This teacher knows her stuff, and you will leave the class learning tons of new and interesting things. however, her tests seem real easy but shes an extremely tough grader since they are all short answer exams. And I felt the grading was unfair for exams
she scares me!!!
She really does know her stuff. She expects alot out of you. If you just want an easy credit humanities class I wouldn't reccomend her. Although I did like her personality. She is a big Feminist. She is a pretty smart witty chick.
she gets on my nerves. i think she's rude and selfish.
she was a
dont take if you are a male. she is extreme gorilla feminist. she even makes you go to a website called gorilla girls. iteresting material but she was bunk. very bunk.
she expects too much for an unweighted course, and is very self absorbed...usually acting as if her interpretation of material is the only one, when the piece is obviously multivalent.
I dropped her class the first day. I walked in there and she dropped this ridiculous load on everyone. She expects way too much...I have a life you know. Oh yeah, and then we played the name game for the last hour and a half.
she's definately not the best. her expectations are way too high. the class is too much for load for just an elective. she is a feminist but the gorilla girls is the easiest stuff. some things are god learning but it's also a lot of work. i'm surprised i passed. just try not to take her. it's not worth it
Does not move in a clear direction. Students do not know what she expects. Grading is harsh and unfair.

the subject matter of the course is interesting, but she is NOT!! she is incredibly rude and abrasive. everytime she talks about mid-eastern culture, she immediately begins to play 20 questions with the students who are mid-eastern. it's rude and they look really uncomfortable and disrespected by her comments. she makes too many assumptions about peoples' backgrounds and then reads us the riot act if we come close to sounding vaguely ignorant. i would never take a course from her again.
She expects too much of a 100 level class. She assumes that everyone taking the class plans to be an humanities major. On the good side she is very smart and knows the material in and out. I would steer clear of her. Never puts notes on the board and is a feminist... Good luck if your male.
I have taken and survived some pretty horrendous classes (like with Sherwood Edwards), but I have to admit I think this woman actually enjoys being despised by her classes. She is completely vague in direction and expects the class to write papers on readings never discussed in class and try to blindly guess on how she interpreted the work. I have
I have never seen an honors teacher give so much busy work, be so rude, harsh, and unforgiving- only to wonder why no one wants to have discussions in her class. She is absolutely ridiculous and the only teacher I can honestly say that I not only despised as a teacher, but as a person. If you do end up being stuck in her class- remember always show
worst teacher i have ever had. she is unclear on what to study. she is all over the place when she teaches. this lady thinks she is so smart, but really she doesn't know anything about teaching or preparing students for tests etc.. find a different teacher, this one is horrible.
This teacher is a good challenge. She's tough as **** but it's very rewarding to make it through her class. Just be prepared to read an entire history book front to back. And remember... tough as ****.

She is a good teacher, but very hard. You must really support your opinion with quotes from the book to get a good grade on papers. She gives a lot of busy work. To do good, you have to read all the assignments, and the book has almost 3000 pages. I learned a lot, but it was way to much work.
The ratings on here are pretty unfair. She is a good teacher and does care. If you read the book carefully and take notes, and listen in class you will do fine. Easy A. I wasn't doing those things at first and did awful, but then did those things and got a good grade in the class.
She grades very harshly and she is very sarcastic with her comments. Keep your head up if she upsets you, that's all I can say.
Do not take her! She does not know how to teach. She tries to impress students with her wit because she doesn't have any friends.
was really hard and really intimidating at first. tests were hard, but somehow i got Bs on them. after you get to know her, she isnt that bad, but her teaching methods are a little off. she offers extra credit outside of class, so that is a big grade booster. unfortunately she sends you to mosques, temples, and the art institute on your own time
She was a pretty good teacher...though she is not the easiest grader. She is hard on her students overall and has a very high expectations....
Extremely rude and difficult. She is such a mean teacher and very unhelpful. I have straight 'A's for 3 years and I struggled to get a C in this class. Terrible teacher
She is mean, scarcastic, unclear, unorganized, unhelpful, unknowledgeable, and a horrible teacher. We had 40 students the first day of the semester and had 13 at the end. BE CAREFUL!
