This is about the easiest class you could ever take. All we did was watch videos and it was really fun. I recommend this class and the teacher is really nice too.

you can tell she truly loves film and she tries to pass that love onto her students. this class so easy! i took it during the summer and we had a mid-term (simple), a paper (3 pgs), and a final (even easier). just make sure to have perfect attendence.

She was very clear and spoke in easy to understnad terms. Despite sharing his classroom, much easier to understand than Bob Cohen (the other film class teacher). Only had one assigned paper, and 2 relatively simple tests. Highly recommended.

If truly interested in film or gender studies, you will get nothing out of this class. Pleasant but encourages no critical thinking, roughly 5 minutes of superficial discussion as class is ending, and shows subtle conservative bias, which leaves no room for feminist deconstruction of the filmic text or the choice of roles by actors.

This is by far the best teacher I have ever had, she is incourageing and her classes are easy if you come and pay attention, she writes down everything you need to know, I am changing my major because of her classes, she is a WONDERFUL teacher! Is avaiable and Very approachable,at anytime.

Nice teacher. Shows silly movies that aren't really the best for their genre. Talks a lot about the film business, only she was never in it. Her tests are simple if you already know anything about films or if you show up. The professor is always nice and has a smile on her face. I found the class an easy A if you do what you need to.

Very easy. Two tests and one 3-5 pager of movie of your choice. Attendance is somewhat "mandatory" but as long as you have a friend and netflix in the class there is not really a need to go. Very nice and knowledgeable about films. Films viewed are all classics

She truly loves film and has an appreciation for it passed on through her family. She's very helpful if u need it. Just watch movies so if you miss class rent the movie - paper, midterm, final. Movies range from the early 1900's-2000. It's an easy A+ class if u watch the movies and take notes. No h/w. If you can't make it have a friend sign you in.

History of Film- Awesome class I really learned a lot from her. I never bought a book, missed two classes (just rent the movie if you miss one) one assignment, midterm, and final. I got an A and saw some very cool films. As long as you're mature (this is college come on people) she's completely cool and easy to talk to.

This is a great class! She is passionate about film and very helpful! U come to class and watch a movie each time. Our class was able to meet screenwriter, Robin Swicord. She tells u exactly what is on the midterm/final. And there is one paper. It's an ez A if you watch the movies. U do not need to buy the book. She tells u the info u need from it.

A very easy class, but is a lot of fun. You watch a wide variety of movies. An easy 3pg paper, and for the 2 exams you have to know the casts (really simple). I recommend the 3 hr / once a week class. You can watch at one sitting and there is no homework. Attendance is a must.

Easiest class I've taken so far. You come in, start late, she lectures for 15 minutes, you take a 15 minute break, and then you watch a movie. She does change up the syllabus a little bit, but its no big deal. She says you have to do the one paper on a film noir movie, but i knew kids who did theirs on Alot Like Love w/Ashton Kutcher. Easy tests too

She's really cool and nice. Script writing class was interesting. Just listen for what's due. You have any problems just ask her, she's really helpful. Biggest project is write 20 page script for final, make sure you work on it early.

I loved Julia she was one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you have an interest in Screen Writing take this class! You will love it! She is helpful, clear and generally interested in her students.

I did't enjoy the class much. Very few movies that I actually liked. Take her if you don't have any other choices. It's an easy class but most of the other CA teachers are a lot easier than her. You actually have to spend some time for this class.

Shes a great teacher. If you go to the class and listen to her 45 minute lectures you will pass. I missed 2 classes and just made flashcards of her handouts and got As on all the quizzes/tests. Prof. Jenner is quick to respond and help with any questions via e-mail. The class was great and an easy one for summer.

I was interested at first, but I ended up bored (3 hr class). She's EXTREMELY sweet & easy. As far as learning goes, buy SCREENPLAY by Syd Field to learn about screenwriting concepts and structure; take Julia if you want to have some accountability in actually completing a script and some story concepts, as well as learn about the industry.

An awesome teacher! I had a blast in her class! If you are really into film, a lot of this class will be stating the obvious, but its a really good refresher. Reading the book really isn't need for the class, but it helps with your structure a lot. She'll help you out with whatever you need. Highly reccomend this class.

