She has EXTREMELY specific expectations as far as how to answer questions on work & tests, but if you come to class EVERY day it will become clear thanks to playing jeopardy. Do not slack off. Try hard. She's a very nice and caring teacher, and great person. If you try, and don't miss class, you will do well, and will learn alot. Entertaining too!

Dr. Quon is funny and LOUD and sometimes goes off on tangents. Tests are easy just don't miss class. Work on the BE paper! Visit the SA's for help. See the guy if you can. I learned a lot from him. The girl was rude and kept changing her answers to my questions, or blew me off... very confusing and aggravating. Good riddance BE paper!!!

Her class is really entertaining. She made it interesting and relatable, so it was easy to understand the topics. Tests aren't hard, it's pretty much whatever she went through in class. BE paper killed..definitely go see Giovanni b/c he knew what he was talking about and he was more helpful. I would definitely take her class again if i could.

She's hilarious. but her BE papers are a pain in the butt. STUDY STUDYY STUDY! This class is not easy, but is really interesting. It makes my day majority of the time. She say some really powerful things, which i believe would make her a good therapist. Her stories are always heartwarming, she'll make you laugh every day.

Probably the best, most well-rounded teachers I've ever had. Her tests are moderately difficult, and the BE paper takes a lot of time, but it is entirely possible to get an A. She is very entertaining and will make you laugh every class. I highly recommend her for people actually willing to learn.

I loved this class. Quon was very good at explaining the concepts and as long as you take notes and read the book you will get A's on the tests (tests are based off notes!). Attendance not mandatory but necessary to get notes- a lot of exam questions come from lectures and some stuff she covers is not in the text book. 7 exams plus a final and drops your lowest test grade. Quon has high expectations. However, this class is passable if you study. She has you do weekly assignments that are a pain. On the bright side, they are not graded she just wants her students to know the information well. 3 exams, final (ten questions), and CCA paper.

She gives extra credit questions on the exams if people follow instructions. The BE paper is fairly easy if you understand the concept and you need to apply it to something that happened in real life.

Easy class if you really do all the assigned reading before each chapter test. Reading the book is key, and also very important that you attend class because she does explain everything well. The BE paper is easy just make sure to see a SA to double check ur work! and do the simple experiments that take maybe two hours of ur day.

Great teacher :) Her lectures do move fast, so you have to keep up, but she is very entertaining throughout her lecture. When working on the BE paper, GO TO OFFICE HOURS, they will help immensely because you really have to follow instructions!

If your looking for a class where you wont have to study, this isnt the class. Overall Judy is an awesome professor, she makes the subject fun and interesting, shes great at explaining concepts too. The test are manageable if you study her notes and read the chapter. I got a B and worked hard in this class. An A would consist of ALOT of studying.

I loved Quon as a professor. She was very knowledgable and gave personal stories to help us remember key topics. However, this class is one where studying is required for the exams which are given once every other week (frequently). Overall I enjoyed this class and having Quon as a lively and hilarious professor.

I took her for winter session and it was a great class! In my opinion I think taking her for winter is A LOT easier than during the semester. Her lecture is very clear and detailed however she does not post up her powerpoints so you MUST attend class! Her exams are very straightforward so study lecture notes and the book and you'll do fine.

I would honestly have to say that she has been one of my favorite professors thus far. She offers many examples in class that she puts on her exams. Her final is mini cumulative so it's not that bad. However, going to class and reading the text is a must! She made the material interesting- I definitely recommend her!

This class is pretty easy if you attend 90% of them and take really good notes. She has a pretty annoying voice and will call you out if you're in a group that talks alot or leaves early. But other than that, quizzes every 2 weeks on the information given before and a pretty easy final.

Before coming in this class i had no prior knowledge on psychology, but leaving it i loved it! She brings in lots of study hints and helps connect what we are learning to real life. I didn't have to study much to get A's on her tests. i definitely recommend her!

This is a tough class with a tough teacher, but if you do the work, go to class, read and work hard you can pass. Dr. Quon is willing to help you, just don't get intimidated by her toughness.

