Great Teacher
Though more reading is involved, very good teacher and easy.
She is very boring!
borrrrrrrrrrrrrring
Julia is a great teacher. She's great because she lets you pick your own topic for the papers you write.
This has to be the best composition teacher ever. I took both ENC1101 and ENC1102 with her and I have continued to do great in here. By letting us choose our topics on papers, it's a lot easier because we can do it on something we like.
She is a great professor. Cool lectures. And you can revise your papers for a higher grade so it is poss to get an A or B if you revise.
Rawa is an excellent teacher and her lectures are intersting. Very helpful.
she seems to get lost in her own words...for example she say and ummm, you know like 5000 times in one class. She is a awesome person but needs to cut down on the you knows and and umms cause it is extremely boring.
Awesome Class.... I had english 1 had a different college a semster before and I was totally confused by the grad student who taught it. When i came to this class, I actually understood things. I love being able to send quizes online and our little chats.

Great teacher. Young and helpful. Smart but nice. Its fun using the computer and the internet in class. She's cool.
I had Dr. Rawa for humanities and liked her so much that I took comp II with her. She does say Umm... a lot but oh well. She's still way great and I'd sign up if she taught something else!
I took her for comp II online, her class was very unorganized, and she didn't interact with the students on the message boards. I wouldn't take her again.
She does say "umm" alot. Her lectures arn't the most exciting, but are informative. On a scale from 1 to 5, shes a 3 overall
Great Teacher
Awesome teacher. She is so nice and so helpful. If you have to take this class take it with her.
Awesome Professor!
Awesome Teacher.... Her favorite phrase is "umm...", but she knows what she is teaching and is very helpful. I took her for both Comp 1 and 2.
online class so info has to be clear, not in her case. she never responded to email or calls for weeks. Argues with students & GIVES A LOT OF BUSY WORK! She contridicts her self.

Says "ummmm" to the extent its hard to even listen to the lecture. Takes over a month to grade essays. Does not respond to emails within a timely fashion. I was interested in taking this class but have been highly discouraged with the professor. STAY AWAY

This is probably the worst teacher ever. If you want to take Humanities, I advise not taking her. Let's see..."UMMM..Do ta do ta do"...that's all she says...Very Unorganized, and never gives help. She's practically a genius so unless you understand that language do not take her as a teacher.
This has got to be my favorite teacher. I thought I'd be bored but in this class but its real interesting and she's great. Knows her stuff. Just loaned me TROY cause were doing the Greeks. I'm definitely taking Hum II with the doc next semester!
I took her class online. It was pretty confusing because she kept changing the assignments, and what we had to do was unclear because she would contradict herself. I still managed to get an A in there though
I am taking her online course and it is a very intense schedule. Heavy reading and writing. I thought I would learn how to write college reasearch papers, but instead we are to self teach the papers & the focus is heavy on ancient literature. Feels like a Humanities course, instead.
Took class on-line - The worst experience I have ever had on-line & @ school. Syllabus was very confusing/inconsistant - she did not answer e-mails or posted questions for days. When I questioned her lack of response, I received nasty, defensive e-mail and board postings in return. Dropped class!
I really enjoyed this class, thought I did well, & then I got a B-. The midterm/final consists of 5 essay questions & a ridiculous quiz: 100quest./60mins. I didn't finish either w/in the time limit. Thus, the B-. The material was tough but super interesting. Rawa is a nice lady, and responded promptly to all of my questions or concerns.
Enjoyed this class! The tests were challenging but mostly book based. Really good Q/A and media. Dr. Rawa is positive and flexible. She knows her stuff and offers lots of extra credit.
This was my first online class and a great experience. The material was interesting and the work load reasonable. Dr. R. was knowledgeable and encouraging. Answered all my emails quickly and gave clear-cut instructions. The online format worked great with my schedule!
Online Class-Very helpful. Responds to your questions in a timely manner. I recommend this instructor.
Ok class. Lots of discussion postings to read (over 1400 in the class I had). In order to get an A your work must be spectacular (as well as not have any faults).