The class was stupid, but it was super easy. She basically gives notes and blabs about her opinions on the movies during lecture. Pretty much all the movies she screens suck. Her own film work she shows are really bad too. I wouldn't believe she was a professional if I didn't know it. If you are really into film, I'd take it with someone else.

Films are my life and that's all we did were watch them. Easy class, she gives you all the notes but you do have to study them for the test. One 3 page paper and that's it (sort of difficult but just ask her what's she's expecting on it she'll tell). A MUST TAKE CLASS!

Professor Brady-Jenner is one of my favorites. Her lectures are quick and interesting and she provides the notes for you. Watch a film in class each week. Write a 3-page paper ... not the easiest paper to write, but a nice change of pace from the usual college term paper. You really have to study for the midterm and final ...100 questions each.

Took this online. This teacher is awesome! She is really helpful, the movie selection was good. One discussion board with response a week. ~2 short quizzes a week(about5min). TAKE THIS CLASS. 50 question final, thats it. TAKE HER, SHES THE BEST!

This class is basically going to the movies every monday. if u can plan it right, u can skip lecture and just show up for the 2 hr video. the whole lecture is in ur tiny "text book" that she personally wrote, that has everything bolded in it that u need to know. everything in the book that is bolded is on the midterm and final THE BEST EASIST CLASS

Online class- I really liked her and her class. Very good organization, punctuality, and material. She has many great qualities of a college professor.

Fun class. Is really not hard at all. Just by showing up for class and staying to the end you get 10pts. per week. Rest of your grade is midterm, final, and paper. Lectures about genre and movie for roguhly 30 minutes and then you watch the movie for the week, so almost always get out early.

Professor Jenner is extremely nice, she is really helpful and i dont know a lot about what the other students said about her not responding to e-mails because she totally did. She was very clear in what she wanted and expected. no she didnt answer questions in the questions forum but hey other class mates did and its not hard to e-mail. simple.

If you do not take this class you are an idiot. The history of Film class is Two Tests, One 3-5 page paper and 16 weeks of watching great movies. The book you have to buy is less than $30 and is a word by word collection of every lecture for the semester. That means you do not have to take notes, just read along. Loved the class, take it.

The best film professor you could ever ask for. The text is small, easy-to-read. The tests are straight-forward but can be difficult if you're not paying attention. This is not some class you can just fall asleep in! There is a mid-term, Final, and a 3-4 page paper that involves watching a film (film-noir). Must be interested in film to do well!

You will find it very tempting to fall asleep during class, but if you actually watch the films, it makes your test easier. For the midterm, it's basically just cast memorization. She is a nice lady, but doesn't like slackers. Textbook is straightforward and short/fast to read.

Online Class easy, but good luck getting a hold with her, she never (almost) replies back, aweful links and organization, you are on your own. I am amazed she get's pay for the online class i can do that for free.

Took her online class was so much fun and learned a lot. If you own netflix this class will be a breeze, otherwise you may have difficulty finding the movies she assigns. I enjoyed this class very much. Recommend

Film Appreciation ONLINE. i hear she favors men in class tho. Easy class 1 quiz each week. 1 discussion comment and response. 1 midterm, 1 final. 1 Extra credit opportunity. I got a B cuz i forgot to do a few quizes but its an EASY A online. just 1-2 hours a week. Id usually do all the work in 1 night that it was due.

She's so nice and gives her students more than enough opportunities to get an A.

Jenner's class consists of lectures and movies. Her lectures are interesting and the movies are fun. If you can't stand b&w movies or are bothered by her textbook (which is inexpensive but could stand some professional editing) then you probably won't enjoy the class. If you like movies and can sit still for a few hours, you'll easily get an A.

Online summer class is way easy. Quizzes are automatic A's. Tests are automatic A's. The DBs are automatic A's if you link a YouTube clip. Some movies are interesting but ALL are old. No effort to pass the class. It is interesting and worth taking though

If you miss out on the movies, make sure you rent it and watch. Read her book and her tests are fine. Remember cast and writer or directer and her paper just make sure you pay attention to the directions. She really loves her job. Take her!!!

