives a lot of extra credit and is super nice and understanding. If you do your papers well, you will definitely get over a 100. I have a 115 in the class right now and I'm definitely taking her for comp 2.

Assignments each week, but many are only two or three paragraphs with specific instruction on what goes in each paragraph, typically takes one or two hours per assignment, final is a five page research paper but specific instructions on how to write it make it go by quickly, LOTS of extra credit, attendance is worth an entire letter grade.

Ms. Benny is amazing! She will help you succeed in her class. She gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities. I had her for into to literature. you have to write a paper a week and a big final paper. There is a lot of reading and writing in this class, but it's college and you'll be doing that in most classes. you won't regret taking her class

She's super easy, she always picks a fun themed, ours was ghost hunting and our whole class was based around it. It was a lot of fun, and she even if we didn't want to be there she'd always make us laugh.

SHOW UP TO THE LAST DAY! She gives extra credit! Attendance is credited, it is such a easy class, all she cares about is cigarettes, potato chips and red bull. She is helpful and understanding, one of the best teachers I will ever have. LOVE HER.

Ms. Benny bends over backwards to make sure her students pass. There is a 2 page paper each week and a 4 page final paper so if you don't like writing this isn't the class for you. She has 3 built in paper extensions for the semester and as long as your paper fits MLA, you'll get a 100. There's so much extra credit to get, too.

Lots of extra credit. I passed well above an "A." Some students might say she can be harsh, but i only saw her act like that with students who were rude or disrespectful. As long as you are respectful she will go above and beyond for you as a professor.

Not my favorite professor, but definitely not my least favorite either. Very paper heavy and reading heavy. I mean duh look at the title. She does give lots of extra credit opportunities, but it's not something ridiculously easy to just get. Patience is needed for the class. It may have just been because I took it online.

Professor Benny was a great teacher. As a student with Dyslexia I was concerned about taking this class. In her online class she read all the stories and then further discussed what was read. This was very helpful for those that hate to read. She gives tons of opportunities for extra credit and I received an A with above the 1000 points.

Benny is a pretty chill person. Just follow her directions and you'll pass. She offers metric ton of extra credit, so you can actually pass the class early. You'll watch a lot of documentaries and write a lot. Sometimes, there will be a class discussion. Overall, the class was fun and easy. Benny is a good person and really cares about her students

Very work heavy, she makes you write a paper once a week. . But she gives you so many opportunities for extra credit and these paper extensions that will release your stress from the class. Absolutely adore her, her class was very easy. Made 200 extra credit points overall.

Towards the end of the semester (taken over a summer session) she sat all of us down and talked about our grades and I told her one sentence pretty much and she was able to see that as I connect myself to the rhetoric of grades too much and literally helped me get out of that mindset, shes a very caring professor

Best professor I have had by far. She is amazing and really seems to care about her students. She has a lot of students from more than one school and still somehow finds a way to respond when emailing or texting her. She makes writing essays very fun. The topics she picks are very interesting and hard not to like. Our topic was paranormal this year

Our class was based on ghost hunting and it wasn't that bad, just make sure you do your part of the final project, and don't slack. She's an easy grader and homework is simple. Only need online textbook for homework. Benny is a very interesting prof if you're not sensitive.

She is very easy-going and understanding. She will extend deadlines as long as you send her a message about it. Tons of extra credit opportunities. She is always willing to help you. A paper is due every other week but they are not always complete papers. Textbook activities are online.

Made a documentary the whole semester with some little assignments. A lot of extra credit. She is very caring and understanding about everything. We only had class every other or every two weeks to work on our films. A very easy class just do your part in the group or you will be kicked out of the group and have to write a paper instead.

Teaches you how to write the perfect MLA essay. A people person who knows how to talk to students. Very understanding about attendance.

There are 5 writing assignments, the first 2 are very easy short paragraphs. There is no final; it is a writing assignment. Gives plenty of time for each assignment and lots of extra credit. Great writing subjects, the prompts are not boring. Attendance was taken at every class.

Her class is very easy to pass as long as you turn things in on time, she offers many opportunities for extra credit which I would recommend completing

This semester, she canceled class 5+ times for a multitude of reasons. Her topics are typically very political and her own opinion gets winded up in it. Her class consists of documentaries and essays. Overall, she is a great professor and very lenient.

The whole semester was just a group project making a documentary on a conspiracy theory. Super fun and creative as long as your group doesn't suck lol. its due in 5 sections and each one is peer graded so as long as you follow the rubric you get a 100. If someone isn't doing their work then she will fix it without causing issues.

100% would take again. She is very thorough in her instruction and as long as you pay attention your golden. If you don't understand something she is always there to help. Amazing teacher.

She is a very understanding person and funny at times. And an easy grader. She may have had a bad semester, but she canceled a few classes and was sick too. We mostly watched documentaries at first. And had 4 library classes( 2 weeks). It was not useful at all. But what she taught us to write an academic paper was a very useful skill.

Ms. Benny is the best Lit professor I have ever taken. We read each story together in class and do an in class analysis. Just come to class. On our paper workshop days, she writes a paper as we write ours so just follow her format. Only 3 essays and the final was a revision of one of the three. Loved her! Take her and you will not regret it.

Benny was amazing. The papers weren't that hard. Hardly had any other assignments to do. She's funny too. She teaches well, and gives good feedback on papers. She also offers a lot of extra credit.

This is the type of professor you need if you have a lot of heavy loaded classes. I actually missed a couple of assignments but she grades in favor of your Essays mainly. she is also able to help you improve your critical thinking skills in these essays as well as new writing skills without overloading you with information or unnecessary work.

Professor Benny is a chill, funny teacher who really cares about her students. Her class is straightforward, with detailed rubrics and great feedback. I found unstuckstudy super helpful for essay prep alongside the free textbook.

Do not take this class if you hate group projects. It was a massive documentary project? Very weird for an English Comp 2 class. Ignoring any potential issues with group-related stuff, this class was very easy. There was literally only 1 "essay", so great if you hate writing

I took ENC 1102 online, and it was a really easy class! We wrote about 5 essays, and her grading criteria were not harsh. I'm not the best writer, but I got A's on all my essays. If you write a really good essay, she will give you the opportunity to earn 25 extra credit points and will ask for permission to publish it in the Gallery of Excellence!

I had her for both comp 1 & 2. The class was spilt into 5 groups of 5, and we had to make an original documentary. Spring 2025 had to do cryptids, and past classes did ghost hunting and conspiracy theories. It was super fun, most of it is peer graded expect at the end. If someone in your group doesn't help, they have to write a super long essay.

I absolutely adore her. Tbh I don't even know if there's a textbook for this course. She's funny, and very smart. However she is a bit aloof. I would 100% take this course again. She's one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. She's so understanding. One time she brought my class Krispy Kreme. Definitely taker her class if you can!

One of my favorite teachers! We only had 5 papers for a grade, and textbook actives. She gives extra credit if she cancels class, will give extra credit if she really likes your essay enough to use as an example for her future classes, and she lets the whole class go to the library to work on the essays together.