She is a teacher that wants students to fail. Our tests answers need to be very detailed but she doesn't give us enough time to elaborate. She thinks she is teaching at Harvard and the only class we are taking is hers, and we have no life outside of her class. The work load is absurd as are the time limits she gives us on every assignment
There are not enough negative things to say about this wanna be ivy league professor. She seems to take her bitterness towards being rejected from actual universities to taking it out on her junior college students. I thought most people with doctorate degrees taught at 4 year schools? Her class is unreasonably difficult, its not honors class!
She is hard but fair. I enjoyed all the information she gave us and have new appreciation for the subject.
Unconstructively sarcastic, harsh, unfair, abrasive and unorganized. There is nothing good I can say about this Prof. other than I am suprised I even got a C. How COD keeps a Prof with a horrible teaching ethic like this, I have no clue. I would never recommend this Prof to anyone.
She is hard and expects her students to work, do not except a blowoff class, but it is college why should you, read and participate makes the class easier be sure not to take her views seriously when they come out(they will) remember it is her views of the world not yours and she will do the same for you, be prepared to back up what you say
She is such a hard grader! Took points off for misspelling big words on the tests. She doesn't return back your work for weeks. I did extra credit by going to museums in the city (with admission fees) and had to write a paper. Only worth 7 points, but she only gave me 5 out of the 7! The tests are mainly all essay and very tough! u won't get an A
This teacher is a joke!!!she does not educate students properly, and she grades papers like if you have a degree in Humanities. She makes you go to museums and plays for extra credit and she doesn't even give you the full points.
Teacher not worth taking. She told me to put my paper under her office door and she lost it. I talked to her about my lost paper and she said that it was my fault for losing it. She yells at students for no reason ...not a teacher worth taking.
Worst humanities teacher ever! It's supposed to be an intro class and she treated as if we were all there to learn everything there was to know about humanities. She's incredibly rude and not very helpful. She gets perturbed easily and asks questions that don't pertain to the reading, but you're expected to know the answers. DO NOT TAKE HER
she is rude and hard to pass i had mono and couldnt get out of bed and instead of giving me extra time she failed all of my assignments
I'm in her class right now it's an intro class, she has test that are only essays and are rarely finished. The class average was low for the tests. She has a horrible teaching ethic/philosophy and I wouldn't recomend taking her class, I regret it. She also thinks that she's not responsible for your grade, you are. BULL! If the whole class does bad.
worst class ive ever taken...too many assignments at once, it's immposible to keep track of everything! u'll be learning about china in class, doing a group project on africa, and doing an individual project on india ALL AT THE SAME TIME! she also expects u to visit museums and hindu temples and whatnot outside of class. she's very rude as well...
She is a total B. I took an online course. She gave absolutely no instructions on how to use the website which was unnecessarily convoluted and confusing. She expected the class to complete group assignments in an online environment. I could smell her stupidity and ignorance a mile away and dropped the class in under 2 weeks
By far the hardest class I've taken at COD. Her honors class work load is intense! Her class was extremely painful (I'm Catholic). She's not afraid to voice her anti-Christian opinions or feminism. How missionaries are basically "evil" is a reoccuring theme. X-tra credit is'nt worth doing (lots of work for little points). Avoid her if you can!
Probably the WORST college professor i have ever had! This was the first online class i ever took and after this class im never taking one again. She is very rude and not understanding at all, I had two family emergencies the same week a major project was due and she wouldnt make any exceptions. Her questions on assignments dont make any sense.
The worst teacher I've ever had!!!!
The tests are the hardest part of this class. She grades with half points.
WORST professor ever. You'll regret ever taking her! Average score for the entire class on projects/tests was 50% of the actual score. She's rude and not understanding. It takes forever to receive responses to emails and tests scores. Workload as much as three classes in one. Don't take this class unless you want to spend everyday doing homework!!!
This prof is very very hard. If you aren't looking for a challenge, don't take her class. However, if it is to late to back out, don't worry. Make sure you do ALL your assignments, readings, and attend every class! Study very hard for tests, because they are all essay and short answer, winging it isn't an option. You will need effort. Good luck!
