Awesome professor. Encourages debate and discussion. Class very unstructured and curriculum can be confusing. Only real complaint is that she uses exams created by the book publisher and they are not consistent with the book chapters or class discussions.

Took her online class. She gives you outlines to study for tests that can be found on her website. She's a real sweetheart!

Dr. Rux is the greatest! She is extremely nice and helpful, her classes are very interesting, and she puts study guides for the tests on her webpage. She requires several papers (about 5 pgs. long), though, so be careful if you aren't a good writer.

Don't expect to learn anything. The class may be easy but she wastes a lot of time just talking about herself. Also expect to write a couple of papers

She is a great teacher. I have taken all of her classes. She makes class fun. If she taught anything else that I have not taken, I would take the class even though I don't need anymore psychology classes.

I took this class online, we had to come to campus 3 times to take exams and turn in our relating essay paper. I enjoyed the class. She provided a study guide for the 3 test as well. Nice lady.

Wonderful teacher. Gives very helpful exam reviews. Half of grade was papers that were a great learning experience as well as a help to the overall grade recieved. A Must take teacher!!!!

Great teacher. She talks about many things that may seem irrelevant to some; however, you must understand that psy. is a broad subject. She loves to engage others in various topics. She seems to love what she does and is interested in the opinions of her students - no matter how absurd. Sweet lady.

Took this class online. She gives study guides for the tests, just look up the ?'s and you will be fine. There are research papers assigned with every test. The papers are easy. If you do the ?'s and paper a B is attainable w/minimal effort. May have to read a little for an A.

Pretty good, tests were a little trouble, but there are study guides. (taken online) Papers were the easiest thing about the class they were easy A's, Pretty good!

Very laid back and willing to discuss any topic of interest. Do not rely on concrete notes b/c she is quite abstract. Requires work- writing many papers, journals, tutoring and an observational project. Easy grader! Flexible. Extra credit opportunities. Download study guides off her website.

I liked her. Her class was kinda hard but you learn alot. She is the typical liberal professor but still a cool person. She opened my eyes to alot of issues.

This professor is really great. She is very good at answering questions and helping with whatever you need. I would recommend her class whole heartedly.

I TOOK DR. RUX ON LINE. HER CLASS WAS VERY INFORMATIVE; BUT SHE WAS NOT HELPFUL RESPONDING TO QUESTION YOU ASKED ABOUT WORK YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. I PASSED HER CLASS WITH A B. YOU HAVE TWO PAPERS THAT YOU HAVE TO DO AND READ YOUR BOOK AND YOU WILL DO FINE. I SAY TAKE HER ON LINE CLASS.

Took her over summer semester. Very nice lady, but she's not very fast in responding to e-mails. Her quizzes are very nit picky and some questions can be very tricky, you have to watch out. I still made an A, but you have to work for it. Only one essay paper due.

Great prof! cares about students progress in the class and in the school. Class was easy, but you have to do a lot of writting. She gives you as much time as you need to complete assignments. Take her! SHE IS WORTH IT!

Excellent Psych instructor. Took her class online, Spring 08. There were two fun papers, 4 discussion topics and NO MIDTERM OR FINAL EXAMS! Your grade is cumulative. She is very helpful, compassionate, and always available. What could be better than that? One of my favorite instructors. I highly recommend her!

She's a great online teacher. I took her for anthropology and it was my easiest online class. I enjoyed it, and it wasn't hard at all. I say take her online class for sure!

Dr. Rux is a wonderful professor. Her class was super easy (or smooth as she would say)! This is the best on-line experience I have had thus far. Her quizzes are open throughout the entire semester which was very helpful to students with other classes. Although this class was fun and easy, there is a lot of writing involved. I made an A.

I took Dr. Rux last semester online and it was a great class. She is a great teacher and I also made an A. Take her and you won't be sorry.