Very good class, the professor was polite, organized, and helpful. Enjoyed the online component since it made research and communication fun and easy. Enjoyed the lectures and videos. The midterm and final were challenging but not impossible. I worked hard but liked the material and got an A.
I took Dr. Rawa's class online over the summer and found it to be clear and easy to navigate. She responded to my concerns 24/7 and was very encouraging. She has my highest recommendation. I'm taking her for HUM II on campus and she's even better in person. The work load seems about the same for both classes.
A lot of movies and writing, but fun class
Classes are very hard! When you take online class she gives you 60mins for 80questions. The quizes are very hard to even complete in time even if you have read the chapters twice!
Good Prof.- enjoyed class, tough grader
Prof. Rawa is an excellent teacher. She gives a little leeway on the assignments... and grades very fairly. I enjoyed taking Humanities I at the campus and all the movies were great. Loved it on campus. I took Humanities II online with her cause I was so please with 1 and I am pleased again. Challenging class... but do the work and score an "A".
online classes with her SUCK!! i was expecting a comp II class, but instead its more like humanities. im very annoyed with the class. and she takes forever to grade our papers. i wouldnt recommend her online at all!!!
She has a passion for what she teaches. I looked forward to her class. Strongly recommended! Easy A if you read the text and do the postings.
I took her class online, and I have to say that she puts way too much work on us weekly and overall. In college students expect more work, but with her, it's absurd. She gives hardly any time to take the weekly quizzes. That caused my grade to be lower since I was put under so much pressure. She does know her stuff, but she expects way too much.
Challenging class but very useful if you want to learn and you are not just interested in a grade. The lecture is very good. The teacher is very fair. Overall a good teacher.
A lot of work, but she grades fair. She is understanding about situations that might happen during the semester
Really excellent teacher. Young and enthusiastic. Good lectures. Good book (but expensive). Fair work load. The only problem is the online quizzes, they can be tough. But she does give us two attempts at each quiz.
One of the best professors I've ever had. She's having us read the great books in this online class. I really enjoy the reading and she is very, very helpful about the reading and writing assignments. You will love this class if you like to read. Plus, we only have to do 3 papers.
Humanities I is fun and interesting. I'm learning a lot about history and art. Very nice professor. Great lectures. EASY CLASS except for the online quizzes!
She is very enthusiastic about the subjects she teaches which makes the class interesting and fun.

Academic suicide. You may ask yourself how bad could it be? Go ahead “do you feel lucky ?”
WARNING: DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER FOR COMP 2. She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She is unclear on due dates, shows no enthusiasm on the subject, and has horrible communication skills. Every time I would try to clarify anything with her she would reply with a very rude comment. She is hateful and doesn't care about you or your grade!
I would not recommend this teacher for online humanities. Quiz's are very hard to understand and questions can not be found in the chapter even after you have taken the quiz. There is a quiz and 250 words for discussions every week. Midterm and Final’s are 1000-word essay and 100 question test with 1hr to finish.

Very good experience. Learned a great deal in Humanities II. Liked the professor: professional and organized. Just make sure you read the book chapters before you take the timed quizzes. Easy A or B if you attend and do all the work.
Took course online. Lots of reading. Lots of quizzes but the questions are from the book. You can take quizzes twice. Professor responded to my emails quickly and politely. Professor cares, rounds up in pass fail cases. Great class, great professor.
Very good online class. Easy A if you read the textbook chapters for the midterm and final exams. I plan on taking this professor for Hum 2233.
This Professor is Super!I just loved this subject!Tests are based totally on the quizes. The quizes are a little hard, but managable!Plus there is no paper! You have to write 5 essays of 250 words each for the midterm and the final! She is helpful&responds to all the questions the same day!
The class was relatively easy but her grading made no sense. The final exam essay questions were straightforward but the grade didn't seem very fair. The essays I wrote were thought provoking and intelligent but I got an 80%. Didn't seem right for the amount of work I put into them. Other than that the quizzes are easy. So was the final.
I guess all I can say is do your work, attend class, I'd read chapters more than once to really understand everything. Don't take the class as a joke or a blowoff, study and do all the work. Dr. R is a good teacher who enjoys the subject, grading can be alittle strict but fair. work load might be a little much if you take during a busy summer sem.