She is a very intelligent person and knows exactly what she is talking about but she has very high expectations for her students. ATTENDANCE = MANDITORY & she has no problem getting on your case if you come to class late. Lots of bookwork and tests are pretty tough. Partner tests are an option though but it doesnt make them easier.
I have both positive and negative points about this prof. Although I can say that she is definately my least favorite prof. so far. I give her credit for learning all students names, as most profs. do not. Very harsh individual, pop quizes when cell phones ring, roll a die to see if there is a quiz, if 1 min late to class, your hw not accepted.
she's the worst teacher in the world! she wants everyone to fail. she likes to make people feel stupid she is so picky with grading and nothin is good enough for her. she makes you go to meusums and plays which is expensive! impossible to get a decent grade, she is very rude. started off with 35 students and when i dropped there were only 10 left.
worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I have never gotten anything but A's and I could barely pull a C. She is extremely rude and inconsiderate and has so problem making fun of people in front of everyone. There were also a few **** comments made. Never take her, she is horrible and should be fired for the way she is.
Dont take this class.Do your self a favour dont take this class. I started out with a 4.0. I had to study extremly hard to get a B. Science classes weren't as hard as this class. You cant miss a day of class or you will be lost. Take this class only if you have a form of self hatred going on. Beware of this professior.
This class was very hard. I took her online humanities class. There was a lot of reading I mean a lot of ready. She blamed me for her mistakes and basically because she did not know how to use blackboard. Then she told me I was difficult to work with Aren't we the customer in this situation. I would look for a different professor.
You people don't belong in college. It's clearly too demanding to actually WORK for your grades. SO much whining, so little taking responsibility for yourself.
I took her online humanities course.I constantly had problems with blackboard and the tests/quizs and couldn't get her to respond to any of my e-mails or calls until I called COD about it. The tests cover an insane amount of material it's impossible to take the test without frantically going through the book. This class is just jeopardy. Not learni
Took her independent study class... she is so rude, "You know.. I have 5 other classes" when I asked her about my assignment (it had been 3 weeks and I hadn't heard anything!) SORRY I CARE ABOUT MY HARD WORK!! UGH don't take her, for the love of God. Doesn't answer emails, tests are insane.. We need to report her.
This professor is absolutely terrible. i wish i would have read these things about her before i took her. she is impossible to get a hold of, rude...etc. DO NOT take her!!!!
An excellent teacher. Only hard on those who don't put in the effort or attend class. Knows her stuff and is very willing to help if you help yourself. Thought-provoking. Taking her class was truly a life-changing event. Definitely take her class!
One of the worst teachers I had...Didn't explain things well..and the test are incredibly hard! I took her my first semester at COD and I should have withdrew from it...I ended up failing the class and retook the class with Professor Frazier! On the first day of class i had 2 other students from this class in my next one! Don't take her!
I actually DID learn a lot from this class but it was not reflected in my grade. The thing is, Diliberti is a SUBJECTIVE grader. On tests, she asks you to evaluate a piece of art and basically to give your opinion. If she doesn't like your opinion..guess what... you're wrong. She is also very condescending. I don't like her.
Very difficult class. The tests are impossible. I would never recommend this professor. I never missed a class, did every assignment, but it didn't help with tests.
Very poor people skills, can be a bull through a china shop. Her classes will require more work then all your other classes combined. Even other Faculty members at the College of DuPage told me to avoid her.
Horrible! Do not take classes with Diliberti.
run... seriously... im not the type that drops a class so i stuck it out. i didnt learn much and what i did learn my classmates and i taught ourselves. super stressful. it is because of this teacher that i check ratemyprofessors.com for every teacher i take... if you are already stuck. i fell your pain and good luck, you'll need it ;)
Great teacher, but very strict. If u admire art & wanna learn how to dissect it, u'll have to be patient & diligent & try seeing it through her perspective--a great critic! I don't why she is mean/rude sometimes, but she certainly tests your conviction/determination as a college student, perhaps to weed out weaker students who drop out in 2 days.
You will learn a lot about yourself and the world around you, specifically art. She is very straightforward and demanding but a great teacher in that if you do you work and are paying for the class to actually learn something and get your moneys worth you will.
