Mrs. Bodenweiser is the best teacher ever! She is very helpful and will take her time to make sure everyone understands the material and also has some quite interesting lectures! I suck at science and I got an A in her class!

Yeah...so she's a little weird. Good class, but she really tells some graphic stories...kind of low brow humor.

She is awsome. Although is is a little loopy she makes class intreasting. Great professor everyone should take her class.

I took microbiology fall 2003. While yes, she is different and a character, she was one of my favorite instructors. When I was really down, and considering withdrawing, she worked with me and I did great. If you need to take MCB, take it with Judy!

Easygoing,exited about teaching and very helpful prof.HOWEVER,her lectures are somewhat unorganized and confusing.She skipped all over the book which made studying difficult.I got an A,so I figured it out.She just needs to be more clear.The constant"sucking"from her water bottle is ANNOYING!!

She is the best!! Don't listen to the negative comments take her and you will not be sorry! She makes microbiology fun and her funny stories make you remember everything with ease. She gives extra credit with her lists but they do take time and effort. In the end it should be easy to get an A.

She is a good teacher but she is really disorganized. She is not always clear on how she wants things done and how to do them. But she is funny and she makes the class interesting. She also seems to be a little weird but that makes the class even more interesting.

Fabulous teacher. Enthusiastic, fun, energetic. Loves her subject and wants the students to feel the same way. Take her for a class you will never forget.

I wish more MCC teachers were like her. She is earning her paycheck, not like the rest of them who do not care about the subjects they teach and are waisting my money and taxpayers money. You are doing a GREAT JOB!

This class was great and so was the professor! I found the class very interesting and actually learned quite a bit. The instructor is one of the best at MCC in my opinion.

Professor Bodenweiser is so nice, and very helpful. When you first get in her class chose your table wisely. I was in her class and two out of four of her test was group test.Thank god my group was smart.Dont sit by friends or people who dont know whatthey are doing. About 80% of your grade comes from your group(test &labs)

Very wonderful professor at MCC. She know what's she talking about and tell story so you can relate it to reality. I love her class. I thought microbiology was hard but she make it so easy. She said 4 test but you may end up just take 3. There's NO test/quiz in her Lab. Just be organize with the lab folder and show up in class and you'll get an A.

Fuuny lady! She is a fantastic professor. Just don't wear flip flops to lab- she may not act like she cares but she'll deduct your final grade for it!

As far as the class all notes are hand written!! She jumps from topic 2 topic without finishing the 1st topic!!! Test are okay if u read the chapters. U also have to write 3pg papers for 25pts of your test grade for all 3 test! Lab is okay yet she is strick on attendence and staying the whole time!! the best time to take her class is in the summer!

she is the best, one of the few instructors that enjoys her job, makes class interesting. labs have great cd music.will help u one on one if needed

She is a great, fun teacher. Class was hard and the labs were fun because she lets you listen to music. Tests were very hard. Final was easy though. Highly recommend.

By far one of the best professors I have had at MCC. Very friendly and helpful. The class is a lot of work but fun at times. She makes the subject VERY interesting!!

Hilarious!! I dreaded all my other classes, but she is so funny that the hour and twenty minutes were much more bearable. You'll feel overwhelmed at first, everyone does, so just grin and bear it, and everything comes together.

I was not looking forward to another 4 credit class in a science..however...I dont know how she did it but I really ended up Enjoying micro and this class!. She made a difficult class a pleasant class to be in. I liked it alot

one of the best professors i've had. know what she is talking about and is FUNNY. i am not sure how anyone could make micro exciting but she does it. it is not hard to get an A if you study.

Highly reccommended, and very nice teacher with a sense of humor, bon't expect to get by without doing some work. Lab component is part of the grade and attendance counts in lab. Tests are challenging, and sudy guides for the tests are a big part of the test grade (25%). There are some essays to write as well. Nevertheless, highly reccommended.

She is the most memorable teacher I have ever had. The workload is tough, but it helps for you to learn and to prepare you for University level Micro courses. Take her! You will not regret it!

This prof is crazy but so much fun! The class is a lot of work but honestly, it's easy if you like science classes. No practicals, just a notebook; 3 tests and a final in lecture. Her lectures are a little off topic sometimes but you will always know what to study review day. If you are going to take Micro, take her! She is the best.

Extremely knowledgeable on the subject, helpful, funny, easy going and very fair. The material is hard, but she presents it in a way you can relate to. Workload is tremendous. Plan on living and breathing microbio for the semester. Regardless, I would definitely recommend her over anyone else. She's a really cool professor.

I have never had so much fun in the class! This class is the most memorable one. A LOT of work, but she makes it EASY! Do your job and your A is guaranteed.

I took this class during the summer session. The teacher kept this class interesting and fun. I really learned alot and enjoyed the class. The reviews for the exams helps a bunch. A hint: just make sure to finish assignments on a timely manner.