Good composition class. Reading = classics. However, the professor was fair and helpful. If you take this class, use Smarthinking. It was free and helped me ace the writing assignments.
If you put it the work you can get a B quit easy, But listening to her speak... every other word out of her mouth is "um"
took her online, quiz every week, fairly easy. 100 words on the forum each week, very easy. and midterms and finals are the questions from quiz. all in all, a simple class. doesn't take much of your time up...this class made me have a positive outlook on online courses and am currently enrolled in three of them!
Pretty cool and understanding. Quizzes are not hard, she gives you more than once to take them. Read the book!!! She does use the word um to much.
I took Western Humanities online and most of it was easy. There are quizes each week but since its online you can look up the answers in the book. I had a good A in the class until the participation grade. She grades very unfairly. There was little instruction of the disscusions yet she grades very hard. She is a very unfair teacher.
Took this professor online. She is a horrible teacher. Always uses the word "critical thinking". A terrible and unfair grader. She is hardly ever responsive with your emails and questions and is ALWAYS late in grading your papers. Rawa appears to be one of those teachers who believe she has a "rep" to protect. Don't take her!
This teacher is not a good teacher!! I took her online course and never again will I take her! She grades VERY hard and does not help you correct your mistakes. She also does not explain the assignments. Do not take this class!! Be ready to read & write a lot if you do!
Would reccommend. This was my favorite class last semester. The teacher was knowledgeable and patient. The work load was generally easy to manage. Part of this class was online and part of it was lecture, discussion. The in class time really helped me out with the quizzes and exams which were totally online.
Read the textbook chapters and you should do well on the online quizzes. Excellent class.
Very good teacher. Grading policy was clear. It's an online class so you have to write weekly posts. You also have to read EVERY WEEK. If you don't like to read stuff like Beowulf and Shakespeare, take a different class. We had plenty of time for the 3 major papers and the expectations were crystal clear.
One of those teachers that don't like to give an A - syllabus does not mention grading participation on a curve - be careful
Great, easy, interesting class. I'm taking this as a blended class - some online stuff, some lecture stuff - awesome. All the quizzes and tests are online with questions right from the book. We get 2-3 tries on the quizzes. Plus just gave me an extension on the midterm. No papers. Nice! I plan to take her next semester for Hum 2 - she's cool.
Great class - easy A if you do the work.
The midterm & final are really too much. There's 100 questions to answer in 1 hour which is barely enough time - just over 1/2 a second per question! In addition, there are 5 essay questions to answer as part of these exams. Hint - print all your quizes because these are the exam questions. Study them, there isn't enough time to look them all up.
Lotsa reading!! Very hard timed quizes (20 min. to answer 30 questions), but you can take them 2 or 3 times (doesn't that mean you are not supose to pass them the first time?)but they are averaged together. She grades hard on papers. good luck!
Do not take the pure online class. I had an "A" before "Participation" which was assigned near the last day. We read the whole book (horribly written), after that she made up 2 extra tests (not in the book), none of her test are easy to prepare for, no reviews, read 30+ pages get 20+ questions. Lots of broken links, errors on tests. Horrible class!
Took this professor online. The papers you have to write are ridiculous-- (well, her grading method is!) Doesn't give enough time to complete quizzes & quizzes do not come directly from the book. Spent so many hours studying for this class-more than I should have. Participation grade was totally biased! BEWARE!
Online class was easy. Tests come straight from book and participation is a breeze....if you actually do the work asked of you. The book is a bit boring but easy to understand.
The online class was entertaining and not all that hard. The quizes come from the book and you get the average of two tries. The only problem I found was sometimes the quizes would ask questions relating to the next chapter. All in all an easy A if you do what's asked.
took class this summer and would reccomend. great readings and web links. we were able to take the quizzes several times. we had two multiple-choice exams. no problem.
Take this class. The teacher was helpful and the material was pretty interesting. The work load was totally managable esp. as she gave us extensions. Buy the book since you will need it!
