This prof did not explain anything to me and expected me to teach myself! I felt cheated of my tuition payment. Also, she made me buy expensive course "packet" in order to pass the class. No one should take College Algebra with her!
Show up, do the work she assigns you, and pay attention in class; thats all you have to do to get a good grade. I didn't put that much effort into her class and i am not good at math but i made a B.
STAY AWAY! Before each test you have to turn in about 15 pages from a packet (which you have to buy) along with about 500 problems from the book. I'm excellent at Algebra and the work took HOURS to do. I ended up tutoring half the class b/c she doesn't teach it herself. She's horrible. Take ANYONE else if you can.
Expects you to already know everything, very condesending. Gives you mass amounts of homework. Always tells the class "if you don't know this already you should move to a lower level." Worst teacher ever!

I had to drop out of this class and I've never dropped a class before. Each time I'd ask her for help she'd give me a one sentence answer and walk away then get upset when I didn't get an answer right. If you have trouble in math DONT take her.
She isnt very helpful, but the class isnt that hard. she gives you a packet that is very helpful, and she makes you turn in alot of homework for each test but its the only reason i got a B.
She's great!!!! She will not hold your hand through the class but she is there after class if you need help. As long as you come to class you will pass and as for the homework, it's not mandatory but it is extra credit so if you have a hard time on the tests then you can do the homework to make up for it.
While she may teach well, she is completely lacking as far as responsibility is concerned. She gives you a grade sheet and, get this, you get to "grade" yourself; put in whatever grade you like, scribble in some random jumble on the assignment, and she will thumb through your entire stack of homework-which you turn in on test days(and there will be
She is very easy. Math xl sucks and there is a lot of hw. However there is lots of extra credit. I turned in enough extra cedit to raise my grade from a 59 to an 82 in a month. She is not the greatest teacher but do your work and you will pass.
wow its funny how some things never change! I took her over 10 years ago & tho I did well, I realized then if u need any help she would NOT be there 4 ya. She does make people feel foolish 4 asking q's & does seem 2 expect u 2 get it right the 1st time! no patience for math impaired. if u require help in math - LOOK FOR ANOTHER PROF!!!
HORRIBLE!!! when you go to class she just puts everything up on the overhead and expects you to know how to do it. If you are not good in math dont take her. Wagner is an okay teacher. she makes alot of mistakes in her own math on the board and overhead. writes everything on the board...math xl sux but she gives a review which is identicle to the test.
I very much disliked her class. She makes mistakes in her own math, but she expects you to get it right the first time. If you ask questions, she looks at you like something is growing out of your head. She relies on Math XL to do the teaching. Her class made me hate math even more. Do NOT take this class...even if you do love math.
She goes very fast because there is a lot of material to cover! If you are decent with math it should not be a problem. There is TONS of homework assignments(mathXL and paper) which is an opportunity to keep your grade up, because its completion not comprehension. She has SOOO many opportunities for assistance outside of class.
She is an older prof who moves through material quickly, just does examples in class, and you MUST do Math XL or you will fail her class! If you are not very good at math or like a lot of the online math, or in class help then I really do not reccomend her. But, if you know what you are doing, and like teachers who get to the point,then its great.
fairly good techer. alot of homework and tests are moderately hard, but always willing to help and her office hours are late so it matches better to students schedules. also gives alot of extra credit.
I had this prof for intermed. Alg. and she made it a lot harder than it should have been. A lot of mathXL, and a ton of busy work. Unless your really good at math I do not recommend taking this prof. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF.

Gives too much homework for the average student (or even the above average student) and not enough time to complete said assignments. Also does not fully explain the material. I know math majors who have gotten confused by her explanations. Unless you are very comfortable sailing the algebra ship solo, do not take.
No time to focus on the "need to know" material, WAY to much time is needed on homework and quizes. Not only is their to much busy work but your realy going to struggle just to figure out what is due, when and how she wants it turned in (big time on micromanagment). I feel cheated out of time, money, and a class. Take at your own risk!
I sat right infront of her desk, I over herd her and her assistant make fun of the students answers while they graded it. I was sick one week and had to tell her if she wanted to talk to me about it she needed to wait. (she was openly very humilating and rude infront of the class) She wrote the booklet we use (all the time) in a hurry, cant read it
She is not a good teacher at all!!! WAY TO MUCH HOMEWORK!!! She is rude and not helpful AT ALL! If you take her class make sure you go over your test because she doesn't know grade right!! Wears the same clothes for 2 days and changes!! She wears these weird bows and crazy make up! JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS LADY!! She needs to be fired!
Mrs. Wagner is not a good teacher at all. i honestly think she believes everyone is a math major. if math is your weak subject like me then dont take her. WAY to much h.w. makes u feel stupid when u ask questions. Advice.. Do all the homework/math xl/take home exams/exam corrections.. and you will pass! I SWARE on it!