Brady-jenner is pretty chill/laid-back, i had no problem going to her class even at 7:30 am, once a week, she talks for about 30 mins then you watch a somewhat enjoyable movie. textbook is written by her and necessary to study for midterm/final and for her maybe like 6 hw assignments i recommend her class its a breeze and expands your mind easy a/b

You need to go to class. She talks for a little bit and the rest of the time you watch a film. She allows you to rewrite your paper if you talk to her about it. She wrote the book you use for class. Just read the book, and write a good paper and you will have a good grade! Just do not be late for the class

There is no reason to NOT like her or her class. Took her for American Cinema, the book is very easy to read, her lectures are EXACTLY LIKE THE BOOK. Gives you a study guide a couple weeks before midterm/finals, and the test is word-for-word like the guide. Gives you EXTRA CREDIT opportunities. You really have to try to get anything below an A.

Probably one of the more interesting professors on campus because she is very passionate and also successful in her area of study. I thought the movies would suck considering they were mostly black and white, but it was only until after I gained the knowledge and appreciation behind the movies she selects did the class become super interesting.

Prof Brady-Jenner is great professor with passion in what she is teaching. Her professional and family background are admirable because of what she believed and accomplished. I now have different perfective of Film than I ever was.. Take this for an easy A (if you study).

This prof seems high strung/frazzled. I don't feel she should be teaching an online class, her lectures+ emails are littered with typos. She also responds to your emails from like 3 different addresses. She wrote her own textbook and it's literally a bunch of her lectures typed out and scanned together, not worth the $ even though it's used a lot.

TAKE. She literally tells you what's on both tests in lecture, & you can just highlight it all in textbook. 1 midterm & 1 final with thorough review sheets for each. Dude.. it's an easy A all by watching movies. Crazy not to take this class.

Such a fun and relaxing class. Short lecture before every movie that you can read in her book. Attend every class and watch movie - you'll do well. Downside is you HAVE to buy her $60 book for a few worksheets. Won't let you photocopy them from someone else. Besides that, there's a midterm and final that she provides review sheets for. shes nice but you wont be able to sell back your book which she wrote so basically everyone who takes her class has to pay top dollar for new book that they won get money back on and all the money goes to her. I wish she would change her movie list the first 3 movies are good.

Mid Term and Final cover a lot of material, it's scantron but 100 questions so study the study guide and any notes you have as she will tell you when something will be on the test. Homework was really easy, I did have to pay for like 2 amazon movies that I rented, no big deal. I get the feeling she was an easy grader on the writing assignments.

She is a very fair, easy going, and fun teacher. Great class to take for a GPA booster. If you don't get an A in this class your would have to be either 1. Lazy and you should die, or 2nd you never went to class. Be respectful and turn your phones off and don't put your feet up on the other chairs like your at home.

Study guide has everything you need for the test. Buy the workbook as you have hw on it. Not much hw tho. 1 Midterm and 1 Final (not cumulative). The workbook's straightforward and easy to read too. Movies were interesting (except the documentary). Easy and entertaining class!

This class was great. Professor was absolutely amazing! If you get the chance, talk to her about some of the movies, she is so fun to talk to and really makes you interested in this subject. You watch great movies every class. Finals are straight from the study guide, study it and you get AT LEAST a B. She even gave us 3 freebee answers.

Took CTVR 3 online and it is the easiest class I have ever taken in my life. Super easy and the professor is super clear about what she wants. First thing's first: BUY THE ONLINE TEXTBOOK!!! This saved me from hours of searching through the book with built in search features. Also, she will relentlessly spoil every movie you watch before you watch it so if you hate spoilers, this isn't the class for you.

Super easy class! She lectures for 30-45 minutes at the beginning of the class, then shows a movie. Strict no phone policy, but it didn't matter because she made class so much fun! Study the study guide she gives you for midterm and Final and you will ace the class.

Very funny and articulate lady. Very helpful and easily approachable. She tells you what to know and what you don't need to know often. Only a few homework assignments and quizzes. The homework is extremely easy. Gives great study guides for tests but the tests are hard. If you don't plan on going to every class don't sign up, miss 1-2 max.

Mandatory attendance, miss three classes you get dropped or failed. Super easy, make sure to study for tests in advance. Lots of memorization but very easy.

