He was nice, funny, and easy. Not the most challenging teacher but you can certainly learn enough. A bit frustrating for majors, PERFECT for non-majors.

There is no homework and only 4 tests. Tests are graded on a curve then another curve at the end of the semester. so you might not know exactly what you have if you are boarderline.Tests arent that difficult, but not necessarily all that easy either.CURVE

Very good teacher that teaches everything that will be in each midterm(exam). They are m/c, fill-ins, and mini essays with a bonus 5pts question. Didn't have to read the book and he always gives examples that are interestingly funny that it made me remember them on the tests. I recommend him. :)

You take notes the whole time and if that doesn't bother you, you'll really enjoy the class. He's has a very strange(but funny) sense of humor and never looks the class in the eyes. He's a bit like a white Bill Cosby, but more toned down.

Dr. Edney is the BOMB !!!! he's the best teacher i've ever had in my life ... he's just hilarious .. i highly recommend him for everyone ... and he's really helpful !!

He is one of the best professors you can ever have. there are only four tests, not hard and not very easy. take notes in class and study them, they really help. He's weird but very chill and funny. It's an easy class. Three exams and a final(all multiple choice). That's it. No homework. You have to sign in for attendance at the beginning of class but he doesnt seem to pay attention to it. Pay attention in class and study a little and you'll be fine.

Good professor, funny guy, teaches straight from the book. The 3 hour lecture gets quite tedious though - 3 hours can make the most interesting material hellishly boring. I'd definitely recommend him, but if you can take the twice a week class.

A MUST take! Take notes during lecture and you will do great! Thinking about it, this is actually the first really funny prof here. Doesn't take himself too serious and makes little roleplays to illustrate topics.

Very straightforward, makes his expectations very clear. Nice and approachable. For the tests, just study your lecture notes and read the book. Most of the questions on the tests are from his lectures. 3 midterms, one final, all fifty questions. Lectures are entertaining, he simplifies the material and makes it engaging. Highly recommended.

I had a vague interest in psychology and I heard Edney was good. His class turned out to be very interesting and full of interesting facts that I still mention on a daily basis (for instance the 3rd most popular sex act is watching your partner undress). This is the most interestin n useful course yet. I stil refer back 2 the notes that I took in his class cuz they contain super interstin facts about humans. This class is easy n u dont need the book at al, just take good notes n tests are straightfoward. He is a great teacher, n attendin his class is almost like watchin a movie with sound effects!

Very easy - but attend class (even though most people didn't) -most of his questions come from lecture. He's straightforward, read below comments, they are all true. 4 exams, 50 questions each, etc. Wish he had more discussion/class participation though or a paper...It was hard to keep interest.

Dr. Edney is an EXCELLENT teacher. His lectues are extremely interesting. You should try to attend all the lectures because the tests are based on them, but you can do fine studying from the book too. The only complaint I might have is that there were a couple questions on the tests that seemed trivial but these were the exception and not the rule.

Overall, Prof. Edney is a fine teacher and very knowledgeable on the subject matter which is fascinating. However, you have to keep in mind that he is trained as a researcher and that his teaching style relects that in that the class is conducted in a very straight lecture style and there is little room for class interaction or discussion of the to

I have to comment on Edney, just out of all the teachers on all subjects that I've had at this college, he was my absolute favorite. Attending his classes are mandatory as lectures are things not in the book, but they are all fascinating. He made me want to be a Psych major, too bad the other teachers I've had have been so boring compared to him...

He was a great prof. I took a 3 hour class from him at 8am on a Friday, but it was worth it! He manages to make the material very engaging. Very clear and organized, utilizes every moment of class time. Funny! Also, very humble, and kind seeming. Have to read though, it's true! Study!!

He is the BEST! I looked forward to go to class. I loved his animated dialogues which he called lectures. He only has 3 tests and a final but the final is like another test. All are worth 50 points(multiple choice) make sure to not miss the test dates. If you miss the test he gives you essay questions. why would you want that?! Its more difficult!

He's a cool guy, easy class to succede in. THIS IS NOT AN INTERACTIVE CLASS! just lectures, 4 tests. grades are given by test score only, grades on a curve.

Mr. Edney's class is very time consuming and difficult. His lectures are amusing and very clear, but if you don't read every inch of the chapters he gives you (which can be boring and long) you will not do well on his scantron exams. There aren't very many exams either so doing well depends on reading the book thoroughly.

He is a truly nice man. I loved his class because it was obvious how much he knew and loved pyschology. He is truly engaging while lecturing. He has a very unique, yet hysterical sense of humor. He is humble and almost childlike. Yes his tests can be difficult but he is always willing to help a student out. Really great class!

I loved this teacher! But not the way he taught the class. 3 hours of straight lecture and you're grade is only based on tests. It was nice not to have hw but it put pressure on tests. He's a funny guy though!

Fun lecture. Some of the MCs on the exams can be tricky but easy overall. I attended all his lectures, went over the notes prior to the tests, never read the textbook and still got a B.

I decided to change my major to psychology after taking Edney's class. The subject itself is so interesting! However, it's not an easy A. The class is all lecture, note taking and testing. There are no extra assignments and the tests are very tricky and worded weirdly.

Great professor, although it may be tricky to stay awake since it is purely lectures. You have to take notes & read to do well on the tests, because your class grade depends on those tests, otherwise his examples are amusing and he obviously loves teaching the subject. This teacher is amazing. His teaching style is unorthodox but he is full of funny personal stories that relate to class. His mannerism keep you paying attention. All of us who sit up front enjoy it and get A's on exams. Grades on curve. Read chapters, take notes, learn concepts get A!

Professor Edney was one of the funniest professors when it came to giving examples. 4 exams, NO HOMEWORK NO QUIZ, attendance is DEFINITELY MANDATORY. Exams are mostly based on his in-class notes. The book, personally, was a reference. Overall, great professor.

This was my second attempt at this course I initially took this course with Sage and did not learn a thing, so with Edney he's a very humorous man and gives examples through stories or life experiences. He's very clear when lecturing and the reading isn't too heavy. The class only has three exams and no assignments. I highly recommend him.

I LOVE HIM!!!! I wish he was my professor for all my other classes. Who said his 3 hour lectures are boring? It's actually so exciting. PLUS we get a 10 minute break for every 50 minute of class. AND attendance isn't even mandatory. Oh and it's an easy A

I loved this class. Edney was perhaps the best lecturer I've ever had - it was a joy to listen to him. Your grade will be based on a competitive curve over 4 exams. Do read the textbook as his exams are about 3/5 difficulty.

Moves very slow and some examples drag on a little too long, but makes sure you understand whats going on. Very helpful and knowledgeable Tests are TOUGH but very fair with a MAJOR curve. NO HOMEWORK, but I advise you re-read notes and what you dont get in the book. Test questions 99% from notes. This is a MUST take class! may change my major!