Took Humanities II over the summer. Prof is fair, laid back and quick to respond to emails. I noticed that we had more board work but no essays this time. Easy A if you read and participate!
Easy, fun class. Lots of lecture but interesting. Quizzes are online. You get to take them twice. The only problem is that scores are averaged.
Dr. Rawa is soo tight. Easy going. easy A. all quizes are online, and easy post's .
Took this class online. The worst Ive ever taken. No feedback from email. All her emails are reminders of drop dates.exam are 100 questions in an hour. Not enough time to read the question, no feedback on particiapation score or response to anything. AVOID her online class,
Took her for Humanities this fall semester. Easy class her weekly test are multiple choice, her mid-term and final are exactly word for word as the weekly test. Save the past test! She is slow on responding to emails but extremely easy class. Read, post on board, take test. No papers.
Online class horrible. Tests are multiple choice, but hard. There is little opportunity for points as well-all tests. She doesn't grade weekly assignments on a weekly basis either. She grades them all at the end of the semester. So you get no feedback througout the term. Also, extra credit is a joke-1 point for $20 and a paper.
Dr. R is a superb professor whose ability to teach, and moreover enlighten her students is second to none. Her exams are EASY yet fun. She challenges her students to think critically. Her group work and disscusion board activities are great. She provides quick responses to email questions. She is also really lenient on grading!
Online class; wkly timed quizzes are from text so really comprehend; 1hr for 100 questions mid and final - all online and multi choice; follow participation directions to a T as no feedback till end; only interaction from instructor is via template reminder emails; is a self-disciplined course with specific deadlines; totally doable
You will read the book cover to cover; only way to pass weekly quizzes which are timed! Save quizes, will need for Mid & Final - word-for-word from quizzes! Weekly posts. She does not participate or comment till end of course but will answer emails in a timely fashion. Great online class for a very independent student;-))
Dr. Rawa is a nice lady. You need to buy the book and read it cover to cover. There are weekly quizzes and discussion form postings. Quizzes are not hard if you read the chapters. Read the chapters and SAVE YOUR QUIZZES! Her mid-term and final exam are the quiz questions. Keep your work.
Took her Lit2 online class. Was not difficult. She was clear in what she wanted, and I learned a lot. Enjoyable, and she is helpful. I would recommended her, and take her class again.
Pros: Knows a lot about the subject. Took class online so I don't know much about her teaching style. Cons: Asks for a large amount of online posts. Overall: Class is very difficult online and only 8 weeks. Class is probably much easier and informative if taken in 16 weeks. Either way, prepare to do a lot of work.
Heavy amount of work! Three MLA papers. Tough grader. Large amount of postings each week. The only plus side no final exam. Extra credit was only worth one point!! This is my second and final class with her. Her participation during the weekly posts were non-existent! Disappointing!
Easy. Got an A in humanities. Just had to post weekly for A/B participation grade. Wuz cake. No papers for humanities. But we have to do two short papers for her LIT course this semester. No big deal. I already know I want to write about the ILIAD and ODYSSEy.
Took class over the Summer in 8 weeks. You must be very active in the discussion posts. She really looks at what you write. And the weekly tests are pretty tough. You have to look very deep into your text book for the answers in a short amount of time. Keep all your quizzes for the midterm and final; they are the same questions and answers.
I would recommend this professor to anyone. She is very organized, answers e-mails quickly, and treats her students with respect. Her teaching style is fun and interesting. An awsome teacher!
Took it online. Easy enough. Seemed like a fair grader. Advice:midterm and final are directly from weekly quizzes. save the answers from those each week to use when you take the midterm/final. No papers, just quizzes & posts.
Took online. Professor Rawa is very organized, thorough, and responds to e-mails quickly. Just do a discussion post each week/respond to 3 people/take a quiz and you will do great. Quizzes can sometimes be a little difficult, but aren't too bad. The midterm/final are each about 100 questions and are from the quiz questions. Take her!
I'm an honors student in a blended LIT class. Took this professor for humanities and had an excellent experience! LIT is even better. No busy work! Just exams and a paper. Looks like the paper will be a big deal but the professor is knowledgeable. She has already helped with research ideas. Definitely recommend.