not too bad. there is a lot of work, BUT SHE GIVES YOU ALL THE ANSWERS. Elementary math concepts, all she asks of you is to do the work and come to class. If you follow her rules and instructions, you will pass, no doubt. just requires work, but hey thats what college is about!
Difficult teacher. She has a custom $35.00 'workbook' that has a billion pages of junk she expects her students to complete at the snap of a finger. Of the many times that students had her repeat problems, she left them feeling embarassed as if she was explaining something to a 1st grader.
If math is not your strong subject do not take this class. She isn't very clear on things and she just works the problems on the board without explaining how she did it. I only passed because I'm good at math. She expects you to spend three hours outside of class working on homework for every hour you in class.
my mom had judy & told me to get her. I loved her. Math is not my forte but as long as you do the homework, you will pass. she even tutors in the learning center.only people who don't like her r the 1's who don't do the xcredit & homework. & yrsupposed 2 do 3 hrs @ home for every class hour in college.I wish I could get her 2 teach my trig!
I had Judy over 20 years ago. I have serious problems with Alg. and although was a good student in all my other classes, due to my learning disability, took three attempts to pass high school alg. Judy helped me and I did all the extra credit and got an A.She tells people to take the course down so you have a solid foundation of math 4 later.
Protips: Sit in the front. Have 4-7 hours of free time for homework and an entire packet of notebook paper to show work. Buy her infernal packet. Do NOT take her class in the Summer (the stress will kill you). Don't expect help from her, go to the math lab. If you're good at math and catch on quickly, she's your kind of professor.
Super easy class, but she assigns tons of work. However, she doesn't even notice if you don't turn it all it. Her grading system is CRAZY at first, but you get used to it. Everything is out of like 50,000 points.
I took her over the summer and the class nearly killed me, but it was worth it. Do the packet and the online work! I know it's a lot of work, but if you learn how to do the work, you'll ace her tests. I noticed that the more homework I did, the better my grade was on the test. It'll pay off.
She give you too much online work with way too many problems on each assignment, has a set of worksheets to do along with online work. No one in the class can complete their tests within the class time, most of us have to go to the lab to finish. She gives you her own final along with the departmental fianl in the same day so dont plan on finishing

Odd grading system and you have to buy a packet and do the work in there (big packet, but like 2-4 questions on each page) Not much hw, she teaches fast but she doesn't have a choice. Sick of kids sighing everytime she goes onto new problem. You pay to learn and she will teach if you put in the work so quit whining. Her method is diff but it works!
I absolutely loved her. If she taught all the maths, i would have her for them all. She gives lots of easy extra credit. She also does most of the work you turn in before your test with you in class. She is there for you if you need her. She does expect you act as an adult and do your work, but is understanding also. Only downside: if you hate homework, prepare for hell.
SUPER easy class. I made a 104 at the end of the semester. It is A LOT of homework and paper work but as long as you turn it in there's no way you can fail. Plus, she doesn't even check if the work is done correctly just that it's done
She didn't bother to look up when she asked if a problem was understood. She loves her packet instead of the textbook. Saves money but in long run, gives no good references. Do NOT take her class unless you have hours to spend on homework,have time & $ to seek a tutor, AND great time mgmt. Extra credit means nothing if there is no understanding!
I would NOT recommend taking this class with her. She's a sweet lady but shes really hard to understand when it comes to trying to learn a concept. I could not keep up and ended up having to drop. give a BUNCHHHHHH of homework.
The work is easy, but she is overwhelmingly unclear about what work it is you need to do. She is very repetitive, she doesnt use a book only her packet, and she gives a monstrous amount of homework.
The teacher was very nice and walked you through the information slowly. I have been out of high school for 8 years and had to start in math 0312. I have a 99.98 and I am far from a math genius. Do the work on my math lab, stop in for tutoring in the learning center, and ASK QUESTIONS!!! Overall, great teacher. Don't buy the book!