Man she was hard!!!! Run as fast as you can she gace so much work it was ridiculuos she's very strict and will argue with yiu about her own beliefs terrible teacher
Dr. DiLeberti is a terrible teacher!!! She will get mad at you if you look bored, or arent participating as much as you did the class before. Also, if you ask her a question she won't answer it. She will answer it with a question, leaving you so confused! I am one to actually put up with teachers, but she is terrible and rude.
It's simple... Excellent teacher for those who want to learn the correct way. Does get upset when students lack interest but what teacher that actually cares about her position wouldn't! COD is lucky to have her. Her grading is hard but plenty of extra credit options are given. Those who rated her poorly simply aren't ready for college.
What i hated the most about this class, is her testing! i did amazing on everything in the class, i studied, students would even do group studies outside of class and barely anyone ever got a C on a test! soooo hard! And her making us to go to the art institute downtown! Pay for the train or gas, pay to get in pay to get back home! woow!
Let's just say that at the beginning of the semester I was not too fond of Dr. diLiberti. However, by the end of the course I realized that she was one of the best professors I've ever had. Her class is no walk in the park but if you put in time and effort you will learn a lot from her. Her class was money well spent for me and life changing.
She is the worst teacher!!!!
This teacher was the worst... ruined my whole semester
have never felt so proud! She is very funny and knows everything about anything. After one class she will remember your name and what you do in life, your major, etc.. she is great!
This teacher is horrible. I would not take her class even if i had to wait another semester.
She's a hard grader, gives a lot of work. Expects you to know all material and be able to discuss it. WARNING do not take this class very boring and hard. She is late but does not allow you to be late.
very difficult grader and will look at your writing very precisely. does give out extra credit for events in school but doesn't tell you the time of that event. she's strict especially the reading responses and discussion boards. if your wanna those people who wants to take on hard challenges i say take her class but its very risky decision to take
DON'T TAKE! Nothing good enough, delayed grading, inconsistent grading, hard to get a hold of, doesn't respond to emails, doesn't answer questions, not helpful at all! Very rude, didn't teach us anything. Class was read text participate in discussion with other students and she would grade but never helped explain anything. Was always unreachable
She makes you read and you have to buy the books. But she takes the time to read your work even though you can't read them.
Awesome! We read about beer and other alcohol and then learned about art. She's passionate and likes her students except if they get loud. She hates cell phones though.
If you don't read the syllabus, forget it. She has rules. BUT you learn a lot and she tells you exactly what will be on the tests.
I've never had a teacher who let me take the test with a partner. She lets you do that on part of the test. Sometimes she lets you consult with other students during the exam. If you fail the class you're not really trying at all
FUN! She tries activities at least, and she tries to make everyobyd talk.
Her class was very challenging, but it was worth taking since I learned so much. She is very strict, but fair. She gives a lot extra credit out and her class is very engaging!
Prof. DiLiberti was a hard teacher but, she was a great one. She made students work for their grades and she would help students if she saw that they were trying in the class. She is strict but, she was just preparing students for the real world. Bosses won't take late work so neither will she. One of the best teachers I had at COD.
We had great debates, she did not always agree with my view points, however she was able to open my mind to see why she thought the way she did. Hard but learned alot!
I keep reading how hard the tests are but she lets you work with partner for part of the test if you want. Plus her reviews always cover the test stuff. She TOTALLY wants people to pass the class.
Wow! Never had to read so much in my life! I needed allot of help but she encouraged me to finish and I did! I would take her again.
Dr. Diliberti is an awesome professor. She cares about her students and their learning and she works hard to make the class fun. Humanities is more or less required so it's not easy to make students love something they are required to take but she does her very best and you know...she succeeds. Listen, you have to do your work to get a good grade.
This professor is someone who deserves a low rating. She likes giving people a hard time, and is extremely difficult to communicate with. Knowing how to teach a class is one thing, but constantly changing the syllabus, and telling students to talk with her "in her office hours" only instead of in class is pathetic. Don't waste your time, PLEASE!