Your best bet is to take this teacher.. I goofed up on my first exam and still pulled an A in this class. Like everyone said, it is a lot of work, and I would not take a huge load with this class, but if you pay attention (record the test review lectures, and do the work) then this is an easy A. She isn't afraid to criticize, but it's just to help

She was informative helpfull interesting and fun. She made us do a lot of otside researcdh but although it was time consuming I found it helpful

She is a very good teacher who knows what she is teaching. As long as you do your work and show up for class you will pass.

Everyone recommended J. Bodenweiser for Microbiology, I wasnt sure I had the time to do it over the Summer and she made the material completely possible. She jokes around and has fun in her classes, but captures your attention. The recipe is easy: Show up to class, listen, take notes, do your work get the grade you deserve. Great Teacher.

Amazing class! There's a lot of work involved with this class, but it doesn't feel like work because you get very into it. She was an amazing teacher... makes the class very interesting and fun! I would HIGHLY recommend taking this class with her!!

Judy Bodenweiser was the best teacher I have ever had!!!! All the notes you do in lecture is from what she writes on the whiteboard and she gives plenty of background information on each of the subjects she talks about and explains the meaning of words in relation to their roots in latin which is very helpful. Best class I have ever had.

BEST TEACHER EVER! She is so funny! She knows what she is talking about, and she loves it! Subject is difficult, but she works with you to try to get you to understand and do well. Some take home tests. Lot of work, study or you will fail! Take her she will make it micro seem fun and enjoyable! :)

This class is really demanding but this teacher makes it a ton of fun. Study your butt off or else you will not get a good grade. TON of homework, do not procrastinate. She does let you re-submit assignments if you didn't do it right but it's still a ton of work. Love this teacher though!

She is really nice and really funny. The lab is A LOT of work. Her notes are all over the place and when it comes to the test nothing will come word for word from your notes. Most questions are critical thinking. She is very generous on the grading though. Put in effort, show up for class and be on time and you'll be ok.

The class is never boring. She's really funny, if you like her type of sense of humor. She may offend you if you ask a question. The class is a lot of work but very easy to get an A if you record her test reviews and do all the lab work. She's not very organized but she knows her material.

Take her class with the expectation that a lot is required. Take lecture notes on 11 x 14 blank paper (laterally) because she jumps back and forth but her passion is incredible. She is a very down to earth person who really cares for her students.Enjoy because you are in for the ride of your semester!!

I would definitely recommend taking her class. Never a dull moment. She is very passionate about this course. Just don't be late for class and do your lab reports the way she wants you to. Follow her instruction and guarantee you'll get an A. Love her!

AMAZING TEACHER!!! She makes class so interesting and you will never have a dull moment. She is beyond passionate about teaching Microbiology and she makes you want to learn about it. She is clear cut on what she expects from you and understands that everyone has other things going on in there life other then school. I would highly recommend her.

this class is not an easy a, but is extremely enjoyable ! she is a great professor, however, do not ask stupid questions and do not make her repeat herself, as someone else before you have to ask her. loved this class

I took this class in 6 weeks and it was not easy, but it is doable. You will be confused most of the time but if you follow along you'll eventually be ok. The material is tough, and she tries to make it doable. She gets off track a lot and will make you feel like you know nothing. I wound up getting a 102 on the final though. She is also hilarious!

If you can handle zero organization and a professor that severely gets off track with no schedule whatsoever, this is your teacher. She was not for me. She is an awesome woman with an impeccable grasp on microbiology and is interesting to listen to. However, I have gone through the semester feeling like I learned nothing and got little out of it.

You will feel like you have entered a tornado the first few weeks, but relax, it will work out as long as you work hard and study!!! Good lectures, she does get off topic a lot. Her tests are difficult if you don't study and/or attend class. No leaving early from lab! She works with you as far as extending due dates. She does have her favorites.

The best teacher. She helps students out as long as you try. Reviews are helpful. You don't have to study hard. Show up for lab, it's mandatory!

She is a fun professor, cares about her students, and most of all making tough learnings FUN!!

She's a very unique and funny character, which helps make Microbiology more interesting. All of the tests and quizzes except the lab and lecture final were online, so it was almost like taking a blended class. If we donated pet food to the pet food drive the campus was having, she gave us 5 points extra credit. Lectures and labs can be long though.

If you feel lost and confused - its ok! It will all come together in the end. She is flexible with due dates but she also takes mental note of who is actually trying, so just do your lists on time or early (they are time consuming). Reviews are on point- pay attention and take notes. You can tell she loves her job- it makes learning more enjoyable!

Professor Bodenweiser is the sweetest. At first it can be confusing buts she's easy going. All exams are online, besides the lecture/lab finals. Try & attend MOST labs, she takes that into account at the end when giving you your overall grade. You can pass & earn a fair grade with very minimal effort. She's understanding & wants you to pass.