She is so nice and very helpful. She really wants you to get an A. Online you need the book. Quizzes over every chapter, but take whenever.3 projects that are super easy and she grades easy on them! Gives tons of extra credit & adds pts to quizzes if you have valid reasons for missing a question on the quiz. Our final mysteriously vanished. :)

Took Online Class. Very laid back class. Took quizzes when I felt like doing them. A few discussions. 3 papers, that are fun and interesting, however, I would highly recommend that you start on the 3rd paper ASAP and not wait to the last minute. Ms. Rux is a great teacher.

Great teacher! Took 2 of her online classes and came out with A's in both. Tests, papers and discussion topics are given at the beginning of semester and you do them at your own pace, BUT they must be done properlY to get the best grade. Dr. Rux communicates well with her students. If you're willing to work TAKE HER! She's the BEST!!!

She is a very easy teacher. We had 20 multiple choice quizzes and were given 45 minutes to take each quiz. We also had 4 discussion questions that she graded easy. We had 2 papers that she also graded easily. PLEASE take this class. She is excellent and resonds to emails quickly.

Took her online 20 multiple qizzes-45min. Not hard just read chapter prior. 3 essay paper- lit bit time consuming but very interesting and not hard at all. Deadline for essays- no deadline for quizzes you set your pace. Very nice and helpful teacher. Involved with her students and gives u feedback. Excellent instructor!!! Take her- no regrets....

Easy online set-up, fast replies to emails, really enriching projects, you have to read the book. Loved the class, would take again in a heart beat.

Took this class online and enjoyed it. Prof Rux is very involved with her online classes. There are chapter quizzes each week, about 8 online posts and 3 writing assignments. Quizzes and posts open all semester. Would defiantly recommend this professor.

She has been my favorite online teacher thus far. Very encouraging, helpful, informative, and provides interesting topics. Three assignments are given that are posted from day 1 along with the due dates. Quizzes can be taken anytime during the year along with discussion posts. On a scale of 1-10- this is a 10 for sure!

Took her online class. You HAVE to read the book - everything in it. For each chapter you have 20 multiple questions quiz. Make sure that you go back and check each answer in the quiz - I had to e-mail teacher several times because I answered correctly and there were glitches in quizzes. 3 papers to write - she grades them easy. Easy A, just study.

Great professor but tests weren't formatted correctly resulting in a weekly email to correct something that was marked wrong on my test. Other than that, I would highly recommend Professor Rux due to her obvious love of Anthropology and teaching.

I loved this class. YOu do have to read the textbook, and pay attention to the quiz questions, but it is a relatively easy course full of great information! The quizzes were glitchy in places but usually you can figure out the answer no problem.

Not an easy A had to read 20 chapters and a quiz was after each chapter. Also had 3 papers and 4 discussion. Alot of work for an A in the class. IF you want an A be ready to work for it you will have to complete all assignments to do so.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! This teacher was wonderful and the class is self-paced with a few interesting papers peppered in. She grades easy and it is refreshing to take a teacher that loves what she teaches! Yes, there is work involved, but it is relevant to the class. This professor was ridiculous. She came highly recommended. The only good thing about her class is all work including quizzes are due at the end of the semester, except for 3 papers. The papers were like writing a book. Very hard

Dr. Rux was a wonderful teacher. She gives you all assignments up front so you can work at your own pace. She also reminds you of your up coming due dates and is very understanding and helpful. You must read the chapters and take a quiz over each. If you do the work, you should have no trouble with this class.

She was a great teacher! There were 20 quizzes, but you had the entire semester to complete. I had to read the book for each chapter to do well. There were 3 papers, which were not incredibly time consuming, and I managed to get a 100 on all three. It does take up time, but not the most time consuming class. She was really great!

This class is quite a bit of work as you do have like 20 Quizzes that you have to read the chapters for. I thought her quizzes were kinda tricky so read carefully. She does require like 3 papers but she was easy on the grading. A lot of work but you can make an "A" like I did.