I was lucky to pass her class with a solid grade bc of the ec she gave out in the semester. I enjoyed her class, well the subject, and I did learn a lot of stuff. But she would always talk so fast bc of the amount of content she needed to say, as if she was in a race, and she won't repeat it if you ask. Her tests are hard-get ready to write ALOT!:
The worst teacher I've ever had in my college career. I enjoyed the content of the class but not her. She's rude.
I would strongly recommend not to take this class, unless you have a lot of time on your hands and ready to be criticized by the teacher. She's the only right one in the class and does not care of what her students are telling her. By far the worst teacher i have ever taken in all the years.
She is a hard grader and is very picky about your homework. Go to the extra credit though you get 6 points to go each time. She is a very rude teacher and i dread going to class everyday. I strongly recommend not taking this teacher.
Seriously if your reading some of these reviews and your thinking she can't be that bad believe me she is. Everything that is said about her is true 100% she argues with the students, has an over inflated ego, she thinks she's always right, she's rude and disrespectful, just down right bad! she is a really educated but her ego is unbelievable!
Worst teacher I've had at the college of dupage. Assignments are hard and she's a very strict grader. You need to write in so much detail or you will not pass an assignment. All tests are rushed with minimal time limits and all the tests are on a projector, not given to you on paper. Rushes through lectures. Unfair teaching techniques.
I would not take this class ever again! In my year at the college I have no received this bad of a grade! I am getting a D right now and I am a A/B student. She gives assignments up the ass and doesn't explain well at all. She is a very tough grader and you literally have to write your heart out with details to pass an assignment. BEWARE!!
Dr. Diliberti is an interesting professor I must say. For the first Three months I thought I hated her. She thinks she is always right and will be quick to put student's answers down. There aren't that many projects but they are VERY time consuming. As long as you do your work EXACTLY HOW SHE WANTS IT DONE, you have a chance of passing, she's tough
Julia does a great job of making sure students get to know one another. She tries to instill critical thought & I think that's the reason for so many complaints here. She makes you WORK & THINK, no scantron tests here. I know this is seen as radicle but if you are ready to LEARN and accept a challenge I highly recommend her. If not, do not bother.
I was an Art major so I had to take this class. I have never gotten below an A in any art class ever! I received a D. and did not pass. She was Extremely rude to me. she even pulled me aside to yell at me about asking someone behind me a question really fast. I honestly hate her. I retook the same class at UVU and got an A. That should explain it.
I don't know if this was just a bad semester for her, maybe she had some other things to take care of but she made the whole class stress out because of her not being very organized. What she lectured was fine and fun to learn but when it came to grading, that just wasn't her forte. On the plus side though, if her phone goes off you get 3 pts EC.
She's really helpful and as long as you understand her criteria it's an easy A. Just do exactly what she says. I loved her and everything was very interesting. Overall I would take it again.
Dr. diLiberti's lectures are interesting , and she assigns entertaining texts. She gives questions for each assigned chapter that will prepare you for tests. She has high standards, but clearly defines expectations. Participate in class, do your work, make flashcards of the art used in class, and you should get an A. If you slack off, you'll fail.
Dr. DiLiberti is an amazing professor! She gives great lectures and our final project was fun. If you don't get a good grade, you're not putting forth an effort. The assigned reading is interesting, her assignments prepare you for the tests and quizzes. Be respectful by not talking or playing with your phone in class. It's common courtesy, people!
She is a very subjective grader, and it doesn't make sense when she asks for your opinion. Opinions will vary in a course like this. You can work as hard as you can, but if she doesn't agree with your answer she takes off a ridiculous amount of points. If you can't drop just write as much as you can on assignments, and may the odds be in your favor
Great class. I learned a ton in this class. If you do what you're supposed to, I mean, read the stuff, you know, book and stuff, you'll be fine.
I love her. I think she has amazing lectures as long as the class participates. When the class participates its fun. Don't be shy she will make you think. There are a lot of readings up we do go over them in class and if they are hard she will tell you to wait and read it after the lecture. Always do the readings even if you don 100% understand it.
If you want to get a bad grade, then go ahead and take her. She gives you ZERO points for ONE LITTLE MISTAKE. Instead of listening to what you have to say, she totally disregards it. She makes us read, makes us do a blog and youtube page. A outside project. First class I've had to drop. Take it with somebody else!
