Judy has alot of energy! I wonder sometimes if she thinks her students are following her more than they actually are. Her personality made a dry topic more interesting, but I would have liked to have more applicability integrated in the teaching.

Judy is a really good professor because she loves what she does and is always really positive and cheerful. What sets her apart from the majority of teachers is that she is equally nice to every student, and in lab she always gives you help if you need it.

I am in my second year at Camosun and Judy is still the best teacher I have had...she is a fair marker, not easy and not hard, she is adorable, and always there to help when you need it. I recommend taking any of Judy's psych classes!

jusy is a great prof and very enthusiastic. the course is fairly interesting and her abs are reasonable... though sometimes too much to do in too littel time. she is very open to helping students and she strie hard to make lecture fun. notes are very clear tooo.. go for it! take her class

very boring class. Judy is not very approachable outside of class, so be careful about catching her when she's "not in the right frame of mind". Dry lectures, useful notes, boring labs.

I might be the only one, but I thought the lectures were fun? I liked how she presented it. And I found her workbooks helpful in learning the material. But.. tests are hard. I don't even know why? Look at the study guides and know them!! Cue card type info. Labs I found kinda boring, sorry Judy :)

GET INTO JUDY'S CLASS. She makes everything make sense, tests are easy, (if you know the study guide) she is a very positive, happy person. Keeps it interesting, makes it fun. Made me want to major in Psych.

she is amazing! very oraginize. The lectures were fun and kept me interest. The tests weren't too bad if you study very carefully on the review questions. She was very helpful in/out the classroom. Labs were fun and Grace was also very nice!

Judy is a very fair teacher and she seems to love what she does. Her tests are very straightfoward as long as you study for them adequately.

Judy was great! I found her lectures very interesting. I highly recommend this class. But be careful with the tests they are not so easy. Study hard!

She knows that 201 is manditory and not a personal interest class so she tries her best to make it fun. I've never seen such a tiny woman with so much energy. I love her. Her tests are deceiving. Read the outlines at the back of the lecture workbook before your test. They really clear things up. She's awesome!

Judy is fun and energetic as a teacher. She creates useful workbooks to take notes in during lecture, so you don't have to write down every thing. She is cute and stylish, and I'm a girl, but I'd still tap that.

Lecture workbooks are nice so you don't have to write every single thing down and saves on note paper. She is very helpful and won't stop trying to explain something to you until you understand it. Tests are not as easy as you would expect from her lectures, so STUDY.Also the textbook isn't used in class; just for studying. She's really cute too.

Judy is the hottest teacher ever. She's really friendly, loves her job, and somehow manages to learn every student's name within the first two weeks.

Judy is by far the best teacher I have ever had in three years of post secondary. She KNOWS what it takes for students to learn and understand rather than just memorize, and she will help you WHENEVER YOU NEED IT, hence why she is the chair of psych. Research methods may sound boring but it was the best and most useful class I have taken thus far.

Judy is a great teacher. High energy and WANTS her students to succeed. My only issue is with her exams: she gives you study concepts, but there is always too much material to review and then half of it doesn't even end up on the exam. She needs to narrow down review material because It's impossible to remember everything and get a fair grade.

I am gald to be finished as the exams where a stressful study time, just to much to study..but if you go to class and read over the material its not so bad. I got an A+ but was not easy..great proff would definatly take another clas with her..

Judy is a wonderful professor, who will inpire and challange her students. Her class is straight forward, attend lectures, labs, and read the chapters and you are sure to get an A in her class.. put in a little extra work and you can walk away with an A+, i did :) would highly recommend taking her class! You will actually learn allot from her..

Pretty good prof that tries to keep you engaged, but the course is very boring and dry. Exams are a bit difficult, but as long as you do all the labs, lecture assignments, lab final, etc it will boost your mark easily. Textbook wasn't really needed though. Study your notes and do all the work and bonuses and you will be fine. Got an A- so not bad!

Judy is amazing! She's very clear and easy to understand, and has fun engaging lecture activities. Would definitely recommend her for experimental psych. I found the exams relatively easy as along as you read the textbook since she does not cover everything in lecture that are on exams.

Judy is super cute with a great personality. She has a well-structured, simple course that requires a bit of effort. If you've taken a stats course you'll find the math to be a lot less intensive and purely theoretical. Gives away free marks during lecture activities and has an engaging teaching style. Always willing to help. Would recommend!

Judy is awesome, she is very helpful and open to talk to you if you are struggling with a concept. She makes class fun by doing games such as jeopardy. She gets the class to participate in lectures to make them more reliable to people. I highly recommend taking her class.

Judy is super nice and friendly and makes this class easy and fun. No cumulative final - just three separate tests! Labs can be completed in class for almost no homework except for reading the textbook. This was a great intro to Psychology and her lectures are awesome - she posts notes for you to print off so you always are up to speed for slides.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Personally, I found her to be quite a harsh marker for assignments, however she gives just the right feedback so you're able to step up to the plate ready for next time. Very enthusiastic about her work and I hope I can find her in another psych course. Not too bad on the eyes either, just sayin'!

Only complaints are that she isn't clear on what to study for tests, and there are way too many assignments for labs. Still one of the best psyc teachers at Camosun. Very approachable.

I found this course much harder than the other intro psyc courses I have taken. Although Judy was helpful with assignments and her lectures were interesting, I still struggled with some of the material. She supplies an exam outline which I found helpful, and she is a quick marker which was a nice change!

Attendance is manditory. There is the occasional lecture activity and labs are packed with work! Your grade is based on tests, labs and lecture activitys.