I loved taking CVTR3 with Professor Jenner. Class is easy, really. You watch a movie every week. Tests are straightforward from study guide that she passes out.

Makes you sign the attendance sheet after every class, her lectures are directly from the book. 100 q final and midterm, easy A if you study and pay attention.

I took this class over the Summer. As long as you do the work and complete the assignments on time, you will do well in the class. She is very responsive to emails and the textbook is mandatory. I used the online book and it was cheaper and easier. The professor will send out a link with details on how to purchase both. I would highly recommend her

Professor Brady- Jenner was really sweet and straightforward. She tells you In the very beginning how the class will be and what you will be graded on. Come to class and don't fall asleep during the movies because you will be tested!

Take this class! You show up, watch the movie, and leave. The homework is easy and not frequent. Tests are easy. This is the easiest art credit there is.

She just lectures the first half of the class and the second half you just watch a movie. The homework was basically just two "essays" (they can literally just be two paragraphs) about movies you watched on your own or quick little worksheets. Tests are also easy and she's super sweet

Her class is a lot of fun. She is caring and respectful. She does grade on attendance and participation since it is a film class and you watch movies. You can also take her class on-line.

I cannot say how much i love professor jenner enough i took her Women in Film class as well and i just wish she taught more. She loves film & really, truly cares for her students. Her class curriculum is very straight forward & there are no surprises. The homework and film analysis are fun and easy but be sure to study for the midterm and final!

Cannot say enough about her. Barely any homework. What little homework there is pulled from the textbook which she wrote herself. Such an easy and laid back class. Highly highly recommend.

Believe it or not this is a movie class therefore yes she does not like cell phones during class. She is very nice and lectures are interesting. Took class for fun and elective credit, very easy. Pay attention, do homework (which takes no more than 15 minutes typically), and you'll pass with an A. Tests are very easy just memorization of names.

Read the lectures, watch assigned movies, stay up to due dates: easiest A of your life. The only downside: her textbook.

Took her online. Movie selection was really good. I enjoyed them. Easy A if you put effort by watching the movies. Hw is DB based on the movies and a 10 question quiz. Both twice a week. That was for an 8 week class though. Midterm and final are 100 question multiple choice. Really easy if you watched the movies.

This is the second online summer class I have taken from her. She is pretty easy if you do the work and show her that you care, then you will get an A. Buy the online book, it is cheaper and has a search function. The class consist of weekly movies, quiz's on lectures, and DB Post. Usually one a week, sometimes two.

She's a great professor and is understanding unless stated otherwise by instruction. She's graded my two late assignments even though she said she wouldn't take them. Be consistent and you'll definitely pass.

She makes the class really enjoyable although it was online and as you watch movies, you learn a lot about cinema and movies. She grades easily and cares about her students. I was really surprised at how much I loved this class. I expected black and white films to drag on but they were just as great as the rest of the films in the class. Tests and quiz's are what you've learned and lectures are reasonable length and informative. This class was a treat as was the professor! Must Take!

She is the best, most intelligent teacher I've ever had. She's obviously knowledgeable about her subject- but she's also so caring. She actually wants to hear from her students! She sets up her class for you to pass, and she will remember you if you actually talk to her and care about the subject. She inspired me to change my major. Just the best.

This class was very easy and very enjoyable. As long as you do the assignments and do an average amount of studying, you will pass with ease. Only 2 tests. She keeps class very simple and she picks some great films for viewing. Would definitely take again.

Best professor I have had at Saddleback! You have to buy her book, but it is such an easy read and only contains the info you need to know! She is very passionate about what she talks about and it comes across in her lectures! Definitely recommend her class to anyone who wants to watch some great films, read great material and get an A!

Great lectures, easy class, but not brainless. Tests are easy if you paid attention and studied her review sheets. Homework takes no more than 10 min each to complete. Fantastic class!

Prof Jenner is an amazing professor. She is caring, gives great lectures & shows great films! About 3 or 4 write ups only a paragraph or two. 2 exams and yes you do need to know the names of directors, producers & actors. This is cinema! Study guide is very good prep for exams. She is very fair & has a sense of humor. Would definitely take again!