I took this class after taking a harder Humanities class online(which I got an A in), now I am in hef class and I am hoping to pass with a C at best. She puts so much work on you and is the hardest grader I have had before. She is detail oriented, and will not respond to your emails. Do not take her if you're looking for an easy gen-ed pass.
Horrible! You have to do so much work in the class and expects you to have complete of the impossible readings she gives you. She is weird and judgmental, if you don't agree with her then she considers your opinion wrong. Her projects have insane requirements, she asked to give phone numbers of friends and family members to call about the project.
Please do yourself a favor and do not take her class. She is the worst professor I have ever had to deal with. She will not respond to your questions and grades very hard. If you make one small mistake, or say something she does not agree with, she will mark you off for many points. She is way too difficult and picky for what she wants. DON'T TAKE!
The hardest grader I have ever come across, nor does she care about if you understand the class or not. Very bad attitude as well as rude.
This is BY FAR, the worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. I am an art major and really enjoyed what we were learning but she ruined the class for me. She failed me so I retook the class next semester with a different teacher and got an A. Extremely rude and a tough grader. It's almost as if she wants everyone to fail.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!! Not only is she extremely rude & mean, but also makes her class near to impossible to succeed in. Lots of homework & tests are extremely difficult. Also a VERY VERY VERY hard grader. She's the kind of teacher that's so miserable, she teaches so she can feel like she has power over people to make herself feel better.
Amazing teacher. I was nervous because her syllabus is VERY specific about what she wants in regards to homework, papers, etc but if you go to class/do the work/participate, you'll pass. Be respectful- she doesn't like profanity and will give you a pop quiz if she hears/sees a cell phone. I actually enjoyed this class and learned a lot. IT WAS FUN!
Do NOT take her Online class. Tough Grader. Ridiculous requirements for homeworks. Gives a 0 for little mistake and for not following her extensive rules and demands. Get ready. Beware.
Great professor really makes you think . It is not the coursework that is hard. It is the extensive amount of rules she has when writing a paper. If your paper is not stapled, not double spaced, not in the correct font, etc. she will not accept it and will give you a zero. Also she is a tough grader. She takes FOREVER to grade any assignments.
I took and failed a humanities course the previous semester. That put a bad taste in my mouth. I thought I wouldn't like this class. It was pretty much a history class. But it was a bunch of stuff that I didn't know and I found the material interesting. I would recommend her.
Professor diLiberti admits in the syllabus that she isn't tech savvy and it shows. I really struggled to understand the nature of the assignments. It felt rather convoluted and unnecessarily difficult. She also struggled to keep blackboard updated and multiple assignment due dates were pushed back multiple times because of her tech mistakes.
I would NEVER recommend this teacher. I am generally an A/B student, especially in arts/English courses. I would do an entire assignment&she would still give me a '0' b/c of something small, or b/c it was missing my usual 'flare'. She has very unnecessary criteria for assignments&b/c of that, I had to do the same field trip twice. Take anybody else
DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASSES WITH THIS TEACHER. Extremely lecture & reading heavy which is usually fine for me but she's also an extremely tough grader to the point where it's not even fair. Also does not allow you to take bathroom breaks during class.
There are WAY more students who like Dr. diLiberti than don't. Unfortunately the only ones who seem to rate her are the ones who don't. She is tough but fair (you will learn a lot and you will laugh). You paid for this class. You'll get out of it what you put into it. Stop whining and read, think, discuss, and write.
She is absolutely terrible. I will never take any class by her again. She messed up grading one of my play annotations, so after noticing this I brought it up to her and she said she would take a look at it. It took her 3 weeks to return it back to me graded correctly and SHE TOOK POINTS OFF FOR IT BEING LATE. All because I pointed that out.
She completely ruined this class for me. Shes a tough grader and will take off points for the littlest things. Also she shows no sympathy towards students. Youre constantly reading and her attitude is just awful. I was honor roll and this is the only class I got a bad grade on so that tells you a lot. Save yourself the suffering.