Judy is always so happy and friendly! She is really passionate about psychology and knowledgeable. There are no surprises when it comes to tests, her labs labs are fairly easy. You need to attend both lecture and lab to do well. Textbook required. She is so adorable too!

Judy was a great professor! She is very nice and helpful. All the assignments were really easy, but the midterms were incredibly difficult. You'd pretty much have to memorize the textbook for them. The lectures were good and interesting, but they didn't cover everything that was on the tests.

I skipped 75% of lectures and finished with and A. She posts notes on D2l and provides a partially filled in book of notes which makes life easier.

Although my major is not psychology, I really enjoyed her class! She is the one of the best prof I've ever met. Everything was so clear and organized. She takes easy steps for people who are not familiar with psychology. She is always willing to help you. If you want take psychology classes go for Judy's class!

Her tests were SOOOO easy. Just do the study guides she has at the back of her lecture workbook.. I don't get how people are saying her tests are hard, they do not involve critical thinking whatsoever, I don't think they could be easier. She's very easy to listen to, she makes the lectures interesting. I enjoyed her class!

Really liked that we had lots of mini-assignments so you could constantly gauge how you were doing in the class. LOVED the fill-in workbook style for class notes -- it really helped me with remembering what was taught in lectures. The final exam is CUMULATIVE but only worth 30% of the final grade. Lots of bonus points on exams & assignments

This is a pretty tough, dry, but extremely important class. Judy made it as easy as possible to grasp the concepts. She has lots of great examples and stories to make the content understandable. She wants students to succeed but you definitely have to work hard and show up to get the marks. The course notes were really well done.

Great professor! This course had hardly any homework, all of the lab assignments I was able to do during class. It's very dry material but Judy does the best she can to make it more interesting. A really nice and caring professor.

I took Psych 201 online with Judy this semester and she is such a gem!! If I had any questions with assignments she answered her email in a timely matter and was always very sweet. Her lectures are good and her assignments are clear and not too hard. I really enjoyed the class and I highly recommend taking a class with Judy, she's awesome :)

Judy managed to make a dry subject interesting. Labs are easy and fun. Tests aren't too hard - just make sure you read the question and options carefully, sometimes uses tricky wording.

Judy is a fantastic professor. If you took previous PSYC classes, you'll be fine in 201. The research project is easy and simple as you want it to be, and she also gives amazing feedback when it comes to written papers. Flexible, flexible deadlines. Easiest class I've had so far! She's a real gem, and humorous despite the content she teaches.

Judy is so kind and gives great feedback, the tests really aren't as hard as ppl say, however, there is a lot of material to go over so studying takes awhile. She always get assignments and tests marked quickly and makes herself very accessible outside of class. The material is very dry, yet she makes her class bearable with easy activities!

I was so scared to take this course since everyone told me it's a hard one. However, Judy made it so easy and understandable for me. It's a heavy course so you have to work for it, but Judy is very helpful. Even Though the textbook was required, I only read her slides and still got A+. Definitely, recommend her.

Judy is a great lady and super compassionate about students situations and struggles. Incredibly lenient for late work, gives lots of bonus marks. Alot of emphasis on class participation and suggests a partial notes package and textbook to buy, would opt out of the partial notes package. Could easily go without textbook, read it maybe 2 times

Judy made a dry course very interesting and engaging. The course was well organized and sets you up to succeed. She's flexible with due dates and she'll always take the time to give extra help. I would definitely take another course with her!

The research methods in psych class was great! There are weekly lab assignments that aren't too difficult and she provides a lot of detail about what will be on the exams which made studying way less stressful. I learnt a lot in her class and she wasn't a tough grader and instead she was focused on providing great feedback!

Judy has made statistics way less scary for my liberal arts-focused brain! As a psyc major, there is no one I'd rather take this course from :) Judy clearly wants to see all of her students succeed! She patiently teaches difficult concepts in a variety of ways to ensure all students have fully grasped the content. Highly recommend her classes!

This is my second class with Judy. She is a great teacher and very understanding. She offers bonus marks on exams and makes boring content as interesting as possible. She is very quick to reply to emails. I wish she wouldn't take attendance marks away for students who were sick and I wish exam outliners were given out sooner. Final exam is heavy.

Judy is such a sweetheart! Cheerful and flexible with assignments. Tests were surprisingly difficult so be sure to study well in advance of exam date. I dreaded taking this class but overall found it quite enjoyable, mostly because Judy is such a nice person.

I had two classes with Judy and she is one of my favourite instructors I had by far! Caring, accessible outside of class, and flexible! She was clear on what she wanted for assignments/exams, but I wish that she gave the exam outlines sooner. Overall she was simply amazing!!!

Judy's PSYC201 class can be challenging, but with the right approach, it's very manageable. The content is dense, but her teaching style and resources like the Unstuckstudy platform make it much more digestible. Definitely worth taking if you're a psych major!

Her class was so fun. It went over everything in psych 110 but more in-depth. There is a lot of material, however the class is very well organized so it's manageable. There are easy labs and one big research paper that you need to go collect your own data. Don't buy the textbook I did not use it once.

Judy is one of the best professors I have had at camosun. Her teaching style and over attitude is phenomenal. Judy is always understanding and ready to gel any student who is struggling. She will assist if you are struggling and will ensure you are on track for the course as long as your are putting in the effort!! One of the BEST profs I have had!

I really struggled through this class on the math side of things, but Judy was kind and understanding and more than willing to help. She really goes the extra mile to help her students.

I enjoyed Judy's class, she can be a little unorganized sometimes but she's very kind. During lecture she breaks down difficult concepts so they are a lot easier to understand. The research project in this class can be intimidating at first but she gives a lot of helpful feedback during each process of it and it ends up being a lot of fun!