Interesting class but the teacher really isn't active on a week to week basis. She grades paper pretty harshly. I was able to get a high B but the class average was a 50.
I took lit online with Dr. R. The weekly assignment is to read the material she provides online (no book purchase was required) and respond to it on a message board. You also have to respond to 2-3 other student's posts. There are only 4 grades, so you need to be on top of them to get an A. She didn't respond quickly to emails. Don't be lazy!
Prof. Rawa was great! I missed a quite few classes, and easily got an A. Pretty much your only grades are weekly quizzes and discussion posts. The mid-term and the final are all the same questions from the quizzes so save your answers somewhere! NO PAPERS! :)
Great Professor. Took her 9 week course online in Summer. No papers unless you want extra credit. You have 2 discussions per week and also a quiz (which you can take twice)textbook is mandatory and you will use it. Midterm and final are based on your weekly quizzes. Easy A if you just try and participate in discussions. I would highly recommend.
I was interested in this class prior to attending, then I had this professor. On the postings I didn't always reflect the same opinions as her, so I think her and I got off on the wrong foot. I ended with a B in the class but I worked my butt off for it. I'd ask for help on the papers and she's simply tell me to add more.
Took this class online over the summer. The class consists of alot of reading but the work is easy. Online quizzes can be taken twice. Midterm and final are based on the quizzes. Discussion forums are lengthy and time consuming but an A is possible by all means. No paper required for this class.
It was an easy A as long as you did the work. There is a lot of reading but it's not hard. There aren't any papers, just discussion boards and responses to the other students. She didn't really respond if you have a specific question in the middle of the week but the material really isn't all that hard to understand in the first place.
Took this class over the summer. The Norton Anthology was expensive. Otherwise, a great experience. Professor was helpful and quick to respond especially over the weekend. We had two exams and one research paper, but the load was managable and the material was excellent. Recommend.
Says "ummmm" "you know" and repeats the same word multiple times, so it gets hard to follow what she is saying. Takes a long time to grade papers, but responds to emails in a relatively decent timeframe. Gets upset when you don't participate in discussion, however when she is finally done rambling, moves on to a new topic. Don't suggest this prof.
Fairly easy A. Just do the work. She provides lots of chances for extra credit but you shouldn't need it if you do your work.
Dr. Rawa does a great job at laying out the work at the beginning of the year. If you just follow the syllabus and read your text book you won't fail. She rambles a little when someone gets her off topic, but not a whole lot. Anyone that doesn't pass her class didn't take the time to read the book.
If you're not interested in literature, I would not take this class. But if you are, it's great! Rawa is extremely passionate about the subject and its a fairly easy class. She is understanding and laidback. I definitely recommend her.
Dr. Rawa and Prof Pizana's joint class is one of my favorites. Dr. Rawa makes the class interesting and fun and is there when you need help. It looks like a lot of work at the beginning but isn't too much once you get going. Highly Recommend her class for anyone wanting to dive further into humanities than just reading a text book.
IDS 1112 was the best course I've ever taken at this college! I earned 6 credit hours for composition and humanities in one class. Great class discussions. Work load no problem!
I had professor Rawa for humanities and for World Literature. She is a great teacher. She is very helpful and understanding. I would highly encourage everyone to take her classes.
Online Western Humanities:Baroque to Contemporary. I took in summer & it was 2 modules in 1 week. Quizzes from BOOK(need). Midterm/Final are based off Quizzes. Weekly discussion. Extra Cred. offered. Easy A :)
Dr. R as she is known sets a high standard in her classes. She is very helpful, answers E-mail very timely, communicates everything, leaves nothing to chance, and will hep you to succeed and get any grade you want. Following the course calendar is key but if you fall short and communicate she is always happy to grant you a short extension. The best
took this online during summer. 2 modules per week. 2 attempts per quiz, all based on textbook. Midterm and Final are based on quizzes. Do well on all quizzes and discussions and you'll do well in class. An "A" is achievable with minor effort. She offered research paper as Xtra credit. Great easy HUM teacher ever.If you don't do well, then Ur lazy.