Probably the worst professor I have taken to date. If you have never taken humanities, do yourself a favor and don't take Prof. Diliberti. She is a great person but has a terrible teaching style. If your goal is to succeed and get good grades, this is not the class to do that. Save yourself frustration and misery and dont take this class.
This one of my first classes taken in my young college career and I loved it. She makes you think outside of the box and to be creative. She treats you like an adult and is passionate about her work. Her syllabus is very specific, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Follow the rules and syllabus and you'll be fine.
Do not take her classes.
Prof Diliberti is a very nice woman but she is super unorganized. I had to correct her on info she contradicted herself on so many times & she grades SUPER specifically. She didnt go along w/her syllabus/calendar because shes easily distracted. She can also be pretty moody at times but she was very good about getting the class to talk to each other
Tough, tough grader. If you do not conform to her beliefs of what the material she presents, she will challenge your thoughts and beliefs in front of the class and make you feel as if it would been better to keep quiet. Unfortunate time in this class given that we must learn about an array of cultures and perspectives. POC are especially a target.
Seems like she may have been a nice lady before the pandemic. I am indifferent about masks and abide to the rules, but she will go out of her way to stop class to go on tangents about masks. Basically if "Can I speak to your manager about the mask policy?" was a person. Easy A if you read, but she will attack you if you don't have the same beliefs.
Her class is an overload of work. If youre not a big reader I do not recommend you to take this class. She is strict with her grading and expects a lot from her students. From my experience and my classmates, She makes everything so much harder than it has to be and wont help if you fall behind. She seems like a nice lady outside of school.
Dr. DiLiberti is an incredibly kind and intelligent professor that helped me rediscover my love for art. She makes you work hard but its for your own benefit.
If you're interactive the class is a lot more engaging. Her grading system is so weird and I almost got a B in the class even though I turned everything in. Ask questions during class bc she's hard to reach and her instructions are always somehow extremely long and unclear. She is also very passive aggressive so do not back down on your ideas.
Honestly one of the worst teachers I have ever experienced, anywhere. You cannot use the bathroom or leave the classroom without her threatening an absence. She is very insensitive and says the most out of pocket stuff. Would give negative rating if could. DO NOT RECOMMEND
The ratings are true and as updated as they seem. This professor is a tough grader, strict instructor, and her expectations and instructions are unclear. Her standards are very high and she is rather rude when you speak to her at times. It can take a while to get in touch with her. Beware as well, she has few assignments, so each point counts.
Even if your ideas/opinions are wrong or ridiculous, say them in class. She likes students who are skeptical and argue some opinions, so it is definitely okay to not always agree with her. And if you give well thought out answers on homework, you will be fine.
The class goes fast as there is so much to learn. Do not fall behind on reading and take notes as you read!!!!! The tests are basically all you get graded on, if you need assistance stay after class!!!
This professor give lectures upon lectures upon lectures, For the test she doesn't allow any study guides or pictures being taken. She asked our class how could she help us do better on the next test and took none of our options. She acts extremely nice but is super rude and never gives clear answers. Dont recommend this class at all.
Overall, this class is very inspirational and interesting to learn about. The lessons are educational and thought provoking. However, this professor was just not fitting for me. Many times, although it does not seem to be on purpose, she could be very rude. Shes a harsh grader and participation really matters. If not you will likely be called out.
You cannot use the restroom during this class.
you cannot to read her feedback on tests because of her handwriting, she will say to stay after class if you have questions. You cannot use the bathroom. She does EVERYTHING on paper so handwritten only. She can be very petty and rude when you speak to her or try to correct her. Very unorganized writes the lectures on white board all over.
The worst teacher I have ever experienced. So strict, rude, and unorganized. She does not teach clearly, everything is scattered on the board she hand writes. DO NOT TAKE HER. Everything has to be handwritten. All the rates are true so please I do NOT recommend her, multiple students from my class dropped out including me.
There are quizzes every week which can be very long. Almost every quiz requires NUMEROUS long essay type questions. She has no organization, everything is all over the place. She does not explain assignments and overloads the amount of work you have to do. She is terrible at responding to emails. Save yourself the stress, do not take her.