I DO NOT recomend this teacher! She is very rude! She goes very fast, she rushes the students, writes sloppy work on the board so it is hard to understand, covers the board with her body as shes writing and explaining so I was left trying to tech myself what she just went over. Gives a lot of homework online. Just horrible overall
There is A Lot of homework that is expected to be done. It is due on the day of your test but it is a completion grade & she gives you the answers online. My math lab will be used for homework and is a bit more challenging. After every test she lets you do test corrections. She is confusing but if you know what you're doing you'll be fine.
Is there a lot of work? yes. This is college. If you complete the work you will get a good grade. A lot of people in my class complained about her as a teacher but if you do the extra credit it really does bring your grade up at least 10 points. I recommend her if you are not good at math.
Mrs. Wagner's class was the easiest math class I have ever taken. I am HORRIBLE at math but still managed to make a 99. She gives you plenty of extra credit opportunities and is very lenient with late work. There is a lot of work but if you do the reviews and homework the test will be a piece of cake. Reviews are exactly like test. TAKE HER!
A LOT OF HOMEWORK. If you are willing to do it, EASY A!!! If not, then DO NOT take her. She's very much willing to help you, she gives a lot of extra credit. I would suggest her if you aren't good at math. You'll end up learning if you do the work. She cares about her students, I think.

I would definitely recommend anyone who isn't good with math to take her!!! She makes class so interesting with all her comments and with the way she acts and dresses!!! There IS a lot of homework but if you do it and try your best on the tests it's an easy A/B! The reviews are just like the test. She gives A LOT of extra credit!! TAKE HER CLASS!!!
Lots of group work and packet work, on top of My Mathlab homework. I should have dropped it when I started getting all of her emails. This lady copies and pastes emails from previous semesters into long emails that tend to repeat themselves, only differing in highlighting colors. She seems to be coasting on her packet, memorizing the answers.
She's rude, not helpful, and gives close to 4 hours of online homework a day. If you aren't strong in math and wanting to learn, don't take her.
I didn't take math for a whole year before I took this class and all my life I only made C's in math. I have a 94 in her class. Its very very easy. BUT she is very rude. She goes by so fast. You can't have your phone or laptop out. If you just pay attention and do all the (Lots lots lots) homework, you will make an A.
This professor is hard to like. She is very, very unorganized in her class. If you ask for help, she would rudely answer your question. She assigns massive amount of homework each day. If I were you, and if I was stuck in this class, I would try to finish as much homework as possible early on. Also try to stay away from the projector. You'll See!
So much homework it was hard to keep up. The grading method she uses is so specific it's hard to understand exactly what your grade is in the class. Her lectures don't help as much as I was expecting. She mainly relies on the mymathlabs plus online homework to teach students. Course packet was huge and very expensive. I pretty good at math but was nervous taking this course in college when I didn't take math my junior and senior year in high school. But Mrs. Wagner was Awesome. I understood her lectures and she will sometimes help you if you have a question. She gives alot of homework but post the answers on encampus. Gives extra credit. Easy A. Loved her class.

I dropped after the 1st day & reg w/ another prof. Rude & condescending, w/in 1st 10min of class she handed out 9 packets of work. REQUIRES u 2buy a $38 course packet. Makes you sign a contract saying u will spend 3 hrs on hw per class hour, monotoned, very old, lots of hw, fast talker, stands in the way of board, last resort, DONT TAKE, AVOID!
She was very clear on what was going to happen is class. She gives a lot of hw but it really helps you out to do it. If you do the hw then the test are easy. Gives a lot of extra credit. She is not the easiest professor but you will learn everything you need to pass.
There is a lot of hw but not due till test day. & she does a good portion with you in class. She's a really good teacher & teaches you everything you need to know for the test. She assigns a lot of homework but she is very lenient with due dates. In class the lecture can sometimes be hard to follow depending on your peers but outside of class she is very helpful. Definitely see her during her office hours if you have any questions and she is very good with students one on one.
Man, this class was rough. I would avoid her at all costs. None of the students could see her writing on the board and she doesn't slow down for anyone. If you don't get it then you better hope that tutor room is open or at least bet on My Math Lab's to teach you. If you do have this class try and sit on the right side when facing her.
While she does give A LOT of homework, Professor Wagner is very lenient with her grading. All of your homework is due the day of the tests and she grades while you are taking the test. She gives a lot of different opportunities for extra credit and is always willing to extend due dates. Basically, I would be very surprised if anyone ever failed.