Mrs. Rux is a ok teacher. she does keep all assignets and discussions open all semester for U to work on but dont dont get behind or U will be in trouble. I wouldnt do it. Most important get the current book required all tests come from that book but be careful with reading it i deserved a C and she gave me a B what can I say keep up with the work

She is one of the few online professors that actually reads your papers - unlike KIMBERLY KINSEY. I believed she made the class harder than it needed to be. The text is great, but she makes the quizzes tricky, and that's the downside. The papers - RIDICULOUS- harder than they need to be - especially when I'm not a PSYCH major.

Well yeah you got to do all the assignments we arent in high school anymore there was a fieldtrip with an essay but she graded that liberaly.Yes you have to read the whole book and some quiz questions are worded weird but overall not that hard a class

Good prof for online class. It's not an easy class(lots of reading time), but material is not difficult. You MUST read assigned text chapters throughly to get A on quizes.Use publishers practice quizes-2 long papers to write(start early),a few online discussions,papers take time but come from text, not research.

Took class online but LOVED her!!! :) The only thing is that you have to do three projects which suck. (Book report, service learning, and field trip) The class is very easy if you read the text. Mostly learn the vocabulary words and the names of people. Overall, easy as long as you like to read! :) and GREAT online teacher/class.

I took Rux for human development online and this class is easy. She does not give a bunch of busy work and the quizzes are open all semester. She has 3 or 4 disc postings but you don't have to respond to others! 2 writing assign. (child observation and my life's journey) that were fun to me:)I recommend her, she's great and I got an A!

This has been one my favorite online professors. The online curriculum and atmosphere was low stress. She was very encouraging, understanding. No deadlines for quizzes. She gave us the big projects earlier in the semester then ended with quizzes and discussions and a final exam. You definitely will not get away with not reading the book for the exa

Took her online - I wish that all of the other teachers would follow her format. This is the highest "A" I have ever gotten here at GPC. As long as you submit the information on time, you're guaranteed a good grade. Some assignments are based on your own life experiences so she grades fairly. If you get a "B" or below, then it's totally your fault.

I love Dr. Rux. This is my second time taking one of her courses. She expects a lot of work but grades fairly as long as assignments are completed on time. The quizzes are available for you to work at your own pace. There aren't so many discussions that you feel overwhelmed. Her papers take a little time but help you understand the material better.

She is a great teacher. She is very helpful and nice. There is a lot of homeworks and quizes, but at the end it is very useful. Take her class if you have any chance.

Discussions are posted ahead of time so you have time to complete them by the due date. There were 4 which were pretty easy. There are also 2 writing assignments that were also pretty easy. Easy A!

Great class! Be prepared to read a bit. Luckily the chapters are fairly short and interesting. There is a field trip assignment too, but it's pretty fun and inexpensive. If you do the work and show her you care about what you're learning you'll get an A pretty easily.

Course was very organized and straight forward. You have flexibility with the quizzes as far as completion pace, but if you don't read the chapters your grade reflects it. Discussions don't require interaction, but demand well thought out answers that demonstrate understanding of concepts to receive full credit. The A is as easy as you make it.

Prof Rux was wonderful. Assignments are clear. There are a lot of quizzes 17/18 i believe. DO YOUR DISCUSSIONS. There are only 2 and they are 35pts a piece. 2 projects that are fairly easy. She uses the point system so its easyt o keep up with your grade. I missed one discussion and got a B. I regret it to this day. Couldve received an easy A urgh!

18 Quizzes, 2 Discussions, 2 papers. It's a very straight forward class. Read and do your quizzes and you'll be fine. GREAT class!

This class was amazing. Most of the homework was done online due to it being a Study Abroad class. Professor Rux does help students out when they ask for assistance. Reading a textbook, Doing Chapter Outlines, and a Couple Book reviews was not too bad. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and I am glad it was available to take.

Took this class online. You definitely have to read. One thing I notice that she is a tough grader when it comes to the discussion questions. She will find a way to not give you an A on the discussion questions. I do not recommend her.
