Ms. H is HELLA COOL! She cracks funny jokes in class and is really just kinda "go with the flow". There's a lot of writing (mostly in class), but it's in prep for the mastery exam and to get into 1A. Don't be late--she'll hella bust you out by saying "Nice of you to show up!" with that great sarcasm of hers. She's really cool and down 2 earth.

She is one of the best professors i have had. Your essay topics are about what is current in the news and you can turn late essays in for full credit. She tries not to take up the whole class time; she knows that no one really wants to be in class. Try not to miss alot of class; you may miss an assignment, and some assignments you cant makeup.

Mrs. Hemington was one of the best professors I've had! Super sweet, really clear on directions,there wasn't alot of reading, make sure and make it to every class so you don't miss any assignments (you may not be able to make it up) the term paper at the end is worth 40% of your grade, just follow the outline and MLA format and you'll do great!

Super Easy! Eng.79 and Eng 1A. One of the easiest class I have taken here and passed with a A++. Of course you have to read and write, it's English but you only have to read a few pages a day. Loved the topics and arguments. Five page essay but you can double space if you write big or you can use regular paper and not college ruled.

Hard, but a great teacher and you feel accomplished getting an A in her class because she makes you learn. She is the best in her class.

Really good professor highly recommend her. She follows the philosophy that a student doesn't get better by just handing down a low graded paper but by giving the student room to improve..redo of low graded papers were encouraged. Best is only achieved by understanding your mistakes.

She offers more extra credit than you could possibly need, allows you to make up ANY assignment late with no deduction, and lets you redo any assignment or test for a better grade. One of my favorite teachers: quirky, good-natured, patient, provokes class discussions, tells you exactly what she wants in an essay and holds you to it (aiming for slightly above that gives you easy A's). If you have a problem, talk to her and she'll work with you. If you already know how to write good essays, it'll be a breeze. READ THE MATERIAL.

Dr. Hemington is awesome! She is by far the easiest ENG 1A instructors(I got an A). She gives a lot of papers, but if you're present in class they are easy. She does assign groups so be ready to carry a few people. There are 4 group assignments that MUST be completed, and she randomly assigns in class presentations. So if you are going to take her I would suggest showing up everyday. She takes late work and provides extra credit. So if you are dedicated and ready to work this class is for you.

Easiest, fastest class to take for summer. She has high expectations but as long as you show up for class and do the work, there is no way you can't pass. Very good Professor. She's straight and to the point. She is willing to help you when you need it. I had her in summer so papers were due every other day. There are in class timed writing papers that might kill you, but it isn't as bad as you think depending on how well you write under pressure and getting your main points out. Overall great.

Basically this professor changed my whole view on English class. She is so funny and she trails off the main point of what she's talking about a lot, but she is a very easy-going teacher and she gives off a really cool vibe. Super easy grader, and you can skip the class every now and then and won't miss much, as long as someone tells you the hw.

I am a D.S.P.S student i was told to take her from my E.O.P.S counselor best choice of my life. Not only was Dr. Hemington was informative, tests were easy. you have to show up in order to do presentations. stick to the recipe and you will be fine. But all in all she wonderful teacher that actually cares and will fight for her students .

Judy Hemington is funny and a great teacher. She always dismissed class early. She does give out lots of homework, but it is super easy. However, she can be confusing at times with homework and in-class work. If you don't understand, just ask her and she will gladly explain over and over again. :) !

Let me just say I took her class over 10 years ago and she has been such an inspirational teacher. I was originally in her Eng 79 class if I recall correctly and followed her ever since. She taught me how to write! I scored a 9/10 on my entry essay into CSU stanislaus. I wrote about her in my essay and meant every word! I owe it to her! a+ teacher

I can not describe how wonderful this teacher is! She gives clear instructions and if you follow them you will get an A. Not too many assignments and the ones assigned are simple and easy. Great teacher, attendance is very important when we do group "projects". I loved her because she tried to relate to us and make us feel like we are not alone. Sometimes her explanations can be a bit confusing but if you ask her to clarify she would be more than happy to help! I showed up to class, did every assignment and passed with an A!

She literally does nothing. All she does is check your essays for format. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this. Trust me when I say this, if you do the assignments, you'll pass.

I took this class in the fall of 2019. This prof explains a lot of things and sometimes miss some important stuff because she gets carried away talking about her younger days and gets off topic lol. But of course, she gives good advice on what you need for the class and life advices. There's a lot of work but she usually gives you more time on it.

I took ENGL C1000 online, and it was pretty easy. She gives full points on assignments even though they are late. There are 2 long reading assignments and movie assignments. Though some movies won't be available on the assignment, so you have to find them by renting or buying them. Overall, I enjoyed the class despite doing some of the long work.