By far, the best Professor @ SCF. Micro is a tough subject in general, however, professor Bodenweiser teaches in a way that its easy to understand. She's very clear on what's expected. Shes extremely knowledgeable & gives great feedback. She is also hilarious; never a dull moment. If you apply yourself, you WILL succeed in her class.

HILARIOUS! Has 3 cats. She's a hot crazy cat lady. All exams online, besides lecture/lab finals but she reviews before each one. Save $ and rent the text book. I hardly used it. She's blunt and makes funny relatable real life jokes about bacteria/parasites that help you remember the differences. Labs are fun. You watch a lot of videos in lecture.

Judy is amazing, she will bend over backwards to make sure that this class is memorable. No matter what she will make you laugh even if you think she is crazy. She talks a lot but her lectures are just like her tests. All tests and quizzes are online except the finals but don't worry youll do great if you study. Best prof by far.

There is a method to her madness. You may be like wtf?! in the beginning, but she will review with you before each and every exam. There are a few lab quizzes, a lab practical as a lab final, 3 lecture exams and a final - plus a group project. She is funny and nice - and yes, all over the place. But she will prep you for your exam. Take notes!

This lady is amazing! if you're going to be in her class go in with an open mind and just go with the flow; she will make sure that you are prepared for exams and wants you to do good above all! Doesn't make the class harder than it has to be and is so attentive and sweet!

I loved Judy, she is probably one of my favorite professors so far. You will either laugh or be awkward because she's kind of eccentric. She made class interesting and wants you to pass! Make sure you put forth an effort in lab and she'll love you. There's a group project in lab, but it's really simple and fun. go to reviews and you will be fine!

Everyone has it down! She doesnt make it harder than it needs to be, dont panic if you feel like she isnt teaching (review days are the only important days for notes) and show up because she takes that into account in both lab and class. Oh, and RECORD for her final review! It helped me pass wih flying colors. Youll do great dont panic either!

Miss Bodenweiser gave some of the best lectures that I have ever attended. She kept me interested and yearning for more. She has good insight into the history of microbiology. During labs it is best to show up early to review. The steps are well written out, just listen carefully to them. I recommend making your own quizlets for studying.

Ms. Bodenweiser is an amazing teacher. She makes sure her students understand the material and goes beyond to help them understand on their level. She encourages her students to do their best. She is by far the best teacher I have ever had. She genuinely cares about all her students and the knowledge she teaches them. Thank you for a great semester

She cares more about you learning and retaining the information than your actual grade. She always does quiz and exam reviews. She is empathetic and understanding. Her lectures are a whirlwind and slightly disorganized but the time passes quickly and you'll definitely laugh. Her labs are fun and instructional.

She is hilarious, kind, and caring. She is also a bit disorganized and scatterbrained. You will feel lost in the beginning, but she doesn't make it harder than it has to be. Everything you need for this course is on canvas modules. Don't bother taking notes (kind of impossible - squirrel!) or buying the book. Pay attention to exam reviews!

Shes funny, caring and an easy grader. She doesn't complicate things and goes with the flow. The book was not needed as everything is on canvas, what is needed is a lab-coat. There is only about 1 project and a standard amount of tests and quizzes. I would take her again 100x over

This woman is THEATRICAL. If occasional crude/bluntness makes you uncomfortable then take another Professor. Shes extremely scatterbrained like you have no idea whats going on for 4 months but just follow along and youll be fine. She does give you the information you need... eventually. I would take her again because she makes it fun.

I took Microbiology with her online due to COVID. I can't begin to describe just how accommodating she was with everything going on. Very understanding and quick to answer emails & very willing to help. The lectures were long but she's very funny so it wasn't too boring. As long as you do your work she won't bother you about online attendance.

Judy is a great professor. She is caring and understanding professor who's always there for her students . She is always try her best to help her students succeed. I was struggle to understand the course, and she went extra miles to make sure I understood the course. I was very glad that I had her as my professor this semester.

She is so sweet and truly cares for her students. The assignments are what is expected from a microbiology class. She is probably one of the only preofessors that gives exam reviews even though most of the time it wasnt as usefull. If you pay attention in lecture and put in work you are sure to pass. Highly reccomdend.

She is the most understanding and accomodating teacher I've ever had. The class & lab were online. Everything needed for success was provided. She has a passion for MCB and it shows through her teaching. She wants her students to learn AND succeed. Put in the work and you will receive an A. I was on the fence about taking her and I'm so glad I did!

She is the perfect prof to teach Micro. She is interesting. I took this course for the second time accelerated live online over summer while entertaining my 3 crazy boys! . I was nervous at first but she is so chill. She def wants her students to succeed and understands we all have busy lives. PLEASE TAKE HER, ESPECIALLY IF MICRO SCARES YOU!!

She is not really straight forward but other than that she is a good professor, really understanding and allows for several attempts in most of her assignments. As long as you watch the video reviews before exams and study the highlighted material you should pass the class.

Great teacher. Definitely recommend and would take again!!