If you enjoy SUFFERING go ahead and take this professor, other than that DO NOT TAKE HER. She is the least understanding professor I have ever taken. Even if you are going through a personal struggle she still expects students to do everything on time and perfectly. Her tests are very hard and all written format, she isn't an easy grader either.
I am begging y'all not to take her. I would study for two days straight and feel confident about the test to get a 60%. She is the HARDEST grader ever. Seems excellent at first but ends up being the worst professor COD has to offer. Seriously, if you want your GPA to drop, take her class. Absolutely the worst teacher I've ever had.
SHE IS VERY TOUGH GRADER I WILL NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS PREFESSOR AGAIN
For context, I am not someone who has ever struggled academically, and I normally do well with an online formatted class. She is so disorganized from her syllabus to her announcements and HW assignments, spelling errors all of the time. Good luck deciphering. You can never get ahold of her. HW is worth very little points, but she expects ESSAYS.
For someone who wants clarity and detail, she fails miserably at demonstrating what she asks for. For the love of God do not take this class. The book is a great read, but she is chaotic. HW assignments are worth 2 pts each, but she wants ESSAYS. Never able to get ahold of her, the feedback she gives is terrible on assignments.
Very disorganized, wanted very specific answers on tests but didn't give clear instructions. Made us purchase a book and figure out how to watch a documentary that wasn't available easily. Lots of work and stress for what should be a very easy class. Tests/assignments had multiple spelling errors and she is a very tough grader. would NOT recommend.
The reviews are TRUE. She is a very difficult teacher. Possibly the worst teacher I had. She is very sarcastic and has smart remarks when you are simply asking her for help. I would not recommend her.
Avoid this professor if possible. Disorganized, unclear expectations, and extremely harsh grading. However, the textbook is a good read. unstuckstudy could help with prep, but this class is a real challenge.
I want to know as much as she knows. I want to learn, and she taught.
Very disorganized. Wanted insanely in-depth answers for things worth very little points. This is a gen ed required class and she acts like it's a phd level course. Harsh grading and confusing comments on answers. Do NOT reccomend. Also made us try to find a documentary and buy 2 books. Wouldn't let us wear perfume/cologne??
I took this class a little while ago, but forgot that this website even existed so I wanted to put my input. She is a very heavy grader and expects too much of you for a gen ed class. The level of difficulty is not worth the headache and if you aren't in the same "mindset" as a humanities expert, then you are basically wrong. Would not take again.
SHe's okay, but can be mean.
This teacher is VERY disorganized. Barely to none assignments to get your grade up. If you walk out the class too much she will send you a harsh email. This is a gen ed required class and she acts like it's a phd level course. She will not give out half of the info that will be on the test. Is mean, treats u like a child. DO NOT recommend at all.
She is the worst professor/teacher I've ever had. She is extremely disorganized, changes the weekly schedule numerous times, isn't clear on instructions, and doesn't teach half the stuff on the tests. There are 3 tests in the whole class and that's basically your grade. Her lectures are written on the whiteboard and very messy. DO NOT take her.
DON'T take this class. One of the worst professors. She's very unorganized, doesn't give enough time for the tests, and she always switches her schedule. She doesn't know how to teach. Just don't take her.
The material on the tests wasn't conveyed properly. A lot of questions would be about specific information that was only discussed extremely briefly multiple weeks before the test, without any communication that we should be remembering it or taking notes about it for the test specifically.
Disorganized class. She gets upset if you wear perfume/cologne. Very few grades, so one bad test hurts. Tests include random details mentioned once weeks ago without warning. The schedule changes often, and due dates aren't clear. Hard to know what's expected. Wouldn't recommend. She's the worst professor I've had yet.
She's so disorganized and expects SO much of you. Very tough grader and expects you to have the perfect responses. DO NOT TAKE HER!! Learned my lesson!
Do everything in your power not to take her! She is a very tough grader. Expects soo much and if you say something she doesn't agree with, you will definitely fail the assignment. I did all my work and still had an F, which made me drop the class.
Old-school teaching with very limited points and no study guides, so staying on top of work is critical. I learned from the material, but the stress level was high for a gen ed. Patience declined over the semester and classes sometimes ended early. Not ideal for students taking 15 credits. Would not take again.