Very easy "A". Took this class online over summer. Spent an hour or two doing board work each week. 2 tests each week and you get 2 chances and the grades are averaged. Test were not easy but you can use your text book. Save weekly tests as they are word for word the mid & final. It was my first online class and I loved it! Got an "A"!
Took American Lit online in place of Comp 2 and it was so easy!! Just do your weekly assignments (a couple questions from a story, not hard) and you'll pass for sure!
online summer class. condensed version-lots of work. 2 chap per week. read, post/response 500 words and quiz. two attempts on quiz. one attempt midterm and final.keep quizzes, used for midterm and final. some links to additional study were outdated and not available, list needs to be updated. Do the work and get an A.
I'm taking the Honors Interdisciplinary Studies joint course with Dr. Rawa and Professor Pizana and just... WOW! Great class discussions, packed with plenty of information presented in a manageable manner, plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Definitely knows her stuff and always catering to help students succeed.
Take this class! You get 6 credits for Composition and Humanities! So, you will want to do well. But the workload was totally manageable. The lectures and extra credit options were incredible! Taking IDS 2 in the spring with the doc!
Took her for world lit; she knows what she's talking about and her passion for the subject is obvious. She babbles a lot, so have patience. Her guidelines for the 3 papers are unclear so ASK QUESTIONS. 1 discussion post per week; no text book; read the content and talk with her in class = many participation points. many extra credit opportunities!
She's amazing, one of my favorite teachers of all time! She truly wants you to succeed and she's so sweet and caring. TAKE HER CLASS!!!!
Combined honors course. Just read/scan the chapter, one chapter per quiz. Don't bother with notes in class. Make sure you clarify personally in email exactly what is wanted on projects as their topic vague. Exams come from quizzes. Discussion posts are simple and very short. Easy 6 credit A. Extra credit offered.
AWESOME! 12 quizzes, but if you score 80 or more don't take 2nd one cuz it gets averaged and you'll lose your highest score. 6 discussions w/ 2 replies. 6 journals 250 word count. 1Mid from Ch. 1 to 6. 1 Final from Ch. 7 to 12.Use your index while taking quizzes or exams as answers are in your chapters so read them. late work allowed. Loved Dr. R!!!
Took both Rawa's IDS classes for an easy A. I take online classes now, lol. Don't ask questions she doesn't set up, she'll drone completely off topic rather than just say "I don't know" and waste a lot of time. She'll resent you for it too. I lost the majority of my hearing during this class, she was pretty smug about ignoring me. Easy A though.
Dr.Rawa is amazing! She is so passionate about what she is teaching I absolutely love her. Sometimes she can be a little unclear but if you engage in discussions and ASK QUESTIONS she will definitely answer them. She is also a very sweet woman and it's obvious she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed.
Professor R-White is AWESOME! Her instructions are crystal clear and she is always available if you need extra help. Honestly, this was NOT a class I was looking forward to but she made it a great experience and I have learned a lot!!! Do the extra credit!!
Extremely knowledgeable, nice, and just overall GREAT professor. Always makes time to help you with your work. Really wants you to succeed. Sincere. I recommend and plan to take another class with the doc.
Prof R-White was great. Best teacher I've had so far at SPC. Understanding and helpful. Knows her stuff. Reccommend!
Professor Rawa is absolutely wonderful - I learned so much in this class!
Discussion post and quiz for every chapter. It was an easy A as long as you get the work done that is required. Midterm and final done online. Extra credit offered. Highly recommend this professor.
Enjoyed her feedback. Easy to communicate with. Helpful.
Relatively easy online class. Read the material and post on the discussion board, and you're halfway there. The trick is to stay on top of the writing assignments. There are only three: MLA, midterm, and final. She sends out reminders, but only a few days in advance, so check the dates and don't forget to work on them! Also, lots of extra credit.
Only 3 graded papers. She gives you a clear rubric, but I'm still not sure how my papers were graded. My first wasn't so great, my second was good, but not as good as my third. I got basically the same grade on all. She tried to be helpful when I asked, but I wasn't quite getting it.
extremly helpful. she posts all the material u need up in d2L. you dont need the textbooks. fun and inspiring. i wish i was in her class this year!