This class isn't as hard as these raters make it seem. To pass this class with an A or a B, you just really need to pay attention in class, take the notes she provides on the powerpoint, and study from the textbook. When I say study, I mean connect the info. from class and textbook, and memorize. This is college. Can't expect it to be too easy.

As a person, I thought Quon was great. She put stories in lecture to keep you interested, showed a couple movies on the subject, and gave clear outlines of what the exams would be like. However, for the huge paper assignment towards the end of the semester, she was extremely picky and just a really hard grader. It was kinda a mixed bag with her.

Dr Quon is super nice. If you put in the effort it doesn't go unnoticed. She doesn't post her PowerPoints online and suggest you bring your laptop to take notes. Judy Quon is by far the most helpful and organized professor I've ever had. She really makes you learn in class. You can't slack off in homework or participation and still expect an A. In the beginning I hated this class because it was so different and more difficult anything I have ever taken. Now that it is the end of the semester I love Quon. She really pushes you to succeed and learn the concepts so that you remember them from the beginning to end of semester. Jeopardy games for participation, 4 tests, and 1 paper. Doable.

At first, this class was really hard. But at the end of the semester I was doing really well. You just have to apply yourself and work hard. You can't pass if you don't. Jeopardy games are important. Doing the homework and understanding everything really helps with the CCA paper. She really helped me with this paper. 5 pts EC for attending daily.

She's amazing because she is an animated style type of person. Amazing lecturers, super funny . I always enjoyed and looked forward to learn PSY from her. There are 7 tests and a paper. Her tests are diff from others because she tests you on the concepts of psy so you must know the concepts well to do good on the tests. They are like short stories.

She is funny! She makes an hour long lecture seem half the time. She goes over material fast, so better be a good note taker. Lots of tests, but if your read the book and take good notes, it's easy! Would definitely take a class with her again!

She has 4 exams throughout the semester, a cumulative paper, and weekly assignments. The weekly assignments are pretty tough, but they are very helpful for understanding the concepts. This class is not an easy A. If you do weekly assignments and study for exams, you can do well in the class.

Dr. Quon is super hilarious. Have to keep up on the reading because tests are every other week, they aren't too hard but you need to read to pass. She's crystal clear about what you need to do for the paper and gives you all the info on the PP to pass the tests. However, I do agree with others that she goes through the PP rather quickly. Dr. Quon made my first course as a Psych major quite easy. She's super funny but doesn't post her powerpoints. Course consists of 1 BE paper, participation in a psych subject pool, 6 exams (lowest grade dropped), 1 final. Exams are divided into 6 in total so we wouldn't have to study so much and just focus on 2 chapters for each exam. I recommend!

I loved her as a professor. She does give lots of powerpoint notes and is fast paced but she does not give any unnecessary information. All you need to study are your notes from lecture, no textbook really needed. She is an amazing lecturer, keeps me engaged the whole time and gives great examples to help the concepts stick in my head.

I love Dr. Quon and wish I would've taken the critical thinking course with her for next semester. She's hilarious and tells funny stories as a way to relate to the material. We had 7 exams, but she did it that way we would just have to study 2 chapters for every exam other than a bunch. Don't skip class, she tests based on reading and lectures.

Professor Quon's lectures were entertaining. She really cares for her student but is very specific on how she wants her assignments done and turned in. You have homework weekly & the homework & test are all based on her notes. Write everything down & study it. Lectures on one day and jeopardy on the other day. Extra credit if you don't miss a class

attend the lectures & pay attention & you'll pass easily / do her assignments as it preps you for her tests / extra 5 points for perfect attendance / always available for office hours / keeps yours tests but you can review in her office / tests are easier than her assignments / tests are predictable / very organized and knows what's she is doing

Quon's lectures are entertaining; she uses personal experiences to help YOU understand a concept clearly. Make it to class, take good notes, and you'll be fine. 6 exams (lowest is dropped), 1 BE paper and the final. Highly recommend taking PSY 100 with Quon especially if it's just for GE. She is clear about how she grades and what she expects!