If you want an easy A take this class . If you have the time and enjoy movies take this class. I learned a lot about how movies are made. She uses her own book which makes every quiz , the midterm and final easy.

This was a very fun elective class. She's passionate about films and it really shows. This was a great class to take as an elective. I did not expect much going into this class, and I learned a lot. She is very passionate and a fair grader. You must buy her ebook on GRTEP website. She does take a long time to grade homework assignments and does not communicate well through email. The homework is so simple. Highly recommend.

Professor Brady-Jenner is nice and responds to emails quickly. A few things bother me about this class. 1. She REQUIRES you to buy her textbook that she wrote. If you don't, she'll drop you. 2. Wonderful professor, great selection of movies. Discussions based on movies every week and quizzes. I really enjoyed this class, learned a lot about movies. Midterm I almost ran out of time, be prepared, read over the study guide. Final was I believe easier. Also uses her own book that she wrote, it made it feel more connected to her.

you have to buy her textbook & just get the online one. it's half the price and you can search things. try hard on the quizzes, and the discussions are easy to get full credit if you respond to someone else + your post. the midterm & final have repeated questions. the movies are actually really really good. watch when they interest you.

Brady-Jenner's class is one of the easiest you'll take at any institution of higher learning. She's polite and knowledgeable while grading on very few things. You show up, listen to a 20 to 30 min lecture, and watch a film. That's it! As long as you read her text and complete the assignments (all online), her class will be a breeze.

Very engaging teacher with great passion for the subject of Cinema. Prepares you for exams. You'll watch lots of variety in films. She will work with you if needed. Very caring about students. Changes things from outline so if you're not in class you will not know what's going on. Class discussions on test.

I took this class for the summer. When you expect to take a class in the summer it is suppose to be fast pace, but gave more time to do assignments. Theres a lot of discussions boards. The midterm is more than the final. On the midterm and the final there were surprised questions we were not even taught, which was weird. Do the work and get an A.

Her lectures are really entertaining, and so are the movies. There are 12 quizzes, a midterm, a final, 3 assignments, and 6 discussions. You watch movies for the discussions, and they are easy. Just answer the prompt. She doesn't want essay long answers on her assignments and discussions. Her quizzes are based off the lectures. Manageable class!

Absolutely incredible! The class was an easy A, every zoom meeting was counted as extra credit! She is very sweet and tells amazing stories about her father and grandfather in the world of cinema! I really enjoyed the class and I am going to take another one of her classes in the future!

If you quizlet this class like 90% of the people do it is an easy A, if you want to do it all on your own be prepared for a ridiculous amount of reading and watching of videos/movies. I decided to take the former route rather than the latter, so the class was great haha.

You get to watch amazing movies throughout the semester so why not take this class. If you join her random zoom meetings she will give your extra credit. Max 10 extra credit points.

I really enjoyed this class in terms of information and material, it was a little disappointing because it was supposed to be in person and got moved to online. I would say if you are going to take this class take it in person because keeping up with not only the lectures but also the movies was pretty difficult by yourself at home.

It was a good online class to take during the summer, the quizzes were based on the textbook readings which was accessible online. The final was also a cumulation of things reviewed in the reading. The textbook was fun as it was made by the teacher in a way that makes it easy to read. Teacher has a good online presence and cares about the subject.

SUPER CHILL CLASS. You are assigned a reading, quiz and a movie. A couple of times you are also assigned with an easy discussion post. Movies are pretty interesting. Don't get me wrong some were boring TO ME but overall such a chill and easy A.

I enjoyed this class. The tasks are simple; you watch a movie, complete the modules, and read a short chapter on different genres of film each week + take a small quiz on it after. Prof. Brady-Jenner provides study guides for both the midterm and final, and there is nothing on either of those tests that isn't covered in the reading. She's great! :)

This class is a breeze. All you need to do is watch movies every week. However, you'll need to shell out $70.00 for her book and syllabus, which feels a bit unnecessary since she covers everything in class anyway. Just a heads up, there's no making up for late work, so keep on top of things.

Professor Jenner is super knowledgeable on the topic of Film and TV. The online textbook we used in this course was easy to understand, and she includes a lot of her own experiences in the industry to exemplify what we learn. I took it asynchronously and had a lot of fun.