Awesome professor. Will do anything to help you. I would highly recommend this teacher
Great teacher! Reasonable work load. Gives extra credit. Always ready to help. Recommended.
Dr. Rawa is the best she wants her students to suceed. dr. Rawa is always there for her students no matter what. For, instance she will help you with your papers for her class. Dr give a lot of chances for extra credit
If you do the work, you will pass this class. Material is right in front of you and you are given a fair amount of time to complete. Online classes can suck but this was a breeze while actually enjoying the material. Highly recommended, never met Rawa but she responded to all emails .
Dr. Rawa is the Bomb. Took her for world Lt1 only 3 papers 750 words each and a post every week. Dr. gives you plenty of extra credit to earn an A. The best of the best. I am going to miss her so badly. Take her for many classes. IDS, Humanities and world Lit 1 or 2. Happy Holidays. Easy A
Dr Rawa is the best. I took her for Humanities and their was a quiz each week with multiple trys. Those quiz's word for word were the mid term and the final. The midterm is only up and till the midterm so any thing after the mid term would be on the final word for word questions. If you do not get an A in this class you did not even try. EC
The grading rubric she uses on class papers is a bit much, She doesn't explain her comments she leaves on papers so I guess you just have to interpret what she meant. I'm pretty sure she didn't include the extra credit because it wasn't indicated. I'm fairly certain she doesn't update participation after midterms because there were no changes
Super easy yet altogether aggravating. Her grading does not follow her rubric and is always at least two weeks later than she said it would be. I took her online class and she never commented on any of the post that anyone made, and she does not reply in any timely fashion. I got a good grade, but that doesn't make up for the headache.
Very helpful professor! BUT get ready to read. Four major essays were required. However, the grading criteria was crystal clear and she was understanding about late work. The extra credit really helped in my case. Looking forward to taking this professor again this semester.
Great class. Readings are available online so no textbook required. Clear syllabus and assignments. This professor is really there for you. Would recommend.
Awesome teacher, really knows what she's teaching. Plus, flexible and available for extra help on writing assignments. I'm taking more classes with Dr. R in the future!
Dr. Rawa is the best. Dr. cares about her students success. We had to write 3 papers 750 words each and that is included in the midterm and final so just 3 papers over all 750 words. Take Dr. Rawa she will help you and work with you.
This professor will do anything to help you succeed! And nominated me for a student award! Textbook could be better.
Sweet!
Very good teacher, I have nothing bad to say about her except that she is a little slow on grading the assignments.
I took classes with Dr Rawa twice, and unfortunately I can't take another class with her unless I jeopardize going off track with credits. She was a phenomenal teacher, definitely knows her material. We watched a lot of videos which helped us learn quicker, and used those notes we took during the videos for tests/quizzes. I highly recommend Dr Rawa
I'm not sure I had an instructor for this class. Only generic copy and paste feedback. Didn't respond to anyone's posts. Several weeks late grading. The second paper was due before the feedback was given on the first. There's not much work, only 3 papers and a short weekly post. Easy to pass but difficult to get an A.
Incredible professor. She's intelligent, kind, and clear. Workload manageable. Extra credit available. I went to every class because I didn't want to miss her lectures. She provided extra help outside of class on papers. My second class with this professor. Would love to take all of my classes with her if I could.
Great Professor. Fair grader, feed back was helpful. She gives a chance for extra credit. would highly recommend.
Dr. Rawa is a very good instructor for humanities. She tends to talk a lot during her lectures and it can get a little boring for an hour and 15 minutes, but she also tries to have some fun while teaching. She gives extra credit throughout the semester and makes sure you'll pass the course. Basically, if you do all the work, you will pass!
Dr. Rawa is a great choice for taking this class. She definitely knows her material and loves to talk about it once class starts until the very last minute. Listening to her for an hour and 15 min can get very boring, but she tries to lighten up the class at times. Multiple quizzes, discussion posts, and 2-3 essays. Do the work, you will pass. :)
I hated how the class was designed on MySPC and the grading was annoying, but the professor was amazing and the content was interesting. The class was graded only on participation and it was only 50 points for all discussions, I wish it was graded by the discussion instead of all together.