Homework assignments EVERY week. You play jeopardy every tuesday's and have lectures on thursday's. Only thing is that she is picky on your answers so she'll nit pick every little thing when you participate. Tests are about lectures and SOME textbook, so definitely show up to class everyday (plus you'll get 5 points ec if you don't miss).

Class was not easy but if you do all your homework you shouldn't get below a C on the tests! Participation in jeopardy feedback on YOUR answers, which will help you! Attend everyday for 5 extra credit points at the end. Also, try to go to her office hours when she assigns the CCA paper, it really helped to get feedback bc she is nit-picky.

I absolutely adored her. She was so funny and entertaining so it was easy to pay attention and understand concepts. There are 7 exams total that usually cover 1 or 2 chapters (your lowest score is dropped), the BE paper, and your study participation. Her tests are entirely based on lecture so make sure you take good notes!

I love her! As long as you take notes and study them you're set. She's dedicated to her work and is a really great professor. Always willing to help.

Lectures were at times funny and at most times very fast paced. Her lectures are basically what her tests are on so make sure you take good notes!! I believe we had 7-8 tests. We had a big paper called BE paper, a lot of work but plenty of time to do it. She may seem a bit intimidating first but she is super sweet.

This professor bases her exams all out of lecture, so taking good lecture notes is the key to an A. There is one paper but her directions are pretty straightforward. She offers a redo for the paper too for less points but it helps. She is pretty funny and her lectures are never boring. I recommend her for sure!

This professor is the most funniest and cutest thing ever. Her lectures are entertaining and she will have you laughing. Her tests are easy and straughtfoward go to all the lectures. One BE paper which is also easy and she lets you revise. Overall an awesome class, the only homeowork you have is the paper and studying. TAKE HER YOULL LOVE IT.

Everything on the test was included in lecture so its all on you to study. Her test questions were sometimes tricky with wording. One long paper that she graded so tough on that so many people received C or below & it was a good portion of your class grade.

Easily my favorite professor. Dr. Quon covers material very clearly (if a little fast) but you will be rewarded for working hard in her class. She uses "key factors" to highlight concepts she wants you to focus on and is very organized in general. She tells interesting stories that demonstrate psychological concepts and tells jokes. 10/10.

She is one of the best teachers you could possibly take. She really cares about her students and is an amazing lady. You will love the class just because of her. She gives very good lectures, and covers everything that will be on the test in her powerpoints. It is very important to take good notes and pay attention. You will love her.

Quon is one of my favorite professors! It is easy to see she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. The class is easy as long as you take good notes and review them. Psych 100 had 7 tests total but it was well structured and ended up being a benefit in the end. Everything comes straight from lectures! Highly recommend!

Not allowed to take pictures of lectures. If you try, she will catch you, and she will call you out in front of everyone. Test every two weeks, usually on a Tuesday.

Honestly, All you have to do to get an A in her class is to show up to her lectures! She gives lots of examples and her powerpoints are so organized and informative. She's very approachable and enthusiastic. The exams are mostly from her lectures so just take good notes on her powerpoint slides and the examples she gives in class.

Dr. Quon is an amazing professor! Just be sure to take good notes, her tests are made directly from the notes. It is also important to do good on your BE papers. Easy points that will boost your grade. This class isn't hard but it isn't an easy A. If you put in effort you'll do good in her class.

6 tests, 1 final, no quizzes, 1 paper, and experiment credit which needs to be done outside of class. Dr. Quon is so funny and is really good at making sure the information gets to you. Show up to class and you will pass!!! I got a 98% on the final if that helps y'all

She gives her own personal stories to help you remember the concepts. there is no homework and there is a test every two weeks so show up to class for the lectures. you don't use the book everything on the test is based on the lectures. overall if you study your notes it's an easy A. she is great!

everything is all lecture, her exams are based on the lectures so pay attention, take good notes or study someone else's notes who went to class. she has exams spread out the semester so its less material. she doesn't drop the lowest grade anymore. behavioral explanation paper is simple but people overthink it- just go to pscc lab for help.