She is not clear when teaching and when you ask a question she makes you feel like an idiot and still doesn't explain the Material well. Expects you to do overwhelmingly amounts of homework.
Takes attendance. Very confusing about assignments and material that will be on quizzes/tests. DO NOT TAKE HER unless you are willing to put in at least 4 hour of work every night.

Most students dropped after the first day after they saw the packet she assigns for this class. I am easily scared by math work but I stuck around because I needed to pass. If you do the book work as well as the homework and stay on top of it, YOU WILL PASS. My test averages were not all great, but because of the assignments I exited this course!
If you are lazy, you probably will not do good in this class. She gives TONS of work which is due on the day of the test. But, because of all the work you will get a good grade in the class even if you do bad on the tests.
For the amount of material she is required to cover I was impressed that she still managed to go over it all even though we only had class twice a week for 4 months. There's tons of homework but if you prioritize and just get it done you will get 100s which will help your grade after taking tests. Do test corrections homework corrections it helps
Shes a nice teacher. She may come off as mean sometimes but she cares about her students. If you show up and pay attention there is no doubt you will not pass this class. She is very scatter-brained and does not give clear instructions ever!!! She will yell at you if you don't understand or ask a question or tell you to go to tutoring. Going to tutoring or working in groups is mandatory.

THE MOST confusing course work in the history of man. If you struggle slightly with math avoid her because she will make you stressed beyond belief. Assigns hours and hours of homework. Good luck trying to figure out what page numbers are due in your 'line number'. You'll never know when you're supposed to turn something in either. Ridicules students if they forget materials at home. Talks too fast and doesn't explain steps fully. Teaches sporadically. No order in concepts that shes teaching.

Ms. Wagner is a bit older than most teachers so it goes without saying that she is slighty behinf but she always seems to be ahead of the class. She teaches at a very fast pace and a low volume. There are so many papers she gives you that is extremely overwhelming! Not a very good professor but I suck at math and I somehow have a very high B. You can do corrections which helps a lot and there are so many grades that it actually helps your average. Overall, if you get her you'll be fine, but if you could maybe go for another professor.

Extremely knowledgeable of human psychology and behavior. She applies not only Math to her lectures but is very appealing to the eye and cares about her students. One time I fell asleep at home and she called me to make sure I wasn't late!! Now thats what I call, gratitude. I made it on time. --joke No seriously, she is a great professor!
Mrs Wagner is hilarious and a great teacher. It's almost impossible to fail her class. She gives so many opportunities to pass and redo your homework and tests until you get it correct. As long as you have a good sense of humor, this is a great class and wonderful teacher.
Terrible prof! WAY too much homework to focus on concepts and she rambles on unorganized in her lectures, notes, and emails. I think Mrs. Wagner needs a psychiatric evaluation - this is not an insult, but a legitimate concern. Absolutely the most confusing class I've ever taken. Would go out of my way to recommend students NOT take her class!
She piles and piles the work but never ends up grading them. Or sometimes she pushes it two to three classes back so you're over here stressing over this class and sometimes when she teaches you don't understand because she doesn't stop to explain.

Go to class, do not skip. This is a hard class, it is made to be hard and will force you to learn. Be prepared for three or more hours of homework each time you meet, I will not suggest anyone take this class. You will learn how to copy than actually lean. Heads up, you cannot go to the restroom during this class.
Honestly the worst professor/teacher I've ever had. Her lectures are confusing at best even if you fully understand the subject she is "teaching". She frequently gives homework over things that she has not taught yet. Mountains of homework every night with unclear deadlines. She is crazy and does not need to be teaching anymore.
there is an insane amount of homework. but i will admit she isn't lying when she says it will take you 3-4 hours to do your homework for every day you are in class. the stuff you do go over in class usually doesn't pertain to what you are expected to do on your own at home. expect to do a lot of self teaching.
There's a ton of homework, but luckily she lays it all out in the beginning. It seems kind of overwhelming but I wasn't a strong math student and ended up with an A. The classwork gets overwhelming you just need to learn how to manage your time, which as a college student you should be learning anyways. Lots of chances to bring your grade up.:)

She left me at a 79.4% for my semester average. I did all of the test corrections and turned in every homework assignment. Completed all of the mymathlabs that we assigned. I worked really hard for a B and barely missed it... Goodluck if you take her.