Professor Rawa's LIT2120 online course was horrible!!! Your grade is heavily dependent upon 4 essays throughout the course as well as participation which are discussion posts with strict criteria. Professor Rawa's course is unorganized and she is not very good with grading on time. This is the only online class I have ever had any issues with.
Glad its over!
Great class! Get ready to read. Otherwise, easy!
ONLINE: Due dates were scattered, syllabus didn't outline due dates and was missing assignments (I almost missed one because of this), there was no book but many links provided didn't work, tough grader with no personal feedback (generic copy/paste), and when I had a question about my understanding of an assignment, I was directed to a tutor.
She's very slow at grading and grades all assignments from one module at the same time so you can't use the feedback to actually improve your essay. All grades are listed as incomplete so you start the class out with an F and have to work your way up which is kind of annoying. Definitely makes you work for the grade. Overall, not a horrible class.
I wouldn't take her class again. The students that don't show up or care much about doing the work on time are the ones she seems to take the most time out to help. She doesn't like it when you ask questions and is super rude all the time. She is very weird and is hard to listen to during the class period. I don't recommend this teacher at all.
Know that the vast majority of your grade is based on 3 papers in AML2010, and she'll give you an 89% or lower if you don't go truly above and beyond and demonstrate very high-level work. I have received many 89%'s in this class to the point where getting an A is actually difficult even though it's 1% away.
Worst professor Ive ever had! Please do yourself a favor and do not take her class!
Great professor! Extra credit available.
Highly recommended but get ready to read.
Would recommend. Great class.
I took Professor White online and shes the worst online professor Ive ever had. She grades VERY inconsistently, its like she doesnt even read and just gives out random grades. Getting an A is impossible and her extra credit is misleading and a joke. Less than .5% of extra credit is ridiculous and shes very rude to email. Wouldnt recommend.
I know a fellow classmate who did 750 words (syllabus promises anything short of 1,000 would not score above 70%) and scored 86%. I did 1200 words and scored 85%. "Extra Credit" increased grade by literally 1%. Possibly due to pandemic stress, was snippy in email replies. At least she likes giving mostly B's if you do the bare minimum work. B-
Takes late work. Very understanding professor.
She doesnt even teach! Never responds to emails or phone calls. If you do finally get in touch with her, shes rude and doesnt help anyway! She will ruin your gpa for what is basically an easy course with any other professor!
Professor White is a great Professor! She is very kind and understanding. She is a tough grader, and I had to work very very hard and go above and beyond to get even just a B+ sometimes. She definitely made my writing better though by providing very useful critiques. Getting an A is very hard but it is possible if you work hard enough:) I got an A.
She's terrible, she starts everyone at an F so you never know what your true grade is. Not only this she grades and gives no feedback on what was wrong with the paper, would not take this class again.
Only copy and pastes generic feedback on papers, is not helpful for revision at all. Grades after the deadline so you do not get any time to correct your papers. Was three weeks behind all semester. Your grade starts at 0% so it looks like you are failing all semester.
She is unclear in her grading practices and refuses to give actual feedback on any papers. Even for discussion posts, which are participation grades, she won't give a 100 even when you complete all of her criteria perfectly. It's impossible to succeed in her class and she won't help even when you beg for it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Worst professor I've ever had. She never grades above a B on any of the written assignments, no feedback and always weeks late. Even on the participation assignments she only gave 90s despite the fact that we more than followed all of the criteria. She doesn't offer any help, and if you reach out to her, her replies are rude and unhelpful.
Professor White was tough grader, she gave generic feedback for your written assignments, you're unable to improve. She responds to emails, but she doesn't go out of her way to help you, and her replies are rude. The class was not difficult yet getting beyond an A in her class is demanding. Her criteria are her judgment if you have put enough effort.
Great Professor!
Enjoyed Comp 2. Interesting and organized online course. Teacher was caring and flexible about late work which was helpful in my situation. Bonus: No expensive textbooks required.