Dr. Quon is hilarious, she never failed to make the class laugh! She made it fairly easy to understand the concepts of psychology by providing many real life examples. The exams are all based off the lecture notes, so attendance is mandatory in order to recieve a passing grade since she doesn't post the slides online. She made pyschology enjoyable!

She's very picky with the BE papers. Be ready for tests she often tricks on tests using the A or B choice or A,B,C.

Professor Quon is great! Even though attendance is not mandatory, if you want to pass, you need to go. She does not put the lecture slides online so it is your responsibility to go to class everyday to get the information you need. You take a total of 6 exams, and one final. There are 2 papers due, and one in class experiment.

Judy is a fantastic professor and person, all around. Her lectures can drag on and you'll need to learn to take notes fast, but she makes them interesting by applying real life examples and humor. She's a fair grader, and her tests are very straightforward. She sang for us at one point too, so there's that.

Dr. Quon is a great professor! The only difficult thing about this class is that when it comes to her two papers, the grading criteria is extremely specific. However, she's great at getting her information across and as long as you work hard you'll be fine. There are 6 exams and 1 final with extra credit on some. For her exams, STUDY THE LECTURES.

You can definitely get an A in this class if you study and REVIEW her notes. She also gives great examples of key terms, so make sure you also jot down some of the things she says. BE papers are not that bad. You can pass BE papers if you follow the examples that are posted online and listen to her detailed explanations of the concepts.

Take good, copious notes and go over them before the test. Follow the BE paper instructions to a tee and you will receive a passing grade. Her lectures are great, you just HAVE to attend.

This class was the easiest that I've taken in all of college. It's all memorization. Exactly what she lectures is on the test, no tricks. I studied the night before for all tesst and got A's on all of them. She is very stubborn, and she is not afraid to tell you that you're wrong, but I didn't really mind that much. You have to participate to pass.

Judy is a great professor! Attendance is not mandatory but she does go over the material in depth. Her lectures explain everything that will be on the test and you don't really need the book because of how good her lectures are. Judy is very strict on following directions. She's clear on everything that is needed to pass her class.

Judy Quon is an ideal professor! She gives good studying advice and life advice too! She is no professor for slackers, Just show up, take notes and study and you'll pass. I love her lectures and examples, she definitely explains what she goes through, so you'd have to ignore her not to pass. She's awesome and provides extra credit in exams.

Dr. Quon is super funny & makes her lectures enjoyable/memorable by telling stories that relate to some of the subjects. She doesn't take attendance (except for one in-class experiment). Her BE papers are kinda confusing but you get the chance to do a revision on both of them for credit. Definitely don't need the textbook so save your money.

I took her class because I read a lot of ratings on her, but I can see why some people wouldn't enjoy her class. I personally did because I actually came to class everyday, took notes (she doesn't post online), her lectures were fun and she made them easy to understand. She is bit of a challenging teacher, but I would take her classes again.

Dr. Quon gives amazing lectures. You don't really need the book since her lectures cover what's going to be on the test. There are 5 exams in total and 2 BE Papers along with some other class activities that are easy to do. The exams are a lot but it should be easy if you study. BE papers are a bit difficult but she does revisions.

Dr. Quon has very high criteria and her papers are very tedious, but she is funny and makes sure that the material she teaches is something we can understand.

I took her for psy130 and psy 100 and she's probably one of my most favorites professors. She tests EXACTLY on what she teaches and what she puts on her powerpoints, so attend lectures or ask for notes. Theres 2 BE papers, first will be tough because you dont know what she wants yet, but if you get help it's an easy A. didnt need textbook

Rarely use the textbook, tests were directly from lecture & homework so take good notes. On days you need the textbook just make a friend and have them send you pictures. Directions are clear on assignments, just follow them & you'll get an A. Pretty available and helpful. Do the homework on time & participate so class time is used effectively.

I took quon for both psych 100 and 130, so I know her inside out. In order to receive an A in both classes, you must take notes of every single word on her slides and write down her examples she says if they are not already on the powerpoints. Pay attention in class. Her exams are everything she lectures on. You do not need the textbook.

