she may assign a lot of homework but at least she is fun to be in class with.

Julia will expect you to do your part and study, but if you have any questions, she will map out the steps you need and make sure that you understand the material. She is an awesome teacher and you should get at least a B if you try.

Proffesor moore is a gret teacher, im not sure why she has bad ratings. Yea, there is a lot of homework, but if you dont like it its only 10% of the grade anyway. She doesnt tear apart the homework, she just makes sure you did everything and showed work. She doesnt even check your answers.

Lots of homework but that is ok. If you do all of the homework the test are very easy. She is very helpful.

professor moore is very detail oriented, very responsible, and expects it from her students..you can tell she loves math and wants to share that with her classroom, she knows her stuff, if you show up to every class, do your homework, and study you will pass the class, if you ask for help she will assist..i recommend using m/lab, ProfMoore is a goo

If you are a person who has always struggled with math and it has just never clicked with you, then she would really help. She said herself she used to hate math and wasn't any good at it until she had one teacher that got her into it. She's that teacher for me. She doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. She's cool as hell!

She was a great teacher. She cares about each student and wants everyone to do well. She will try her best to make you understand the material and help you get through it. She tries to make Math interesting, even though many students do not like math.

If you are good at Math I wouldn't take her. If you arn't so great than she is the one for you! She was extremely helpful for those who needed it, but would get angry at me for doing next week's homework in class. So if you're good its only a headach, and if you're bad than she's a god send. Either way "YOU HAVE TO SHOW ALL WORK!" not joking

If you show up to class this course will not be that difficult. Do the homework assigned and study for tests. Moore expects a lot from her students but only because she wants you to suceed. She's very funny and highly relatable. Great teacher!

Awesome professor. Very approachable, and hilarious. She's very outgoing, so don't take this class if you don't have a sense of humor. It does require some work to do well, but if you do the assignments and go to class, you'll be fine.

This teacher is the best math teacher i have ever had including high school. I am in 107 and so far already know a lot of the material and it is so cool to see how much people have already learned from her in only three days. she makes class extremely fun and you want to actaully go to class plus she is hilarious.

I love this class she is a great professor her teaching style anyone can get it! She interacts with the class, she is totally funny which makes her personality hot, im a girl and I don't like girls that way but she is so awesome but you definetly have to do your homework that way its easier to remember to memorize formulas!!! If you dislike math like I do and you need an entry level class for transfer, you'll be lucky to get Julia. Every other math teacher I've had has bored me to death, but Julia keeps students engaged with her humor and in-your-face teaching style. If you're easily offended you might not care for her spontaneous vulgarity, but I found it hilarious.

Julia Moore was one of my favorite teachers! If I could have her for ALL of my classes I would do it. Moore made class interesting. I love her attitude and how she connects with her students. I had more motivation and felt less bored in class.

This prof was good and I would take her again. The class was full of really tough material and went fast during the summer semester - but she broke it up well. I worked HARD for my grade tho!

I've had her for 107 & 110, two classes that she made clear & simple to me (and I HATE MATH) I love this chick and would take her again in a second. As for that last post: I've never seen her be rude to any student, but she does move fast sometimes. And she's waaaay smart, man. Sounds like someone didn't pass her class and is pissed. Grow up, man.

Very helpful teacher. Stats was my worst subject and she made it seem bearable. I couldn't get to her office either, but she made time to meet with me outside of her office hour. She couldn't do it all the time, so I used the math lab too. Never heard her make fun of anyone, very nice teacher!

LOVED this teacher! Super nice, never made fun of anyone but herself, great sense of humor, made the class fun sometimes. It is a hard class but if you do the homework and study you'll be okay. She's always willing to help and stays after class.

I had Julia for Calc I this past semester and her class was tough, but good. I have always stuggled with math before, and she really helped me do well in the class. You have to do the homework or you'll get lost quickly. Make sure you know trig, too.

She was late to some classes. She posted notes to blackboard. Make sure you do the homework and ask questions when you don't get a concept. Tests were hard but quizzes were pretty easy. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

I HATE Math with a passion. I have had Julia for 104 and 107, and I love her. She is clear, interesting, and not your everyday math teacher. She is so nice and she always is free to help. Julia Moore is an okay professor. She understands what she's doing and is pretty decent at presenting it to the class. She goes VERY fast through the material and usually won't slow down if the class isn't understanding what's going on. She'll explain very well if you ask her 1:1, however. HARSH grading.

Great professor. Daily notes can sometimes be a a little erratic but she gives ample time to go over examples and homework EVERY DAY. You will not see anything on a test that was not in your homework and you will not see anything on the final that was not on a previous test. Very clear on what she wants you to know and how you will be graded.

Do the homework and the material will make sense. Quizzes and tests are based on homework and notes. Miss a class miss notes, fail or do poorly on quizzes and tests. Get material from fellow students, use the math lab, get extra instruction from her during office office hours.

She is incredibly passionate about stats and loves what she does. Explains in a clear understandable way. My only issue is that she is an excessively nitpicky grader even for a math teacher. Everything must be done exactly as shown in class or you lose points. Lecture noes are also posted on blackboard which aids in studying. Highly recommended!

Julia Moore is the best math professor that you could ask for. She will challenge you, but she will work with you every step of the way. Her notes are derived from the book and they are very organized and helpful. She is also, in general, an excellent human being and I strongly recommend you take her if you get the chance.

I thought she explained the concepts well and it is really helpful how she posts the notes on BB. She is also hilarious (it's amazing how unprofessional she is...but I loved that about her) and she is very approachable. This is one of the harder classes I've taken at CC, and I would definitely recommend keeping up with the hw and studying a lot.

Great teacher but tough. You will learn a lot. You have to spend a lot of time on the homework. Only 4 tests, 4 quizzes, and final exam. Lowest quiz store is dropped. Homework doesn't count towards your grade. 15 out of the 35 probably failed but if you put the time in you will pass. Just ask questions in class and she will answer them.

I LOVE professor Moore! She is so much fun, explains the concepts amazingly and in a way that even someone who is horrible at math can do it, and she is so easy to talk to. My favorite part about her is that she believes that the "why" of some things needs to be explained, and that really helps me understand the concepts and steps.

Its math so if you dont understand you should show up. But julia makes the class much more than the average prof.

Good teacher, but very fast paced. Even the more basic algebra classes like 110 are tough and half the class had dropped before the semester ended. If youre looking for a easy class to breeze through, this is not the one. But if apply yourself, you will learn alot with this instructor

Julia is tough but hilarious. Ive never loved a math teacher, or even liked a math class, til now. She is very real life, "this is when you WILL use this" type of thing. Tests ARE tough, you must study. Do your homework because she surprises you with homework copy quizzes. Ask questions in class and utilize her office hours. Shes very descriptive.

She is hilarious! She moves very fast, but she cares! She is one of the better math teachers I've had! I actually feel free to ask questions in this class!

I loved taking Professor Moore's class! She was honestly one of the best professors I've had at GRCC, and only wish that she taught more classes. She explains concepts very well, and answers any questions you could have. I also had a lot of family stuff going on when I took the class, and she was very understanding. Plus her tattoo is sick!

Prof. Moore is the best math teacher I ever had. She's hilarious and really tries to teach and prepare students for tests. Expect A LOT of homework. I went through 1 1/2 notebooks of paper doing homework. HW itself is not graded, but she will take random HW questions and make you copy your work and answers for quizzes. Would recommend to anyone.

Prof. Moore is probably the best math teacher I've ever had. She will give you the grade you deserve, no more and no less. She gives you the best opportunity for success with great notes and lectures. Very helpful. Test questions are almost exactly the same as example problems in notes. Don't miss a single review day!

Julia was a really great teacher to have. If you try in the class and make sure to not procrastinate on things like homework or revision, you'll do fine. Make sure to listen carefully, as the entire test is more or less given as slight variations on homework and example problems. She offered at least 5-10pts of extra credit every test.

Julia is by far the greatest math professor at GRCC. She goes over homework and then lectures the rest of class. It's a hard class, so be ready to work, but if you ask questions and put in the time, you'll walk out of the semester with awesome math skills! She has a great personality and makes class fun! Don't even think about using your phone.

I love Professor Moore! She is so intelligent and witty and able to command a classroom of crazy college kids. Her teaching style can be fast-paced, but she takes time to go over homework problems with you. She is obviously very dedicated to her job and is appreciated because of it.

She is a great math mind. Be ready to put a lot of time in to learn the material. She is tough but you will actually learn a lot. On the final exam you get to use a cheat sheet. Homework is not graded but you have to do it in order to pass her tests, and quiz questions are taken directly out of the homework. I would take her again for math

LOVE LOVE LOVE her! She's a spitfire and a fast talker but she explains things in terms I understand. I barely passed 107 and passed this course with a B. Teaching style matters!! Definitely not a class you want to take hungover because she is INTENSE! but it kept me intrigued and present and actually not hating math for once.

Took this class at UofM first and failed it. I took this class as a seven week course at GRCC and this prof managed to make the material make sense. I was a little put off by her passion at first, but I found that her dedication and excitement made calculus more enjoyable. Grades tough, but fair. Wish I could take her again but I am DONE with math!

I loved Professor Moore! She never failed to make me laugh and make class enjoyable. She goes over HW questions before lectures, she spends a lot of time on it then tends to lecture quickly, so pay attention. There were HW copy quizzes after each lesson and as long as you do your HW you will be fine. Just study and ask questions! Great prof!

Professor Moore is very energetic and her lectures are clear, straightforward, and make Calculus fun. My only criticism is that she isn't always very respectful to students (though I could be misinterpreting her tone of voice as angry/annoyed when that's not her intention). But if you put forth the effort, you won't have any issues.

I liked her teaching style & she's funny. The class had a lot of homework (as most math courses do) but she was clear about what needed to get done & her expectations. She gave us the opportunity to retake one test at the end of the semester and 3 of the 13 weekly quizzes are dropped grades. But beware, skip class & you'll miss important stuff!