Take notes and pay attention. Write what she says and what is on the slides. Your hands will hurt after and in lecture, but it will all be worth it for a super easy A on the test. The BE papers are easy you just have to explain it and take her feedback and READ THE SYLLABUS SHE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING CLEARLY.

She makes BE papers a big deal but they aren't. Do your best on them, go to the writing center & her SA and don't worry about the rest. I done a litlle less than that and yeah I failed them both but I still passed with an A. She might be a tough grader but her lectures are WORTH IT!! Everything you'll see on the exam comes from her lectures.

Lectures are super informative. Take good notes, review them and you will pass. Psych in general requires a TON of info with ANY professor. I took AP psych in HS and I can be confident enough to tell you, AP Psych in HS was way tougher than this class (I got a C in AP Psych). Only take this class if you know you're going to study and work for it.

Initially I was very scared to sign up for her class because of some of the reviews, but her class was doable. Some of the people in my class came in to her class with a negative idea of her and remained for the rest of the semester (especially in the discord). The test is literally so easy if you take notes. I would take her again, intuition iskey

The Exams come straight from her Notes. All her exams have the same format so it is sometimes easy to predict what is the answer if you don't know. The only tough thing for this class was the writing assignments. AGAIN HER EXAMS COME FROM THE NOTES. I didn't read the textbook and got an A.

Okay, a lot of people in my class did not like Dr. Quon, personally I loved her class. Just pay attention to the lectures, take good notes because you can't go back and listen to lectures, and ask questions during the discussions and you should be fine. There were 4 exams on lecture, a BE paper (which was somewhat difficult), and a CE.

many people struggled with this class but i got a 97% by just writing down the notes in her lectures. her lectures are very thorough. she is a v meticulous grader and is kind of strict. she lets you redo a BE paper that most people fail the first time. she will only take excuses like death or severe illness as an excuse. most of the grade is exams

Personally, I think that this course was very interesting and not as hard as many of the students seem to say. I would say that the reason that students struggled was because they didnt do the lectures and take notes. If youre willing to put in the work, youll be just fine.

Watch the lectures and take notes. Study for the tests and you will do fine.

I took her class via distance learning for Fall 2020. Dr. Quon has a Ph.D. in I/O psychology and it shows when she teaches. Her course is structured: notes w/ video lectures, virtual lectures to clear confusion. Paper assignments need to be formatted per her requirements or you'll miss points. Not hard work, just tedious/detailed, time-consuming.

Professor Quon is not out to get you. There is one paper that's a bit difficult but you have a chance to redo it. The exams are all multiple choice. As long as you watch her lecture videos and go to class you're good. I didn't even use the textbook. She's really funny and actually cares about students.

Took her for both psy130 and psy100 and honestly was one of my most favorite professors. She tests EXACTLY to her lecture slides, so I personally never used the text. I honestly think the ppl giving her bad reviews just dont like the critical thinking she makes you do, which is not hard when she lets you revise your work for a higher grade...

I was scared of taking psy 100 with professor Judy quon but I turned out just fine. Just watch her lecture videos and take great notes. Write down all the tentative due dates because you will forget about them. BE paper seems hard but is ok. If you fail you have a chance to revise the paper and turn it in again. I suggest you go to office hours.

There are lecture videos and they are time consuming, but they're doable. There is a lot of material, so I suggest enrolling in the SI course if available. There's one big paper you have to write, but it's credit/no credit, and she offers a revision opportunity.

VERY TOUGH GRADER. 1 long hw and 1 long lecture video per week. Hw is credit or no credit, it does matter that IT'S CORRECT, or you will receive a 0, it doesn't matter about effort. YOU MUST follow her directions on each hw 100%!! Tests are ok, most of the questions are similar to the hw. Attend her class, she corrects hw, this will help you!!

She has zoom on Tuesday and lecture videos to watch on Thursdays. The lecture slides are fill in the blanks, so make sure to write down everything because she removes the videos permanently on the day of exam. The textbook is NOT necessary. Exams are based off the lecture videos. Make sure to get help from the student assistants for the BE paper.
